Just got mine for $1750 out the door from a dealer. Should be here in a week or so. Can't wait to set it up. I appreciate your channel. Have been watching for almost 3 years now.
Thank You Youthman for all You do...................
Great video as always Michael! I think this is gonna be my next receiver :D it's amazing!
Thank you Marco
This is a brilliant channel. As a long time subscriber of Audioholics, I can say this is a good balance of technical information and general opinion about AV products.
Thank you for the kind words and for subscribing. Hope you enjoy the content.
I'm ordering this. I love Marantz
Clearly a great deal of effort went into making this fine presentation. ✔️
Thank you kindly.
That’s the largest receiver box I’ve ever seen. I picked up The Marantz SR7005 a few years ago and very happy with it. Great review.
Thank you
I saw some large McIntosh amplifiers in boxes recently. At first glance, you'd think that there must be subwoofers in there!
Yeah they have to protect those pretty blue meters
my 5003 just died after about 15 years of faithful service. I can afford this model but I will wait after Christmas thanks for the video.
Hey Youthman, thanks for the great video! The 8015 seems to be a great choice and since I don‘t need external amplification for my room size but want a 7.2.4 setup with the option for two additional speakers it‘s perfect. The presets are a game changer for me. I have an Atmos setup with the top speakers set up as top front and top rear for gaming and movies with great Atmos/DTS material. However, I strongly prefer the Auro-Matic upmixer for other content which can only be enabled when the speakers are configured as front height and rear height (because it is supposed to have the heights at just a 30 degree angle, but it still sounds better than the other upmixers even if the speakers are placed in the 45 degree angle for Atmos). Now I can finally get access to to the Auro-Matic by just changing the preset and that‘s fantastic. Sound United are doing a fantastic job in improving their products in a way that is really useful for the consumer.
I really appreciate this video. Going through the setup was actually very helpful. My setup will be for atmos, but look forward to trying out all the formats I can for my home theater 11 speaker setup. I just installed my 4 speakers for heights and awaiting this amp to come in which is on backorder. I hope that any upgrades to the chipset will be done with the latest batch vs. the external hub for hdmi control. I haven't upgraded my amp in 11 years. A lifetime in this arena. Great job! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed the video and congrats on the upgrade
Fantastic review! Thank you for being soo thorough and love how you shared the screen during the set-up to explain the menu! I was hoping you would explain one issue I'm having with my Marantz NR1606, where I'm getting video but no sound through HDMI, so I have to use the optical out of the TV to the optical in on my receiver. I think there is something in the menu I have to switch so the Marantz knows to pass audio to the speakers. I'm stuck! HELP! Great video and I'm now a subscriber! God bless you too!
Thank you kindly. Typically HDMI will pass the audio automatically. It could be something in your source like your Blu-ray player. You might want to call Marantz Tech Support to see if they can help you troubleshoot it
I really appreciate the recommendation you give me to my question
Glad to help
Hey Youthman
Thanks for the video, really enjoyed it.
Quick question, can you disable HDR on HDMI individually or is it a all on or or off scenario?
Many thanks in advance
Wow I really like this. Very user friendly. I have a really nice set of Apogee Divas that are in the same listening area of my theater sound is. I’ve been running two separate systems to power them. This head unit will allow me to confidently use one system. Excellent video presentation!
Thank you kindly, many more videos to come
i think its wonderful i love tour vidéos keep doing this
Thank you kindly Moustafa
Awesome review 👌😎
Thanks NightWave
@youthman well done man of GOD! Keep up the great work.
Thanks Leland.
This is a fantastic, helpful video. Thank you very much.
Glad you found it helpful
@@Youthman Yes thank you.
Hey man, I just wanted you to know Santa came this year with nice stuff.
I booked brand new black 8015 with new Klipsch Reference Premiere 7.2.4 with Dali sub k14 (15 by Klipsch can't fit in my sub space unfortunately).
I'm going to enjoy a LOT.
Keep videoing!
Congratulations on a sweet setup!
Stepping up the b-roll game in the intro 💪. That's what I'm talking about!
Learning from the best.
@@Youthman We're all learning from one another. Remember that slide move I took from you? 😂
Haha I do. Glad I could contribute in a small way
@@joentell - .. that electric slide?.. lol =)
@@Youthman they should release more Surround sound Receivers
Shoutout from the Philippines Youthman
Thanks!
Looks like a really nice receiver, BUT after owning a Dirac Live receiver I can't live without it...
