  • I love working on CNC and more than that I love the finished chambers and threads - so precise! In this video, I show how concentric my chamber is to rifle's barrel bore.

That’s one hell of a gunsmith lathe

I was always taught that CNC reaming was a NONO!
I myself preached the same thing for years while building for myself, and also the last couple years..... wow was I wrong.
The overall quality of my chambers and dimensional accuracy is stunning now we are using a TL1 and a tl2
But I must admit your machine is amazing. Looks great.
    Good work bud

I was a toolmaker & machinist for around 15 years. I have been stopped in stores and asked questions & I never failed to try & help people that needed it by explaining a machining process they did not understand. they have run into me again and thanked me for solving their problem. I told them it was my pleasure. It sure is funny how when you do not know something you expect someone to help you but yet you turn around and tell people do not ask you because you will not tell or help them but yet you want people to become customers & buy your product after being so ill-mannered. LOL. Do not forget, it took the people helping you years to gain their knowledge to but yet they shared it with you. Just so you know, just because the cuts you just made are true as they should be, does not mean they are true (concentric) with the muzzle end bore.

I don't think you know how much I help my customers and other smiths I get along with. That is a very bold statement from someone who does not know me at all.

@@BlueMountainPrecision LOL I did not make a bold statement. I just made an observation & replied to said observation. I did not make the statement that You refuse to give away so called machining trade secrets, you did. Mabe you will think before you speak.

@@ronnwood5930 And yet you still have never talked with me or know me. Yet you still comment. Hmmm, maybe troll around another channel.

@@olyaandersen I do not have to know him or talk to him. I am going off his own words. You are the troll. He is the one that said he would not be where he is without people sharing their knowledge with him. Then he states he is not willing to help other people. I did not make the statement, he did. I just pointed out his rudeness, so quit trolling me.

How do you true the opposite end of the barrel when it’s within the head stock?

I have an extension for my dual bushing range rod to extend to the outside of the spindle to measure bore runout and clock barrel curvature.

So... people helped you, but *you don't help other people.* I see how it is.
