I realize that they now play in a beautiful stadium in US Bank Stadium, but seeing classic games like this, cant help but miss the Metrodome a little bit.
Skolney “Tampa Bay is a good football team, but Minnesota is a good football team too. My guess is whoever can score the most points will probably win the game.”
I kind of felt bad for him during the Vikings-Giants Monday night game the next season when he said: ‘I feel like a whore.’ I think he knew he wasn’t cut out to be an announcer.
Yeah, Denny Green let Jeff George go after he drug his feet on a contract for 2000, then recruited Marino, then Rick Mirer, and only after he was turned down by both did he give Culpepper the nod as the starter. I remember the MN columnists were ripping Green before the season for that decision but the Vikes had a good season and came within a game of the SB (albeit a horribly lopsided loss of a game)
They had so much dead money on their spending cap at the time, a big reason they let so many players go after '99. With that money saved Green then campaigned to get Marino. Dan said he VERY nearly accepted. But with his legs in such rough shape he thought twice.
Was at this game. So much fun.
Man I miss the BUCS / VIKES rivalry always epic games

I love seeing these random highlights of Viking games from my youth 😁
Keshaun had brutal hands. He tried to body catch everything when possible to hide his scissor hands.
Keyshawn..
Ah yes, the Dennis Miller era of MNF.

@@jayNicks10 Dennis Miller great comedic talent but just a horrible announcer. perfect definition of a "square peg" WTF was ABC thinking?

i remember liking miller fouts and michaels when i was little
The Booger McFarland of the early 2000s lol
I appreciate you always including highlights from the other team. I'm doing a video on former Buccaneers QB Shaun King and this helped me out
Glad I could help!
Incrediable run from Culpepper , be we were reminded always of those small hands 🙌 soon after . Time after time song intro ……
One of my fav games ever. My fav season ever. Great upload
Wait, Carter, Moss, and Marino? No way!

This game was crazy
The best part of Monday! What the hell was that at 7:34? Lol
I still got this game on VHS ima Bears Fan but my Grandma And Me Loved Moss 😂
Forgot the failed experiment that was Dennis Miller… brutal.
It's sad to see a Vikings great player finishing up their career with a different team.
I had totally forgotten that the Vikings tried to get Dan Marino to come out of retirement. I guess their faith in Daunte was a little shaky.

Few weeks later.. the Bucs whipped that azz 41-13 in Tampa
once the picture gets clearer you know some insane shit about to happen
God, I forgot how bad Dennis Miller was that 1 season.
Before that last play, why did the clock stop briefly after the sack?
Moss most yds in a game
First. Also great vids, maybe do some older less known Viking. Keep up the quality!
As always, from day one, the Vikings have a game won and have to hold on for dear life at the end.
What an exciting game!
What a play call by Dungy on 4th down!
This was an incredible game. I remember watching it at Damons Chapel Hill in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. I was exhausted after all of the action lol
No more moss Monday’s? 1999 Pack Vs Vikes at the dome should be next!!
Also, I remember being PISSED at denny green that he didn't go for it on 4th and goal from inside the 1 yard line toward the end of the game.
Nice clip!!
Who the hell is John Davis?
Was Andrew Glovers replacement, but later that season he was arrested for a DWI and later released.
Very loud crowd
What happened? No upload in over a month
Just was hit by a sudden wave of burnout, and also been really busy with other stuff. I'm hoping to get something finished in the next week or so!
Dungy lost way too many games like this. Couldn't win on the road
Culpepper was such an awesome QB. Too bad his knee blew out :/
How did Alstott miss Yoder??? Great game. Daunte's coming out party.
