#JOOSTICE I knew things were going to be different this year but I never expected this sort of double standards. So ironic how the EBU created a situation that is the exact opposite of what Eurovision stands for. Anyway, I uploaded my top with comments as well :)
But if the Netherlands resign for next year we’re giving in to the division and let the dividers win, please come back next year, we need to try to stand United even if the ebu tries to break us ❤️
it's difficult... i mean the dutch broadcoasters can't pretend nothing has happened so i guess the ebu & avrotros are going to have a lot of meetings... what i hope the most is that joost (if he wants) returns next year with an automatic spot in the finals
The performance was fine, politics aside, the song was still bland asf, if this was any other year, Eden would have gotten next to no points from the televote.
@@ikuas3881 tbh,... I dont even like Israel and they should've been disqualified but the song was great and she performed it flawlessly. i think in ideal conditions is a top 10 song.
@@taftybufty Nahhh, no way, in another year maybe I could see the argument for top 10, this year was already so incredibly stacked. The song is far too safe and by the books, in a year where we have Rim Tim Tagi Dim, Europapa, The Code, Doomsday Blue, etc, you really had to stand out and be original. Israel's song didn't do either, just another ballad. And even in that regard, how could you compete when France showed everyone how ballads should be done with an insanely good performance, I can't see Israel in the top 15 this year, much less 10
We have to also take into account that Netherlands took away many votes from other countries. I genuinely think that more people voted for number 5 than they would if he had performed and not be disqualified.
i genuinely think that if we took part we wouldn't have won. i think we would have absolutely crashed the televote, but jury... not so sure. i also believe croatia may would have won, cause i think we would have taken a lot of points of switzerland. but yeah we will never know 🫡
@@escmarissa I think it would affect Croatia more because many of their 12's would become 10's or even 8's meanwhile Switzerland would only lose 1-2 points per country
@@escmarissa Yeah im mostly just playing with the assumption that Europapa fans were most likely to either put their votes on Croatia or didn't vote at all
