Relm is probably one of the most powerful playable characters Final Fantasy has ever created. In essence, Relm is a reality manipulator who uses art as a means to express her abilities. In truth, she is able to materialize and control anything she wishes. Relm is beyond Omega Level.
Are there reality manipulator character other than FF6? Reality warping is a multiversal scale of power and it is objectively powerful than time, void and space combined.
I searched for this song for the last 25 years. Thanks to Google's AI that lets you hum a song to search for it, I finally found it. And it's from a game I've played for hundreds of hours as a kid.
This song imo is a demonstration of absolute mastery over melody. It uses an almost grating tone to swing into one of the most beautiful and touching melody's in the game.
In the japanese version, "even the human heart" is added the word 'light' ahead. This phrase is more heartshaking than english version, I little pity about it.

I would agree, but only if they really do it justice, we will see how the FF7 remake comes out. FF6 would need to be done right, it's fundamentally a tragic story and a remake would really need to fearlessly lean into that.
Simple yet so beautiful. I truly marvel at the level of depth in everything that Final Fantasy VI offers. Every moment of the story, every character, every piece of music, every grand set piece, every stunning sprite work for the bosses, its just amazing. If you have not played this game, you are doing yourself a disservice. As you could legitimately make the argument that this is the greatest game of all time

I didn't grow up playing JRPG's and about 5 years ago I decided to start. So I went through the basic Final Fantasys: VII through X. And starting VI blindly I started to get a strong feel of the general idea of VII with the look of Chrono Trigger. But just slowly and slowly as I go more through this game I start to love it more and finally by the time I made it to Thamasa between the story behind the town, Interceptor saving everyone in the fire and this beautiful score playing for the inttroduction of Relm and Strago, I had enough. I fully understood the love for this game and just love it almost as much as I love IX. And IX was a life changing game for me.

Eu fico admirado com a criatividade do Nobuo. Ele usa escalas cromáticas pra criar melodias muito peculiares e inesquecíveis. Esta tem um toque muito particular de pureza e doçura. Eu encontrei a tablatura para piano e estou transpondo esse som para a minha ocarina. Muito gostoso e desafiador de tocar.
I love Relm as a character but is it me or does this song sort of clash with her character? I mean this music makes it sound like shes supposed to be this incredibly visionary talented artist with a kind and gentle soul. However shes more of a rascal even when she tries to be nice. Don't get me wrong I love this song and I love Relm but I feel like this should be more upbeat for her character.

As seen on her introduction in the japanese edition, Her painting talent can even draw heart of human and it is nearly correspond to this background music, leaving nothing but wonder of how she can draw it with her paint!?

God, Nobuo-san's work on this game was sublime. At the height of his powers. Superb remaster.

Here's hoping this theme gets re-used in the new FFXIV expansion. One of the new jobs is Relm, basically.

It strikes me as interesting how calm and serene this song is, concerning it's the theme to one of the most hyper characters in the game.
The figure starting at 00:43 is what conjures great feelings for me, naturally.
