- ✨Unfiltered / Extended Cut of how I have finally fixed my chaos and overwhelm to declutter my studio. James and I tackle everything together in this one as he generously offers creative storage solutions to match my needs. We find thrifted furniture to organise the art shop inventory and packaging materials thus creating much needed space for storing my art materials and supplies. Bless IKEA storage inspiration and organisation! I also talk all things artist shop, running the shop as a small business, the recent troubles with Etsy and the pros of cons of using Etsy. I also go into my thoughts and opinions of AI Art and images, how it's not just a tool and the ethics of selling AI prints on Etsy. I would love to know what you think about that too?

One thing I’ve seen suggested is to have your own web domain that you alone control and even if you don’t have a shop or anything else on there have it as a central location with links to all of your socials and an off site shop like Etsy if you have one so if something does get pulled or shut down they know how to find you.

To help with the slugs in the garden (eating the strawberries) - staple copper wire tape (1" wide) around the top of the garden box - slugs will not cross copper (it kills them). 🙂

It always feels good to have a rearrange and declutter although it's knackering at the time. It just seems to invite in new things, new ideas, new inspirations. A week ago, my hubby and son made me a large shelf to my specifications, to corral all my art supplies. It's been great sorting through everything and re-finding old art supply friends and saying farewell to others I've outgrown or things fantasy me kept that I really have no interest in. I've loved watching you rearrange your shop area and your wider art space.
My son and family live right near stonehenge.. I was there a couple of weeks ago... in the torrential rain... Lovely driving past there every day

I love the item you bought, which you should not have done, because you did not need it - but I was thinking that it would look lovely with a plant in, tumbling down out of it, and lights, just like you said. I'm trying to rationalise my creative space. It does feel like an unending process but it is a worthy one. Love how things are coming together and you have given me some ideas for my tiny space.

Love all your videos. Thanks for inspiring all of us to declutter our creative work space. I love my studio & forever rearranging so that it works for me. I also have an obsession with baskets. Everything looks better in a basket. James is a keeper for sure & what a great asset & work partner. I also have so much stuff but I like to have everything in containers & categories for my separate hobbies. I quilt, crochet, knit, art collage junk journaling & 4 dollhouses so it has to be neat & tidy. Every day is a creative day in my studio if things are put where they belong. It all works so well. I really love your video I have been decluttering and I love it. At first I really used to be scared but I have truly sorted out my mindset and I feel a lot better and space is important for mindset. I really love how real you are and please don't get embarrassed. 🥰🤗

Slugs!? I once wrapped the edge of the garden bed with copper flashing (sticking just above soil level), which discouraged most from even climbing in for a nibble.
And yes, the online photos don't show the richness or depth of the actual artwork - new photo shoot is good idea! Love the new shop offerings - so lovely!

Slugs/snails in the garden? Sprinkle salt about…it dissolves them.
@@CeeceeWhip I'd agree, but too much salt in the garden can affect plant growth. So, target the slugs when you see them, but I'd keep the quantity to a minimum.

Hi Wendy, thanks for another lovely video. Re snails, sand sprinkled on the garden apparently keeps them away, as the sand grains are unfriendly for the snail's soft bodies.

Hello Wendy and James, it’s so good seeing you both working together. I am a little late to the party as I’ve been back to Florida and just now being able to catch up on your videos and I am excited to see what you’re both doing in your studio and that you’ve had your grand dog Jeffies with you.
It’s 2 am almost on Monday morning
1:33 in Northern California, and of course I couldn’t sleep so what better way is to spend some time with two beautiful people.
I’m loving what your direction is for your studio, it’s going to give you a whole new way of looking at things in a different light, and freeing up space always frees the mind as well.
Now that I’m back home I have to get back on that list of things I planned to do before the family stuff came up. Thankfully the probate is almost din.

Tell James to put coffee grounds around the strawberry plants to keep the slugs off. Any coffee shop will part with their used coffee beans
Surprizingly, I have been gone on trips this month, and also for the rest of the summer, I'm now a traveling dog sitter, but I've missed you. I'm back for a while and need to see you on my phone.

You two are couples goals! The studio is progressing beautifully. I personally adore that you keep your studio as a work in progress, changing it to suit wherever you’re at in that particular time.
