Thanks. I cant take credit for any original thought though. I believe the original idea came from Gradous. I had them wire EDM'd in there, they work amazing.

Absolutely excellent workmanship! I suggest taking 3-4 measurements across the dummy round's base in different positions...12 oclock, 3 oclock, 6 oclock and 9 oclock to eliminate any error in case the dummy's base is not perfectly flat and perpendicular to the bore. It only takes an extra minute to do.

Great videos, I would like to see you go over your machine, and power flush system

Flush system sure makes it a lot easier but also a lot messier. Taking 25 thousandths at a time takes forever and I am sure the flush system is better on the reamers, keeps them cooler, not to mention not having to start and stop your motor all the time adding lots of extra life to it. Starting and stopping a electric motor all the time is hard on the start caps and extra stress on the lathe with that jumping to speed then stopping.

Does preboring the chamber when using a piloted reamer ever cause any problems? I have wanted to try it but have been nervous it would create problems if alignment wasn't absolutely perfect. Thanks for sharing !

You have bigger balls than I do. I cannot cut a thread that fast, I need to cut a thread relief before hand to disengage the half nut. Did you make those jaws with the brass inserts yourself, or did you buy them?

How close do you tram your barrels to? .0005, or .0001?

That is a Clausing 13x40, I believe they also call it a Student 2500.

@@area419 It would be fantastic to see a video of your set up and hardware. I love the rigid reamer set up too, genius!

What kind of oil are you using? Drak cutting?
