Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous man. Turn yourself into a lich and lead a crusade. That being said it's an enormous game and you'll need many hours before you start being a necromancer, and the learning curve can be difficult for people not familiar.
Its the ONLY game that really scratched my necromancer itch. some were close but this game made me realize it can be so much better. Loved the lich path its just awesome that you slowly gain this power, lead undead armies instead of crusaders, feed on enemies you've slain, kill all who oppose you and then force them to serve you as dead. Queen? my biatch, guilt ridden dwarf? my bitch! a bounty hunter that tried to slay me? MY BITCH. also saw this 20ft fall demon? my bitch
Legitimately the best lich I've seen in any game is the one in WotR. Its crazy how much it actually makes you FEEL like ̶b̶a̶t̶m̶a̶n̶ a lich. Half my playtime was spent cackling at the evil undead shit I could do.
About time someone else noticed the majesty of overlord. Sadly the iP got dragged through the dirt with fellowship of Evil but hope still lingers in my heart that it will return in its former glory someday
Yeah, there were only 4 Overlord games, which is a shame seeing how only 1&2 are really great :/ The others kinda feel like add-ons to the franchise that pull it down.
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous would have to be my number 1 spot for necromancy power fantasy. The necromancer/Lich path imo also offers the most interesting crusade mechanics. There are not a lot of rpg's where by the end you can become a bigger threat to the region than a literal army of demons. That said the game is truly massive. Each act is of similar length to an act in BG3 but WOTR has 5 acts instead of just 3. Probably a game worth saving for when you have a lot of free time to really explore it.
Is it better for necromancy than Pathfinder: Kingmaker? I believe Wrath of the Righteous is just an expansion to that game, so they should have the same necromancy mechanics. It's basically just the Pathfinder TTRPG in digital form.
@@kulgydudemanyo No Wotr is a complete improvement from Kingmaker and the Lich path blows anything necromancy from kingmaker out of the water in every single way, its a sequel not expansion.
@@kulgydudemanyoI would say it is alot more refined and expanded upon than pathfinder kingmaker. In fact I would say is literally one of the best kind of necromancer focused experiences. It's soooo good
@@kulgydudemanyo It's a new game running the same engine and setting. It's focus is on closing the world wound which is a large planar rift to the abyss pouring demons out. You lead the 5th crusade against the demon horde, and the game's main feature is the mythic path system which allows you to pick a epic power archetype such as Angel, Demon, Lich, Azata (Fairy), Trickster (Loki) etc. Each path cause the game to change significantly, such as if your a Lich, then you get undead armies, can turn your city into a necropolis with the proper civic features and lots of unique dialogue. A rpg is not just about it's mechanics, but how npcs react to you. What point is there to be a evil Lich if nobody even recognize that? If you played BG3 you know how each race has a lot of different dialogue. It's like that.
@@kulgydudemanyoI am taking my own advice and am waiting to get some time to play Kingmaker. But from what I understand Wrath includes all the classes and mechanics from Kingmaker but then builds on them somewhat. With some more classes/archetypes or mechanics. Specifically for Necromancy play style I'm assuming it follows the trend and includes everything from Kingmaker, but in this Wrath almost certainly has more necromancy content due to the mythic path system. Becoming a Lich gives you more necromancy abilities as well as more necromancy story decisions like raising the dead soldiers in your army or your enemy's armies as undead or getting more information from the corpses of some characters. In one notable quest, you are able to raise a long-dead demon to learn key story information earlier than in any other play-through. Lich Path also makes it possible to have a full party of undead companions some of which were key story characters. They work almost exactly the same as mercenaries with very little interactivity but I think that is somewhat excusable for the roleplay of being the lonely necromancer surrounding themselves with the dead. From what I understand Wrath is also a more game polished than Kingmaker with fewer bugs. I believe the crusade management system is quite different to the kingdom management system for better or worse. There are also very few timed quests in Wrath which I understand was a bit of a problem for some people in Kingmaker. TLDR I can't say with certainty but generally, everything I have heard suggests Wrath improves from the foundation laid out by Kingmaker which itself is a digitised version of the tabletop game.
In baldur's Gate 3, you only replace the undead you have if you cast the spell at the same level. I was running around the end game with two zombies, four skeletons, 6 winged ghouls, five regular ghouls, and a mummy. All permanent minions.
@@RisingBlurTR theres also a staff that lets you cast your necromancy spells without using spell slots lol and necromancer wizard, at lvl 6, gets the ability to summon extra undead every time he uses animate dead, and all his undead get extra HP equal to his level and extra damage equal to his proficiency bonus, so the creatures he makes are stronger than other classes.
Please keep going with this, not only did you find an untapped market, but these are so well made and i NEED more Necromancer stuff in my subs! Thank you for feeding my obsession
i solely found you because of my OWN love of necromancy and was dying for the longest time for games that made you feel like one thank you so much for this and thank you for the game recs
Hey, something really exciting! Vermintide 2 is getting a Necromancer class very soon (this month in fact)! It looks like you'll be able to summon and control skeletons to help you against the horde of Skaven and Nurgle followers, and you'll get some new weapons to go with the class! It is likely paid DLC but every class dlc I've gotten has been fun and worth it
Thank you for making these sort of videos. I have been a long time fan of necromancers, and quite frankly I can't get enough of them in video games. Haven't really found something that really scratches my particular itch yet though.
