    You are the sweetest. I have seen you answer the SAME question a zillion times. I don't know why people don't practice "scrolling". Smh. It's investigative research. It prevents looking lazy. Smh. Yes, Milky Way Afro Hair. Yes, Central Florida is where she is located. Yes, a few may fall out in the beginning, but can be reattached. Yes, 4-6 inches of your own hair needed. Yes, you too can try this at home. Yes, it takes a lot of time. Yes, it may not be for everyone - to each it's own. :) Love this tutorial.

    People gripe about the price of loc extensions and it is costly BUT after doing my own with synthetic locs just to practice...I get it. My fingers were torn up. Took me about a week to make 55 thick locs about 12inches long and then installing took two days because I had to go to work. The way my fingers and hands were cramping....I have 4c thick hair about 1.5inches long. It was WORK. Kudos to her for her dedication and technique! It’s more than a job/hobby to you and it shows

I had them cut off because they begin to fall out when I had a near aneurysm which resulted into a stroke. I had been growing my Locs for 10 years. I thought I had lost them but doing some spring cleaning I found them still safe and beautiful. I wish I knew this method I would have attached them this way. I braided them in though. If you look at the one video that I uploaded on my channel you can see them. You are such an inspiration thank you so much from a hair braider to another. Beautiful

I decided before I cut my hair I wanted to stay natural, and about a week ago I decided I will do just that by dreading my real hair permanently, so I decided on the lifestyle. But until then, I would like to do the extensions while my hair grows out from the cut. Could I do these Loc extensions on my 1 inch hair? Thank you very much! I did it myself. But the more you wet your hair, water will eventually pull down on the hair and they can or some can come out. I feel if you attach them higher to your locs they are more secure. This process takes a long time and whooooo boy my fingers hurt after doing this because that needle rubs consistently against the skin of your finger. But good job none the less.

    FABULOUS JOB!! Last night i cut my locs off of 4 years. Why? They were thin and i feel like the woman who did them, who I trusted because she had locs down her own back, did not do the proper loc to part ratio. So Saturday, tomorrow, I'm getting human hair braids and want to keep my hair braided for the next 3 or 4 years and possibly try locking my hair again, unless I can find someone who attaches locs the way you did because these are absolutely fabulous. I miss my locks already :-( but what happens as her hair starts to grow? Do you then cut the extensions little by little as her hair grows out until she's reached her that desired length to rock her own hair?

    Finally I've found someone who uses the same technique as I did on my own hair! Can I ask, do you have any issues with this technique taking longer for the natural hair to loc? I think some of my locs were started too thin at the roots. Any tips?

    Great video, my little brother really wants me to reinstall his locs, so I'm binge watching so I can learn the technique. I might try to loop method on my locs, but I feel like my new growth is way too long, do you think that it will work?

    i love this method.... what type of hair u used...i once had locks real nice to the shoulder but cut them because i was being rejected plenty for work and also being hassled plenty when travelling..but i miss them and want them back but do not want to go through the whole process again...

      Itiba Arnaud that's really sucks you had to Experience discrimination from your hair. times are changing and soon even Military will allow locs. it's in some cultures to loc the hair too. I want to try locs in my future i love how low maintenance they are.

      DXLYN locs 6 years so awesome! I had my first set almost 3 years and wanted bigger ones so cut them so this is set 2 here. okay so being as though you install loc extensions maybe you could answer my question. I had thin areas on my locs from previous breakage, i recently got the idea of wrapping the damaged areas with human kinky hair. I did not add length but strength lol. My question is will this hair eventually fuse to my natural? I'm hoping it does, filled those spots out very well.

    • @DXlocs
      @DXlocs  7 років тому

      Using the wrapping method it will not. The crochet method won't either but it will give the illusion that it has fused and look way more natural. It's what I use when I repair thinning locs

    My locs are natural; however I've been giving my hair a time out from re-locing and many have married and some are thinning. I'm thinking about cutting some of my married locs and using the spares as fill ins. I have almost 189 locks and started with 211 all natural. I think I may use this method.
