    Years ago I had my hair retwisted by a professional who twisted so tight that I experienced thinning in my temple-area. I combined those locs to reduce the thinning. Since then I've nurtured that area back to thick and strong roots and decided to reattach one of the locs I've previously cut off in that area. This video shows how I did it easily and seamlessly :)

    This is the Best Loc Reattachment video that I’ve seen thus far!! LocCrush, where are you in your journey now??? I have not seen an upload from you in a while. We Miss You!!!

      Totally agree. Loccrush's locs are absolutely, stunningly beautiful, without a shadow of a doubt. It would be great if she would consider updating us on where she is now on her loc journey, wouldn't it?

    Thank you so much!!! I used this technique to reattach a loc in the front and it worked so well! I’ve had stylists kind of dismiss me and not listen when I was saying what I wanted so I have to take care of myself because I know what my hair needs! Thank you!

    That lady had bad hands. I am watching different videos and I am see this over and over again. It just confirms to me, this is a spirtual journey and our hair is very sensitive to our own energy. When we allow other to touch our hair there energy might not be healthy which will begin to cause breakage in your hair.
    I am glad you repaired your beautiful sacred hair.
    Blessings to you.

    Your hair and spirit are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your gift of crown 👑 repair! My mom is loc'd. I've been natural my whole life, and am considering locs. They are so kind to our hair (when properly cared for) and are such a special token of patience. 💗

    Great job Sis :-)! What I really like is the threading technique because I can use it to pull in frizz that won't go in my locs. I was trying to do it with a crochet/latch hook style needle but it didn't work. Thanks for sharing!

    Wow, that’s the best method I have seen. I have had locks for 18 years and tried so many methods, but never seen this one. I have been trying to attached a new lock in the same place but been unsuccessful, I will now be trying this method. Your locks are beautiful by the way, I’m a new follower, and love you natural remedies. Thank you for sharing. 😊

    That is a great idea. I would use a latchook to pull the little piece back through the large loc so I won't have to use the thread. I'm going to try this

      MrsGar2016 I reattached a full head of my own locs that I cut off 3 years ago. Missed them so badly. I followed the techniques of some other you tubers but this video is a really good technique too! I would use a tiny crochet needle to push in the loose hairs instead of needle and thread.

    I love your vids. And I have loc envy! But I think this technique only works if your hair is of a texture that can be easily unravelled (mine can't). I reattach my own locs using a needle and thread (and the thread I use is close to my hair colour) I use about an inch overlay.

      I have a bag of old locs too. I cut them down when they get too long. After they grew over 50cm/20 inches, they became pretty heavy. I've cut them every 3 or 4 years

    Love this technique. It looks so secure. Will definitely use it if I ever lose a loc from the root or if I decide to cut off my locs and want them back. Question: How did you nourish your roots back to thick and strong? I think my hair is thinning at the front and want to do something before I start losing my locs.

    • @LocCrush
      @LocCrush  7 років тому +1

      Trudy-mae Burke Thank you 💛💛💛 The biggest thing that helped was to just focus on my scalp - keep it clean and nourished. I skipped retwisting for a while - went months. And just focused on new growth

    Oh my days!!! 😮🤔I've made a loc vid about how I reattach a Loc using thread it's uploading soon.
    However this method you've used is way better! Thanks so much Loc Crush for sharing I will try this method if I lose a whole loc. I can't believe how many spares you have! 😳
    Are those from double headed dragons that you've cut off or just locs that have broken?
    Do they ever sometimes fall off when you wash your locs?
    Sorry there I go with the questions again! 🙈😀. I'm just interested to know. Appreciate your vids..👍🏾👌🏾👏🏾😘❤️

    Too tight,youre weakening the hair follicle by retwisting too tight,too often. Thos will eventually cause your hair to start falling out with the follicle,thinning your hairline. Ive seen it time and time again with dreads,weAves,braids done too tight

    • @LocCrush
      @LocCrush  5 років тому +1

      john miller true for those who retwist tightly. I retwist very loosely or not at all and it’s lead to a full healthy set of locs at almost ten years now 💛💛💛

      @@LocCrush ,my issue is the opposite i never did maitenance and have semi freeform locks growing from not brushing,but somehow my dreads are still kinda thin at the root, and i got lots of loose hair. What would you recommend for my thin,straight hair 4 year old locks?