I’m hoping to get Dirac set up today on the HTP-1. Those people that on Dirac say it’s one of the best room correction on the market.
I have the 8012. I'll wait for 8k to really take off before I change my avr. I love the 8012😊
Yes, Unless you need the new features in the 8015, the 8012 should serve you very well for a long time
Mercy that’s some serious power!
I really enjoy your reviews. I am in a quandry, trying to decide if 8K is something I want to splurge for. Thank you.
I’m not in any hurry for 8K. I think for most, it’s unnecessary.
@@Youthman ok amigo, thank you very much for your advice.
awesome receiver..
thanks a lot. too good
Hey youthman really appreciated your video here on the 8015. I am purchasing the receiver and can’t wait to hear it. I have been using receivers for Dolby sound for a long time. This will be my first receiver into the next echelon of sound possibilities. I have a lot to learn still. Do you have a more comprehensive tutorial on the 8015?
Thanks. The only other video I have on the SR8015 is the unboxing / overview
Nice info
8k is not there yet. I'm considering buying the 7705. Great video like always. 👍
Just viewed your video here & gotta give you a HUGE THANK YOU!! You mentioned seeing the Marantz drop up to 6db in pre amp mode... Well I own the 8012 & it doesn’t have that feature of shutting down unused amps, but when I added my Gen 3 5 channel Emotiva to setup it def showed a noticeable drop in bass from my SVS PB 4000
I thought my PB 4000 was just a bit anemic for almost a year now since adding Emotiva amp?
I went in the Marantz added the 6db in both Sub settings & oh my goodness!!! Amazing literally best FREE mod yet!!
Again thank you!!
Boom! Glad the video helped.
@@Youthman Thank you again great content & vidz keep it going bro! PS I’m in the market to upgrade yet again (damn this hobby lol) was curious ANY thoughts on the 8k upscaling features on the 8015? Or 7706?
Waiting till prices calm down on the latest 8k TVs & projectors etc thought what? If? Any real benefits had on Marantz upscaling 4k content to 8k etc? Again Thnku
I personally do not see the benefit of 8K. Definitely not an early adopter of that technology. I’m just not convinced it’s needed.
That SR8015 is going to looks and sounds amazing in my Home Theater. 🔊🔊🎶
I will be installing the SR8015 later this week
Youthman Michael , i can try for you . I let you know how it sounds lol. I can wait to see the review .
I meant I will be installing it later this week lol
Youthman lol , for one second i think you was going to install it in my house 😁🔊🔊.
LOL
Really enjoy your Channel! Your videos are very informative. Would you mind sharing the brief differences between the Marantz sr8012 and 8015? Thanks so much
Thank you kindly. I reviewed the SR8012 two years ago. It would be impossible to compare if they sound different. I should have the review in a few weeks
@@Youthman Thanks so much... I'll look for the review. If you think of it to mention any differences during the review that would be great. Thx again!
My Pioneer Elite Receiver has that speaker preset and I can tell you it's a cool feature for music listening.
Awesome!
yamaha too
Oh boy, I'm thinking real hard about this monster, already talked to Cory and my trigger finger is itchy!
Nice. I won't be upgrading for another 2 years or so. Will likely be a major overhaul 😎
That’s typically what I do. There really is no need to upgrade every year to the latest greatest
To put in perspective my old Pioneer Elite Receiver was 65 pounds out of the box. Insane receiver.
Which one did you have? I had a mid level VSX-21TXH 2009 and it was 29lbs. 65 is nuts
Antham will release new amps soon worth to wait and see what they bring out
I own the OSD A5500, it's a fantastic amp!
Awesome
Used the cable tags just a month ago when I changed pre-pros
I love them!
Just in time for my 800" screen
Solid AVR! on the other side I wouldn't mind seeing Marantz up there Separate game even more, say Dirac support and a redesign
You need to make a video explaining the set up to the marantz I have the sr-6014 width is the same as the new one need pre amp explanation and the proper settings
Exelent review
Thank you
Youthman what are the differences between this and the last generation, please cover that in your review if possible im sure ots of people will be interested.
Youthman..I have the AV8805 and I can't wait for that DTS-X Pro Update. I already purchased the 2 extra speakers for the Top Center Height and the Top Surround.
Awesome!
Daddio77,
Will the DTS-X Pro update be part of the 8K upgrade for the 8805?
