But the somewhat sad thing is Green and Kennison just missed out on the Super Bowl run. With Green getting replaced by Kurt Warner, and Kennison basically getting replaced by Torry Holt.
Ugh. Don't remind me. The rest of my family is Packers fans. My uncles came in and mobbed me as I was beyond belief and besides myself when the Cards, the fucking Cards, beat us in the final game of the 2003 season. What a mess.
no one cooler than randy moss not even marshawn lynch randy moss was a once in a lifetime player he didnt even try and still did good he moon packer fan in playoff game funniest moment in football ever
Williams did a good job for us, for the brief time he was there, or at least in retrospect, it seemed like a somewhat brief time, and Culpepper, was great for awhile, but from what I remember, he had just about every reconstructive surgery a man can have done to his knees and legs, last saw him years ago playing for the CFL.
I never quite understood why the Vikings didn't draft a great short to intermediate receiver before Burleson. Burleson was quite good as that possession guy ala Chris Carter, but why they didn't get another great receiver besides him, is beyond me. Moss alone doesn't cut it; you need a great short yardage receiver to open up the deep routes for a guy like Moss. A great short or intermediate receiver, or TE, would have made Moss even more effective then he way. Moss was at his most deadly when he had Carter or Wes Welker to keep the defenses honest. Can't just have one great receiver, gotta have at least two.
I never understood why the forced fumble play at 2:22 wasn’t called illegal touching. Cuz the Vikings player was running out of bounds and tipped ball back in bounds
We said the same thing with Adrian Peterson & now the same will happen with Jefferson, Thielan & Cook. There's always something on the team that holds them back or a weird play or 2 that kills them. All we can expect are NFC Title game appearances every 8-11 years & we'll lose in dramatic fashion or get blown out. It's quite predictable
Injuries, in fact was out for the entire playoff run in '04. Hung on for Tice's final season in '05, but at that point was more or less replaced by free agent signing Darren Sharper.
I was in Las Vegas watching this game. Went to pick up my niece for holidays. I was playing the $$$ slots, an attendant was peering around the machine. Ask if i wanted a drink, then I hear two clicks from the machine, look and I was $600 richer. Btw I only spent $4
It was funny that year we could beat good teams that year like Kansas City Denver Seattle and we beat Green Bay in Green Bay on opening Day but we could not beat bad teams that year like Arizona Chicago in Chicago NY.Gaints the Raiders and the Chargers funny team that year but the Vikings will take care of the Chargers today in that soccer stadium
Onterrio Smith was fantastic down the stretch that year, one of the most efficient running backs that year, lead all RBs by Football Outsiders metrics that year. Oh, what could have been...
There is like a 90% chance moss comes down with it whenever it's just lobbed out there..dude was amazing to watch.
Randy Moss, NFL Hall of Famer, respect ❤.
Randy Moss was just sickening!!!
Whoa, that Chiefs teams had a lot of Rams reuniting. Dick Vermiel, Eddie Kennison, Trent Green.
But the somewhat sad thing is Green and Kennison just missed out on the Super Bowl run. With Green getting replaced by Kurt Warner, and Kennison basically getting replaced by Torry Holt.
@@jayNicks10 Did Trent Green get a ring?
That reminds me of Bill Parcells having a lot of players follow him around. I remember the likes of Dave Meggett, Terry Glenn, and Keyshawn.
Damn. That Vikings offense was absolutely unstoppable. They really should’ve gone 11-5 that year. Should’ve won in Arizona and Chicago.
And Seattle
These early 2000 teams always had a bottom 25 defense. The offense was the only strong part of these teams
The problem was Red McCombs placed no investment to improving the defense, which was their weakness during the early 2000s.
I had this game on VHS.Moss was sick!🐐
I was there. The Dome was absolutely LIT!
This was the first Vikings game I ever attended, I don’t remember it since I was still a baby
INCREDIBLE ENERGY - THANKS! CMGUS
And then a week later they couldn't beat the damn Cardinals.
Ugh. Don't remind me. The rest of my family is Packers fans. My uncles came in and mobbed me as I was beyond belief and besides myself when the Cards, the fucking Cards, beat us in the final game of the 2003 season. What a mess.
On the final play, no less
7:07 foreshadowing
Beautiful!!!!
Beautiful!
Depressing to look Back at this game, knowing what happened one week later!
Ontarrio Smith was AWESOME and there isn't a highlight package of him anywhere on UA-cam. Shame.
I think this was around the time of the Randy Ratio.

I think they did try. We even tried to sign a bunch of "possession" reciever to compliment Moss, but it just never worked out.
Nate Burleson was a great receiver for the Vikings and Lions.. love to see that.. he's a stand up guy.
I never understood why the forced fumble play at 2:22 wasn’t called illegal touching. Cuz the Vikings player was running out of bounds and tipped ball back in bounds
Because the NFL were dipshits and didn't want add replays on turnovers because it takes up more time.
I remember those Jordan’s Randy Moss wore. I believe they were his own shoe
It amazes me how the vikings couldn't get to at least 1 super bowl with Randy Moss.
It doesn’t amaze me. Always found a way to piss it down our leg.

Nice to see Jimmy Kleinsasser get a TD after all his awesome blocking.
Wizzanater had a great game!
The AFROS Game
America's Finest Receivers On Sunday!
What a good chiefs team to beat to a pulp. So many hall of famers on their team that year
That was a butt kicking.
Can we revise history so that this is Super Bowl IV?
Imagine what his stats would be if he would of got the push off call and the td that was over turned!? Moss
I really think 93 should be retired for randle and maybe even for both randle and Kevin Williams
Tristan Helstrom yeah, 2 All-pro DT’s wearing the same number.
Pretty sure this game was a Saturday night game not Monday
Where did you get the highlights?
I made them. I have a copy of the entire game broadcast and I edited it down to a 10 minute highlight.
@@funkydunkleman Awesome. Love your channel, SKOL!!!
What happened with chavous? Disappeared after this season
Injuries, in fact was out for the entire playoff run in '04. Hung on for Tice's final season in '05, but at that point was more or less replaced by free agent signing Darren Sharper.
I remember this game but I didn't remember it being that much of a butt whooping.

how did one of these vikings teams not win a super bowl
@3:55 look at the whizzinator go!
You should do game winners and top 10 list
Holy shit I was at this game! Lol
Same. Great time! Thought we were poised to make a playoff run....but then....Nate f'ing Poole.
Same here. The dome was rocking!
Nobody is fuckin with randy in his prime. Not Rice, not T.0 not Julio Jones. Only guy that comes close is Megatron.
I'll take Cris Carter over all of em.
Randys rookie stats were better then anything Carter put up in his whole career.
Mike Tice was a better coach than he ever got credit for.

As many detractors will tell you... Moss was better than Rice; Holt; et. al
hell yeah! priest holmes had more touchdowns than randy moss!
Chiefs sure did a lot of celebrating for a team that lost by 25.
Dewayne bates!
Ontario was an incredible waste of talent
Onterrio "The Whizzinator" Smith.
All things considered, I've heard much worse nick name's lol
Onterrio Smith was fantastic down the stretch that year, one of the most efficient running backs that year, lead all RBs by Football Outsiders metrics that year.
Oh, what could have been...
Its really too bad. He was a very talented RB. Stupid weed laws. Stupid Onterrio. Stupid fake dicks. lol
