You are so precious! Your joy is contagious and your love for the Lord is tangible. You absolutely glow when you are bringing your message! I get such a blessing from watching you! ❤
Thanks for another lovely one. That seafoam colour looks really good on you ! Your husband really doesn't know what he's missing there... How nice to be knitting hats for the homeless, surely that will be appreciated when winter comes. And what an amazing story you ended with...
I loved your podcast and especially your sharing at the end. My favorite takeaway, besides the story was the reminder: Be still and know that I am God. And that's just what I did right then. Thank you, Ruth
I love the story at the end. God truly is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing that with everyone.✝️⛪️🙏 Love your knitting 🧶. I enjoy watching your podcasts.😊
Just the most beautiful podcast as usual Ruth, gorgeous knits and I haven’t started my dust it off pattern yet either! Loved the story about your husband and the jumper and it looks wonderful. Always hang out for your little verse at the end and my goodness, what a story. I have always loved that verse Be still and know I am God. Going to write that one in the book my daughter is putting for people to write their favourite bible verse on her wedding day. Enjoy your break xxx
Thanks for sharing that lovely story...I love your test knit shawl...those are great colors together.....Good for you for taking your husband's "to be" sweater and making something for yourself😍.
I LOVE your test knit shawl. The colors are absolutely perfect. & I'm right there with you with the wips...there's never too many! Lol. Love the story at the end ❤️ gods timing is so much better than ours. I prayed and begged God for a baby for 2 years with no luck but then in HIS timing, we were blessed with one and then a second and then a third. And looking back I can see his timing was so so much better than what I had in mind! He is so good! Thank you for a lovely podcast Ruth! -makayla
Love your knitting Ruth and loved that story you shared ,I do believe God has the perfect timing in answer your prayers .I would love to learn more about the missionary work.Thank you xx
I always love seeing your podcasts! You bring such a ray of sunshine to my day. Especially your little encouragements at the end and the things that the Lord is laid on your heart.
My city has so many houseless people, it's becoming a big issue. I love the idea of making hats for them and supporting a make along for that endeavor.
Sea foam looks great on you! Lovely that you could finish the pullover and keep it for yourself. You do just keep going round and round with the granny square. Looks great!
Thank you for your mention of my upcoming new pattern which, thanks to your very good test knit, will hopefully be mistake free. Another great episode Ruth, perfect for a soggy Friday morning in North Wales with a cup of tea and some relaxing knitting.
Wow! I found your podcast today. I was very blessed by all the fun knitting content but…you REALLY spoke to my heart. After a very challenging day at work, I so appreciate your gentle reminder that God has a perfect plan in all of this. Thank you!
Dear Ruth, I was watching your podcast yesterday but was unable to finish it so I continued watching it today...God is so amazing and you are right he has perfect timing. I was having a really rough day today and your words stopped me in my tracks and reminded me that I need to Be Still and leave my problems with Him. Thank you so much for sharing your knitting and especially your relationship and God and His Word. You are such a blessing. I hope you have a fantastic day!!!❤
Thankyou so much for your spiritual chat ❤ I have to tell you, you have reignited my faith and love for the lord! I came back to prayer each day while I knit❤
I live in Southern California. I have visited Ireland four times out of the last five years. I love it love it love it. And I’ve been to Killkenny every time. I hope you have a wonderful time.
Hi Ruth, i do enjoy your videos so much, you always brighten up my day. I also enjoy the ends of your videos (sorry im French speaking and i cannot remember the proper words ) , ty so much :)
Hi Ruth, I listened to your podcast while in there waiting room at the hospital as my husband had leg and ankle surgery. He fell while we were in Scotland last week and we used What 3 Words to pinpoint our location for a mountain rescue. I'd never even heard of that app until then and then you mentioned it on your last podcast. I appreciate so much your words at the end of this podcast about the Lord's perfect timing and purpose in our lives. These are words I know are true and am so familiar with their power, and still they are so so so good to hear again and again. Thank you for sharing. This was one of your best messages. I know they come from the heart. I feel the spirit testify of their truth, so thank you for that! Love your knitting projects! Especially your new sweater. 😂 Don't give up on knitting a sweater for Nigel!!! He just needs the right color! Something boring, like dark gray or green. 😜
Hi Ruth! I must say your husband’s sweater looks lovely on you. I completed my first mindfulness shawl and will give it as a gift this weekend. Now don’t get me started on a new pattern 😉!
