Deservedly so, given how he had an "incident" with a female staff member on Thursday night, and is currently being investigated by Swedish police for "unlawful threats". Eurovision was right to disqualify him - it would have been completely inappropriate for him to participate under the circumstances, even if he could still be exonerated after the fact.
@@MrSumphora yeah it was horrible. He pushed a camera away after repeatedly asking people not to film. He and the organization agreed that he wouldn’t be filmed. He didn’t even touch her.
@noahchoi2502 That is his story. The staff member's differs rather considerably, hence the police investigation over his "unlawful threats". I find it interesting that you're just treating his word as gospel. Regardless of whether he's actually prosecuted, or even if he's officially exonerated, the situation is still undeniably serious enough to warrant his disqualification. It's always interesting how fans have parasocial relationships with celebrities and assume they can't possibly do any wrong. The truth doesn't actually matter to you - you've already decided that since you like him he must be innocent and incapable of wrongdoing, when there isn't any rational relationship between those two things. The behaviour of people like you are why so many famous people behave like they're above the law, and also why so many victims struggle to come forward. Just look at the comments - no one is even considering that she might be telling the truth, and people are automatically insisting that she's lying, or even alleging some sort of conspiracy and accusing of her of working for Israel. It's complete insanity. How do you expect victims to come forward if this is the sort of public demonisation they'll face?
I can't believe that fans keep on saying that assault is totally proportional, then they'll say that he pushed the camera away (also illegal), anyways, they don't even know what happened