The strategy game Dominions 5 features a middle ages nation called "Ermor". Wherever your religious dominion is, any dead comes back as an undead you can pick up in your ever increasing death blobs of undead. Meaning you are insentivised to have a terrible horrible kingdom where death and decay constantly happens so more people can die quicker. You are literally corrupting the land as you expand your kingdom and use your necromancers to raise even more dead from battlefields. Its sister game "Conquest of Elysium" also has a faction of necromancers who get insane the more they raise the dead, making them an unpredictable deathblob.
Tales of MajEyal is a roguelike with a necromancer class, though you need to unlock it. But it does have all the good necromancy classics, raising undead, eating souls, manipulating bones for attack and defence, frost magic, shadow magic, becoming a lich. There are also few unique items that have extra interactions with necromancers due to having souls in them.
I agree, tome4 have good minion mechanics, had a lot of fun with it. Also there is a popular mod that unlocks all classes from the beginning, so you don't have to spend hours unlocking the Necromancer.
BG3 actually has another type of necromancer in it, and that's the Circle of Spores druid, that lets you infest dead foes and raise them into fungal zombies. Similar to raise dead, but its a class ability, and I think it works on more creatures.
6 months late, but raise dead can also be upcast to raise more undead at once. You can also get Danse Macabre to summon some ghouls, and the raise dead and danse macabre undead can exist with eachother. You can get a pretty sizeable group following you around by act 3, and that's not even including the undead that get turned by your zombies.
War for the Overworld! It is a spiritual successor to dungeon keeper. Its basically the sims but for evil dungeon making mixed with RTS elements of fighting other dungeons and heroes who invade your citadel. They have necromancer minions and necromancer rituals.
YEEEEEAAAAAH OVERLOOOOOOORD. It's THE GOAT. THE GOAT. I'm always happy to see someone new discover one of my favorite games. Don't forget to play the story DLC for Overlord 1 and you'll love Overlord 2 as well. Unfortunately, it's always been more of a cult classic and did not do well enough to continue after Overlord 2. There were some...BAD...attempts at reviving it that are not worth playing. Hopefully one day we get an Overlord 3.
Okay, the Overlord Tier was kind of required. Also, despite not having heard it before, apparently the German VA track is as good as the one I fondly remember in English. I'm glad, because it really is one of the great satirical stories out there and the VA work helped sell that.
I genuinely fell in love with it. Still have to beat it, because I didn’t really get the chance to play it for the last few weeks, but I massively enjoyed playing it! The voice acting was just the cherry onto of an already amazing cake.
Tossing in a mention for the Dominions series. Death magic in Dominions allows you to summon hundreds of chaff led by Wights and, Liches. You can also dip into blood to summon armies of vampires. If you're really crazy, you can summon DEAD TITANS FROM TARTARUS who tend to have some serious mental and physical problems but are still hilariously effective. And that's just the undead you have access to as ANY nation if you have access to death magic! There's also entire nations that focus on thousands of undead chaff being the backbone of their entire national army, a nation that blights literally everything it touches and converts all life into undeath, a nation of ghosts, and one of my personal favorite nations: A nation of ancient egyptian bird people that worship the sun and mummify their leaders on death which allows them to basically live a second time. Any nation that either has what we call "Freespawn" undead or priests that raise undead can lead to some wacky armies of epic proportions.
2 games where you can be a necromancer that i endorse. 1: Tales of mageyele aka ToMe the necro class is fantastic (though it feels impossible to unlock). 2: Barony, your technically a conjurer but you can get multiple undead through recruitment and and your magic. two games i highly recomend
ty for making these vids, ill be watching them to keep an eye on more necromancer games that may have slipped by my ever reaching gaze. also i enjoyed you reading my comment from your other video, made me laugh that mine was so long that not only did it last longer than all the other comments about total warhammer, but u couldnt even get close to finishing it in a timely manner XD
I feel a duty to mention guild wars 1, since the gameplay is significantly different enough. Including the minion summoning where you can dedicate your entire build solely to minion master mechanics (vampiric minions, ranged minions, self resurrecting minions, a massive tank minion, healing your minions, sacrificing your minions, prepping your minions to explode on death, etc.)
Your video was suggested to me, I clicked on it for shenanigens, stayed for the potential. But because of Overlord, you get a like. The game filled my childhood with humor, fun, fantasy, and a different perspective on my mindset. I recommend everyone to at least try Overlord 2, a game made with a lot of love by the developers :)
I have been waiting for a video series like this my entire life! I want to feel like a dark lord of the undead with a massive army of cannibal monsters! Arcane wonders of darkness bent to my will.
Man, these videos are thoroughly entertaining. I really appreciate all of the work that must have gone into these. You channel has a very apparent personality of it's own. Best of luck my dude.