@@michaelslocumbsr.2286 As far as I know it's part of the firmware update due later this year. The HDMI 8K board is a hardware upgrade that you will have to send your unit out and have it swapped for a fee that they haven't announced yet.
That’s my understanding as well
@@avtechman77 Understood... Thanks!
Why is it only a 2 prong? Isn't a 3 prong better? I have the 8012, same thing. Always great vids, thank you! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Honestly I’m not sure why some are two and others are three. I believe a three prong has a ground. All I care about is how it sounds and performs.
I love the receiver and the bass is much better than Denon 6500, the video board inside the SR8015 is awesome.
I've never cared for how the bottom looked on an AVR but that copper bottom was really nice looking. Gotta check that next time I buy a new AVR.
Although it won't be a deal breaker... :)
Marantz is the only one that I know that does that
Would this benefit from running a separate amp like an emotive or another marantz? Costly I know but is it worth the extra cost!
Would you still suggest going with separates or get this monster?
I'd like to see a Preset button added to the remote, helpful when doing evaluation.
I thought it already had preset buttons. I don't ever use them, but i'm pretty sure my SR7012 has the buttons on the remote for 4 customizable presets.
Is it too early to upgrade to 8K from 4k since we do not have lot of 8k content and TVs in wide range of users choice ? Would you please provide me your honest opinion since I'm a regular viewer of your channel? I'm confused to buy SR6014 or SR7015 at this time..
Hey YM, really would like to see you make a head to head comparison with the SR8015 (in full pre-amp processor mode/amps switch off) and your Marantz AV7705. Definitely would be interesting to see how much, if any, difference you notice.
No scopes here
Seeing the details and hearing them sometimes are entirely two different things.
It has imax enhanced, input for future 8k outputs
I actually am really interested in both personal impressions and full bench testing. Both are needed to get a true representation of what a product is bringing to you as a consumer. Bench testing is definitely a must to see if the manufacturer is being truthful regarding listed specs (wattage per channel, distortion level, etc). That’s why I subscribe to both Youthman and Audioholics.
Yes we all have our unique style and you can benefit from watching various creators discuss the same products because you get different perspectives.
This is great in detail and useful info. I have one question, is it mandate to have additional amplification for any AVR? or just AVR should do the work for home theater?
There are different factors that determine whether or not your system would greatly benefit from adding external amplification.
1) Size of your AVR’s power supply
2) How many speakers you will be driving
3) Size of your room
4) Distance from your speakers
5) Your listening levels
6) Sensitivity of your speakers
I have had 7.1.4 Klipsch system powered by a Denon 6400H, Marantz SR8012 and SR8015 and it did an exceptional job. I didn’t notice any difference adding an external amp.
@@Youthman cool. I am planning to get 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos (Klipsch), Marantz SR7015 and was looking for Sony projector but I don’t see that is available in India. But overall this is great information which helped me to decide which brand need to be considered for which items. Thanks a ton. You may get questions from me in future 😉
@Youthman how do you compare 8015 to denon new series avc110, anthem 1120. Comparing in terms of sound quality, sound seperation, detailing
Remember when Marantz would be proud of their buttons and their amps actually looked sexy with all of them showing? I remember.
What models? I’m not familiar with the older ones.
Remember having to use Deoxit when all those knobs and buttons started crackling? I remember.
Give me the new electronic stuff with the OSD setup. I don't even want to touch my fancy AVR if I don't have to.
@@Youthman Marantz 12550, 2220, 2440, 4220, 1122DC to name a few. Granted they're old stereo amps, but why can't receivers look like them? I'd throw all my money at that.
@@voiceofreason9238 A little lubing and tweaking here and there is fun. Was fun.
Definitely not my style. I have never cared myself for the vintage look
Curious to see how u like this new flagship model. Michael, please be the 1st guy to use and review this in preamp mode using ur monolith amp! I’m sure there are others who would like to know what u think too
Thanks
I’m trading in my Arcam AVR30 for the SR8015. The Arcam is still so buggy, even with the recent firmware update. This Marantz looks just what I want and need.
Setting up my 8015 today!
Whoohoo! What speakers are you running?
@@Youthman Polk's RtiA7 Front and Left, CsiA6 Center, OMW5 for side and rear sorrunds, 70RT front top front and rear Atmos, SVS Pc12 sub.
Sweet setup!
@@Youthman Thanks!
nice
If I got this and powered some Sony speakers and a 7.1 mirage mx speakers what wire should I get to get the most out of the sound?
