Kyle Maxwell same here. Decent material, good presentation in tone and what not. Don’t think he’s a magic genius of any kind but he’s providing a solid service despite that.
I ordered 3 Lyra Dawnbringers from TCGPlayer, I live in Perth Western Australia so it took 6 working days to arrive, couldn't be happier. Thanks Dev, your channel is the best for MTG players.
Youcant Stopme! The name of the ship is Weatherlight, not The Weatherlight. If it wasn’t a vehicle card, I would agree that The Weathertight would be a better name. But if you have a boat, and you name it Weatherlight, you wouldn’t paint The Weatherlight on the side.
It's cool that you mentioned Patient Rebuilding. I was playing an Esper Chromium deck (before Nexus Turbofog), and for my control mirror match I played 2 Patient Rebuilding. The card is insane even now, it helps on mirror matches a lot when all you want is to outvalue the opponent. I don't even know how bad it is now, because it has won me games, either with milling out or with sheer value. I think it was fairly placed, but I also sorta find it funny, because it almost could get worse if Cleansing Nova really does see more play. Either way, right now it performs amazingly, because once it comes down the opponent sorta just slowly wastes away.
Dev, you mentioned in this video about playing Arena. As a long time patron who has been looking forward to your promise to do play videos, I'm really hoping you're going to take advantage of the Arena streaming benefits!! Come on Dev, you met those requirements on patreon a long time ago.
Great video Dev, I liked you insights However, I'd suggest doing it the other way around next time. There are 3 main reasons for a card to be better: 1) speculation over a new theme 2) being the next best thing of a rotating card 3) being easily nullified by a rotating card So I'd start with the reasons (perhaps splitting it to 2/3 videos), and the go like - "Fatal Push is out, so These will get better, This removal might get better since it'll replace it"; "Golgari probably gonna do some g-yard shenanigans, so you might wanna get a closer look at Those"
Nice list Dev! Although the only thing I disagree with you on is that Goblins will be the face of Red Aggro - I think it's definitely going to be Keld Burn. I currently play it and have been winning quite alot. As long as there's some decent 1 drop replacements for Bomat and Soul Scar I think it will be very strong post rotation, there should be with the Izzet (wizards) and Boros (aggro) guilds coming straight away.
This is how I've been running it and it's been winning me $$. A few changes will be needed with rotation, but I think between stuff we already have and stuff in Rav it should be fine. tappedout.net/mtg-decks/keld-burn-4/
Stu R thanks for sharing! Soul-Scar Mage is going to be a really big loss against mono-green, but it should be able to go under damn near everything else. It also costs basically nothing to build if you skip the Chandra in the SB (which weakens the deck, but doubles the price, sooooooo).
Dev i love ur vids! Only been playing for a couple months and your tips have been fire. Local players are impressed how much knowledge ive gained. Keep it up and ill keep watching! Thanks
I have 3 major predictions about the upcoming Ravnica set...three reprints from the Masques block. Seal of Cleansing, Seal of Removal, and Seal of Strength. They could all see Standard play, they would be fun in Modern, and the original Ravnica block had the other two seals (Seal of Doom, and Seal of Fire) reprinted for Rakdos. Hell, maybe they'd reprint all of them. They aren't overpowered in any way, they are just versatile and interesting.
I'm just glad creatures will take back the mantle of greatness. It's a shame so many creatures lost their edginess because they can't stay on the field long enough to be good. Removal cards are the bane of magic but a very necessary evil. Can't wait for post rotation.
"shanna, sisay's legacy", most of the removals you told are either less cost efficiency or hability based, so it will be preatty hard to take down shanna, also "slaughter the strong" gets vine mare, does not gets nicol bolas, but still a very good card.