So glad you took a look at Boneraiser minions, it's my favorite game in the vampire survivor genre (and there are a ton of games in that section now). The dev really went above and beyond when it came to designing the different classes, with their own unique mechanics and sometimes unique minions.
I can only agree also the game seems to still get some updates, I think they just added a similar “event” like the existing Christmas one it is just a cosmetic thing but still .
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Love me some necromancy and i just love these two videos, Thank you for making them and helping me find more games to get my necromatic grooove on
I have to throw my particular two cents into this discussion and tell you about Phantasy Calradia! Technically, it's not a "game," per se, at least not a standalone one, as it's a mod for the game Mount and Blade: Warband. However, I don't think that you should let that stop you, as this has one of the absolute best necromancer experiences I've ever had! You truly feel like the villain, slowly growing your army of skeletons, zombies, and others as you sweep across the countryside, taking what little you can, saving every ounce of power you have, until you release your army against a castle and take it over in one swift attack! Gotta be my favorite necromancer feeling I've ever had.
As I'm very excited for it(and to drop a comment for the algorithm) I'll recommend it again. Vermintide 2 is getting a necromancy class DLC on the 19th of October. Long un-live this series!
@@RisingBlurTR trust me, you will not regret playing it, it is one of the most unique games ever. And if you stick around and learn it - it'll be one of your favourites for sure. But to get to the part where you can do Necromancy - you'd have to almost complete the whole game
How long is the game in general? I currently am playing it and I’m genuinely liking what I’m seeing. Would love to show it off in the next episode. So, I need to know how to get the necromancy lol
@RisingBlurTR in experience hands you'll unlock it after around 8 hours, in inexperienced, however... well, it's a rogue-like, not even a rogue-lite, if you know what I mean But do have fun, Exanima may not be in the next video, but it might deserve a special place in your heart and maybe a special video later on :D
The Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, Magiclysm mod (game is free, mod include with game), Animist spell class (just ignore magus spells before learning any animist spells or you cannot become necromancer).
I never thought I would see a video about necromancer related games. This is refreshing. Oh and if you run out of games related to necromancers for reviewing, you can also check out manhwa (Korean manga) stories about necromancers. I don't know why, but lately there is huge increase in necromancer manhwas
Echt vielen Dank dir! Mach dir keinen Kopf, ich verstehe dich ja :D Ich bin selber sehr überfordert wie das Video ankam. Bin auch mal gespannt wie‘s mit dem zweiten Laufen wird :D
If you ever do a part 3, here’s a recommendation. Skeleton dance party. Your a necromancer going through dungeons trying to get things for your party resurrecting the dead. Your minions get in the way sometimes but you can tell them to move and you can raise more as you play.
Minion Necromancer has always been a favorite of mine as well, and as you say its tough finding games the scratch the itch the right way. (probably why your vid did so well cause you went through the games pretty good).
loving this series! maybe you could expand the idea to include games that have other types of automatically attacking units like Sentry Turrets? That one section in Half Life 2 Nova Prospekt where you defend your position from waves of guards with a couple of turrets has to be one of my favorite moments in gaming. Too bad I haven't seen a whole lot of sentries outside of valve games and borderlands.
Surprised no one has recommended Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, you can raise plenty of Orc undead and even ghosty human ones. You can even make some of your undead into commanders for your army during wars. I suggest playing the original first Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, but I don't think that one has raising from the dead.
I watched ur first vid randomly like 2 months ago cuz I was searching necromancer references for worldbuilding, and now YT recommended me this one, but tbh I didnt remember you nor your vid however, necromancers are always 1 of my fav "classes" (or whatever) in videogames so clicked again cuz why not xD and since you will do more vids on it I will sub aswell so I don't miss next one xD
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous has probably the coolest necromancer narrative, wherein it's not just your fighting style but a part of you character, influencing conversations, story decisions and endings
Last Epoch has a Necromancer class that is everything I ever wanted from a minion master class. It is perfection in every way. It puts Diablo to shame and even beats out Path if Exile in my opinion (although just barely)
You should try out graveyard keeper! It's a nice game where u can eventually resurrect zombies and have them work for you. At the start you just have to maintain a graveyard, and find a way to return back to the real world after being dropped in a fantasy realm the DLC's also have pretty funny names
In overlord you can effectively "farm" lifeforce once you unlock the dungeon by battling the different beatle types. You can also farm gold once you defeat prince charming
There's a demo that dropped for a game called Never Mourn on Steam that is pretty good. It has an interesting balance of summoning minions and fighting yourself. Some other recommendations I would have are Last Epoch, which is another ARPG but it's supposed to be quite good, and if you aren't opposed to a bit of a slower game Pocket Rogues. Pocket Rogues is on Steam, but it was originally a mobile game, so it makes for a great dungeon crawler on the go.
@@RisingBlurTR Of course. Always happy to recommend some necromancer games. You said it perfectly in the first video, I want a minion horde necromancer not a edgy curse necromancer.