I am thinking in replacing the Yamaha 3080 for the new 8015 I am still in the return period but I really don't know if is going to sound better more dynamic than the Yamaha 3080 help please
As always, thanks for a great video. I wonder why this unit asks about speaker configuration instead of just detecting through Audyssey. That's what my AV7702mkii does.
Because AVR’s and Processors do not now the position of your Atmos speakers (in-ceiling, height mounted or upfiring or a combination).
@@Youthman Thanks. I should have clarified. Unless I wasn't paying attention, this unit asked you about the floor standing and surround speakers as well. In any case, I really hope Marantz ditches Audyssey some day in favor of either DIRAC or a proprietary solution. Keep 'em coming, Youthman!
I would love to see Dirac someday.
The only receiver I may want. Everything else except maybe the biggest Yamaha. Denon even though a Marantz cousin doesn't do it for me.
Hey Youthman,
Thanks for the vid.
After your good reviews. I purchased the 8015.
If you could shed some light, the dealer and the Marantz rep are not sure if I can do the following:
I have a PJ theater running 7.2.4
And I have a pool table area with a tv and 2 in ceiling speakers all running to the 8015.
The 8015 can run 11 channels at the same time but is a 13 channel receiver.
If people were over for a football game, could I easily create a preset that allows me to send power to the pool table speakers and reduce my theatre speakers channels, say down to 3.1
and set the pool table as a zone 2 at the same time without unplugging stuff in the 8015.
Thanks for any tips
I have never used Zone 2 in my setup but Go into settings, amp assign and try changing to 11.1 + Zone 2. Then click on Terminal Configuration button at the bottom to see where to connect the speakers. Let me know if that works.
I understood most of what you said but did you say either you can set it to all channels on or all channels off. So you can't buy separate 5 channel amp for the five main and let marantz power the rest? Well sounded like you can but the amps stay on regardless if you use them and your line to other amplifiers are unbalanced.
Question Youthman, why do you change your speaker type to small when you have those huge Klipsch La Scala speakers up front?
Daniel is correct. Nothing wrong with trying it both ways to see which sound you prefer and your set up with your speakers. Also by setting a crossover, it allows your receiver not to have to work as hard. It’s not an issue with me because I’m using a separate amplifier the guys that are powering multiple speakers with a single AVR, it’s very taxing on the receiver if you’re crossovers are not enabled
I have older Polk Audio Lsi 15is and matching center and rears. They are 4ohm and need a new AVR to power. I’m still using a old B&K AVR507 That’s still insane but doesn’t support newer sound processing. What’s a good AVR that will power my 4ohm?
So the 8015 is basically the same as the Denon X6700H but the Denon is cheaper. Is the Denon just as good or should i save up to get the Marantz?
Youth man I have the sr7015 running 2 XPA amps both connected to the AVR triggers 1 and 2 notice that the triggers started not responding, unplugged it and now the amps come on when the AVR turns off
So I was wondering I am planning on getting an Amp and Prepro. Would it be better to get the AV7705 or get the SR8015 and run it in Preamp mode. Since the SR8015 has all the new features and is more future proof with it having 8K.
I didn’t notice a huge difference in sound adding an amp to the SR8012 that I reviewed but did notice an improvement when O went to the 7705. I think if you were wanting to truly go to separates, a pre-pro would be the better option.
With that said, the SR 8012 was a fantastic sounding receiver in and of itself. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. Later I will be testing it in preamp mode to see if I can hear a difference
Ok if my TV or Blu-ray does not support 4K will the SR8015 work normally. Looking for a upgrade from my Onkyo TX-SR707.
Hey Mike. Why did you set all your speakers in preset 1 to small?
Associated Bw 705 ? Good association ? What your opinion ? Please
Is there an easy way to change the amount of bass on this thing I think every receiver should have a base knob
Like my Yamaha 1083 it has sound fields like jazz club, concert hall for listening to music, does the Marantz 8015 have these same type of sound fields
Sir I have Q accoustic 3000i series 5.1 speaker package . Which marantz 2020 model will be the wright match for those speakers.
Sr8012 : Atmos 1.3, sr8015: Atmos 1.6.
Has Atmos 1.6 many improvement on sound effect?
What’s that cost. Can’t keep up with this technology. Need some new speakers that will keep up with the big power sound audio Subwoofer
After watching the 2020 Denon reviews, one feature I especially liked was the ability to disengage three outputs from the internal app. I like the ability to provide my front soundstage with identical power, while reserving the full internal power for the surround speakers.