Before watching, my top five are: - Selesnya Huatli - Boros Huatli - Banefire - Shanna, Sisay’s Legacy - Journey to Eternity I also would like to have Azor, Angrath, and Kumina as honorable mentions because they won’t get better immediately after rotation, but I think will become really good once the second Ravnica set comes out. My 6-10 are: - Path of Mettle - Sarkhan Fireblood - Goblin Warchief - Resplendent Angel - Twilight Prophet
War 1412 the way the stack works, Sunbird's Invocation triggers, then if you hit Approach it casts first, and resolves, then the one you cast from your hand resolves and you win. Assuming the second one doesn't get countered
Ricardo8388 Izzet Guild (RU) will almost certainly have wizards. The past 2 times we've been to ravnica each Guild had a cycle of Guildmages that were wizards iirc You should check out past ravnica cards for the general Guild themes - wizards is definitely part of the izzit theme
Maybe run Siren Stormtamer instead of SSM? Obviously not as good from a pure aggro stance considering lack of prowess, but we will still have a total of 3 1-drop wizards.
B/W control or Abzan control, has great potential post rotation. Lich's Mastery at the very least, poses a side board slot? Edit: Dev. In regards to the dos your facing. Do have options with your isp? See if they can change your ip address? That should negate the dos for now.
Smelt will become very useful against artifacts. For mono decks, Diamond Mare adds a lot of value. I see Detection Tower being a staple as it shuts down Vine Mare's hexproof,
totally agree on the resurgence of tribal deck. At this point pre Ixalan sets just offer to much OP cards that just plainout outclass the newer cards giving them almost no place to shine cuz there are just better options out there. That in combination with the Guilds of Ravnica release which there is a high probability that they gonna give nice addititions to favor the existing dual colored tribes. I am excited and hoping for grand meta shift. Tired of all the gods, gearhulks and vehicles ...
I like the list, but I have some feedback for you, Dev: A lot of cards leaving at rotation have equivalents that will stay in. Take Unlicensed Disintegration for example. M19's Murder replaces it and still makes Lyra Dawnbringer vulnerable. Cleansing Nova is just an alternative Fumigate, just without the life-gain. Anyway, just wanted to pass those thoughts along. Keep these vids coming.
Let's be real. Chromium may cost a bunch, but you definitely aren't gonna close out the game quicker with Patient Rebuilding. I think Chromium's sole purpose is to be a gigantic control finisher, with all of the wipes and counterspells that aren't rotating facilitating that game plan.
Hey Dev! Long time Patron and ordained minister here. Definitely prayed for your internet. Of course, you obviously had it fixed by the time I did that, but I just wanted to let you know that your calls to action work.
My top 5 1. Carnage Tyrant because it is a crazy can't be Murdered dinosaur. 2. Rekindling Phoenix a threat you have to answer twice too. 3. Muldrotha the Gravetide another hard to answer threat that can just keep reanimating all sorts of other threats without a mana cost like Scarab God. 4. Karn, Scion of Urza is in every deck already what's to say Karn will be in every deck after rotation. 5. Teferi, Hero of Dominaria unless WOTC makes slower control spells Teferi is going to control standard.
Sarkhan Fireblood? But he'll likely be dropped from mono-red and red black as a sideboard card against control, and Bolas is good enough to play right now. Plus they'll be mana fixing in Ravnica. If anything I expect him to see less play after rotation, unless Dragons takes off in a big way.
I do think Siege-Gang has a lot of potential. I'm really looking forward to rotation, because Jesus, 8 sets, but it's a shame I won't be able to carry on my ridiculous tokens deck with Anointed Precession and Parharmonicon with Siege-Gang and Regal Caracal. I'm hoping Goblins will bring something fun along those lines. Also, I'd take a look at Makeshift Munitions with Goblin suicide shenanigans, it's been really valuable for me out of the sideboard against Turbo Fog and Teferi control, especially since it's really hard to resolve a Siege-Gang against blue-white.
Really hope so re Siege-Gang, I have my Brawl deck with all the goblins, Cleansing Nova, a load of burn with Firesong & Sunspeaker - and in there all the gobbos are fantastic
Hi dev, like the video and agree with most of what you listed apart from patient rebuilding whic is very controversial. I think vances blasting cannons and one of either nezahal or chromium become very likely to be a control finisher of choice. Just my 2 cents.