I like the general undead theme, and I like strategy games. So... Battle for wesnoth has undead faction Dominions 5 has 3 fully undead factions (skelly Romans, ghost Romans and nature undead) Age of wonders 3 has a necromancer leader and faction Death crown - you play as death Songs of Conquest - Baroy of Loth has alliance of Roman larpers and undead Romans Total war warhammer has 3 diffrent undead factions (germans, egiptians and pirates) Fantasy general 2 has Roman empire that uses undead as auxiliaries
I may be a bit biased but diablo 2 necro not being S tier feels insulting. Was one of the best and earliest memories of a game where I could have up to 40+ minions wiping screens for me while my sponge brain looted everything on the ground.
The main reason it is not S is because D2 turns into a pretty insufferable experience, when you go into it blindly. Being extremely unforgiving with it‘s respecs.
You should try the original Guild Wars instead of GW2, it's legit the best depiction of necromancers in any game I've played. If you go a good minion master necromancer build, you can legit have an entire horde at your beck and call.
I don't really have any game recommendations that haven't been mentioned or shown already (it's not a genre I keep up with very much even though I do think it's pretty cool), so as a fellow digital artist with a love of character design, I will instead suggest a few names for the new mascot, depending on your preferences: "Vivian", a common name with roots in the latin Vivus, which means "alive"; "Vitae", itself a latin word referring to life energy in a more abstract sense; or "Inochi", a japanese word which refers again to the concept of life in the abstract (this also gives the opportunity for nicknames like "Chi-chan" and the like if you liked that part of the original name enough to matter) All in all, excellent video, I can tell you have a genuine love and passion for these games, your art, and the concept as a whole, and it's really quite infectious to hear how excited you are about these kinds of things. I wish you all the luck and am subscribing to hopefully see more.
This comment literally made my day. The names are so amazing and way more thoughtful than anything I came up with so far!!! (In one of my recent streams, we designed minions for the necromancer girl and the blood golem just got the name Craig). Thank you so much for liking what I do. And I hope you are also going to like what I do in the future!
You should try Graveyard Keeper with the Breaking Dead DLC, it's a "Farming game" and with the first DLC you can create zombies to do tedious tasks for you
Long time GW2 player here, let me give you a few necromancer tips to maximize your minion mastery. Most important piece of information is that minions DO NOT scale with your stats, just your level. This is a good thing because it means you can spec yourself out for pure survival without ruining your damage output. Go with "Dire" gear for maxed out health, armor, and condition damage. Use a staff in one weapon slot, and scepter in the other for maximum condition skills. Hang back and debuff everything while spreading damage over time skills. Let your minions handle the front line. You should easily hit around 3000 armor and nearly 30,000 health, plus your Death Shroud shield. You'll be basically immortal. But that's just gear and skills. Now passive traits. You want the following three lines; Curses, Blood Magic, and Death Magic. In curses you're just after the capstone that heals you when you use conditions to damage foes. In Death Magic you want to take every possible buff for your minions, as well as the capstone that summons more minions when they kill enemies. Yes; same situation as Baldur's Gate 3. Finally in Blood Magic you want all the life steal stuff. Vampiric Aura also effects minions, and stacks with the passive that specifically makes minions heal you when they attack. Lifesteal actually does bonus damage, so now your minions are an ever increasing army, hit like a truck, have bonus armor, constantly heal themselves, constantly heal you, give you bonus armor, spread poison when they die, and take damaging conditions off you. You're welcome.
Necromancer in the first game was so good. And I loved the multiclassing system so it was fun being an assassin and multiclass to necromancer and be an edgey little ninja boy
You can get a lot more undead than that in BG3 Once you hit level 6 as the necromancer subclass, you get a big bonus to Animate Dead, where it will always raise one extra undead, and they all get bonuses to health and damage. With 4th and 5th-level spells, you can summon elementals and dominate people and otherworldly creatures and beasts, which aren't undead themselves (though neither are pikmin or goblins/imps) but certainly add to the feeling of commanding an army of darkness, and more importantly, you can have them out simultaneously with your undead army. Once you reach level 11 you unlock the final tier of spells, 6th-level spells, which lets you cast Create Undead to create mummies. Additionally, you can actually upcast Animate Dead to use a higher level spell slot. As a 4th-level, it makes THREE zombies (referred to as Zombie Battalion lol) or 4 as a necromancy specialist, at 5th it makes ghouls, and at 6th it makes 3 ghouls. Additionally, if you delve into the ancient necromancy tome, you can learn to summon additional AI-controlled ghouls as a special free power once a day. You can also summon a single familiar, the best of which is probably the little demon gremlin you can unlock on basically any character to my knowledge. You can generally always have multiple summons at once as long as they come from different sources, so you could have 4 zombies/skeletons/ghouls from animate dead + the AI ghouls + your familiar + elementals. If you want to be particularly insane, you can get a full party (of companions or hirelings) together and respec everyone to be a necromancer. (Clerics and Spore Druids also make fine necromancers, so you can even make a well-balanced party this way. Oathbreakers (which are more like Death Knights, but they do get Animate Dead and Control Undead) and maybe bards (they can learn Animate Dead through Magical Secrets, as well as some other stuff like conjure elemental) can work too.)
