I just love your podcasts so much!!! ❤ you have a wonderful way about you that’s a blessing to me. My three words are; Encourager, Knitter, crocheter. I also am from the USA and I now live in Kentucky. I’m 70 years old and have crafted for truly most of my life. God Bless you!😊
Hello Ruth, lovely to see you. As always beautiful work and loving your sweater and shawls. The three words are organised, kind and loyal. Thank you for sharing your adventure in Ireland. Hugs ❤❤❤ 45:36
I love katie green podcasts. I also really enjoy yours no matter how long it is. I love that fact that you reclaim projects from your own yarn.i am also a process knitter. I also love the end of your podcasts just such an awesome uplifting way to end a podcast. ❤
Lovely to see you again, I always look forward to your podcasts so inspiring. I live in tropical Australia so today it’s a beautiful winter day 27c. My three words are creative, unconventional and stubborn and I’m 82 years young 😊
Love your jumper Ruth. It’s really special. Your scripture is food for thought and very welcome. It was great hearing about your jolly. My three words are: loving, loyal and jolly. My husband has said his three words for me are: funny, loving and eccentric and if he had a fourth word for me it would be bonkers!!!😂😂
Can't wait to get started on my first slip crazy shawl that you have been knitting away at. Looks like fun. Love love your podcast. You are so honest and I truly like that.
Absolutely love seeing you anywhere anytime. You always make my day especially with the bible study at the end. The 3 words for me would be quiet, caring and respectful I think. My goodness that slip shawl 😍 have seem a few on your podcast but the first one you put up sold me. I paused your podcast and bought the pattern and raided my stash in 10 mins 😂😂 All your knits are so beautiful as are you ❤️
I am one of those freezing off their toes in Australia 🥶😜 but my heart is warm after watching your podcast. So glad you had an amazing time on your recent trips. Take care xxx❤
Great makes😵💖💗💖Ruth,,,, Enjoy UR stories,,,and trips,,, Great yarns,,, Gosh 3 words,,,,Happy,,content,,kind,,, Elaine 😍😍🏡 Attic 24 in uk has great beginner crochet patterns in her blog,,,all tutorial there and all free,,,,and she uses style craft dk,,,for all her blankets,,,!!!Worth a look,,,Great Colors too,,
Ruth, your chats can never be too long! I have also been working on my yarn room, and today I am SO excited because the Haberdashery cabinet from Tunbridge Wells is finally being delivered today. This is a very special and amazing gift from my husband. This cabinet has been on quite the journey from the UK to the US. I can't wait to fill it with my yarn and stuff.
Thank you for braving the heat. I always enjoy your podcasts. The three words question gives me flashbacks to when I was 10, maybe 12 and a teacher asked the same question in class. I was terribly shy, so having to give 3 words about my self AND tell them aloud to the class……to this day I remember the panic. Ah, the anxieties of childhood. My 3 words today would be loyal, honest and happy.
So lovely to spend time with you again, Ruth. I get so excited when your podcasts pop up in my notifications! My three words would be friendly, caring, and smiling 😊
I enjoy your podcast very much. The projects you make inspire me to try them. I am making the shawl with the two different fingering weights of yarn. I hope it turns out as nice as yours. We all have those single skeins we can use up with this project. Three words to describe me are Shy, Quiet and Anxious. I also enjoy your little talk at the end of each podcast. I attended a Catholic school as a child , so when I come across a situation , I ask myself what would Jesus do? I was taught he lives in all of us.