My #1 - gaea's blessing. Every time they have printed it mill has been competitive (Weatherlight, Time Spiral and now) and every time having 2 main deck has won me FNMs. It struggles a little now with Disallow but barring a reprint of a similar effect - disallow is gone.
I think elvish clancaller has a chance, elves tribal may be a deck. They would be doing golgari in guilds right? So theoretically they'll be adding useful elves. Also I hope there is some thallid action going on after rotation.
I'm going to throw this out there, yes Abrade is leaving. But there's still Invoke the Divine. Which is an Abrade without the ability to target creatures. There's also Cleansing Nova. While red might be losing their artifact removal, white is gaining it. So it's hard for me to believe artifacts get stronger because there are already people running Novas and Divines sideboard (or in some cases main board) in their Esper and U/W control decks. Granted both are more expensive than Abrade, they still have the same effect and in control decks the expense isn't really a bar.
Banefire! UR! Can control Aggro cause UR and Can finish with control because u cant counter it. Commit and Failure rotates. Mirari conjecture + Primal wellspring combo.
I think that since we've already been to ravnica so much we can guess some reprints. Like obviously the signet's but I bet we'll see dreadbore or abrupt decay, If that happens I think I can see jund jumping to the top. That's my guess for right now. They very well could not be reprinted but we'll see. If I'm right I think they'll just fill the hole that abrade, unlicenced and push have (although they don't do it as well)
As of the moment there are so many cards to put into a slot for red decks and mix colors with red. I'd rather have a full set of abrade as of the moment than banefire. Once rotation comes.. it will take that slot. I really think that more powerful cards will come to support banefire wherein not only control will be affected.
20:28 Blue-white's real win condition will still be untouched - boredom. Most opponents quit long before the actual win condition comes into play, if there even is a win condition outside of endlessly restacking the library.
Smelt and naturalize are still going to be in standard post rotation so the abrade hate is mostly null in regards to artifacts but this list is still bad ass
True but they are sideboard cards, Abrade is main deck card. So in a match, the artifact deck will probably win game 1 so you are down a game and then you have to deal with what they sideboard.
I actually wonder what Sarkhans future is lore wise and what that means for the actual game. I mean he is clearly designed to cast Bolas. In a red deck with blue/black for splash you get that other 2 mana and he's on the field. Clearly by design. He's not in Guilds but I think he will be in the set after that. Maybe Tezz get's killed somehow and He replace's him?
without abrade, I think Immortal sun might get better as well with Bolas and plenty of other planes walkers. I don't think it would be more than a one of in any deck but it does have the potential to shut down a lot of powerful cards. In anything that can get mana quickly it is just a good value card if you aren't running planes walkers yourself.
Speaking of Aristocrats I would love to see that deck, mainly because I want to play demon of catastrophe. I am not very experienced in brewing, so I would love to see your recommendation.
@@BronzeDragon0009 yeah, fair point, but I'd think you would be safe acquiring creatures that have good leaves the battlefield/dies effects. All the best sacrifice effects will be in the guild.
Aside from your list, I think resplendent angel could become more important. While lightning strike still kills it, the rotation of abrade such may give it enough room
I still think four Bears blade is going to be on that list with lot of the Exile options being eliminated out of rotation plus with the sacrifice engine and tokens in red and white I honestly think that it will be very playable
hmmm, losing the bicycle lands? sounds like we're going to be getting the shocklands, giving us the best possible standard lands cycle other than just reprinting the sac lands. or wizards will just blow it again like usual.
I wouldn't rely too heavily on the format slowing down for too long. If there are just a couple good aggro cards for red or green in a standard with shocks and check lands, we will be in for another fast ass standard meta like Innistrad + RTR standard.
Is a boros pyroclasm a better sweeper? Like if you had WR deal 2 damage to all creatures, if a creature would be destroyed this way exile it instead? Magmahelix...