Firstly, i am so glad you enjoyed Overlord, it's one of my favorite games ever. As for my Necromancer game recommendation, Warhammer Vermintide 2 just added a Necromancer DLC class and while you only get 6 skeletons, they are really usefull and fun.
may i make a suggestion, something that would grow your channel and also help out a lot of people that you should start a series, i am being serious, take a char from a game ( necromancer ) like you are doing now and do a lot of them, and what games they are in and each set of series would just be (THAT TYPE) of char you can find in games, just like you doing with this video but make vol 1, 2, 7 of Necromancer games,,,, barbairan games, paladin games or games that have that char. in those game even there sub chars. sub necromancer. Reason why i bring this up 1) people like to play a type of char. like necromancer and would like to find all game that you can play as them, 2) Game Dev. would use your channel ALOT because you would have ( as time go on ) a collection of videos of char arch types they can do research on, so they would save your channel and watch more of your videos. as you get more (vol 17 of necromancer, amazon etc. videos) they would come back to watch your content for new ideals from new videos you post. on top of that there always going to be new game dev. who know nothing and will look at your old videos and your new videos . so you will grow your channel that way.
I am actually thinking about doing something similar like this for other gameplay styles like druids/ form changers, sorcerers, barbarians etc. But I want to focus on Necromanceers for now. But what would maybe be a cool idea for the future, would be a video about „what is a necromancer/ barbarian/ etc“
@@RisingBlurTR I am really digging whole necromancer game videos, I didnt realize some of these games have necromancer chars. Balloon monkey, seriously, I would haven't never thought, but it is a cool ideal after I seen how they use it
Honestly both of the thumbnails are really good I love the character design. I want to throw my hat in the ring and recommend a game called Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights you aren’t a Necromancers but every attack in the game is you summoning a spirit to fight for you it’s also got one of my favourite soundtracks in all of gaming, it’s a metroidvania and the main character is a little girl who can’t defend herself and has to rely on her summons. There’s a couple that stay by your side and fight on their own a bird and dog I think if I’m remembering correctly it’s been a while since I play it, it’s not a massively sized game I fully completed it in around 30 hours that’s all the endings(3) and getting all items/spirits but I still fondly remember playing though it. Overall It’s a game I love and I found the combat being done though spirits and not fighting yourself to be very interesting and the dodge is just adorable. Hope to see your successes continue man I’ve been loving the content so far your sense of humour is very similar to mine from what I’ve seen and the streams I’ve been able to see have been great.
That intro was brilliant. I watched your first one, but had never heard of you before, so I assumed it was one of those one offs and you were a way more casual YTer. But this video is great! I look forward to more of your funny personality. Subbed :)
I would love to see more entries on great games that have necromancy MODS! I think that a lot of base games can be limited because of the original author's vision, but adding the creativity of modders often adds a new kind of playstyle or even an entirely new campaign!
I'll throw a recommendation for Majesty, The Fantasy Kingdom Sim. One of the guilds you can sponsor is a bunch of female necromancers who spawn skeletons and tame wild undead, and when you upgrade the guild you can spend your kingdoms treasury solely to expanding your undead horde. Very fun, not good for timed missions as it's slow to get going, but is otherwise unstoppable versus the monsters that assail your realm.
Overlord totally deserved this level, I remember all its releases with nostalgia, and it's so good that it's also difficult to recommend it to someone based on their preferences.
You have a new suscriptor only for your carisma, your skillones, and the best of all, the top necromancer series... Also, when a finish to create my game, you will be one of the first people to try the necromancer class 🖤
I am super happy you enjoy my stuff so much. It just always warms my heart to see people actually enjoy the things I create on here. I hope you’re also gonna like what I’m working on right now, because it‘s a BIG one! And.. oh, thank you! What type of game is it gonna be??
A big surprise? I can't wait hahaha. In response to your question, the game will be something like total war: warhammer 3, and elden ring... with more emphasis on your principal character and different challenges and characters (villains, heroes) extremely strong, with many but many eastereggs.
There is a MOORPG Game called "Mortal Online 2" which has a nice necromancer spell school, with building your own undeads, summon zombies and life leech spells. To gain the spell school, it can take quite some work tho
Soulash is a roguelike were you play as an old god that incarnates in the race and class that you choose(one being a Lich Necromancer) that unleash his wrath to regain power, there are NO NPC(or creature) respawn, so you permadeath them, unless if you revive them as as zombie and make an army of undead
i recommend elona. it's an amazing and deep RPG that is also pretty difficult. it also has a greate necromancy system that let's you raise undead, store them in coffins for later use and even merge them with the effect of special weapon from a certain quest. there is also something called a monster ball. you can catch enemies via these balls once you get their health low enough. in case you want to just be a ranger.
There's this old game on a PSP called Undead Knights and it's very similar to Overlord, highly recommend to check it, since there's an easy to install emulator
I am super happy you featured Overlord. In my opinion it is the best minion controlling experience. By far the closest thing to being a badass necromancer. I love the game. Overlord is easily one of my favourites of all time...!! Above S tier, well deserved..!! I love how you can make multiple banners and assign diferent squards to each banner & move them around seperately. It's cool that greens get a unique stealth mechanic when attached to a banner too.
