      I don't think so. Here in the states, if you happen to kill someone while committing a felony that's first degree murder. It is called felony murder. So the fact that he was an accessory to armed robbery, home invasion, breaking and entering and whatever else resulting in a murder whether planned or not,...... He would still get murder one. definitely reminds me of something realistic; psychosurgery (which includes most infamously lobotomies, and a lot of similar procedures that are now widely considered horribly unethical by 99% of the medical community) was actually still being performed at some facilities as recently as the 1990s, and I believe might still very occasionally occur in some parts of the world, but yeah it basically does stuff like this to people, "cures" them of mental health issues or problematic behaviors by destroying parts of their brain and permanently changing them as people (inevitably making them much less of people). Probably one of the single most barbaric things that we've ever done to fellow human beings imo, and something that happened very much in "our" society, nonetheless. I know the procedure in the story was claimed to not be surgical, and seems potentially supernatural, but it's pretty clear what it's supposed to remind us of.

    story felt like an incredibly generic "we're a poor family and the universe is cosmically against us and then creepy things happen" but i actually got sorta sucked back in when he started acting normal again but then the whole souls and demons stuff just completely took me out of it again, by the line "hes moving stuff without touching it" i was just laughing. honestly massive shame as this concept had potential and was even well handled in places. hope this writer keeps trying to make stories because i feel like with time and experience they could create some very good conceptual horror

    I feel like this story would have been awesome if it ended around the 26 - 30 minutes... after that it was just repeating ways to say how he was lifeless and empty, and then the part after that, it got kinda hokey and typical-creepypasta-ish. Like of course it was something malevolent, wouldn't be "creepy" otherwise?

    • @chaossmith3864
      @chaossmith3864 11 місяців тому +2

      Imo there's something infinitely more creepy about the idea of something not malevolent because... Well... It's not as cut and dry.
      Someone still lost their personhood, but also the entity isn't just some bad guy.
      Too bad people think malevolence is auto/extra spook factor. But imo it's like... Well yeah something that could cause harm is scary. People don't tend to like the idea of being harmed.
      All that being said technically we don't know the full nature of whatever it is. Clearly whatever it is has some code or care, based on the interaction and lack of any actual menacing outside of existing the way it does.
      So really this one is way more open to interpretation than most. I think there's some assuming going on a bit because that's usually what happens. But this doesn't feel quite so open and shut to me at least.
      That being said I have little doubt if it were to continue.... Yeah the entity would probably be malevolent as hell unfortunately. Because... Well that's usually how it goes. I have little reason to believe it wouldn't.

    The backing from ANY level means NOTHING when you wake up with me standing over you. So i suggest that you watch your mouth. Or be sure to get all of your crying begging completely out of your system. When i come to settle all accounts tears don't affect me other than letting you know if you did not cry committing the actions that earned the lesson you will soon know very well. Do not cry now, unless you want to know the reasons every tear shed before this was a complete waste you could never do again if you experience anything again. Bottom line ANYONE hurting what i love...
