I’ve never been a brass polisher until I saw this video and how beautiful the lidded pot turned out! And I have to say keep doing what you are doing. A couple of these comments were bizarre, nitpicking things that I can’t imagine being annoyed by. You are awesome!
Raymore used “BIT” to indicate Bitossi pieces, which I see on the original sticker! So exciting! Laura Caldwell is absolutely the reason for my Bitossi obsession. Also I almost died when you said to ask her husband about the fish plate because I have that same thought whenever I see one now 😂😂 I’m new to your channel and loving it. Great content!
Fantastic haul and a fabulous shop. You have such a great eye for style. And , Andi , you don’t “ have” to change anything you say at all. Your presentation style is authentic and you and that’s what makes them great.😊
Holiday is a tough one and I’m super selective too given it may need to be held for a while! Glad you’re coming to the tapestry fabric dark side. Also need the fish bowl platter. Also obsessed!
Fellow Oregon reseller here. I’ve only been doing it for a year and I love watching your videos to what is selling for you and what you find! I would like to know how you are able to ship the bamboo table. I have a smaller one I haven’t even listed yet because I can’t figure out how to reinforce it enough to not break during shipping. Thanks for all the great content 😊
I usually bubble the legs and top, and will add cardboard pieces around anything that is fragile, like the thin sides. So it's kinda a box within a box. Then I will build a box around it (unless I happen to have the right size). I usually ship the item UPS and then add private insurance in case it breaks.
OMG I loved the single stone candle holder at 9:05! I am not someone that worries about having a pair of candleholders. Singles are awesome in a vignette too.
I use diatomaceous earth on anything I need polished including silver. It’s all natural and will not scratch. Make sure to get the food grade tho and you can even brush your teeth for a nice smooth polished affect. It’s amazing stuff.
❤look forward to Sunday morning coffee with my friend Andi……. I too loved everything you picked up love the brass container. Last week I found one of those wooden music boxes with the inlay very long ! I love it. I’ll be there first part of Sept. I’m very scared. But that’s for mostly bloodwork and ekg pre transplant….. transplant October 11…. My birthday October 8 th :( I’ll be 63
Question ~ how would you package the butterflies for shipping with the antennas? I am always scared they will break which has prevented me from picking them up.
For think metal items, I usually will fold carboard around them and tape it shut. That way it would need to bend the entire card vs. the object in order to do damage. I tend to do this method on really anything that is sticking out and could feel stressed during shipping.
Omg, i hope you picked up that "scratchy" blanket. It was most likely an antique wool and cotton overshot woven coverlett. They are a piece of history highly collectable and very valuable!!!
Around the 10:15 time mark where you were looking at the big brass & black vase, there were a pair of fairly large matching red hobnail looking glass vases or maybe hurricanes- I would have at least investigated them a little because 1) Christmas and 2) matching pair...
Ok. The ceramic vase, brown, with key decorative design, just saw a short and the gal had the same one and stated it was mid century italian batosi!!! Had same markings on the bottom as yours. Or perhaps that was, in fact, your short??? If so sorry, and silly me!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
I found that brass India vase today in my local GW, same size, more black, $14.99. Definitely paid more than I wanted to but I missed another medium sized black one this year at an annual senior center giant summer sale where the organization rents 4 empty mall storefronts for one weekend. The second day is half off. The third day is stuff a container for $10. I missed it on the second day and was two people behind the woman who grabbed it! But I did get a fabulous vintage oil painting for half off instead. I try to focus on the scores…and overpaid today as a result of missing the black vase. Ugh.
Many times, finding cracks in something you don't need or that is overpriced is a good thing. 10:13 To the left it looks like you missed a piece of Empoli that had a very long stem, but it wasn't a very exciting color. I saw that before you showed the Bitossi (I love that piece, and brown is my favorite color!) on the same shelf, so my hunch is probably right.
@@AllPutTogether I was thinking about it and I retract my comment about it probably being Empoli. lol I have a similar one, but it looks quite different proportionately.
Hi. I just found you and going to subscribe! Fun to watch! I want to ask what your brass cleaning technique is. I never have good luck cleaning brass or copper. Thanx! 🎉
If you really want vintage glass, you zoomed right past the two groups of vintage Tiffin Franciscan stemmed glasses (clear optic body, detailed gold border and rim) right next to the French glasses you picked up at about minute 10:30. Just sayin'...
I think when I turned the price over on those they were really expensive. The dollar/glass I paid for the French ones was so cheap it was crazy. Goodwill isn't usually that generous ;)
Wild! You'll have to send me your shop name so I can see what items you have. I find anything Italian metal sells, however pottery and Mexican pottery are more selective.
It seems like everybody is shopping at goodwill and reselling, now these days people are being aware of what they get rid of and selling their own things on eBay and Etsy and other places. And before you know it u can't get anything at these thrift stores
Yes you can. You just have to search. Go to thrift and vintage store and look for those sellers who have nice sales! No one is going to just give it to you - gotta look for it!!!
I just did a dump run recently and was shocked by how much people throw away in the actual trash. Like perfectly good stuff. I think we are poised to see MORE items at the thrift stores as more people realize that used things have value.
People have been reselling since literally the beginning of time . . . retail stores buy and markup when they sell. Its a thing. I mean. Everyone has their own thing they resell and it gives others the opportunity to find things they can't source in their own areas. . . reselling is not new is my point.
I know you don't want to get too personal but the things you see at Goodwill make me think the stores you thrift in are getting donations from pretty wealthy people. All the best to you.
Andi I adore your videos, but you have to stop saying ECKspecially. Italian vase is awesome. I love your style. I'm in Italy, so I'm going to keep my eye our for vases.
I don’t doubt it! So I have to tell you - the day after watching this video I was trying to will a Bitossi into existence at GW, and while I didn’t find something as fabulous as the key vase, I *did* find a big Bitossi for Pier 1 floor vase and was pretty darn excited, so thank you for that good luck juju!! 😄
I’ve never been a brass polisher until I saw this video and how beautiful the lidded pot turned out!

