Drink Champs has become the New Saturday Morning Cartoons and Channel 5 Kung Fu channel all at once with a little touch of Soul Train.
AZ is still one of my most anticipated interviews ! N.O. we need that asap !
Definitely one of the better Drink Champs interviews. When the guest can match NORE's energy, it's always more entertaining.
We can clearly see where Ye gets his persona/shit talk from. It was like listening to Kanye talk but we know Consequence taught him 🙇🏾♂️
I don’t even know consequence and I could hear it and see it in like the first 30 mins.
Bull ish... I'm from Chi. Ye been like that since he was a shorty. This guy aint teach him ish. Facts!!!!💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I don’t know if I am hearing Kanye’s influence on Consequence OR if I am now realizing that all this time it’s Consequence’s influence on Kanye when Ye is on the podium! 💯🤷🏽♂️💯
It’s Consequence’s influence. Brothers from NY have a certain natural swag, the way they speak, etc. that is very recognizable.
It's Consequence's influence on Kanye. Cons was already out for almost a decade before Kanye, he ghostwrites for Kanye, and Kanye used to sound exactly like Consequence on all his early songs. Consequence was a huge influence on Kanye.
It’s all of Ye’s ghost writers for real. Ye didn’t write Jesus Walks neither. All of his religious overtones in certain songs come from his other ghost writer. 🤷🏽♂️
Homeboy couldn’t Over-talk consequence in this one 😆
Yea he need to tighten up his interviewing skills, he always bring it back to him some how!
@@denisestephanie6362 So true. Add Busta Rhymes to that list. It's a certain energy.
Let's get Lost Boyz on drink champs.
Easy to say but nobody knows exactly who's cool with who or past beefs. Lost Boyz had mad beefs that affected their music career. They are still my favorite group out of Queens after Mobb Deep. Onyx is on there too. 🙌
Cons has overcome and persevered through a lot in the business. So SALAAMS, SALUTE & MUCH RESPECT TO HIM💯
Consequence FINALLY getting is recognition. Glad to see him on Drink Champs.
This interview is way better then I expected shout out Consequence he def a real one in this industry no sugar coating
Agreed! I found his personality to be more refreshing than it was on love and hip hop. and does have a credible amazing catalog...he got respect from me
Cons is underrated, I remember him on that joint "Spaceships" from CollegeDropout. He definitely deserves his flowers 🏆💯
Consequence was around way before Spaceships. When him and Kanye got together, that was considered Consequence's "comeback"
Until very recently I actually always thought that was Kanye’s second part lol. Since 2003
Nore be having me i tears when he asks funny ass questions “did Run have the hat on?”-🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just pray GOD doesn't use Nore to spread the key to life! "GOD I hear what you're saying, but when did u think of turtles?" What!!!????
I can see how Cons and Ye can create together. They are birds of a feather. Shared passion.
Thank God EFN is a HUMBLE, great, human being bro.
Yes he does Consequence.....God does open doors for u when your intentions are good
I appreciate how articulate he is. Enjoyed the stories & resume. Flowers deserved.
I’ve been a consequence fan since I heard his verse on Kanye’s “spaceship” …dudes flow is too dope!
Mane!!!!....its my alarm song every morning i get up to hit my "slaveship".....
Mr LONG WINDED himself. I’ve been watching this interview for 2 days lol.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Yo you nailed it on the head! This dude is almost delusional about his hip hop importance
One thing I learned from this interview is “Queens get the Money!” Shout-out NYC Cons a legend
We need a:
"At the end of the day"