I play league of legends casualy and as a fellow necromancer enjoyer I have come to Inform you of 3 different necromancers in the games 1 yorick a melee fighter who books people with his shovel and resurrects them as ghouls 2 mordekaiser a slow but mighty juggernaut who can send people to hell and fights them there in a 1v1 3 viego a lifesteal focused assassin who can possess the bodies of people he kills and fights as them for a few seconds The game can actually be fun to play casual so if you want to play these fellas still just play bots it's not worth your time
I found out they removed the poll option on UA-cam :(
Can't you do it in ur community tab?
No way! Just seen some polls today.

Jesus Christ
@@RisingBlurTR theres also a staff that lets you cast your necromancy spells without using spell slots lol and necromancer wizard, at lvl 6, gets the ability to summon extra undead every time he uses animate dead, and all his undead get extra HP equal to his level and extra damage equal to his proficiency bonus, so the creatures he makes are stronger than other classes.
Please keep going with this, not only did you find an untapped market, but these are so well made and i NEED more Necromancer stuff in my subs! Thank you for feeding my obsession
I really feel like I found something here. Gonna keep it up!
I'm here because of the lady from the thumbnail and I've been waiting for the video in which she appears... looking forward to the next part. Thanks
Let's go!!! All hail to the dark lords of the forbidden art's of NECROMANCY!!!
I love this and I'll undoubtedly keep enjoying this series!
I also can not wait to play even more in the future!
i solely found you because of my OWN love of necromancy and was dying for the longest time for games that made you feel like one
thank you so much for this and thank you for the game recs
You can not imagine how happy I am about finding more people with the same interest as me.
@@RisingBlurTR we all wanna be the necromancer
Life goals.
Hey, something really exciting! Vermintide 2 is getting a Necromancer class very soon (this month in fact)! It looks like you'll be able to summon and control skeletons to help you against the horde of Skaven and Nurgle followers, and you'll get some new weapons to go with the class! It is likely paid DLC but every class dlc I've gotten has been fun and worth it
Have seen that! It’s definitely going to be part of the next video.
@@RisingBlurTR Heck yeah! I am really excited to see that when it's out!~
Thank you for making these sort of videos. I have been a long time fan of necromancers, and quite frankly I can't get enough of them in video games. Haven't really found something that really scratches my particular itch yet though.
Thank you for watching as well!!
I hope that I maybe am able to show you one in the future :)
Domionions 5 (6 soon to come!) is the only real necromancer experience out there!
Man did not expect to see dominions in this comment section. Ermor is best nation. Not even a competition.
I find it hilarious that so many people liked games about necrimancers specifically, that a second oart came out
It is gonna be at least like 10 like oh my god
Tales of MajEyal is a roguelike with a necromancer class, though you need to unlock it. But it does have all the good necromancy classics, raising undead, eating souls, manipulating bones for attack and defence, frost magic, shadow magic, becoming a lich. There are also few unique items that have extra interactions with necromancers due to having souls in them.
I agree, tome4 have good minion mechanics, had a lot of fun with it.
Also there is a popular mod that unlocks all classes from the beginning, so you don't have to spend hours unlocking the Necromancer.
ive undergone this search at many times in my life, this is a saving grace
BG3 actually has another type of necromancer in it, and that's the Circle of Spores druid, that lets you infest dead foes and raise them into fungal zombies. Similar to raise dead, but its a class ability, and I think it works on more creatures.
6 months late, but raise dead can also be upcast to raise more undead at once. You can also get Danse Macabre to summon some ghouls, and the raise dead and danse macabre undead can exist with eachother. You can get a pretty sizeable group following you around by act 3, and that's not even including the undead that get turned by your zombies.
Necromancy in the old Heroes of Might and Magic was really cool mechanically. You could snowball into a giant army of the undead pretty fast.
So happy I found your video! Definitely subscribing!
Thank you!
War for the Overworld! It is a spiritual successor to dungeon keeper. Its basically the sims but for evil dungeon making mixed with RTS elements of fighting other dungeons and heroes who invade your citadel. They have necromancer minions and necromancer rituals.
I really like the attitude of the little hands on hips drawing when people complained about your like top down games :D That gave me a good chuckle
As someone who has been drawing for 4 years now, the thumbnail art is amazing, i thought u hired someone to make it.
I am really glad you like it! I put a lot of effort into this one to make it look more professional than the one before :)
@@RisingBlurTR Yeah. I thought the previous one looked good, and for 1 hour, it looks amazing.
The thumbnail is why I clicked on the video XD
Domionions 5 (6 soon to come!) is the only real necromancer experience out there!
Overlord is my favourite game of all time.
Subscribing just because of its placement at the peak of the tierlist.
Gedonia. A small indie RPG with MMO style combat and the most comprehensive necromancy skilltree I've ever seen
I‘m glad the joke landed lol.
all hail Nekro-chan the new mascot of the channel!
