This episode was absolutely amazing. Mental Health issues are really real... Love can be a frightening thing to accept!! Salute to MC Shan - QB and Hip Hop Legend!!
I’m 13 years old in 1980. I DJ’d my 1st house party that summer. By the time Shan and Marley dominated everything hip hop I was in absolute LOVE wit all of Shan’s music. I loved the KRS disrecord, but it didn’t take away from Shan’s greatness. This interview’s contribution to his legacy is so much more now I know how he found Snow. Snow’s stock is through the roof now I know his history. OMG Drink Champs did it again for the culture.❤️❤️❤️👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Snow and Shan are hilarious as a duo. These guys have stories for days and are funny as fuck. Their life stories are amazing too. Someone needs to make a movie about their journey!!!
100% there are old interviews of him on you tube where he talks about growing up in the projects, being known to police, his entire family was in and out of jail, his mom dated a mobster, he was originally a rock/heavy metal music lover. He watched his neighborhood change as Jamaican immigrants moved in and then later fell for reggae/dance hall after being introduced to it by a friends family. Snow is legit rare success story. He dropped out school real young and is illiterate. Talk about luck and making it in this world to level he has and not even being able to read.@@yankees29

I’m from LA , In 87” everybody was bumpin Mc Shan. He was ON!!! But it hurts me to see him looking like that on TV, I can’t do much but I do run a dental office and I can at least hook him up just enough to improve his smile just a little bit.
Damn Snow's story is epic! As a huge reggae/dancehall fanatic he's delivered some bona-fide classics! Shan is a LEGEND! Hope Shan and Snow make some new songs together SOON!! Snow needs to drop a new hard-core dancehall album!!
There's some more music he's put out. I really like this one from 2015. He's supposed to be working on an album now that will have some featured guests too. ua-cam.com/video/sduRzmNT4DI/v-deo.html
This is hands down the best Drink Champs episode. MC Shan has been defending himself for so long he couldn't grasp that he was being celebrated. Glad they were able to receive there flowers because guys like these contributed to the development of both Hip Hop & Dancehall.
Much respect to MC Shan. People tend to make artist larger than life itself and try to judge when their appearance doesn’t fit their expectations. Only God can judge him. I appreciate his honestly. He’s a solid brother. He keep it very real and had a good time with dudes that truly respect him as a person and a contributor to HipHop. Shan still worked the room like it was a stage though. Thank you Shan for what you’ve done for the culture. Much Love Respect to Drink Champs for providing this episode Big Up Ya’self Snow! A real DJ artist 🇯🇲Respect Bredda!! Up top!! Toronto’s finest
This is the most craziest show ever. I love it. Mc Shan was in my era of hip hop and is considered a true pioneer in the culture. The Drinks Champs best episode.
All props to M.C Shan. No matter the trials and costs or, pains of fame this Queensbridge Hip-Hop legend endured over the decades, never wavering self-honor nor compromised any sense of ethics to achieve what many men in human history seek. This man stood tall even when many venomously attempted to discredit a career or life's work, and has finally TODAY garnered the respect-due from his peers and lineage. May we all follow this directive, even if the roses arrive after our last days (30).
He's rejecting the love and validity because it means he needs to clean up and take responsibility. He doesn't want the attention on him. Love you MC SHAN! The culture needs you!! Cleanup!!
This was one of if not the best episode of drink champs I've ever seen and I've seen them all I remember when shan and snow came out I'm still a fan of them both as well as the intelligent hoodlum
Favs are The Bridge & Project Ho. I am almost 50, and been listening to hip hop since the beginning. I am still bumping MC Shan all these years later❤❤.
The fact that this doesn't have a million - 2 million views shows that a big part of Hip-Hop fans are not truly recognizing its legends - Shan was one of them guys, my dude. RESPEK!!!!
I have to give it up to MC Shan, he's before my time but I definitely have an appreciation for him. Definitely a legend...I definitely felt the moment when he teared up. The black community needs more of that, we are taught to be soldiers, warriors, it's dope to see us just be HUMAN. DMX was the one of the only other artist that could show that level of vulnerability.
From a the BRONX cat who went to high school down the block from Queensbridge during your hay day, I SALUTE YOU MC SHAN. You are truly LOVED my brother.
