Some late reaction, You should know that the concert almost had to be cancelled due to serious symptoms of Jukka's Insomnia, but as they say "the show must go on!". He drummed this entire concert like a let loose demon suffering a (real) ginormous migraine (you can see somewhere in the video he's laying on his drumset, afterwards he said he tought his head was going to explode), what a commitment!!! Do Kai is a real good drummer too, I'm still very blown away by Jukka and in my opinion he was the best they ever had. (Hannes Van Dahl, friend of..., drummer of sabaton AND husband of Floor, sayd once "If there is a drummer that can do it all, it's powerhouse Jukka!)

Tarja and Nightwish had outgrown each other, and the relationship of the fanbase towards Tarja vs. the band had grown to unhealthy proportions, worshipping Tarja like she was some kind of godess. And of course Tarja’s own behaviour inevitably caused great tension in the band. Her dismissal enabled Tuomas to hire a completely different singer, which enabled him to change the musical style. Just goes to show the diversity of skills in Nightwish without even including Floor in this song. Marco was awesome. Great cover!
Floor wasn't part of the band at that time.
This is the last concert featuring Tarja (End of an Era)
Can't wait to hear the cover. Kick some as Travis and SuzieQ!
I hope this is the only time I ever say this, but geez this version is better than the original. And I grew up with Floyd. Nightwish just seem to excel in making already awesome songs better.
The theme is the same by both versions and also the ground melody, but both are so different songs
Just saw Marco at the supermarket :D Was looking for some workout stuff :D
the best Version ist David Gilmour live in Gdansk " High Hopes"
They´re the only band I know which makes covers sound even better than the original 🤣(the original is great, but I just prefer Nightwish version more). I also love Over the hills and far away, Walking in the air, Phantom of the Opera of course... And they also covered "Wild Child" back in 2003 on some of their live concerts! It´s definitely worth watching (Live Norway 2003). I love the original version by W.A.S.P., but Marko and the guys did a great job on it, especially the last half is insanely good, I think they captured the spirit.
Dare we say they are the modern day Pink Floyd just with more edge??
I and many other fans think not🤪😂

I saw Jukka having groceries yesterday. Damn thats metal. 🤘
I am so sad that Marco has quit Nightwish. It will be almost impossible to fill his shoes
