    There is no noticeable lag between power application and power provided with the gear driven Garrett turbo-prop. The 331 is a BEAST!

      Great question, I just place my self as a consumer, and try to look at an objective view. Been simming for many years. Hey you can check some my other videos out here. Did a First look at KMBS.

    I just purchased V1.2 9/28/2019 and the seat belts still turn on the parking brake and I have no "Ready for taxi" panel pop up. I either have to start in a saved flight running or cold and dark and start manually. Oh well, I like it and don't regret the purchase.

    Would love to see this in Xplane 11 and see how the frames handle up. Great video. The aircraft looks absolutely phenomenal.

    Nice one, Shane. As always, beautiful visuals from Carenado. Unfortunate about the sounds. I like my PC12 from them but it really lacks high quality sounds...I wish Carenado would publish less frequently, but more polished aircrafts with more 'depth'.

      In my mind I suspect a bottle of red wine. However, that is an odd place for wine, beside a jump seat for a child to sit in - - you never know, may be the kid became a wino early in life ;)

    Caranedo surely have beautiful graphics, kind of makes up for a certain lack of systems realism. My wife just commented that the engines sound like lawnmowers!🤭 Cheers!

      @@AusFlightSimmer no worries! I think Caranedo have some parts of what contributes to a good sim. Sharp photo real flight decks! But other little things help. Icing and rain effects on windshield an airframe and effective anti ice/wipers. (Rainmaker/truglass) Vibration effects (Chaseplane) Engine wear and aircraft damage(A2A). Systems fidelity (pmdg without the silly greedy price) Accurate flight model (Majestic dash 8) A way to jump ahead to waypoints, so you don't have to sit there for 8 hours to fly long hauls.(QW 787) QW really got that right with their jump ahead feature! Scenery is another topic, but MSFS2020 may be our answer for that? Cheers

    I fly the 690B every day as an air ambulance pilot, for some reason Carenado will not even talk to me about doing a review of their product. Why?

    You make great videos! I'm fairly new to FS and have yet to purchase a nice, capable high end PC. So, I apologize if my questions stem from a lack of understanding, and in no way are they intended to be critical of the video. From what I have seen, Carenado is very impressive and appears to be one of the best products on the market. I just have one curiosity re this particular video. The engines seem to sound a little out of sync with what the aircraft is doing in terms of attitude, decent, etc. and they also sound like they are at a fairly constant speed throughout the flight (which might be normal). Also, on landing, their sound seems to bounce back and forth in a somewhat unusual pattern (if or when) the props were reversed. Just curious if that is normal for Carenado, or if it is something amiss in the software. Thanks for any feedback and cheers to more great videos mate!

    • @AusFlightSimmer

      Robert, thanks for the comment. Something was wrong with my pedals on this flight, they kept pushing to the left. Other flights with this aircraft, hasn't been a problem.

    • @robertmebane9532
      @robertmebane9532 7 років тому +1

      I see. The TC appears to be a bit of a challenge on the runway due to its disposition re its close proximity to the ground and its gear configuration. I have seen that in some footage of real world takeoffs and landings. My dad's pilot flew one for another company after we sold our corporate Baron. We lived in the mountains after that and he buzzed our house with a couple of flybys... such an incredibly beautiful airplane! Thanks for sharing!

  • @ZZstaff

    Was the reason the aircraft was all over the place on the landing due to cross wind or lack of nose wheel/rudder control? I never flew this aircraft in real life. - Thank you for this video.

    • @JIMJAMSC
      @JIMJAMSC 7 років тому +1

      I flew the 690 among others and with a tm warthog hotas and saitek pro flight pedals get all kind of bent out of shape on a normally sedate bird. Its a low cg, wide stance and big tail so no issue with tail authority. You have to get your speed down below like 60 or so and be smooth/even on the pedals. That said ground handling has always sucked and changed little since fs2004. Add sensitive pedals/active sky winds and it can be like landing on ice.

    • @AusFlightSimmer
      @AusFlightSimmer  7 років тому

      +JIMJAMSC Something was out on my end. The two previous flight I never occured this problem. I did mention that in the video. Thanks for the support.

      JIMJAMSC,
      I use a Thrustmaster T.16000M and have no problem keeping the nose of this sim. aircraft on the center line. The Milviz P-38 Red Bull is tricky to taxi.
      Aus Flight Simmer, thank you for your comment.

    Don't mean to be down on the product, perhaps it's me, but the VC looks cheap, not the kind of nicely detailed VC that we see with the likes of planes from PMDG and A2A. Carenado have always been accused of being more interested in churning out aircraft for a fast buck rather than for producing seriously gorgeous aircraft. From what I've read elsewhere and seen from this video, this certainly confirms my thoughts. A shame, as I was looking forward to purchasing this aircraft, but hey ho.
