Ruth you seem so surprised that so many people tune in to watch your video cast. You are a very positive person. You are very honest and kind. You are a wonderful knitter. There is not one portion of your video that I do not want to see. I think we all get a warm feeling in our hearts to share this time with you and it does not matter we are so far apart!! We can feel together for an hour or so❤
You are always an encouragement Ruth! Thank you for sharing your knitting with us, but must of all, thank you for sharing Jesus and God’s wonderful Words with us! Love the verses you shared today! I am in a much later season of life (can’t believe it’s gone by so quickly). God has blessed my husband and I with 49 years of marriage, 4 Godly sons , 4 beautiful DIL’s, and 16 grandchildren. We continue to pray for all of them to know Jesus as Savior and live for Him! We are Bible College Grads, and continue to serve God in our church. We are currently seeking a Pastor, so my hubby is preaching, teaching, and leading! I am still teaching 4yrs- 2nd grade for Sunday School. Love to teach them! So we are still very active but I have plenty of time to knit, quilt, crochet and do my puzzles! God is very good …. All the time! God Bless you!
Hello from Two Harbora, Minnesota, USA. Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you that I enjoy every minute of your podcasts. Thank you so much for the gift of your time, laughter and experience. Much appreciated. 🌻
Oh Ruth! I just LOVE your podcast… your wild cast on party was just the best! Thank you so much for your uplifting words and your transparency in sharing your faith and willingness to share about the joy of salvation. I look forward to your podcasts… from the beginning to the end and all the joy in between! Loretta ❤ North Dakota, USA
The perfect way to spend a Wednesday afternoon - knitting with Ruth! Thank you Ruth for a lovely time. ALL your projects are wonderful - finished and in progress. Kudos to Eva!! She is very talented. Her chicken is adorable, made with love, her Dad will treasure it.
My encouragement for you is no matter how long your podcast is regarding knitting, there will always be someone who needs to hear the last handful of minutes regarding our Lord. Today it was me. Thank you. And one of my favorite songs is "I could only imagine”. The movie was a tear jerker.
My goodness.....so many beautiful projects!! you are amazing. And your daughters chicken is just so adorable and her drawing is just so amazing.....She is so talented.
Amen! Gods promises are beautiful, trustworthy and faithful. I LOVE Mercy Me and that song. Thank you for sharing The Word, your yarny goodness and patterns.
I always enjoy the time spent with you, watching your podcast, from your “oops” that we giggle about because we’ve done it, too, to your heartfelt sharing about our Lord and Saviour. Ruth, may you continue your podcasts for many years to come because they bring such joy. God bless
I really enjoy your videos!! And who wouldn't want to see your works in progress? You are a beautiful knitter and a lovely person! And I also enjoy your accent! Hugs from Millville, Delaware! ❤
I had to laugh out loud. You kept saying you could not settle into anything and my brain said, "3 pairs of sock, sweater finished, 2 ho's and lots of other kitty goodness, I don't want to see what happens if she settles!!" The local yarn shop will need more wool !!! I am always amazed how much you get done Ruth. Amazing!!
Hi Ruth :) Thanks for another fun and lively video! I lived in Northern Ireland for a few years, so I love to hear your accent and expressions. Your gold jumper is just lovely!
I'm glad I'm not the only one "incapable of counting to eight". I couldn't even count to 6 on the latest cowl I finished. Thankfully the pattern was very forgiving. Your way of spending your daughter's shopping trip sounds perfect. My daughters are nearly 6 and 2 and a half, so unfortunately the only place I can relax for knitting is on the beach in a place too cold for them to go in the sea. Today I managed some crochet on the beach in peterhead 😊🧶💖
Hello Ruth, regards from Mauritius. Thank you for commenting the Teroldego Shawl. I have in short future plans to knit the shawl and the border situation is grate to know. Have wonderful knitting. Anna
It was great spending some time with you today. I love all of your knits and WIPS. The funny thing is that I am knitting the Teroldego shawl and I agree about the border. I restarted it 3 times and I have omitted the YO at the beginning and end of row and have replaced it with a KFB..it's a bit better but I figure you really won't see the border when it is worn. Your daughter is certainly an artist...that is a fabulous picture of her dad and the dogs...very talented young lady!
Thank you for a wonderful time knitting together with you, Ruth! Always a joy! And thank you for reminding us of our hope in the Lord! That's what has carried me through the good and the bad! God bless you and your family!
You podcast always makes my day. And you message always speaks to my heart. But today, when you read the lyrics to I Can Only Imagine, my heart sang. That is my favorite contemporary song. I get goose bumps every time I hear it. I wonder if we will meet at the knitting circle in heaven? I can only imagine...
