Fallout is a cool videogame series although I'm more into The Elder Scrolls.
To be honest, not a great story. I don’t know why they introduced the time-travelly diary entry just to do nothing with it. It’s gimmicky and disconnected from the story. If you were to remove the opening prologue, nothing would change.
Yeah, it made no sense. I was waiting for some sort of payoff but it quickly went into crazy eldritch nuclear monster town within minutes of the bombs going off. Like.. I dunno, I feel like that was *really* fast and there was no real lead-up to it.
Agreed. Also, “When you have to shoot, shoot, don’t talk!” One of my most disliked tropes of story writing. Also loosing the weapon and dropping the weapon and running away after using it once.
I don’t think it was on purpose but if you think about it he almost definitely caused the war by by using his future journal to rig the stock market then execute massive shorts against the Chinese in assumption of a war against them with Taiwan. Like If it’s like a double closed time loop were in each new iteration only has the last dairy before the previous’s death but it’s a weird self fulfilling prophecy where everything becomes more dangerous as the world teeters closer to destruction but he’s not sure if he’s causing it. Sometimes I miss quantum leap.

The only issue with this is that the future diary doesn’t read as if he is already informed of the events of the future.

I used to donate $1 to charity every time i saw a pasta with "rules" or "i hunt" in the title. I'm homeless now.
Well written and beautifully narrated but the story itself felt extremely disjointed… it started with some time traveling type scenario and a storyline started that disappeared without intersecting with the rest of the story in any way at all. Then there was a doomsday apocalypse from global nuclear annihilation. Then there’s some sci fi ghoulish cosmic entity that appears for no reason and they die. No explanation, nothing threading the events together… it was more like a deeply unsatisfying vignette of three stories with no endings that bled into one another and abruptly ended.

Me, I’ll be explaining something or talking for a bit, or whatever, and then I’ll stop, think for a moment and say out loud “umm…I don’t know where I was going with this”. Then just walk off. Happens more often than I’d like to admit.

Why do some of the stories you choose start so promisingly then take an abrupt turn into nonsense? The whole war followed by the creepy guy following them was interesting, but then he shows up as some unexplained, unstoppable demon fire monster? What did that have to do with the war, and why was he picking on these people?
There is no explanation to how the journal time-traveled to his house either

Fully agreed. What the hell was the point of that? I was hoping for some kind of story of attempting to survive in the fresh nuclear hellscape against fellow survivors, radiation, etc. but then it gets railroaded by some eldritch fire demon? Stupid ending. And the diary as a story device didn't even need to be there! If you cut that first but out and start with the road trip, nothing much changes.
@@pinatttt I'm pretty sure the story was just supposed to be the diary bit, and the time travel stuff was added later to meet Nosleep's stupid rules that the story cannot be easily disproven or that the main character needs to have a way to post his story. Saw this once already with a different story.
A bit unconventional but it would be cool if you did a video of your personal top 10 favorite stories you've covered, especially since you've been doing this for almost 15 years now

Why is this a time-traveling journal? What purpose does having this story come from someone’s journal that was found in the burned ruins of his house? It wasn’t even written like a journal entry. It’s nothing more than an alt-future story…and not even an interesting one.
Everything in this story felt disconnected. Almost laughable just how excruciatingly nonsensical this was.

The scariest part of this creepypasta was listening about the Chinese invasion of Taiwan…as a citizen of Taiwan. 💀

I feel like anyone who has written over a thousand journals by the time they're 20 already has a serious problem, before we even get to anything else in the story. Hell, the "story" made it seem as if the guy had been writing this journal while all the chaos was happening. And who the hell feels the need to write down in minute detail how someone died?
...and let's be honest, he could've finished the monster off while it was on the ground. Never mind that it comes out of nowhere just to fulfill some strange need to even have a monster. I dunno, the whole thing just felt stilted and awkward to listen to. I kept waiting for some payoff.
Creeps' narration was wonderful and that's why I kept listening but...

I found a Journal to my Furutre Self. It said "QUIT JOURNALING AND DO."
Ending doesn't fit the story.
No hint of an explanation of how the diary got from the rocky cave at the end to the burned house at the beginning.
More thought seemed to be given to the mechanics of being burned alive.
Guy didn't even think to put a bullet in his girlfriend's head to save her from burning to death.
Or dragging the guy's body away from the fragments of his skull so the worms would take longer to stitch him back together.
(There is a reason (in folklore) you burn the body and then scatter the ashes into 7 different rivers.)

This is not one.
PS Just told my wife about this and we both agreed. If we were burning alive, we would be begging the other to end the torment.
We also both agreed we would first; Stop Drop and Roll to see if we could put out the flames.

Hey creeps I’m a long time fan I’ve been watching your videos for honestly as long as you can remember I’m not sure what’s been going on but I’ve noticed you haven’t been posting very frequently I hope everything’s been okay and you keep up the good work these stories are a part of my daily life I just wanted to say it😅
Damn CMP, that was one of the most horrifying stories I’ve heard in a long time! The realism of the whole thing was as if a nuclear weapon had indeed landed within a few hundred miles from them. And when he did see the man for the first time, I hadn’t quite made up my mind as to whether he was a total vision, or a paranormal entity. It hadn’t been long enough for radioactivity to affect the human body to such an extent, but if you’re already 9/10 of the way there, it’s just enough! And what he became was so incredibly well, scary, that I was just hoping that he’d find a way out. When he said that he indeed had a gun, I had a little hope. But he was not a good shot, and allowed his wife to be taken and had to watch her burn to death while still alive. I personally cannot imagine a worse scenario than that. To see the love of your life literally burn to death and to hear her screaming all the while, to me that is it’s very own Hell on earth. And he didn’t really seem to try to do as much as he could to help? Maybe I underestimated how hard he’d been struck. Or maybe he was making his way over, but it just drove me crazy knowing that all that time he hadn’t really done anything! I’m definitely getting too involved in this one! It’s pulling on my emotions too hard which makes it an excellent story. My praise to the author!

Meh... not that good. The USAF doesn't keep ICBMs in Arizona. Our missile wings are spread out around Minot AFB, ND, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, and Malmstrom AFB, MT. We don't really keep stockpiles in Arizona. The author is mixing up Arizona and New Mexico. Kirtland AFB and Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque is what he's thinking of. A warhead re-entering the atmosphere happens in the blink of an eye, there's no smoke trail to see.
I wish my 8 year old self got a diary from my future self that would say 'start a whole food plant based diet now! Life would be way better for at least 40 years of my life.

It was an excellent story until the protagonist silently watched his gf burn alive (why didn't he try to help her? He had time to watch and threaten the other guy, but not to try and save her?) and then proceeeded to write in his journal.
Did he stay there, in a destroyed tent, next to her charred corpse, to write in his journal?
I'm so disappointed because the beginning was truly intriguing and promising.
