If the nipple extractor keeps slipping and can't get a good grip do what i did, heat the extractor in the stove or with a torch and push it in. It will grab and engrave itself into the broken piece just wait till it cools off before turning it so the broken piece can harden up again and it will work.

Excellent video. I could see everything you did really well. I’ve had three risers break within a week. No idea what’s happening and why they’re breaking. I need to get that tool. Thanks for sharing.

The city sent me a notice that I have a continues water usage of 2 gallons per hrs round the clock. So my neighbor told me to turn off the main irrigation valve and sure enough, no more leaks. We tried checking around the house for puddle of water, standing water or even greener grasses...but we don't see any. He thinks it maybe underground....so he said start digging. Please help!

First thing that, I check is leaking sprinkler valve. Second thing leaking manifold. That’s one of the leaks hard to notice

Thanks for showing how to extract the broken riser. The problem is that it will happen again. The correct way to attach the sprinkler to the pipe is using 4 marlex elbows . In whatever direction someone kicks the sprinkler, the elbows will allow it to move but won't break, unless you drive your truck on it.

Mine is deep in a hole. I would have to do quite a bit of excavation to get down and see that. I guess I'll do that tomorrow. But I think they may have glued mine too or something, because the tool is not working either.

Thanks for your replies. I was able to carefully and slowly get it out. I had to cut it out like you did, but was able to get it out and capped.