I've put charity shop yarn in the freezer for a week or so in case it might have moth eggs. You might try this. I also do this with my own knitted items if I notice the flurry ones around. Love your podcast as usual Ruth. ❤
Another super vlog Ruth….I really do admire the way you finish so many projects…I’m not a ‘quick’ maker, even tho retired and lots of time to knit/crochet/sew..….it still seems to take an age to finish things….but I enjoy the process and that’s what counts!!….love all your makes and wips….and lovely that Eva crochets too!!…enjoyed your talk at the end too as recently lost my sister and found your words comforting…ty and take care..x x x 🥰
Love all of your knitting items. That was a wonderful devotional. I always look forward to them. Would love to hear them every day. God bless you Ruth.
I love your Podcast. I am going on the Knitting Train from Bern to Chur in Switzerland 24. 2. 24❤ it will be just the best day …… all the Knitting will get done😂
It has been so wonderful to catch up with you Ruth! I have a similar issue with my socks not matching sizes sometimes, even after knitting so many! Most of my issue is around my tension changing between socks, depending on how I’m feeling or what is happening in my life 🤷🏻♀️
I just love the Lady Whistledown Sweater on you! Both the yarn color and pattern are lovely! I was also very surprised how wonderful the grey, yellow and navy look in the Toledego shawl- stunning combination! I think Lent is a very special season- I look forward to the reflection time just as I do for advent. The Lego sunflowers 🌻 by your son are amazing!
Ah Ruth I have just finished watching you and you make my day. I am amazed at the amount of fo's and wips you have. Love your sweater it really suits you. All your knits are so nice and I'm sure all your gifts will be loved. Thank you for such a wonderful time and your thoughts at the end I really look forward to them. Look forward to the next one. God Bless.❤
As I watched and listened I stuffed and closed up my emotional support chicken that I will be gifting tomorrow so thank you for keeping me company Ruth.
Thanks for sharing your Joy Ruth. Knitting and in the Lord. I always get a bit of a buzz when you mention me. 🤭🫣. I wish I had seen the chicken and portrait before I saw Nigel!!😄 She is very talented. I’m doing the shawl KAL too. It’s lovely so far. ❤
Beautiful socks, beautiful sweater and cowl. And stunning sketch! I knit because i cant draw or paint.......and i got super excited when you said it was a long one! Love it and i only start and stop because i have too. My choice would be to enjoy it all in one go.
Yes Ruth! I feel like we are friends sitting and knitting together. I think I have been watching since the beginning and I enjoy it so much. I’m also a Christian. Have you seen Faith and Knitting? Blessings!
Ruth you are a ray of sunshine so it is entirely appropriate that yellow is your colour! Wonderful to see you again. Should you ever find yourself in Alberta Canada you are more than welcome to stay with us if visiting Canada is part of your Knitting around the World Tour. 😊
Good job Eva. Your Mom and Dad will feel every bit of love you put into each stitch for years to come. Your gray sweater looks beautiful Ruth. Good l😢uck with those bottom up sleeves. With all that work you should have T least gotten set-in sleeves. !!
❤❤ thanks ruth!!!!great to watch early his morning 🌄 Love all the socks!!!!!! Great eva loves them !!!so 👍 nice!!!! Great chat!! Congratulations to winners!!!! Elaine 💕🏠
Oh. My. Goodness. Eva is such an awesome artist! 😮 I love her drawing, and her chicken is so cute! 💞 I love the sweater you're wearing. You have beautiful projects. I'm keeping busy knitting doll clothes for my granddaughter's 18" dolls. I love how they get done so quickly. 😅 Thank you for sharing. ❤
Hello Ruth, thank you for bringing another ray of sunshine on a dreary, wet day - I’m in Cornwall, so expect that what I’ve got at the moment will be with you shortly! Like you, my favourite colour is yellow. So much of the yarn I use has at least an element of that in it. But what I wanted to say was, thank you for explaining how you have/are experiencing particular elements of your knitting - be it the pattern, the yarn or the person it is being made for. One thing I feel we all need to consider is the final use of the item so I really appreciate having your honest assessment of what you are knitting. Thank you. Have a good week and I will look toward to your next video.
Beautiful knits as always even incl the many socks on repeat Ruth , lol. Loved your podcast and you kept me company while I was baking and then cooking and subsequently whilst I ate my dinner as it was a solo one tonight .I always love your Scripture bit and today was just magic to my ears -I even went and looked the lyrics up and listened a couple of times , so beautifully said. Thank you .