I think you missed Walk the Plank. I know we are spoiled by Fatal Push but, WtP even at sorcery speed is the real deal. Until Merfolk is a contender, Walk replaces the best kill spell in a long time.
gavin scott I run that deck and i have to say, it is very powerful, RB Guttersnipe Wizard burn I got 3-0 last Friday, the last match I face was mono red aggro it lost because of my healing factor of my deck
gavin scott not a lot since I had most of it before m19 but m19 gave it the push it needed, here is the deck list. Creatures: 3x Ghitu Lavarunner 3x Soul-Scar Mage ( this is the only card in the deck rotating, hopefully in rrtr he gets a replacement) 4x Viashino Pyromancer 4x Guttersnipe Instants: 4x Shock 4x Lightning Strike 4x Wizard's Lightning Sorcery: 4x Sovereign's Bite ( the healing part of the deck, combines well with double cast ) 2x Doublecast 2x Sword-Point Diplomacy ( you can go 4 copies if you want, and its a very under used draw spell but it gives your opponent a choice of what you keep but they have to pay 3 life which is still good for us, and because this is a burn deck they have no choice but give us the cards if there health is low ) 1x Banefire Enchantment: 1x Vance's Blasting Cannons ( good late game card in my opinion for drawing cards) 4x The Flame of Keld ( change it to 2 copies if you want ) Land: 4x Dragonskull Summit 11x Mountain 5x Swamp
gavin scott may luck be your side but be careful in my experience with the deck UW control eats this deck because of counter spells and life gain, mono green stompy you have to be quicker than it because of its beefy creatures can eat 2 kill spells and hit hard and mono white, depending on the deck build, knights, angels ( because one of the angels gives creatures and your opponent but itself hexproof so you can't target them, the angel is beefy as a 3/4 so it will take 2 kill spells depending if flame of keld is its last chapter ) and then life gain and Vampires
Just became a Patron! You've been my favorite MTG UA-camr for a while now, so glad to support your content! Keep up the good work and videos, man!
Just discovered your channel a few days ago thanks to the Professor. Digging your calm, kind style. Keep on doing you!
Kyle Maxwell same here. Decent material, good presentation in tone and what not. Don’t think he’s a magic genius of any kind but he’s providing a solid service despite that.
Siege-Gang is my pet card. I passionately refer to it as "Lil Jon & the Eastside Boys"
Magic Max Lil Siege and the Eastside Gang?
Well done
Nice
This Guy Broke it
It creates 4 goblins who probably do not speak English and is crazy good, so I'll call it el Cuatro Locos
''Siege Gang Commander, Sir, Squee reporting Sir!''
I ordered 3 Lyra Dawnbringers from TCGPlayer, I live in Perth Western Australia so it took 6 working days to arrive, couldn't be happier. Thanks Dev, your channel is the best for MTG players.
I'm surprised no one has even brought up Detection Tower as an answer to Bogle Horses or Modern Bogles
Bogles isn't oppressive or prevalent enough for people to sideboard against it specifically, so the tower probably won't see play
@@SpiceWeazel agreed on Modern, but this will likely be a huge thing in Standard with the format getting slow enough for Carny T and the V Mary
I totally agree on "The Weatherlight".

Predicting the Gruul guild is going to have an Abrade reprint
Joey Quinones nah we got smelt
I predict that the Gruul version of Abrade will be better than Abrade.
1RG: choose one:deal 3dmg; destroy target artifact; destroy target enchantment; destroy target artifact AND enchantment
If dmg was dealt this turn, choose 2?
Not impossible. I wouldnt mind new charms
How about this: RG: Choose one OR both: 3dmg to player or destroy target artifact
Muldrotha might be the most powerful build around creature remaining in the format.
I see Twilight Prophet doin some something. Maybe? Its a Damn good card.
Great video Dev, I liked you insights
However, I'd suggest doing it the other way around next time.
There are 3 main reasons for a card to be better:
1) speculation over a new theme
2) being the next best thing of a rotating card
3) being easily nullified by a rotating card
So I'd start with the reasons (perhaps splitting it to 2/3 videos), and the go like - "Fatal Push is out, so These will get better, This removal might get better since it'll replace it"; "Golgari probably gonna do some g-yard shenanigans, so you might wanna get a closer look at Those"
Also, good luck with you internet!! Hope you can cast out this disgusting hacker before rotation hits
Nice list Dev! Although the only thing I disagree with you on is that Goblins will be the face of Red Aggro - I think it's definitely going to be Keld Burn. As long as there's some decent 1 drop replacements for Bomat and Soul Scar I think it will be very strong post rotation, there should be with the Izzet (wizards) and Boros (aggro) guilds coming straight away.