“I like necromancers but I don’t think anyone else will” brother… I am obsessed with necromancers
This. GW2 made the Necromancer significantly worse.
It makes me really happy to see so many people say that about the random stuff I am doing on here. It makes me greatful and just brightens up my mood.
Heh, boneraiser...
This video came up on my For You Page and I had to go back and watch the original. Now time to view some of your other ones!
As I'm very excited for it(and to drop a comment for the algorithm) I'll recommend it again.
Vermintide 2 is getting a necromancy class DLC on the 19th of October.
Long un-live this series!
Believe me I can not wait for the vermintide DLC!
Your channel is hidden gem, keep it up man
Undead Hord is also a pretty nice Necromancer game, with a classic level progression and a little story.
I watched the first video, this video was recommended. Now I am subscribed because I love your humor!
I cannot believe Exanima isn't on this list, absolutely perfect dungeon crawler necromancer type game.
He would absolutely not get to the point where necromancy is unlocked
What is that supposed to mean??
Just bought it a minute ago lol
@@RisingBlurTR trust me, you will not regret playing it, it is one of the most unique games ever. And if you stick around and learn it - it'll be one of your favourites for sure. But to get to the part where you can do Necromancy - you'd have to almost complete the whole game
How long is the game in general? I currently am playing it and I’m genuinely liking what I’m seeing.
Would love to show it off in the next episode. So, I need to know how to get the necromancy lol
@RisingBlurTR in experience hands you'll unlock it after around 8 hours, in inexperienced, however... well, it's a rogue-like, not even a rogue-lite, if you know what I mean
But do have fun, Exanima may not be in the next video, but it might deserve a special place in your heart and maybe a special video later on :D
wow! i assumed the thumbnail was from something i wasn't familiar with. really impressive!! love her redesign!
Thank you a lot! It makes me happy so many people like her look!
Necro-chan is a great name.
Thank you🥲
Necromancer game recommendations, legitimately lovely art, goofy german potato! Definitely worth the subscription!
Heroes might and magic 3 has a necromancer army.
Echt vielen Dank dir! Mach dir keinen Kopf, ich verstehe dich ja :D
Ich bin selber sehr überfordert wie das Video ankam. Bin auch mal gespannt wie‘s mit dem zweiten Laufen wird :D
Viel Glück!
If you ever do a part 3, here’s a recommendation. Skeleton dance party. Your a necromancer going through dungeons trying to get things for your party resurrecting the dead. Your minions get in the way sometimes but you can tell them to move and you can raise more as you play.
I love how much fun you're clearly having.
Runescape has necromancy now, similar enough to the gw2 necro except the minions look more generic, but also deal a lot more of the damage.
I will put both games on my list for now!
Is nobody going to talk about the Windows activation watermark at 19:00? Great video nonetheless.
My buddy is a real one, I know lmao.
Yupppppo 💯
I watched ur first vid randomly like 2 months ago cuz I was searching necromancer references for worldbuilding, and now YT recommended me this one, but tbh I didnt remember you nor your vid however, necromancers are always 1 of my fav "classes" (or whatever) in videogames so clicked again cuz why not xD and since you will do more vids on it I will sub aswell so I don't miss next one xD
I‘m glad you like my stuff lol xD
Yet more good times. Nothing like a Nightmare before Christmas!
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous has probably the coolest necromancer narrative, wherein it's not just your fighting style but a part of you character, influencing conversations, story decisions and endings
It is on my list to play through it completely on stream, after the current game. It sounds just way too cool.
Last Epoch has a Necromancer class that is everything I ever wanted from a minion master class. It is perfection in every way. It puts Diablo to shame and even beats out Path if Exile in my opinion (although just barely)
I can throw my hat into the ring...
(Stubbs the Zombie)
You are a zombie, eating brains, turning them into zombie...
Look it up, its pretty fun...
You should try out graveyard keeper!
It's a nice game where u can eventually resurrect zombies and have them work for you.
At the start you just have to maintain a graveyard, and find a way to return back to the real world after being dropped in a fantasy realm
the DLC's also have pretty funny names
That is a high quality video out there, really enjoyed it
All I can say is that I waiting the next one in this series
Cheers
Age of Wonders 3 with the Eternal Lords DLC for the Necromancer class. Easily beats Overlord tier and it's even on sale right now.
Honestly Age of Wonders as a whole should get a shout out I think. Even Planetfall which has the assembly which is space undead
I actually just looked up never mourn and I think I fell in love.
Thank you so much!
@@RisingBlurTR Of course. Always happy to recommend some necromancer games. You said it perfectly in the first video, I want a minion horde necromancer not a edgy curse necromancer.
ANOTHER ONE YES PLEASE. TYSM I find necromancer the most fun thing to play
Same!!
I like the general undead theme, and I like strategy games. So...
Battle for wesnoth has undead faction
Dominions 5 has 3 fully undead factions (skelly Romans, ghost Romans and nature undead)
Age of wonders 3 has a necromancer leader and faction
Death crown - you play as death
Songs of Conquest - Baroy of Loth has alliance of Roman larpers and undead Romans
Total war warhammer has 3 diffrent undead factions (germans, egiptians and pirates)
Fantasy general 2 has Roman empire that uses undead as auxiliaries
Domionions 5 (6 soon to come!) is the only real necromancer experience out there!