Hello Ruth I came across your podcast just yesterday. I had traveled 4 hours to my hospital that I am having treatment at for cancer and an accident. I had a medical issue that had to be looked at. I was having a real bad day. But finding your podcast while waiting in the doctor office. I love your stores, I am really enjoying the scriptures your are sharing. Yesterday and today I watched quite a few and they helped me cope and feel a bit of peace while waiting. I look forward to watching all your previous videos!
I am going to strive to have a more complete faith and believe that a hot water bottle and a doll are on their way in the situation where they are needed. Thank you for that beautiful reminder. The faith of a child has encouraged me to grow my own faith❣️🙏🏻
Hi Ruth! You have gained a nice surprise sweater! And now you have a great excuse to not feel you should knit one for him again 😂 Too much time is invested in jumpers for the recipient to be iffy about them. He can have a hat or socks instead 😉 I’ve just finished 2 test knits, and after I finish 2 other things, I’m going to dust off a pattern or two and join in the fun of the MAL 😃 Thanks for having this MAL, and have a lovely July 🤗🤗🤗
Hello Ruth, love all your knits, great to see you crochet, I do both. Crochet takes twice as much yarn , but looks great. It all has its place. I have torn my arm bicep, not so good for knitting which sucks. So at present I live through everybody else’s knit. Knit on. 🧶🇦🇺
I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts. Thank you for sharing. I don’t crochet but really want to make the grannies in a row socks. I may have to give it a whirl.
That was a super podcast Ruth. Oh my goodness - all those FOs. Amazing 👏. I always look forward to your scripture and it was so good hearing today’s incredible story. Thank you for sharing this with us. I have been knitting on my “ dust it off” sweater which has been lingering for a few years. Also, knitting the Steven West sock along - never knitted a sock before so this is interesting. May only do one and frame it!!!!🤭.
I needed your message today. Nothing I didn’t already know, but good to hear again. I love seeing all your pretty shawls and your green sweater came out beautifully, like it was meant for you!

Hello Ruth- thank you so much for another wonderfully entertaining episode! All your projects are fabulous and your words about God’s timing were a real blessing! Thanks

Just wanted to let you know that I just love your intro music, it's lifts my spirit. Your husbands ex sweater looks great on you. Oh, I cried about your story about the Doctor. I had a similar thing happen to me. My loving husband had always worked for his family as well as made sure we all went to church, at that time we had 5 children. I worked doing church events like preparing food for members of the church, taught Sunday class, etc. Well suddenly my husband found he was going to be out of work because the place was closing that branch. They had him stay just a few weeks longer to transfer data on the computers. I know some people at church were concerned about our situation, but I know I told one person who asked, was "the Lord knows our situation, he will provide for us". Well 2 weeks before unemployment would be running out, he got a call from a person who knew him, asking if he knew any one who could do exactly what my husband did. He thought my husband was working, and when he said at the moment he was out of a job. So this person hired him right then on the phone. So when he worked the two weeks at this new job to get paid, our money had just run out. God did provide. I hope I made this sound right, for I am not a writer. Terri
Really enjoyed this episode. All your knitting is lovely, wish I could be more adventurous in my knitting. I also love knitting cables. I have knit rwo aran weight throws for friends & a double weight one for my husband. I have a collection of a well known supermarket yarn bought over a few years & decided this was the year it was going to be used. I found the Corner to Corner crochet pattern & have finished a double weight, double bed sized one & am almost done with an aran weight one for the bed in winter. They are a great stash buster and can be made any size. I have also learnt how to make a rectangular one so thats my next crochet project. I still have lots of wool so am looking at making a quillow for my niece, haven't decided if I'll knit or crochet it yet. Be still & know is one of my favourite hymns. It often pops into my head when I need to take a breath in this crazy world. Best wishes from rural Ireland.
Hello Ruth Been watching your podcasts for a while now and just recently subscribed. Really enjoy your content and of course YOU. Saw your crochet granny squares. Beautiful. Just wanted to say, I think your problem is keeping your corners aligned. Possibly when transitioning from one round to the next. Try placing stitch markers in the chain space of each corner to keep yourself right. Don’t give up, your stitching looks very nice, practice makes perfect. PS try watching UA-cam videos - there are lots of them that will help you master crochet in no time at all. Best wishes, look forward to seeing an update of your Granny Square blanket soon 💗
Hello Ruth, I think it's great that you're giving crochet a go. I started at the end of last year and it has been quite a challenge going back to beginner status as regards skill. Keep going. I've almost completed my first garment the Lowrider tee by Iron Lamb. I can hardly believe that as I was certainly out of my comfort zone, especially at the beginning. Btw my lovely prize wool is telling me that it wants to be a brioche knit !
