Thinking about doing this on my truck. Ironically you make a video on it lol. You have answered my questions in DMs. Thanks man and love ur vids
I try my best to hit everyone back
great video on the walkthrough, definitely appreciate the tip on not having to run new lines with the regulator, we all know when shit breaks it breaks at the same time. With a saltwater coral reef tank that times not always available. Now I know I can skip that and get my project goin, Thanks!
Thank you!! I apologize for such a late response!
Very good video bro. Regulated fuel return should be on all our to-do lists. Now it's on mine. Thank you for that. Liked, commented and subscribed. Kinda busy with work, etc., so don't know if I'll qualify for being active because I might not have time to come back for awhile. Doesn't matter. Great video, keep 'em rollin'.
Great informative video content! Your explanation of the regulated return was easy enough for this newbie to understand! Thanks again!
I appreciate that! My drawing is less than artistic but it works lol
This actually helped a lot very clear and helped me understand what to do. Also got my truck fixed lol my hpop seals were gone she runs minty now
Glad I could be some assistance! That’s what I was hoping for in this video!
Very thorough and showed exactly how everything works, hands down best video out there
I really appreciate that. Probably one of the kindest comments I’ve received.
I have this kit and I recently changed my air dog fuel filters and started it without priming like a dummy do I need to disconnect that line to get the air out?
Been here since the beginning. Keep the 6.0 alive
Thanks for watching!!
Great! Cannot wait for more Race content especially the 4 link, thinking about doing my street truck 05 F-250 XL
Just hit me up man you know how to get ahold of me!
Im buyin a regulated return soon cant wait to get some more fuel into the truck in the future
Just ordered everything thanks for the vid 🤙🏽
I appreciate the simplicity of your explanation and letting us know about bleeding the system
Absolutely! Glad I could be of assistance!
@@tylersdieselstop6787 when you cut the bowl off the oil filter any thing I need to be aware of besides don’t get into the oil filter housing?
@@rileylewis2012 Just take your time. They are a pain in the ass however if you cut in the middle between oil filter and fuel filter housing once you get the fuel section off, you can use a dremel etc to cut the rest off and really fine tune it.
I like how you said we arent workin on cats we aint workin on cummins we definitely aint worken on isuzus we are workin on 6.0!!!!!!!
6.0 or gtfo lol just kidding I work on them all, I just own Ford’s that’s it
Man been wondering about this and how to go about it thanks for explaining it so well
Definitely the best kit on the market, just ordered mine from Discrete for my daily. The allen plug is the block off for the factory return line on the factory regulator.
Also, banks can kick rocks.
Oh no what did Banks do?
I am running 175/0 injectors in my 6.0. All I have is the bluespring kit on the fueling.
Hope you get to 10k
My lb7 Duramax has the same diff cover bro, i even used their trans pan
I enjoy watching these videos. My wife hates it tho since every time I watch I’m like I wanna do that to my truck lol
Keep the good ole 6.0
Yes sir!
Thanks for video, very helpful, since it's been a couple years, how's the XDP RR holding up? this seems to be one the few systems that doesn't use hard lines to the heads, curious to see if the lines hold up to the heat over time?
Love the vids
Nice sound
Love the channel bro! This video was sweet and informative. I do have one question. Is there any added benefit of the fuel bowl delete over just the regular return kit ? If you explained that , i must have missed it
No real benefit other than esthetics. The fuel bowl delete cleans up the engine bay. Otherwise they work all the same. Thank you for the watch!!!
@@tylersdieselstop6787 Yes sir man , I appreciate the time you take to make the videos and help all us 6.0 folks out here. I love my 6.0 , but it can definitely be a pain some times. But damn do I love it when she's running right 💪
Hell yeah
thanks for the info can you run the regulated return with the stock fuel pump
Hey great info... can you run this system on a truck with the EGR cooler still on? The xdp info says for trucks without egr cooler...
Out of curiousity could you put a t at the xdp return line fitting with a drain valve thats got something to keep it from getting knocked open
Did you happen to have another video or info on the 6.4 oil filter housing change.
So lets say i have a airdog 150 with regulated return, does the return go straight to tank or will it need a y fitting going to tank and the lift pump?

Still need to order a shirt. But is there any plan on making some hats?
Hey I was wondering just rewatch this video I’ve got a rr and a fass 220 with factory fuel bowl and wanted to know if I need to take the fuel filter out or not. And also on priming the fass I’ve tryed to prime the filters like a normal fass but when I leave the filter loose and turn the key on to prime and spin the filter on there’s to much suction for me to tighten it. How do you prime it after a filter change
How much time does it usually take to install the regulated return kit with the fuel bowl delete?