An Anazing amount of finished items and wips. Oh joy a trip with your daughter to family in Ireland. Ice-cream and yarn acquisitions. Paid for yarn what more can a gal wish for? Please pray for me I have issues with my back and I walked into a wooden carved cheetah and now my knee is sore. Now this afternoon I tripped over a lead and broke my fall at the doorway of the bathroom. It sounds like a crazy home - yes it is ❤😊 I have had treatment for my back so costly and the pain is returning😊
As you were talking about your experience with knitting with fluff in the heat I was knitting at my mohair project and the stitches felted on the needles and I hardly could pull out my needle 🫣🤭 no fluff project in summer ☺️. My three words are enthusiastic, reliable and steady. Thank for your podcast. It will never be too long for me 🫶
It's always a great time spending time with you so never any worries about the length of your podcasts. I always get inspiration from seeing all of your WIP's and finished objects. It seems like we never have time to knit all that's in our queue. My three words are faithful, creative, and determined. Thanks again for a great time😊
Hello Ruth from Purcellville, Virginia, USA! I heard mention of you on the KnittyMcPurly podcast. I am a wife/mom/grandma and I knit a great deal (some crochet). Most of all, I am a Christian and I just loved hearing the exhortation at the end of your podcast-how very uplifting! Thank you! Here in Virginia I am involved with Community Bible Study and my local church. Blessings, Eileen
You are, as i say everyday a sunshine , and i love to listen to you everytime! I slip all when you came with new podcast and listen to you! Thank you! Creative, caring, kind ❤
Hi Ruth, thank you once again for another enjoyable and inspiring episode! Its always so nice to have a cup of tea and Knit with you from across the pond! My 3 words are loving, faithful and caring. Happy Knitting🧶 Take care!
Thanks Ruth - you’re such a natural podcaster. Love the fact you can knit your favourite patterns over and over again. And yes we are freezing here in Australia. We’ve had the coldest May In Sydney in 53 years!!! Lovely reminder of those beautiful verses in 1 Peter. Thanks again
Love the James c Brett shh yarn knits up so nice and light for those of us with our own internal heating system 🥵My 3 words have to be sarcastic, loving and faithful .. your podcasts always bring a sense of fun and make me smile ❤
❤ Ruth I really love what you share about the Lord. You are an excellent teacher of the gospel and I so appreciate the messages we really need to hear right now. All the best, Joyce
New to your podcast. I love the knitting and the Christian encouragement, and your accent. 😃 My 3 words would probably be introvert, friendly, and whatever the opposite of spontaneous is 😂
Hi Ruth. Thanks for another lovely podcast. You should really try to crochet the throw. I learned to crochet over lockdown and that was the first pattern I attempted. It was really easy to follow and the end result was just like the picture. It's a great feeling of achievement to do something new and I know you could do it.
Always such a fun podcast! My 3 words are loving, listening, making. It looked like you’ve had the best fun times with family and friends lately! I’m so glad that Eva has taken up crochet do that the two of you can share the love of fiber crafts.
So glad you had a good trip. I have now finished 2 Mindfulness shawls and have 2 more started. It's hot in Texas! But we do have the AC that's been running constantly. The temp have been well over 95 for a couple of weeks, including a few 100+ days. I have still been wearing a large, hard cervical collar anytime I am not sitting or in bed. I am so glad to lose it at the end of the week. While it will still be too hot to hold wool all day, it will be better. Be blessed.
What glorious weather we are having even longer to sit out all day knitting into the evening 😊. My three words are respectful, loving and sensitive 😃. Thanks Ruth for accompanying me on my crafty sessions 🧶🙏🏻
The lighting was great in this new spot! I realize it’s temporary. Hopefully, paint color works out soon. So many new projects and yarn 🧶! Enjoy your crafting and stay cool 😎! I’m going to think about holiness today. Thank you 🙏🏼
Didn’t we have a lovely day! (I’m Carole in the yellow dress 😊) - I missed the sale bin!! I concentrated on the fibre tops and added to my stash as you do. Thank you for another lovely podcast and aspirational message xxxx ❤
Three words that sum me up 🤔 crafty, faithful and understanding, I hope. I have made the crochet blanket pattern you bought, you could absolutely do it, I’m a knitter and I managed it. I won the slip crazy shawl and have nearly finished it, a great knit. Seems like ages since your last podcast , glad to see you back ❤x
Yes!!! We're freezing here in Sydney Australia. Send a bit of warmth our way. Thanks for your podcast another enjoyable hour spent with you Ruth. My three words... crafty (as in sewing and knitting) loyal, friendly
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 😊. I think one of my favourite yarn brands is John Arbon....I have a sweater's quantity of that same Pig Snout, and while watching this episode I am knitting a shawl with their Appledore Lace-weight in the Quench colour...it's so beautiful. This episode comes at a good time...I've been pondering ripping out a sweater that doesn't suit me. What's holding me back is feeling like I've wasted all that time last year knitting this top....but if I don't like it, surely it's wasted just sitting on the shelf? I recently saw a Joji pattern for a shawl that made me think it would be better use of the yarn. I had wondered if I could just use the yarn all crinkled, or would it need washing. I think I know someone who has a niddy noddy...I'm sure I could borrow it 🤔 My three words...brave, sad, curious.
