Great vid as always Shane, never seen that wrought iron work on props before, obviously to scoop more air,but I bet that could bite you on the arse if your not paying attention, cheers mate, all the best from Devon England,oh and is that 750nstandard in that beauty.
Great review and I agree that it's time for Carenado to up the game on the cockpit button sounds, still they do produce good quality aircraft. I'm always a sucker for Pipers and the Cheyennes are impressive aircraft. I'm still getting familiar with this one but I love it's little brother the Cheyenne ll. There is a Cheyenne 400XL that flies into my local strip on a weekly basis and I love watching it take off, the pilot must know folks are watching cause he flies it like a fighter, his climb angles are positively amazing. Money really does have a few minor advantages,,,,sigh. Keep up the fine work Shane, cheers!
Always enjoy your videos. I'd heard about the "hot start" on the right engine and now I've seen it...that needle went *woosh*! I hope they get that fixed and I think they've said there are a few things they'll be addressing.
Does this software come equipped with a pilot operating handbook, for general study for all the V speeds weight and balance and all the other good stuff?
What a big puppy she's and a bad ass turboprop indeed. Got to love the sound she makes from the outside :), I enjoyed your flying... Also what's the soundtrack that you use for your introduction I really like it and it's very catchy
Enjoyed the video. What scenery do you use for Oz? the scenery that comes with XPlane 11 for Australia i s missing a couple of things - like the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Would enjoy to see a video focused on the handling of aircraft eg. stalling, spin-recovery etc in a Cessna and cross-wind landings.
Hi, may I ask you something? When I have to start up the engines when I select the Cold and Dark setting, the engines won't start! what procedure do you do to start up?
Awesome vid as usual. Carenado's "as expected" short unreal 10 sec P6 spool up. What's the rush? Does it cost that much more to use an actual P6 spool up sound track instead of publishing a short cutoff version? They've got all the other plane sound characteristics down pretty good but kicked spool up to the curb as usual.
I dig the plane.. wish it was the 400LS.. but I dig the plane. For yourself and all.. goto your main sim folder/Sound/Carenado/CarSoundPA42III... and change the sounds to whatever you like (With each replaced sound with same file name of course). The interwebs is full of clicks, boops, and digs. Take off... you pegged it past red line.. With ice protection off, throttle to 17.. wheels up, flaps up, pull props down to 1800.. trq should climb to almost red line.. adjust as needed.
Cheer thanks for all the tips. I would prefer for the price charged by Careando, that they would update their sound files every once and a while. Shouldn't have to do this manual. But since they are not, I will take a look. Thank you
Agree.. Carenado is pretty with half decent flight models.. sorta middle scale imho.. 40 bucks maybe a little high for this type. Like you, I do wish they would put a little more effort into the details... And I love your vids! Thank you.
Once again a steller video . . . congrats . . . . .My UA-cam channel has been neglected due to my recent accident . . . .but back at it soon . . . I hope
The startup sequence is way off. It starts way too fast, and is way too fast for the rest of it. Also the engine sounds are way off when landing, as well as the reverse. FYI, there's also a IIIA.
Aus Flight Simmer, the PT6 takes longer from ignition to idle than this model. Also, this model reaches a high rpm, then reduces its rpm to idle much like a piston engine does. The real PT6 doesn't do this. It reaches its flight/hi idle rpm and stabilizes there without any reduction. There is a great factory video on UA-cam recorded on the inside of a TBM 9xx series during startup. Granted, the TBM's PT6 isn't mounted on the wings like the Cheyenne, making the TBM startup louder, but the sounds should be somewhat similar. Just my 2 cents worth.
Nice to the Father and son are still flying in 2021! What happened to the Cheyenne III ?
The detail in those days were so Good!
Yeah P3D, was looking good back in the days. Merry Christmas Clive.
A good test flight mate!! Good work LIKED it. Keep going the good work love always people working hard on YT
Thank you bull :)))))

Nice one Shane. Love me some twin prop :-) Great scenery too!
Thanks mate :)

Great to hear, thanks Greg :)

To be honest its been awhile since I have flown her....
Nice video and thanks for the competition, some great prizes.
Good Luck with the comp :)
I’m trying to decide between buying this one and the PA31T, any noticeable pros or cons?

Thanks Jimmy. Lets hope for the future... :)
I hope this becomes available on MSFS.
Nice Landing! How can I setup my fsx like yours? I just have a regular computer with the normal fsx specs.
Thanks for the reply Shane. I would like to know which Australian scenery pack you are using - as per my last comment.
Ken, ORBX regions for Australia. Cheers

¿ is GTN 750 compatible with this plane ?
Yes for sure, I was using it in this video.
I really like the scenery. I've been meaning to pick it up. Did you add the GTN 750?
How is this compared to their PA31 Chieftain?
I don't think I have flown the Chieftain sorry. Thanks for checking out the video.
Beautiful aircraft! This cheyenne
Excellent Video. Sold. Thank you.
Welcome Karoli :)
11:30 quickest montage ever... accident?

Engine startup doesn't sound right at all!
Which part Jim??