Another note in favor of your point, turbo fog can't negate damage from spells. You're probably right about burn being the next best red deck.
Stu R same here with the keld, but is yours mono red or Red Black
Agreed on Flame of Keld as the monored deck of choice. If it can live to chapter 3 with Guttersnipe, it can't lose. Big if, but huge payoff.
Thanks
Sorry to hear about the denial of service attacks. That really sucks.

"shanna, sisay's legacy", most of the removals you told are either less cost efficiency or hability based, so it will be preatty hard to take down shanna, also "slaughter the strong" gets vine mare, does not gets nicol bolas, but still a very good card.
Sorry to hear about the DOS dude. Good luck with it!
Before watching, my top five are:
- Selesnya Huatli
- Boros Huatli
- Banefire
- Shanna, Sisay’s Legacy
- Journey to Eternity
I also would like to have Azor, Angrath, and Kumina as honorable mentions because they won’t get better immediately after rotation, but I think will become really good once the second Ravnica set comes out.
My 6-10 are:
- Path of Mettle
- Sarkhan Fireblood
- Goblin Warchief
- Resplendent Angel
- Twilight Prophet
Neat list, thx!
Although until we don’t know the full card list of the next expansion, it’s hard to predict imo.
He’s the only youtuber I’ve watched more then once. I like this dude, good insight. :)
SBMTG, before rotation check out
Sunbird Nexus with Wildfire Eternal
I do it jeskai color with Approach
Hanmacx you have to play the second approach from hand
War 1412 if you cast approach with sunbird out and you hit an approach, you win the game
Bro, Savage if you cast Nexus and hit another it is fun too
War 1412 the way the stack works, Sunbird's Invocation triggers, then if you hit Approach it casts first, and resolves, then the one you cast from your hand resolves and you win. Assuming the second one doesn't get countered
The second Patient Rebuilding is good enough to be slotted into a top deck as a win con, graveyard strategies will catch on and go "thanks!" .
I hope the new sets will bring in wizards for red / blue so wizards lightning will stay viable after losing soul scar mage.
Ricardo8388 Izzet Guild (RU) will almost certainly have wizards. The past 2 times we've been to ravnica each Guild had a cycle of Guildmages that were wizards iirc
You should check out past ravnica cards for the general Guild themes - wizards is definitely part of the izzit theme
Justin White Thanks. I haven't played for 10plus years and I just recently started again. The prowess mechanic is fun aswell.. So many great combos.
Maybe run Siren Stormtamer instead of SSM? Obviously not as good from a pure aggro stance considering lack of prowess, but we will still have a total of 3 1-drop wizards.
I hope mono red flame of kelt wizards will stay a thing. So i am aiming for red.. else the red blue combo is great aswell.
There are already cards like Viashino Pyromancer to help with this. Ghitu cards as well.
I think gruul Sarkhans unsealing decks will be great after rotation
B/W control or Abzan control, has great potential post rotation. Lich's Mastery at the very least, poses a side board slot?
Edit:
Dev. In regards to the dos your facing. Do have options with your isp? See if they can change your ip address? That should negate the dos for now.
I loved playing Goblins back in High School circa 2000-2003
Smelt will become very useful against artifacts. For mono decks, Diamond Mare adds a lot of value. I see Detection Tower being a staple as it shuts down Vine Mare's hexproof,
HM: Ixalan's Binding, Lightning Strike, Guttersnipe?