Thank you Ruth for a lovely podcast with lots of gorgeous knits that I can’t choose a favourite. I totally get you feeling lost without your children. I grieved when my 3 finally left home. And i think it started before they left when all of a sudden they didn’t need me anymore. But the bright side now, is i am needed again as grandma. Nothing is more wonderful than your children’s children and i thank God i am lucky to be blessed with 5 little darlings. (Well most of the time 😉) xx
I absolutely ❤❤❤ your podcast!!! I never laughed so much while you explained your 🧦 saga!!! You are so entertaining & inspiring in your ❤ of knitting!! I ❤ your Scottish brogue!! Your Bible readings put a great end to this wonderful podcast!! Thank you from Iowa City, IA USA!! Linda
You are awesome Ruth, love your podcast. Menopause is eating my brain.... LOL! 😆Mercy Me is amazing, and you are so right, I Can Only Imagine is such an uplifting song. Thanks for sharing all you wonderful projects and oh my gosh, Eva's drawing was absolutely wonderful. She sure has a gift. Have a great week friend.

Yes Malabrigo sock is just 100% merino but not so good for socks without the nylon so they have come up with Ultimate Sock and it's a 75/25 merino nylon and is just as nice to knit with.
Oh my, where should I start ? All your projects are just gorgeous ! I love the mermaid coloured socks, and the autumn ones are lovely as well 🤩 Your sweater is wonderfull as well. I was thinking though, when knitting a raglan, would it be an option to just add some stitches for the arm part, from the start, so that there will be more room for musculair arms, or would that mess up the yoke part ? Anyway, your sleeves don't look too tight, so I guess it's not as bad as you feel like it is ? Wow, your daughter really is talented ! The chicken of course is just adorable, but that drawing... ! 😍 Does she have plans to go to art school ? Oh, and if you come to Europe, of course you'd be more than welcome to come around and knit and all ! And I do like Ecclesiastes. Every time I hear some of it, I feel like I should reread it...
I’m doing the Victoria Methodist Lent knit-along as well. I, too, was thinking my fabric was a little dense, but I am afraid I might not have enough so I’m using the smaller needles anyway. It will definitely be warm as I am knitting it in alpaca dk. Eva’s support chicken is perfect. And I do wonder if people really give you a hard time about having so many works in progress? I don’t understand why they would have an opinion or care. I am a product knitter, which probably keeps me from having many going at the same time, but neither do I have enough project bags for more …😂🧶
@@ruthlovestoknitpodcast go, girl! You are delightful so I don’t understand why anyone would give you a hard time about anything. Especially something as harmless as knitting and, particularly, since it is the topic of your podcast! You need content!
Oh my goodness. I'm part of that analytic that uses closed captions. But I just want you to know it's not you, it's me, LOL. I often have my 3 year old granddaughter in the afternoon when watching you. She loves your podcast and picks it from my list. The only drawback is that I literally have a tiny voice in my head most of the time. So I have to use the CC so that I can catch everything. Thank you for sharing and take care. ❤
Hi Ruth, I love your podcasts 😁 all your projects are beautiful. Does the fairy liquid make yarn softer?? I have a few finished shawls that are still too rustic for me even after blocking.
Ruth, what is “fairy liquid”that you recommended for soaking yarn that has lots of spinning oil? I just finished knitting an Emotional Support Chicken for my daughter-love it. Just have to get over the flu so I can deliver it. Your new gold sweater looks so lovely on you. So much knitting you have done-I am glad to hear that someone as experienced as you still makes mistakes along the way. I make so many mistakes and have been knitting over 65 years- lol-will I ever learn?

The only drawback is that I literally have a tiny voice in my head most of the time. So I have to use the CC so that I can catch everything. Thank you for sharing and take care. ❤
Please say hi to your Grand daughter x
Hi Ruth, I love your podcasts 😁 all your projects are beautiful. Does the fairy liquid make yarn softer?? I have a few finished shawls that are still too rustic for me even after blocking.
Think it removes any nasties. Havent noticed any softness. It is a very woolly wool.
@@ruthlovestoknitpodcast thanks Ruth
Please listen to Some Day by Blue Highway❤
Oh I will x
Ruth, what is “fairy liquid”that you recommended for soaking yarn that has lots of spinning oil? I just finished knitting an Emotional Support Chicken for my daughter-love it. Just have to get over the flu so I can deliver it. Your new gold sweater looks so lovely on you. So much knitting you have done-I am glad to hear that someone as experienced as you still makes mistakes along the way. I make so many mistakes and have been knitting over 65 years- lol-will I ever learn?
Fairy liquid is just washing up liquid. For washing you dishes
If you are in America Dawn Dishsoap would be good.
Ruth, you can stay at my house in the Washington, DC area!❤
Get the kettle on 🥰