Question. If you run out of fuel and need to bleed the line, why would you even need to disconnect the return line that is leaving the regulator at the push to connect adapter that connects to the factory return? The factory return has no restriction so the lift pump can just push the fuel and air back to the tank and it is not necessary to disconnect anything. There is literally no difference between return fuel bleeding out of the return fitting you disconnected vs return fuel just flowing back to the tank. To bleed the system of air, just let the lift pump run to purge the air. Please help me understand. Thank You
So I just did the exact same setup with 220gph fass xdp fuel bowl delete and regulated return and was curious to what fuel pressure your getting I can’t get my regulator to adjust over 53 psi
Did u get it figured out
I ran into this issue a long time ago on my old 6.0. If I remember correctly I had to change out a spring in my lift pump or bump up the pressure somehow so it was higher then use the return regulator to set the pressure at 65.
Can’t wait for heart breaker to get back on the road 🤤🔥
You and me both brother 🙌🏼
My brand new very expensive sinister diesal regulated return kit sprays tons of fuel out of the top of the Regulator . Pissssssd
Sorry to hear that man! Return it to them and come see me, I’ll get you taken care of the correct way.
Do you have HeartBreaker running again if so you need a update video on her I love that truck
Waiting on a new engine harness and it’ll be running again. It’s too cold and crappy weather to drive it here anyway.
@@tylersdieselstop6787 I here ya bro can’t wait for spring
ive got an 05 350 6.0, the radio is dim and intermittently works, time for a new radio? or is there a ground on the chassis for it?
Is this a factory radio that you currently have? They were notorious for the light bulbs within the unit them selves to burn out over time. If the radio still works, run it but if you do need it lit up at night (which most people do) then I would step up to a double din touch screen.
why cant you just take the fill cap off the tank? no different than pulling the line apart
And are you going to do a install video
When the engine goes in the race truck yes
Why do you need to crack the return line to bleed the air out when it just returns to the tank anyway ?
Because if you’re feeding the fuel tank air then where is it going to escape? The easiest and quickest way to get the air out is to crack the return line. If you don’t trust the process be my guest to do it without cracking the return line but the air has to go somewhere. If you feed the heads from the tank, push fuel through the heads and provide the tank back with the same air it’s trying to push then how is it going to escape the fuel system? Trust the process.
@@tylersdieselstop6787 just asking mate. Fuel thanks have a vent that’s where the air will go. But I don’t have first hand experience on 6.0 hence why I’m watching your video and asking a question. Am not trying to be a smart ass
@@wazheamadman6086 These trucks for whatever reason nearly refuse to vent anything from the tank. Air is supposed to rise of course and maybe my trucks are a special scenario because of how modified they are but without cracking open the return line and letting a solid stream of fuel go through the heads I have never gotten my trucks successfully primed. When people say 6.0 trucks are temperamental they aren’t joking lol. With all “common” logic applied you are not wrong and with that being said I could be wrong. I just know what I have done that worked every-time without extended periods of time coming after using the normal gravity or pressure methods.
@@tylersdieselstop6787 no dramas - great video mate and will be watching more
@@wazheamadman6086 I appreciate it! If only automotive was as simple as it should be 🤣🤣
I'm confused. How would the air not just push down stream back into the tank? That's the whole point behind an open loop regulated return. Fuel flowing through the heads constantly..
You aren’t completing any type of loop though with a dead head design like the factory fuel system.
@@tylersdieselstop6787 correct, but you are with a regulated return.
Is there any benefit to doing this on a mostly stock 6.0?
Yes, definitely if you tow. Blue spring upgrade at least if you don't have a regulated return.
Wait if 6.0s have deadhead fuel system (no return), why would there be factory return lines?
It's returns from the regulator on the fuel bowl before entering the heads.
could you get part numbers for these kits or do you sell these?
I have updated the description with a direct link to XDP website
@@tylersdieselstop6787 Thanks Tyler
honestly flat back covers are better
Instead of disconnecting the return line to prime the system couldn't you just pop off the pressure Guage?
No sir. Few reasons being the gauge is threaded into the housing. It can’t just pop off and it also it still physically higher than the return line itself. Rules of gravity apply here, you need to push air/fuel out of the system so you want to go to the “lowest” point or the “last” point before it goes back into the tank. That’s why I pop the return line from the regulator off at the factory fitting junction because from that fitting on, you’re just sending it back into the tank.
@@tylersdieselstop6787 I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick, im just trying to make sense of the reasoning in my head but when I bleed anything it's from the highest location because air is lighter and it will always travel to the top of a system.
@@tylersdieselstop6787 its at the highest point so air is at the top. The thing that makes the most sense to me would be to put a Schrader value where the Guage is and just bleed it there. Then just screw an glowshift into it so I can have a Guage in the cab
@@ryanwhitton2722 No worries man! Yes you are right however if you took the gauge out at the regulator, it wouldn’t hold it’s prime. The air needs to be “pushed” by liquid out through the return side, much the same way it drains in a factory bowl configuration.
I prime the factory system by pressurizing the tank and unscrewing the fuel filter. As soon as I get fuel to the pump I have fuel pressure, then I open the fuel bowl ( at the highest location) to get air out and let her rip taterchip. If you get fuel to the highest point you should be able to push any remaining air back down through the return and into the tank. Idk, it makes sense in my head lol maybe I'm missuing something
Only 1 fuel filter then?
Only have fuel filters on my FASS 220, they’ve done a fantastic job filtering the last 4 years.
