Today on The Sprinkler Channel we show you the steps to using a slip-fix sprinkler part to make fixing or repairing your broken sprinkler PVC pipe super easy and done right!     Im assuming their is something that prevents the water from coming out of the sliding pipe part. even if you use a straight coupler you have to slide the pipe into the other side that leaves 1/4 of the pipe not entirely fitting all the way in. 0 ---0 and you would have to move it 0-- 0 so it will only fit in the pipe fitting half way on each side. This is a great easy idea it just slides in and your done ! hoping the water doesnt come out of the slide.....it would be nice if you could connect it and then put some sealant around the slide connector. thanks

      It has a seal so whether it is fully extended or not it will be fine but of course you can add glue on top of the seal for the sleeve part that extends.

    Why a slip-fix instead of just the coupler?

      Coupler is also involved. When both ends are buried in pipe, it will make more since. No flex in pipe unless you wanted to dig up a lot of pipe. With slip fix - not necessary. If trenches are open (new installation) would just use a couple because pipe can still move freely. Hope this helps!