Great makes again Ruth, love your colourful bags and sock sets. I was going to do my own advent from my stash this year, still not got round to it!!! No excuse LOL. what3words to describe me: Creative.Patient.Helpful.
I am so glad I found your podcasts! I finished my LUMI light hat by Jessica McDonald, while listening tonight. 3words; listener, creative, and kind. Also, a big thank you for sharing the gospel message so faithfully!
Lovely Ruth, lovely words to end with. I have never heard of WWJD, but I think it often....I also love Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I fear everday Im not perfect (knowing I wont be in this world) but most of the time its a good fear, a healthy fear of God which keeps me on that straight and narrow path. I can allow satan to creep in though, and berate me and bring me to points of huge dispair, I try not to but Im afraid my ears are open to the hate more than the love. At the same time God knows those depths of the heart which we cant, or are too ashamed, or too self loathing to reveal, and he steps in and reassures us with love unspeakable when we need it most. My greatest fault is forgetting to pray, I try so hard to do things myself and forget how much God wants to help me, even in the simplest things.....and my prayers are always answered, and it amazes me how often they are swiftly answered, as if He is reminding me not to forget how much he loves me and to get on with praying continually rather than occasionally. How very loving and humbling. Thankyou for your reminders Ruth, we need them every minute of every day. MrsPilgrim (Tara) Oh, my three words, Christian, Pilgrim (in a strange land), Tara.
Always love your podcast, you are natural and bubbly please do not change. Ruth do you know where I can get the Twin set and purl ladies patterns. I am unable to use Raverlry and I so love the bandana cowl. My three words caring, woolly, determined. Thank you again. wendyxx
Hi Ruth! When you talked about your kitty noddy you mentioned washing the yarn. Where in the process did you do this? I should recycle some yarn too. My three words would be believer, friend, and procrastinator.
A long podcast is fine with me. Ruth, I don’t think the crochet blanket with squares would be any more difficult than the the striped blanket. It looks like it uses basic stitches. You already knit and that makes it easy to learn anything in crochet you haven’t done before. If you run into something you don’t know, just look up the instruction online. I knit and crochet (learned knitting first) and I think crochet was easy to learn.
Hi RUth, I love your podcast. I just knit away while I’m watching and listening. So sometimes I miss things. I missed the name of the pattern for that first shawl you showed. They are just beautiful. So please! Would you share the name of the pattern?
You might want to check out having your husband's jumper overdyed after you finish it. Maybe one of the sock dyers you know. Hope it all works out. Thanks for keeping it real
Just found your podcast mentioned in Knitty Mc Purley podcast. It’s a lot to ask, but any way you an link the patterns you mention. Loved the two shawls that you mixed the colors with.
Hi. No idea how to do links sorry. I am not very technically minded. I always put the details in the show notes and indicate if they arent on Ravelry. X

We all fall short but so thankful he loves us unconditionally x
The crest bandana cowl is listed at 4.00 GBP I’m guessing about $5 USD
Yes I think it changed to give more money for the cancer charity. Still a very good price and patterns are buy one get one free.
Always love your podcast, you are natural and bubbly please do not change. Ruth do you know where I can get the Twin set and purl ladies patterns. I am unable to use Raverlry and I so love the bandana cowl. My three words caring, woolly, determined. Thank you again. wendyxx
They are only on Ravelry as far as I know. You could contact them by email I am sure. They have a podcast. Their details would be on there.
thank you Ruth I will try that, keep cool and keep knitting those lovely shawls.xx
Hi Ruth! When you talked about your kitty noddy you mentioned washing the yarn. Where in the process did you do this? I should recycle some yarn too. My three words would be believer, friend, and procrastinator.
Just soaked it in the bath tub. Just clear water.

Hi RUth, I love your podcast. I just knit away while I’m watching and listening. So sometimes I miss things. I missed the name of the pattern for that first shawl you showed. They are just beautiful. So please! Would you share the name of the pattern?