15: Captain Lannery Storm
14: Grand Warlord Radha
13: Muldrotha, the Gravetide
12: Llanowar Elves
11: Weatherlight (no Abrade)
10: Hostage Taker
9: Treasure Map/Thaumatic Compass (artifact decks)
8: Vanquisher's Banner/Radiant Destiny
7: Regisaur Alpha (other 5 drops leaving)
6: Lyra Danbringer (no Unlicensed Disintegration)
5: Ravenous Chupacabra (as an answer)
4: Sarkan, Fireblood (Bolas enabler)
3: Cleansing Nova (white sweeper+anti-enchantment)
2: Patient Rebuilding (control)
1: Siege-Gang Commander (face of monored) Despite him talking Demanding Dragon up.
Suppressing cards leaving is much stronger reasoning than a first chair card leaving. If a card was 2nd rank, it doesn't always move forward, instead it just
totally agree on the resurgence of tribal deck.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Cast Down. It's a good replacement for Fatal Push especially when Heart of Kiran, Hazoret and The Scarab God rotates.
I like the list, but I have some feedback for you, Dev:
A lot of cards leaving at rotation have equivalents that will stay in.
Murder is strictly worse except in monoblack. CN isn't as good against aggro.

I wonder if detection tower will come around in sideboards to answer vine mare and carnage tyrant
Patient Rebuilding ! This is a draw source and a slow win con all in one! Excellent selection.
I think I have all the prices for a Goblin deck, Finally. I need to hear your version Dev. Put out the Goblin deck post rotation.
Banefire! UR! Can control Aggro cause UR and Can finish with control because u cant counter it. Commit and Failure rotates. Mirari conjecture + Primal wellspring combo.
Jund Dragons is a big possibility, with golgari, green red ramp and bone dragon it could work out.
I think that since we've already been to ravnica so much we can guess some reprints. Paolo David how does bane fire get better after rotation compared to now? It's already a deece finisher vs control.

Also, Dimir loves mill so patient rebuilding and psychic corossion could get lots of other mill support
Great video as always! I think I want to build mono green, it looks cool.
Blue black control has a lot of pieces
Considering the lilianna contract and arcane adaptation combo
Smelt and naturalize are still going to be in standard post rotation so the abrade hate is mostly null in regards to artifacts but this list is still bad ass
True but they are sideboard cards, Abrade is main deck card. So in a match, the artifact deck will probably win game 1 so you are down a game and then you have to deal with what they sideboard.
Garna, the Bloodflame sounds like the top of your goblin aristocrats deck!
I have a goblin tribe ready to go for post rotation, with siege-gang, vanquisher's banner, and flame of the keld
Dev, when rotation comes will you make us a badass red blue deck, and a deck centered around flame of keld?
Hey! Why don't you make a list of cards to save for Modern from Amonkhet and Kaladesh blocks?
without abrade, I think Immortal sun might get better as well with Bolas and plenty of other planes walkers. I don't think it would be more than a one of in any deck but it does have the potential to shut down a lot of powerful cards. In anything that can get mana quickly it is just a good value card if you aren't running planes walkers yourself.
Hey Dev, ever think about doing some modern deck techs in addition to standard?
It can't be called The Weatherlite because that's already a card from the set Weatherlite.
You rock, Dev! Hope you get your internet back ASAP!
I thought I was gonna see some new cards, not already known ones. >.<
But I still appreciate the content. Keep it up mah man!. :3
Can you do a list of cards you are tired of seeing and are happy are FINALLY rotating?
I suspect naya midrange w/ regisaur and palladia-Mors along with selesnya cards from ravnica
Didn't they errata teferi to tuck other permanents?
Speaking of Aristocrats I would love to see that deck, mainly because I want to play demon of catastrophe. I am not very experienced in brewing, so I would love to see your recommendation.
When rakdos comes out aristocrat builds are going to be everywhere, just watch.
Alex Lacount Thing is when rakdos is out the pieces for Aristocrats will go up. I would want to know what to buy before then.
Plus if you're in selesnya you might have ramp to dump a Lyra next turn and put it out of range of lightning strike.
If there are just a couple good aggro cards for red or green in a standard with shocks and check lands, we will be in for another fast ass standard meta like Innistrad + RTR standard.
hi im new here, may i know what cards that are included to the rotation and when it will be in effect?
You should do Arcades defenders in standard!