counter at the bottom of this screen on this episode 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Incredible interview. So many back stories. My mind is blown. Drink Champs is unfadeable!!
Don’t quit your day job has always been a great album to me. Especially ‘disperse’ but also ‘who know my luck would change’ and ‘the good the bad the ugly’.
@@TheDannylawson put my pride to the side go get a 9 to 5 cause living check to check the only way I can survive....cons had flow
10 things to quit for all Strong Men:
1. Caring about what others think
2. Not believing in yourself
3. Not experimenting different ideas / solutions for problems (life&business)
4. Not prioritizing your health
5. Wasting your precious time
6. Wanting something (instead write a plan and work towards it)
7. Chasing meaningless relationships
8. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat 🥩
9. Wasting time by scrolling social media
10. Nailbiting/nailpicking habit for good (if you do it - consider stopping it as it makes you mentally weak + affects your confidence and all other areas of your life!)
Take it easy and I hope you found one thing helpful in this list.
@MwanzaFitAlpha I appreciate the reminder my guy, but I found a bunch of helpful tips from your list. I would just like to add to your amazing positivity vibe some things u forgot to mention -- "Quit your addiction to Drugs and/or Alcohol" + "Pay attention to the warning signs in all aspects of life" For Example: new relationship, your feelings / mental health status / peace & serenity, fake homies, gold diggin' thotties, driving on the road, business propositions / transactions. Basically, stay focus & awareness is key! Blessings to all the Strong Men out here still thuggin, grindin', & working hard to provide a secure & comfortable life for themselves and their family, parents, children, real friends, neighbors, co-workers, business partners, mentors, coaches, elders, & can't neglect the less fortunates like homeless addicts veterans roaming our tough dirty city streets. Wow him on love and hip hop vs drink champs is like night and day.
Respect to Drink Champs. Didn’t know Con history in the culture was this elaborate.
Yes QU is the money mecca of hip-hop. Bronx invented it but We took it to another level
I'm about to listen to Grammy Family in honor of this man. Also, I'd love to be in the studio with Con and Ye to watch them cook. They mirror each other. 💯
Yes they do. Consequence definitely inspired KanYe sound back then, you can hear it clearly on kanyes first 3 albums
Y'all got to get Eminem on here, Andre 3000, Lauryn Hill, Common, MC Lyte, Latifah, Ludacris, Jay -Z, there's so many more. Black Thought, Mos Def I mean cats that was really doing it in the 90's. If you gone do R and B it's got to be Dru Hill,
Jagged Edge, Ginuwine, Missy, Brandy Monica, SWV, Xscape.
I don't know Em would be on here after he buried MGK remember he's under Diddy
Jay z won't come. He's too corporate for hip hop shit. Plus NYC always giving him excuses
@@joshuaevans5246that's what they say. But jay never shows up to end debates. Verzuz, drink champs. Jay a fraud and he isn't comfortable in hip hop environments lol. He scared, where u think drake learned his business tactics from
Didn't know the history of this man...that's y Drink Champs is so dope!!!! I can definitely see the mirror of Con & Yeezy.....who's reflection appears 1st isn't 4 me 2 say!
Much respect to Cons. He's well versed in his craft.
he has same cadence as Kanye. They have huge influences on each other. Great interview. Incredible MC
@Pierre Williams did you not readapt where i wrote that they are influences on each other? Does he not write/ did he not write for kanye?
@@wppdendoor1948 MASE AND CON IS KANYE BLUEPRINT PERIOD.. GLAD YALL FINALLY UNDERSTAND
Consequence and Ye be having the same type of outburst in their interviews. Hilarious.
This guy master the rap etiquette
Consequences givin' Fabulous vibes