My first real receiver (circa 1979) was a Merantz. It was wonderful! I want my final unit to be another Marantz! I waited with great anticipation to see how the 2020 Marantz models would be a step above their cousin, Denon, products.
What a HUGE disappointment to learn Marantz opted for an all or nothing approach with external amps! Thanks for the ability to add two channels, but which two do I externally amplify? The front middle is the most important in a home theater setup. Do I flip a coin for the left or right front channel? (Obviously not)
Both Denon and Marantz recognize external apps need to be disconnected from the internal app for technical reasons way above my pay grade. Otherwise they would not do it.
So, Youthman (or Marantz, or Mr Jones), what are the ramifications to adding a three channel external amp for the front stage with this unit? Two of the three will be the “extra” channels, and likely go to the left and right front. But this leaves the center front channel attached to the external amp, but not disconnected from the internal amp, right!?! How will this mess with the internal workings of sound system? And ultimately the sound produced through this configuration?
Thanks for helping this old guy understand before I spend the money and discover I messed up!
Did you ever get an answer? I am wondering the same thing. 3 Channel amp using six on board amps for surround/atmos speakers
Use the 3ch amp to power your LCR, internal amps from the Marantz to power the rest and not use the “Preamp Mode”. I personally don’t think Preamp Mode makes a difference in the sound quality.
@@Youthman Thanks Youthman! Love your channel!
Thanks Ben.
Hi, I se the unboxing from the new Denon AVR-X6700H receiver And it's very very similar the accesories, like from the audissey microphone to the speakers labels sheet, so this brands, (Denon and Marantz) are the same company? And Which brand do you recommend more of these 2?
Phil from Sound United did a great job in this video explaining the differences - ua-cam.com/video/J6dK-pVSTpc/v-deo.html
Hi sir marantz 8015 or denon 6700h wich one better
Youthman: Do you get the same clean sound/channel separation with the SR8015 in Pre-Amplifier Mode with your Monolith as you do with your AV7705? If so I won't have to wait for the AV7706. I could instead get the less expensive SR7015 which is basically the same (but with amps as I understand it).
I have not connected the SR 8015 yet. I’m still reviewing the Monolith HTP-1 from Monoprice
@@Youthman Thanks for the super quick reply. If that's the case when you get it connected.. It is a game changer. You really got me looking into expensive separates with your AV7705 + XPA-11 videos. You not hearing any difference with the SR8012 and different external amplifiers threw me off wanting to buy a new 8K receiver.
Porthole it’s fine , but maybe it should be a little bigger, or get a wider display? I own two Marantz receivers I do enjoy their sound. I thought since marantz gave their new integrated amp a new look they would give this receiver something similar. Thks for review very detailed.
I think that’s the point of having the front door cover. Behind it is the larger display for those that want it to be shown
The porthole itself is useless. The text is quite small and not readable from MLP. But for SR 8012/15 and SR 7013/15 you have a larger rectangular display which is awesome (owner of SR8012, dual PB2000, RP6000F, RP404C)!
I agree, however Marantz has no desire to remove the port hole since they feel it is iconic and gives a nod to their early roots
The idea that someone would spend $3000.00 on a unit like this and not know how to strip a wire makes my head spin.
That’s like saying someone that buys a sports car but has never driven one is absurd. You don’t know what you don’t know. Every one of us started in this hobby with zero knowledge and continue to learn more about it daily.
Could you please to prompt me, is this Marantz receiver for the US market - does it support only 110 volts?
Can you find it out it from the docs or on the back panel?
If this receiver supports only 110 volts, it means for Europeans it don't work properly with 220 volts?
Thanks in advance!
Is the marantz or denon better sounding for Klipsch rf7iiis? Which do you prefer? I just got into those speakers and am planning my future receiver upgrade
Marantz uses higher quality components and has better processing for music.
Youthman perfect. I appreciate the feedback.
@@Youthman I agree. Plus the “signature sound” of a Marantz seems to be made for Klipsch.
Nice receiver but when is Marantz releasing the pre/pros? Thanks!
They do have one they are releasing later this year but it will not replace the 7705 or the 8805.
Will it be something between them?
I believe it is lower than the 7705
@@Youthman - Thanks for the reply! Do you know why Marantz isn't releasing a higher-end pre/pro, something to replace the 7705 or 8805? Surely they will have higher-end pre/pros coming.
