I am sorry, minos... I wish he could avenge his people, but he couldnt. Just because he was facing us. A supreme machine. My god why must his story be so sad, I cant hold my tears anymore
Maybe it's just too obvious they are linked so people skip them. They are just "credits songs for act endings". One is just "slower" and sadder version of the other. The fact that they sound similar is shared in the context they are used in. Another defeat of Gabriel. Probably, in Act III we'll hear something close to tracks in two previous ones...
It's very similar but i think it's because they both are in the baroque period style of playing having one note on the bottom and the upper notes paly the melody. Though, they might be related idk.
I know, I just listed it as track #2 because it's listed as such on Hakita's official channel. It seems that it considers spinal staircase as "P-1 Intro", and Chaos to be the first "real" track.
I would argue that a part of Into the Fire (0-1, 0-3) and Unstoppable Force (0-2, 0-4) also appears in War (P-2). More precisely, go to 0:39 in Unstoppable Force and 2:30 in War and you can hear the same ascending guitar. Now, the ascending chords are just a common way of building tension, but what ties these two together is the key change. After 8 bars of ascending guitar in Unstoppable Force, at 0:50, there is a key change and the ascending guitar repeats for another 8 bars with this slight difference. In War, which for the most part is the same BPM as Unstoppable Force (the Sands of Tide leitmotif is a different time signature) after 8 bars of ascending guitar, there isn't a key change but the introduction of another guitar playing the same ascending notes in a different key, on top of the origional guitar, for another 8 bars. This new guitar mimics the feeling of a key change. So yeah, ascending notes are a common technique, but these are the same time signature, the same number of bars (16 total) and the same 'key change' half way through. And if you go to 0:39 and 2:30 in Unstoppable Force and War respectively and get them to play side by side (it might take a few attempts but you'll know because the drum will line up) you can tell it's the same key as well for each of them. I don't know music lingo so this rant might sound stupid but if you understand what I'm trying to get at that's enough for me tbh.
Now that Layer 7 is out (mostly), I'd like to point out a leitmotif in 7-2 and 7-4. The song "Do Robots Dream of Eternal Sleep?" is a slowed down version of (at the 28 second mark) "Hear! Please tell me I'm not the only one who noticed this, and I can believe this was an honest mistake. Hope this helps for future reference.
The song from 7-3 is called Suffering Leaves Suffering Leaves. Honestly, I think you were hallucinating with that one. I don't hear it.
Am i the only one that just cant hear the sands of tide leitmotif in war? Except for the little bit at the end?
One other thing, I’m pretty sure I can hear a connection with suffering leaves suffering leaves (7-3) and altars of apostasy (6-1) correct me if I’m mistaken
i dont know if anyone else has mentioned it but i think unstoppable force and into the fire share a specific guitar riff, does that count as a motif?
the requiem leitmotif can be found in war without reason
the only small problem is that i like the part way more before the leitmotif in WAR
Requiem leitmotif - best leitmotif in game. Cmm)
glory motif solos tbh
opinion, castle vein motif is V1's theme
i think the flesh prison for p-3 should be the flesh dodecahedron
fleshy purgatory
flesh oubliette
@@emerald6597 what is an oublette
flesh planet
i have also flesh cylinder in mind
i believe that the motif will be in 7-2 because both previous motifs vere from second level of the layer wich may seems at first as stupid to think so but it seems hakita likes these paterns like a new arm in last level of first layer or gabriel on end of each act or prime soul being hidden in last layer of act
we did not get a new arm on the new layer
Nice pfp :3
I feel like the last one isnt glory but altars of apostasy
i know you didn't just use screwdriver on the 6-1 hideous mass.
i think the requiem leitmotif is also in glory (im not sure)
Damnit someone beat me to it
Circles :)
What about the requiem motif in glory?
