New CV Axle Shaft from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AACV00419
This video shows you how to install a front driver's side CV axle on your 2007-2013 Mini Cooper. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2007 Mini Cooper
2008 Mini Cooper
2009 Mini Cooper
2010 Mini Cooper
2011 Mini Cooper
2012 Mini Cooper
2013 Mini Cooper

You left out the part where most axles that need replacing are rust welded into the knuckle requiring LOTS of (potentially damaging) hammering and or special tools. Very, very rarely is someone going to come across a clean, pristine, new looking axle and super easy removal like in this video.
These videos are well done and a great asset for us DIY'ers. That said, yall must do the repair and then go back and video it as I've yet to have parts come off as easily as in your videos. Makes me laugh every time the axel just slides off the knuckle with zero effort
Great Tutorial, as with the other side. Many Thanks.
Good video thank you for posting.
Thanx video helped a lot
It is not how. It is why that we need to know. Without pinpointing it is the problem, we don't want to waste $ changing parts. Clicking, torn boot are what they say always. In my case, whole car vibrates when over 60 mph (not when braking, accelerating, or deccelerating). I jacked up front driver wheel and turn off traction and ran the wheel fast and whole car shakes and could see the inner end of the axle swinging around. Decided to change it and big difference when side by side comparing with the new one, and no more vibration.
Love to see more troubleshooting videos.
And the "yanking it out" part is the most difficult especially for 95% of us without a lift. There is a plastic spacer blocking where u insert the "chicken feet" slide hammer. It is OK to break that spacer and discard it. I don't see it important. Replace the seal if u see it wet or while u are there.
Thank you
Should it be side to side play at the transmission side,? Looks like ut in the video at 4:40 . I can wiggle the cv joint on transmission side on my mini r55 and got lot side play ?
How do you recommend filling the trans fluid?
Why did u guys put the old one in? Lol
Who put the old one back in?
What about the passenger side