Just met him in macon,ga.. he seen us turnt up at the gas station and came over and turnt up with us,true legend big ups to mc shan.. the love was real.

This is definitely a great MC Shan and Snow interview 💯 Crazy how both of them saved each other to be in a better position in life. I've never knew MC Shan is a genuine comedian 💯
This brought me to tears, I've never heard of Shad, but I can feel his deep, deep pain. He takes great care to hide it, but it came out just for a moment a couple of times. Perhaps he has made some poor choices in life, and it hurts twice as much because of the great things he has been a part of. But fuck that shit I dont care how far down the scale i may go, I just want to make an impact on the people around me. Thats all that will remain after we die. Who we touched.
Drink Champs is one of a kind, unique, and rare, people. This show is a rollercoaster of emotions which is great therapy for the people being interviewed, the viewers, N.O,R.E., DJ EFN, and the people in the spot. Shan needed this. Trag is real one. Much respect King! When Shan said, Trag, I know you'll punch me in the face, but we'll be fighting," (paraphrasing) Trag was hurt by that statement because he loves Shan and respect the O.G. That's true!! More of the past legends need this also. #Salute

But it hurts me to see him looking like that on TV, I can’t do much but I do run a dental office and I can at least hook him up just enough to improve his smile just a little bit.
This is classic Drink Champs right here salute to the whole Queensbridge, MC Shan, Tragedy Khadafi, Nas and Nore.
Damn Snow's story is epic! As a huge reggae/dancehall fanatic he's delivered some bona-fide classics! Shan is a LEGEND! Hope Shan and Snow make some new songs together SOON!! Snow needs to drop a new hard-core dancehall album!!
I knew through the wires he was official
He still makes music u should hear the song Jack it up by him
@@shaquanthedon6184 a new Snow song?
There's some more music he's put out. I really like this one from 2015. He's supposed to be working on an album now that will have some featured guests too. ua-cam.com/video/sduRzmNT4DI/v-deo.html
@@silkeotd7194 yep I've heard it technically it's the 2nd version of that song shame since the first is from his 6th album two hands clapping
This is hands down the best Drink Champs episode. MC Shan has been defending himself for so long he couldn't grasp that he was being celebrated. Glad they were able to receive there flowers because guys like these contributed to the development of both Hip Hop & Dancehall.
I always loved Shan’s energy. Salute MC SHAN!!
Word
Now I’m crying. What an emotional roller coaster. Great ep guys.
😂 the culture!❤
Much respect to MC Shan. People tend to make artist larger than life itself and try to judge when their appearance doesn’t fit their expectations. Only God can judge him. I appreciate his honestly. He’s a solid brother. He keep it very real and had a good time with dudes that truly respect him as a person and a contributor to HipHop. Shan still worked the room like it was a stage though. Thank you Shan for what you’ve done for the culture. Much Love
Respect to Drink Champs for providing this episode
Big Up Ya’self Snow! A real DJ artist 🇯🇲Respect Bredda!! Up top!! Toronto’s finest
This is the most craziest show ever. I love it. Mc Shan was in my era of hip hop and is considered a true pioneer in the culture. The Drinks Champs best episode.
Omg Snow needs a movie or a series about his life, I definitely will watch it, loved this episode #mcShan
MC Shan's first 2 Albums are Bonified Classics.🎤🔥
facts
FACTS
And I still have both of them 💯💯💯
Born To Be Wild was and is my shit. I don't think it's a wack song on it.
NO DOUBT 🏆
Cleanup!!
Damn this is deep u Kay be on to something
SHOUT OUT TO SNOW FOR BEING YOURSELF AND YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE GAME!
He still that dude, told Trage "I probably wouldn't like you either". It got spicy for a minute.

Right! I loved when he said he was about that life back in the day. 57:00
I feel like Snow Trying too hard for no reason!
How many times he need to stress Jail and Gangsta... You loose interest after after a point!
Best Drink Champs I’ve seen to date! 2 hours in it, and I’m watching this til’ the end!! I’m down by law!!!
Same here and I agree
This was one of if not the best episode of drink champs I've ever seen and I've seen them all I remember when shan and snow came out I'm still a fan of them both as well as the intelligent hoodlum
Definitely Top 10 episodes. MC Shan real af
This was EPIC, SHAN needs his own show, co-hosted with SNOW.