I'm looking for a Marantz pre/pro with HDMI 2.1 capability (hopefully multiple HDMI 2.1 inputs/outputs).
I'm also expecting pre/pros with HDMI 2.1 from Yamaha, Integra and Anthem, to name a few...
Yes they of course will have replacements for them, it just will not be happening this year
Its 5 o'clock morning still not sleeping..
Take your like 👍and good night, morning 😅.bye bye
Thanks!
Have you finished the review ?
I’m about to buy a 11.2 receiver, and I am hesitating between the Marantz 8015 and the Yamaha A8A. Wonder which is the best… Any educated advice is welcome !
I absolutely loved the SR8015. I rocked it for about a year before upgrading to the AV7705 processor and now the AV7706. Absolutely rock solid performance. I also much prefer Audyssey over Yamaha's YPAO room correction.
Would love to hear your thoughts on sound quality. Would you say it was better than your 8012? Also a comparison in sound quality to your existing Marantz. Lastly against the monolith. One more sorry, maybe you can try it out against everything setup as a prepro with amplification turned off. Lot to ask but really value your opinion. Thanks in advance
Definitely a lot to ask lol. Unfortunately there is no way to compare something I reviewed 1-2 years ago.
Reading a lot about how the Panasonic HDMI 2.1 chips have hardware faults and that 4k/120Hz doesn't work on the 2020 Marantz and Denon models. And they say a software update will NOT fix it. So, recall or hardware replacement. What's your opinion?
As with any brand new technology, there are bound to be issues. Sometimes it’s best to wait until the bugs have been worked out to upgrade
Youthman, any chance Marantz will offer the new features in a update for the 7705? Seem like most are software and could be added.
Not that I’m aware of. Preamp mode is hardware, 8K is hardware. The only thing that might could be added via firmware would be presets.
@@Youthman Well that alone would be very handy. Plus the set up procedure with speaker selection that you showed is different from my 7705. That would be nice also.
I have the 7705. It has the same setup.
@@Youthman I can find no info on a 7795 is it new? Marantz shows 7705 and 8805
@@mwcoater Sorry, that was a typo on my phone. I have the 7705 as well. Setup procedure was the same with the 7705. Denon's use the same as well.
That same model I said SR8015
I got the 7015..I should've gone the extra 1k but next time.
How does this stack up power-wise with SR8012? Does it have a toroidal power supply like the 8012?
Almost identical. 😉👍
Yes should be pretty much the same but more features
The pre amp section in this will it be on par with the 8805?, Gene talked about preamp disconnection mode. Being that it has been upgraded a bit just wondering. I own the Denon AVR 8500 and wanting to go to a dedicated preamp
No I do not believe the 8015 will be on par with the 8805. I would hope for $4000 the 8805 would have much much higher components.
Youthman good to know thank you sir
@@Youthman
Thats interesting you say that, i read a review somwwhere that the denon receiver 8500 essentially had the same internals as the 8805 so i couldnt see the company not doing the same for their own sr8015, the other beef i have with d&m is this preamp mode, seems to me like its a way of making the consumer spend more money.
I was thinking the same until the news of the new Anthem line dropped.
I would like to review the new AVM70.
When you watch interstellar on your projector do you watch it on wide screen and crop out the bottom or do you watch it in 16:9 and have a really small screen on the non IMAX scenes. It’s been something ive been thinking about for a while
I haven’t seen interstellar. IMAX movies like The Dark Knight I watch in 2.35:1 because most of the film is shot in that aspect ratio. The IMAX scenes simply spill above and below the screen which is much more acceptable to me than watching the entire movie in 16:9 with bars on top and bottom during the entire movie except for the few IMAX scenes.
Youthman woahhh that’s crazy interstellar would sound amazing in your Theater. But I see where you are getting at. I’m sure you would like interstellar I think I’m not %100 sure I don’t really know you but it’s loud and it’s it has a lot of low bass and it’s just a beautiful looking movie.
Hey Youthmam just wondering why you set the speakers to small for the movie mode? I have a sr6012 and have krix full floor towers and same centre. They are the krix neuphonixs and epicentix. Thanks heaps
@@tb2324 thanks heaps for that. What hz should the cross over be 80hz or 120hz or 250hz
T B is spot on with his advice. 👍
@@tb2324 cheers mate and thats the issue was having was too boomy and only in a certain area of room rest was dull. Thanks for all your help
@@Youthman thanks for that youthman. Love your content helped me a lot