Aww thank you!! Appreciate the encouragement. ❤️
You have such good taste! Love watching what you find!
Thank you so much!!
Andi, thank you for the video. I would love to see you do a holiday video on what/when you sell holiday items.
You got it!
Omg congratulations on the Bitossi and only see the colorful ones thankful for teaching me something new
Yes! Would love to see a video on Christmas/Holiday items!
You got it!
Love the wooden fish bowl.
Fantastic haul and congrats on selling the Bitossi vase and the lidded brass box so quickly. Amazing!
Thanks! I had a feeling they would go fast!

Thank you!! And thanks for the sticker tip - that’s great advice for anyone looking to authenticate. 😘
That Bamboo table! What a find!🤩
I came across the brass butterflies at a sale this weekend, but they wanted $60. I passed. Great finds. I love your individuality. Don’t change!
Thank you so much for watching!!
Oh that Aladdin lamp incense burner was great!! I have one almost exactly the same that was my mothers from the 60's. Great find!
Lots of people love dark wood, especially in small doses like those wonderful candlesticks. I would've cried had you passed them up based on color.
I found Bitossi at my Goodwill, too! I didn't know what it was til I got home. 🎉🎉
So cool! I still can’t believe I found it. So random!
Andi the chair was gorgeous - very English cottagecore. Best wishes from UK . Just discovered your channel
Oooh I think I need that Italian Pottery with Keys ♥️
New subscriber. Your Goodwills out there are AMAZING. South Florida - no bueno!! Checking out your Etsy shop next!
Thx!!
Ugh!! I have those brass butterfllies!! I've had them forever!! love them!!
Great haul as usual Andi!! Bitossi!!! What a score!! Congratulations!!🎉. Yes, you must consult Jesse on his fish platter expertise!! 😂❤
Thanks!!! Excited to thrift with you this weekend!
@@AllPutTogether yay!! Me too 😁💜
Love all the stuff, brass and Italian pottery
Congratulations on finding the Bitossi🎉
Thank you! 😁
THAT MAUVE CHAIR!!! So pretty 😍
I so regret not buying it!!! 😭
Love the mauve chair!
Fantastic haul and a fabulous shop. You have such a great eye for style. And , Andi , you don’t “ have” to change anything you say at all. Your presentation style is authentic and you and that’s what makes them great.😊