Bro you are criminally underrated.
Thanks man :)
Keep up the great work
I don't really have any game recommendations that haven't been mentioned or shown already (it's not a genre I keep up with very much even though I do think it's pretty cool), so as a fellow digital artist with a love of character design, I will instead suggest a few names for the new mascot, depending on your preferences: "Vivian", a common name with roots in the latin Vivus, which means "alive"; "Vitae", itself a latin word referring to life energy in a more abstract sense; or "Inochi", a japanese word which refers again to the concept of life in the abstract (this also gives the opportunity for nicknames like "Chi-chan" and the like if you liked that part of the original name enough to matter)
All in all, excellent video, I can tell you have a genuine love and passion for these games, your art, and the concept as a whole, and it's really quite infectious to hear how excited you are about these kinds of things.
You should try Graveyard Keeper with the Breaking Dead DLC, it's a "Farming game" and with the first DLC you can create zombies to do tedious tasks for you
I'm pretty sure you don't need the dlc to make undead, that's like the whole point of the game
Can't believe people recommended Guild Wars 2, but not Guild Wars 1. 2 was an improvement in some areas, but necromancy was was better in 1.
Agreed. GW 1 necromancer felt way more like an necromancer most people fink off welding a minion army
Necromancer in the first game was so good. And I loved the multiclassing system so it was fun being an assassin and multiclass to necromancer and be an edgey little ninja boy
glad to have found your content through that first necromancer video. Great stuffs keep it up
Thank you :)
You can get a lot more undead than that in BG3
Once you hit level 6 as the necromancer subclass, you get a big bonus to Animate Dead, where it will always raise one extra undead, and they all get bonuses to health and damage.
Am actually gonna try it out today lol
may i make a suggestion, something that would grow your channel and also help out a lot of people that you should start a series, i am being serious, take a char from a game ( necromancer ) like you are doing now and do a lot of them, and what games they are in and each set of series would just be (THAT TYPE) of char you can find in games, just like you doing with this video but make vol 1, 2, 7 of Necromancer games,,,, barbairan games, paladin games or games that have that char. in those game even there sub chars. sub necromancer. Reason why i bring this up 1) people like to play a type of char. like necromancer and would like to find all game that you can play as them, 2) Game Dev. would use your channel ALOT because you would have ( as time go on ) a collection of videos of char arch types they can do research on, so they would save your channel and watch more of your videos. as you get more (vol 17 of necromancer, amazon etc. videos) they would come back to watch your content for new ideals from new videos you post. on top of that there always going to be new game dev. who know nothing and will look at your old videos and your new videos . so you will grow your channel that way.
even do sub classes of those type, any thing that would be consider THAT class, would work in the videos
Balloon monkey, seriously, I would haven't never thought, but it is a cool ideal after I seen how they use it
@@RisingBlurTR thank you for these videos and taking time to actually let people know and footage of them
Honestly both of the thumbnails are really good I love the character design.
Ender Lilies is one of my favorite Metroidvanias in existence. Good call! Gonna keep that in mind!
Instead of Necro chan how about Necro Sama.
If you are gonna use Japanese honorifics you might as well use one of higher status.
Fair enough lol.
I used it mostly, because a lot of waifu-y-fications use it.
That intro was brilliant.
I watched your first one, but had never heard of you before, so I assumed it was one of those one offs and you were a way more casual YTer. But this video is great!
I look forward to more of your funny personality. Subbed :)
Vermintide 2 just dropped a Necromancer DLC class which slaps hard, would highly recommend
I would love to see more entries on great games that have necromancy MODS! I think that a lot of base games can be limited because of the original author's vision, but adding the creativity of modders often adds a new kind of playstyle or even an entirely new campaign!
You are so true. I‘m planning on doing exactly that in the future!
@@RisingBlurTR Awesome to hear!
I just subbed after 30 seconds or so. Fantastic work.
God damn. That’s.. fast.
Hi! U can try Dominions (I played Dominions 5) for Lemuria directly or just turn any other faction into dead realm. It is very cool strategy game
Domionions 5 (6 soon to come!) is the only real necromancer experience out there!
In response to your question, the game will be something like total war: warhammer 3, and elden ring... with more emphasis on your principal character and different challenges and characters (villains, heroes) extremely strong, with many but many eastereggs.
sounds great! cant wait.@@allgamesinaction2271
Oh youtube is finally recommending me the content i always asked for
I play league of legends casualy and as a fellow necromancer enjoyer I have come to Inform you of 3 different necromancers in the games
1 yorick a melee fighter who books people with his shovel and resurrects them as ghouls
2 mordekaiser a slow but mighty juggernaut who can send people to hell and fights them there in a 1v1
3 viego a lifesteal focused assassin who can possess the bodies of people he kills and fights as them for a few seconds
The game can actually be fun to play casual so if you want to play these fellas still just play bots it's not worth your time