Llyod Bank$

Pete Rock and CL Smooth
Missy Elliott
Queen Latifah
MC Lyte
Miss Lauryn Hill
Kool G Rap
Queen Bey
Lil Kim
The Firm (This has to happen)

Will Smith
Chris Rock
Mopreme Shakur
Suge Knight
Angie Stone

Roxanne Shante
Add to the list
Absolutely Kool G Rap. I think I would enjoy it more on Math Hoffa though. Either way KGR needs to be outside
CONS a underated heavy weight lyricist, top notch ghostwriter
Definitely and his flow is cold. He is the perfect rapper on paper but just doesn't have that "it" factor for mass appeal. It's like when people spits a cold verse from a album/ mixtape and it sounds better than the original. He made a career out of it. Sometimes ya shit sounds better through someone else.
@@iambounceback You're absolutely right. Consequence is a really dope rapper, but when he's by himself he comes across as just average. He was at his best when he had Kanye producing him. And not just making beats, I mean actually producing him as an artist. They brought out the best in each other when they worked together.
@@spek-27 Definitely! Kanye has evolved so much to stay relevant and it seems like Cons didn't evolve with him. I think he wants to reconnect with Ye to make magic again but Ye is not one to go backwards.
@@iambounceback Yeah, they definitely went in different directions. They're not close like how they used to be the "Konman Clique", but I don't think they ever really stopped being friends or anything like that. I think he was just doing his own thing for a while. Wasn't he on one of those love and hip hop reality shows? It's like Rhymefest, he's still in Kanye's inner circle. I think Cons and Rhymefest are just not in the tabloid TMZ world like Kanye is. They're still good though, Cons just put out a new song with Kanye a few weeks ago.
@@spek-27 yeah I didn’t like cons in that love and hip hop space but I think that him trying it out. Ima check for the new track I appreciate it!
S/o to drink champs ,, never expected con to be on here ❤️❤️💯💯👍🏽👍🏽💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Kanye IS Consequence LOOK @ the mannerisms, confidence, & energy. Yo this shit is crazy! They damn near the same person G! WTF? #Salute2Consequence&Yezzy
Listen to Consequence's Take Em To The Cleaners mixtape. Kanye is on almost every song and you can barely tell them apart. Kanye sounded exactly like Cons back then.
I never expected this guest! Absolutely epic and one of my faves so far
Underrated legend.
From this interview I see how much the old Kanye used is style as far as the interview and speaking. I'm glad bruh is getting his shine.
Just listening to him, Kanye got his whole swag from Con. They sound like twins😁
For real. If you listen to Cons and then listen to early Kanye records, Ye sounds exactly like him. On Consequence's Take Em To The Cleaners mixtape there's some songs on there where you can't even tell them apart.
Good bad ugly is my joint to this day I was going through a ruff patch when it came out bumped that song 24/7 for a month.now that life is stable and in A better place song still hits just as hard [classic] 🔥 consequence is a dope M.C 🙏
Yes!!! I love the two different versions. That’s when I truly fell in love with hip hop.
At the 30th "at the end of the day" I HAD to take a break and come back lol...Great interview btw!
This is why i watch Drink Champs!
Loved the interview!
Never knew Cons was this hilarious lol. Shouts out to Cons! Def deserves his Flowers
Actually was a perfecto interview!!!
I been telling the ppl,
Q-Tip vs. Mos Def
We need that for the culture maneee 🔥
@@artwxr Without Phife being there, there is no Tribe. And even so, Pharcyde don't have enough songs that average people would know to go against Tribe, and all the members of Pharcyde don't perform together anymore. You'd have only half of each group. So ATCQ or Pharcyde vs. anyone will never happen.
Nore gone do two things. ☝🏼 He gone take time to make the show about what he use to be ✌🏼 He gone cut you of, or try😂
First time I heard Cons, was on stressed out on tribe’s beats, rhymes, and life!!! Love Cons!!!
Has Drink Champs interviewed the owners of the infamous Tunnel? cause the stories from the place sound like a whole series
Jessica Rosenblum would be the one to interview about all that. Mecca was her party. That was her and Flex. But there's been a few different books and documentaries about Peter Gatien, and all the scandals that he was involved in.
I’m a hour in and no one took a shot! But Con talking like he lit 👀👀👀
Cons is the new TK Kirkland!! 😂😂🤣🤣My man is soooooo NY! Love it!! Good interview!!
I saw someone say something about this being Saturday cartoons, and that's real, I drive a truck and listen every Saturday, today for some reason it didn't pop up like it normally does so I watching it late, I feel this will be a slept on episode, as a man in his forties and liking tribe this is a good one, some good stories
Agreed…I listen to drink champs on the road all the time too , it helps the time go by and us entertaining for the most part 💯
Cons All Day
Great interview, I love it when a artist keeps it real
Yall keep Grinding and doing it big Top 5 Podcast for sure 💪👍👌😎🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍻🍻🍻🍻💨💨💨💨