When will rotate (exactly) standard?
is there a Chaos deck possible before rotation, with Chaos Wand and Gonti?
One thing you can do the same turn Muldrotha hits the battlefield is play another land.
Hope this means we will get a goblin non-budget deck tech next
Is a boros pyroclasm a better sweeper? Like if you had WR deal 2 damage to all creatures, if a creature would be destroyed this way exile it instead? Magmahelix...
Thanks for the tip. I was thinking about trading my Patient Rebuildings.
I think you've been traumatized by abrade.
I think you missed Walk the Plank. I know we are spoiled by Fatal Push but, WtP even at sorcery speed is the real deal. Until Merfolk is a contender, Walk replaces the best kill spell in a long time.
What are your thoughts on novice knight?
Great list Dev! Could I please know your SN on Arena? As always, spreading love and being kind!
Hey man just wanna say your content it's awsome, keep it up
I'm looking forward to tribal in standard. And my favorite guild... GOLGARI!!!
Tezzeret Artifice Master dont sleep.
Great stuff man! Thanks for sharing!
Flame of keld and guttersnipe deck or am I crazy?
gavin scott I run that deck and i have to say, it is very powerful, RB Guttersnipe Wizard burn I got 3-0 last Friday, the last match I face was mono red aggro it lost because of my healing factor of my deck
Ebbskiller how much did u spend on it? Pretty budget or not really?
gavin scott not a lot since I had most of it before m19 but m19 gave it the push it needed, here is the deck list.
Creatures:
3x Ghitu Lavarunner
3x Soul-Scar Mage ( this is the only card in the deck rotating, hopefully in rrtr he gets a replacement)
4x Viashino Pyromancer
4x Guttersnipe
Instants:
4x Shock
4x Lightning Strike
4x Wizard's Lightning
Sorcery:
4x Sovereign's Bite ( the healing part of the deck, combines well with double cast )
2x Doublecast
2x Sword-Point Diplomacy ( you can go 4 copies if you want, and its a very under used draw spell but it gives your opponent a choice of what you keep but they have to pay 3 life which is still good for us, and because this is a burn deck they have no choice but give us the cards if there health is low )
1x Banefire
Enchantment:
1x Vance's Blasting Cannons ( good late game card in my opinion for drawing cards)
4x The Flame of Keld ( change it to 2 copies if you want )
Land:
4x Dragonskull Summit
11x Mountain
5x Swamp
Ebbskiller I might try that for my first fnm, thanks for the list!
gavin scott may luck be your side but be careful in my experience with the deck UW control eats this deck because of counter spells and life gain, mono green stompy you have to be quicker than it because of its beefy creatures can eat 2 kill spells and hit hard and mono white, depending on the deck build, knights, angels ( because one of the angels gives creatures and your opponent but itself hexproof so you can't target them, the angel is beefy as a 3/4 so it will take 2 kill spells depending if flame of keld is its last chapter ) and then life gain and Vampires
Hey Dev, love the content, keep it up
artifact that gives you goblin tokens for each goblin that died, that is gonna be a thing :P
"No Push or Abrade..." I can imagine some dangerous Charm like cards getting printed
I hooooooope they either reprint or have a similar blossoming defense
Abrade will rotate...yay...oh wait...Wizards could reprint Lightning Helix....damn it...
iem358 they didn't reprint lightning helix in rtr so I don't see them found it for guilds. Maybe a variant that costs 1 mana more.
Please please please be right...
Mettle/helix will be best deck.
2nd comment - please be correct on this call. Heroic reinforcements, path of mettle, lightning helix - *boros fistbump* reporting for duty
Justin White you mean warleader’s helix?
Jaya Ballard.
Vandy 004 YES
@Robbie&Jamie Rowlett T5 Jaya +1 for Mana for Sweltering Suns, T6 +1 for Mana for Approach.
Sad that Kaladesh block didn't rotate with M19 release just to give us 3 months with Amonkhet minus Kaladesh in standard.
Lawnmowers get better too with magma spray and fatal push rotating. Shock is still around, but much less turn 1 answers.
Lol, now I have that image stuck in my head. Thanks.