I loved the mauve armchair! I’m on the hunt for a floral one xx
I so wish I would have bought it!
Yes to a holiday video. Regarding bamboo
Pieces, do you clean them or treat them with anything particular?
I usually vacuum and wipe them down, but don’t generally put any product on them.
It was fun shopping with you today:)
Thanks for watching!! ;)
Great finds. Love the brass. 😊😊
Thank you! 😊
Stumbled on your channel and enjoyed the video!!
Thank so much for watching!!!
Hello sweetheart. I’ve bought two items from you and I’m so thrilled with both things. Great quality!
Thank you so much Brenda! I really appreciate you supporting my channel and Etsy shop! :)
Yes please on holiday best seller video please🙏 Love your videos. Great style!
I owned one of those picnic baskets about 30 years ago, lol. I thrifted it from Goodwill Canada. We don’t have any Goodwills anymore ☹️
We have Goodwills in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
@@dawn-hr8mg That’s where I am but ours went many years ago after a major scandal. I thought they had all closed. Thanks for the info

Just joining your channel. I loved your haul. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome finds Andi... the brass caddy comes second in my faves... but I'm absolutely obsessed with the Cowboy boot :D
Yay! I’m glad it spoke to someone else too. It was just so cute!
9:37 those giant pink lided pieces are very cute and a little post-modern looking. 😮❤

🤯 I’ve never heard of this technique! Definitely checking that out!
Great tip!!!
The 1:25 & 9:00 pieces really caught my eye. The Bitossi vase was like nothing I had ever seen before.

Love your haul...I love the brass pot with lid..But I personally prefer the aged, vintage look of patinated brass ..
Luckily patina always comes back. And this time it should age evenly.

I have sold several of those brass butterflies. But I always sold them as a set. Never pieced them out.
I’ve done both, but in a booth setting I find I make more piecing them out.
Curious what part of the country you are shopping? My local thrift stores in the Midwest do not have much!
Thank you.
Portland, Oregon
Omg, i hope you picked up that "scratchy" blanket. It was most likely an antique wool and cotton overshot woven coverlett. They are a piece of history highly collectable and very valuable!!!
It had an imperfection and I decided to pass on it. :(
Love that Bitossi. Great idea using the key design
was it a Bitossi though?
Yes! On holiday best sellers. Please.
You got it!
Next to the brass angel wreath holder was a Jim Shore figurine that sells for $$$'s. I wish I was there to buy it.
Thank you for identifying it! Next time I will keep an eye out!
I’ve always avoided butterflies personally. Now I may have to reconsider as those brass ones are pretty cool.
They sell everytime! Even the flimsy metal ones that look cheap sell.
Around the 10:15 time mark where you were looking at the big brass & black vase, there were a pair of fairly large matching red hobnail looking glass vases or maybe hurricanes- I would have at least investigated them a little because 1) Christmas and 2) matching pair...

Glad to see that you recognize Jesse as the "Fish Platter " expert 😂
I'm curious how you knew the pumpkin candle holders were vintage. I would have thought Homegoods or Hobby Lobby.
I did a google search while I was at the store and the style came back as vintage.
Please do the holiday special 🎄
you missed JIM SHORE right beside the angel Xmas brass stocking holder :0(
Thanks for identifying it! Next time I will keep my eyes peeled!

Did you secretly try rubbing the lamp? lol
A Bitossi??? Oh my gosh, i would probably pass out!

Does Etsy have a selling secret? Trying to get more sales
Post new items often. I list throughout the week and it helps stimulate everything to come up higher in search.
Did I miss the part where it was confirmed to be a Bitossi? Did Laura confirm that? Nice!
Someone else helped me in the comments!
It would be nice if you would say the name of the stores your at. Goodwill locations
I can NOT sell art pottery or Mexican/Italian pieces to save my life on Etsy!! How do you and Laura do it??😮
Wild! You'll have to send me your shop name so I can see what items you have. I find anything Italian metal sells, however pottery and Mexican pottery are more selective.

Yes, this area has a good mix of people so we get a nice mix of items.
Why is a crack the deal breaker? Makes no sense
Just for resale, broken things are harder to sell.