Heard a while back that Grace Manuel was Bonita....
♊G💎MINI'S♊ Con's, Kanye, 2pac, My Dad, -😂THE EGO'S ARE ALWAYS ON 10😂
Cons and ye mannerisms are just a like when they talk lol
Damn no "quick time with slime"? Still a very entertaining interview, but please don't lose that game. It's a great part of the show.
This episode is better than I was expecting
As a die hard Tribe fan I used to hate Cons when he appeared out of nowhere on Beats, Rhymes, and Life album. I was like who is this dude and he messing up tribes chemistry. Once I heard take ‘em to the cleaners years later con’s won me over as a fan. Now when I go back and listen to Beats, Rhymes, and Life i appreciate it a lot more. It took awhile for me to open up to Cons as a tribe member since he wasn’t there in the beginning.
I felt the same exact way. I still remember buying Beats, Rhymes, & Life right when it came out and being so disappointed. Then a couple years later I started hearing Cons on a lot of different independent / underground 12"s that were really good. The Lone Ranger record with Q-Tip, the High Drama record with Mike Zoot and Mos Def, some stuff with Rawkus. I became a big fan after hearing those records. And then Take Em To The Cleaners , A Tribe Called Quence, and Don't Quit Your Day Job were all dope projects. After that I grew to really appreciate the Beats, Rhymes, & Life album.
Awesome interview!!! Ya'll need to get Red Cafe on here too
I’m dying at the mentor ship convo 🤣
One of the best story tellers of all time great interview
Crazy how him nore and 50 cent did a freestyle back before they was really on. I think you can still find it on youtube.
Respect my brotha. Im been in the game since the early 80s

Oh Shit Yoooo Rev Run DEFINITELY have to do a “Drink Champs” Episode ‼️
@@shanellep I’ve Been Watching Drink Champs For Awhile now…. They did plenty of interviews with people who don’t drink and smoke it. The drinking and smoking is to make you more comfortable but the interview itself is what’s needed the legacy that was built the flowers being given to you and the hardships and trials you faced coming along the way at least some of them
@@nasirballa5901 But they be drinking and smoking still. Not to sure the Rev wants to be in that environment.
Good episode n conversation that you guys forgot about quick time with slime lol
Great interview
I would pay money to see a conversation between Consequence and Kanye. Those dudes are definitely brothers. At time he even sounds like Kanye. Queens still gets the money!!!
Great interview drink champs! I didn’t get nice cuz main man not drinkin that’s kool it Tuesday but yo set that battle up!!! Love!!!!!
Was justt listening to this on Spotify.. had to come watch the video.. shii seemed tooo interesting🤣🎯.. bro got a legendary track record and resume.. he legendary fr🔥🔥🎯

Good episode now we need Slick Rick on immediately please
Interview was definitely better than I expected 🔥
Verzuz against pump it up had me dying 😂
Classic stories
Kanye took his whole style Damnnnn
Fun fact: Cons is one of many rappers that smacked Joe Buddens.
good interview
it was the “Diana Ross” remark that sent me spiraling 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😩😩😩😩😩
Cons is a pivotal figure to the history of hip hop. You can tell he and Kanye have super similar style, swag, persona. You can tell Ye is influenced by Cons which is cool because we all borrow styles. Cons honesty and historical account is unmatched. In this interview he puts everything in the game into perspective. Salute to you fam. This episode is a classic!

Just a question , you think kanye based his personality off consequence ?