Hi Ruth, I always look forward to hearing your thoughtful message at the end of your podcast. You said it may sound simple, as it was something you spoke to the Sunday school children about, but those simple things are the most memorable to me......and we are commanded to be as little children, and I reckon that comes under that umbrella too. It was interesting to hear about Helen Roseveare, I will be looking further into her life and books, and I personally would be very interested in hearing about other missionaries. Something you may like, or your daughter or Sunday School students, I recently downloaded a free audio book from Librivox called Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss, from memory there are two versions, I chose to listen to the second version read solo by Theresa L. Downey. Its a fictional tale with a dramatic element and took a couple of chapters to get into, but its written from the perspective of a young girl writing a diary and keeping it all of her life. Its all about her growing in maturity in Christ well into her adulthood. You probably have already heard of it, but its really is timeless, I loved knitting along and listening and wishing I had such a novel to read as a young teen. Thankyou for another lovely catchup, God bless you and keep you until next time. Mrs P
Honestly, what are husbands like? Mine won’t even let me knit him a black beanie! Perhaps he is jarred from a knitted childhood 😅. I’m a shawl knitter too and have just completed the Pressed Flowers Shawl. It is really lovely but it took me 3 attempts to get the chart right. The 2nd attempt got almost to the border before I realised my fatal error in the shaping and I gave it to my teddy instead of unravelling it. Thanks again for your podcast and the reminder of our wonderful God too! 😊xxx
Your crochet endeavors look great. What about your daughter’s crochet hobby? Couldn’t she help with some lessons? Love your podcast and your spiritual lessons. Thank You!
I heard Helen Roseveare speak at an Urbana Missions Conference for young adults over 40 years ago. I still remember some of the things she said all of these decades later. I needed that reminder of God’s timing and God’s care today. Thank you for sharing it ❤
Hi Ruth lovely to hear and see you ,look forward to every podcast Just a quick question you do a lot of the top down jumpers and I’m older than you by many many years have knitted for a number of years but never done anything top down is this a difficult way to knit jumpers ect are the patterns very easy to follow and can you recommend an easy one please xxxxx
I think it is simple and no seaming up. they say Tin Can knits Flax sweater is great but I have never actually knit it. Maybe try the Tolsta by Rebecca Clow.
I just had to share. Long ago, when I was first married to a man studying to be a minister I prayed for things. We bought a house and I'd hoped to have a garden. There was a lot next to our home and I considered the field and made the decision to purchase it. I planted a garden, a big garden! There was going to be quite a bit of produce and I started praying for a freezer. It appeared there was a little money in the budget for a freezer. Well, wouldn't you know it, that money had to be used for something else and soon there wasn't any money for a freezer. I still prayed. One day my husband came home from school and the fellow that ran the bar next door to us was talking to my husband. The subject of the garden came up and what we were going to do with the produce. The bar owner told my husband he had a freezer that we could have just for taking it away! When we no longer needed the freezer, we passed it on to another family that had a need for a freezer. His ways are not our ways.
Could you please tell me the name of the toy you are using as a counter. I have the same problem with keeping track of rows and seems like a perfect solution.

😊xxx
Yes the Presses Flowers Shawl was tricky initially. I had a few false starts with it too. Worth it though x
Your crochet endeavors look great. What about your daughter’s crochet hobby? Couldn’t she help with some lessons? Love your podcast and your spiritual lessons. Thank You!
I don't think Eva would have the patience to teach her old Mum x
I heard Helen Roseveare speak at an Urbana Missions Conference for young adults over 40 years ago. I still remember some of the things she said all of these decades later. I needed that reminder of God’s timing and God’s care today. Thank you for sharing it ❤
That’s so thoughtful of you Karen, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
Hi Ruth lovely to hear and see you ,look forward to every podcast
Just a quick question you do a lot of the top down jumpers and I’m older than you by many many years have knitted for a number of years but never done anything top down is this a difficult way to knit jumpers ect are the patterns very easy to follow and can you recommend an easy one please xxxxx

Amen x
Is there a pattern for the hat "the charity beanie?"
Yes. It is linked on The Albanach Knitter youtube channel and on his Insta bio.
Hi, Ruth - I love Kelly2knits blanket. Would you consider sharing the name of her pattern? Thanks very much from Canada.❤
It says Meadowlands baby afghan but don't know they designer. X
Could you please tell me the name of the toy you are using as a counter. I have the same problem with keeping track of rows and seems like a perfect solution.
They have all different names but my kids call them Poppets. X
Your husband missed out on a beautiful sweater.
