The day I click and the worst news turns true, those tears will fall and puddle in quantities only rivaled by the buckets of whiskey and beer that will be drank that day. I was listening to Johnny Cash before I could talk or even raise my head off a pillow. Thanks Dad, bringing me up right AND giving me a love of such wonderful, fun, true, heartwarming and heartbreaking tunes. A gift I can never repay. I miss Johnny damn near as much as I miss my dad.

I only worked with Johnny one time at the Carolina Country jamboree in Myrtle Beach, SC. I didn't work directly with Johnny but their crew was excellent. On another occasion in Bowling Green, Kentucky I was out doing sound with a three hit wonder named Starbuck and was having buffet breakfast at out Holiday Inn. Someone behind me asked, "May I join you?" I said yes without looking and Willie Nelson sat down. I knew Willie had played the county fair last night when we played the college but he was so down to earth and we talked more about concert tour catering and bus drivers than anything else.WHAT A CLASS ACT.
My son, and I worked a concession stand at a Willie Nelson Concert. We were hoping to see him on Stage, but we didn’t get to. He played at 9pm, and my son had to work early the next morning so we had to leave since we also lived a 1&1/2 away. We were so bummed, but we did purchase some T-Shirts, and Hats! Willie is a Legend, and I remember listening to him at Circle-T Restaurant I believe it was called on the scroll jukeboxes that were at every table. ✌🏻to Willie!!!!

Recusant BilE well you know he had a “rap” sheet as a younger man. “Mama tried” but it took mr Cash to inspire him to become popular musician and turn his life around.
I am missing Cash, and I am missing Merle, as well as Jones... Fact of life is Willie is the next to go but each are amazing and I just wish I could sit down and hear stories of life and the road from each of them.

@@scottfuller7059 Denial is normal. My son died in 2003, my dad in 2011 and my sister in 2012. We "know" they're gone, but don't want to believe it. Even though the only thing certain in life is death, you can never be prepared to lose someone. I think it's the "change" that is so difficult. Again, "The only constant in life is change" yet we humans have so much trouble adjusting to it. I wish life wasn't so damn complicated. I'm sorry for your loss. One step at a time, Sir.