Favs are The Bridge & Project Ho. I am almost 50, and been listening to hip hop since the beginning. I am still bumping MC Shan all these years later❤❤.
This one of the best drink champ episodes. Salute to Mc Shan, Nore, drink champs, Queensbridge, NY talk!
Snow too bro
Great
He took NORE off his square (Old dirty fashion)
Facts!!!!
Facts!!! The Mic Geronimo episode is my second favorite now....!!!! Both were very EMOTIONAL experiences and a lot of Hip Hop history was shared.
Bring rakim on daaaaamn it, respect to the best show or broadcast that i ever watch..thank you
This the best episode ever. The authentic hip hop heads always keep it 💯.
The fact that this doesn't have a million - 2 million views shows that a big part of Hip-Hop fans are not truly recognizing its legends - Shan was one of them guys, my dude. RESPEK!!!!
Views means nothing. When will y’all realize this
Forreal, shit is so cringe bringing that up..
Shan & Snow definitely need their own podcast
I agree they do they are hilarious 🔥
Thank you NORE for bringing MC SHAN to drink champs. Juice Crew All Stars
This episode is sooo chaotic 😂🤣😂😭😭it’s all over the place😂😭one of my favorites so far!!!
Shan is a dope ass dude, I tsk to dude all the time on IG. I really hope he starts touring again. Kane, KRS, all of them stay on the road
True Indeed
I’m so happy you guys stuck with letting that legend know how much is loved and appreciated this was amazing
From a the BRONX cat who went to high school down the block from Queensbridge during your hay day, I SALUTE YOU MC SHAN. You are truly LOVED my brother.
I'm over here dying at Shan not letting Trag explain how dope he is to him. LOL
That shyt was actually terrible
Damn Shan, let them show you love and give you your well deserved flowers!
Good to see Shan get his proper respect. Golden Era Giant 👑
Indeed I played his first tape to death!!
It’s the first Drink Champs I’ve watch from beginning to end. That episode means everything to a real Hip Hop head!
IM 45 FROM L.I.C. QUEENS AND THE BRIDGE IS MY ALL TIME BEST HIP HOP BEAT THEN AINT NO HALF STEPPING.MUCH LOVE TO SHAN 4 EVER
Just met him in macon,ga.. he seen us turnt up at the gas station and came over and turnt up with us,true legend big ups to mc shan.. the love was real.
Shan is the best interview Ever on Drink Champs,Him & Snow really do come across as Brothers
Drink champs is the best thing that happened to hip hop culture since yo mtv raps , for real !!! I'm enjoying every single episode !!!
Love mc shan for putting it straight that snow not drinking, from someone with a drink problem and been around people with drink problems, u need a friend to say nah he ain't drinking can he get a water. That's love!
I've watched this episode multiple times because "I love to hear the story again and again.." 😆
Best episode yet! Nore frustrated was so so funny. Shan’s stock went way up for me as funniest guest! Shan should have a seat on more episodes. Lmao
This the type of love we need in our black and brown communities
This is definitely a great MC Shan and Snow interview 💯
Crazy how both of them saved each other to be in a better position in life.
I've never knew MC Shan is a genuine comedian 💯
Yall should do an episode for snow, man would have so many stories
This brought me to tears, I've never heard of Shad, but I can feel his deep, deep pain. He takes great care to hide it, but it came out just for a moment a couple of times. Perhaps he has made some poor choices in life, and it hurts twice as much because of the great things he has been a part of. But fuck that shit I dont care how far down the scale i may go, I just want to make an impact on the people around me. Thats all that will remain after we die. Who we touched.
That's rite. It's about self love and forgiveness.
Krs really did a number on him, he lives rent free in his head... I'm happy he's showed love, felt like he's been waiting for this for years.
He still got new bars for KRS 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
To be fair krs still talks about him too...even on his episode of drink champs
@@blackcharles1726 because Shan called him out😅
Shan has that it factor
I love MC Shan’s attitude.. he is hilarious
Real shi. The dude is genuine.
This interview is everything. It's funny and serious all at the same time. They got me drankin' lol
#Salute
The legendary Darren aka SNOW
A very big fan of him this Irish
Brother definitely has a very
Unique voice....
Used to blast through my BOSE
