This song ,as well as woman(reading), are two of the best songs La Dispute have ever done, which for a band with a near flawless discography is quite flippin' impressive.
Fuck, how this song describes love in the most realistic way possible, it's so pure, so authentic. Just straightly touches my heart and makes me cry a lot.
I like to think that when I listen to this song, I have a certain connection with those who feel something deep for this tune. We can feel the loneliness but thinking about other people listening to this gives me relief.
THIS WAS OUT 10 years ago and i finally feel better about being an adult. Just keep going have faith in Christ and live peacefully and mercifully with all men
I’ve also been listening to this song for years and I always come back to it & hits the same like I’ve first heard it. Idk why, but it slightly helps me through breaks ups.
everytime he says "tiny dots on an endless timeline" i become painfully aware of our short life span and the insignificance of our lives compared to the rest of time, but at the same time I'm more than happy to own and have been a part of my own bundle of tiny dots on this endless timeline.
I just feel so perplexed listening to this album, it's something I want to listen to while taking a really long car trip somewhere towards are sunset that doesn't have sunlight but blue-gray clouds
Yeah, this is one of those albums that will help a person find themselves. Their last album had that effect on me. I know that sounds cheesy but you know what I mean.
This whole album brings back memories of being fifteen and lonely as heck. My family was going through rough times and all I used to do was play Skate 3 and listen to this songs. I'm 23 now and everytime I listen to any song of this album I immediatly find myself in my room as it was back then, with fresh wounds on my arm, yet everything seemed more calm than things are now.
Are we in any way doubting that this is one of the best bands earth ever gave us? Wonderful music, great words, and now with the artful videos too. Took a while for rock'n'roll to get this good...
"There are moments here, only yours and mine. Tiny dots on an endless timeline." You guys are amazing. Thank you for your beautiful contributions to the world. This song out me in an especially calm place and I so greatly appreciate it.
We used to listen to this. It was just one of her favorite songs, but I don't think she understood how the lyrics told our story so perfectly through my eyes.
Calming and soothing. I usually don't like love songs but this one isn't cheesy at all. It sounds so authentic and honest... wonderful. "Move your hip slightly in We say nothing then out loud and that's what feels the most profound" is my favourite line...
La Dispute is my favorite band that I have to be in a specific mood for. It's like I'm at all times aware of the existential crises, wonders, and unanswered questions that life presents to me even on my most unconcious days but once in a while, when I'm not trying so hard to have a good time or too focused on reaching some arbitrary milestone, I'll actually stop dodging those thought trains and let myself think. La Dispute's music is a catalyst for those moments.
It's crazy to think, now 6 years later, that the time they spent in this place recording this album. Which has turned into a masterpiece in my opinion after having time understanding the tonal shift. That those moments are now tiny dots on an endless timeline, and so much more relatable with this album centered almost entirely on one place but at the same time about every place that's ever existed. Including the people that lived in them ❤️
as much as i prefer wildlife and somewhere at the bottom of the river to rooms of the house, this album is a fucking masterpiece. esp with these videos. everything sounds so immaculately put together.
I just can't shake the feelings the album is about Palace of Mind. Describing memories just like the idea of such Palace such work. It's an outstanding album, lovers, great job. An art is sometimes worth the depression.
I used to take walks at night by myself all the time. I think I'll take one tonight, thanks for reminding me. I think I know what I'll be listening to as well. Thank you
Ending but also a start.. That is the beauty of life. We are always starting new if you think about it, Start.. end.. start.. end.. new cycles.. I’m happy to know that I’m on this journey with You my love.
I feel bad that 1 person probably heard this song out of the context of the album and not knowing anything else about this band made the hasty decision to hit the dislike button and at the same time probably marked it down mentally as a group not to check out again. I hope I'm wrong!
You are so amazing I love this song I love the words it write them down all the time I love you so much I hope you come to Va so I can see you this is a amazing a song and the lyrics are perfection I just made a account so I could comment on this I love your album and I have all your songs and oh my lord Jordan Dreyer you are one of the reasons I'm not completely insane I know you will probably read this but all the same I love you and the whole band I love your songs I love the lyrics I love the background videos I love the guitar I love the drums I love everything about la dispute so thank you for being here
Does anyone know the name of the bird that is calling at the end of the video? I hear this bird in my yard all the time and I can’t seem to figure out which it is
Absolutely in love with La dispute, I don't think that could ever change. Thank you for always speaking my thoughts through lyrics and always being here for me without even knowing you are.
Amazing album and song. Gave some of their new music a try after not hearing anything but at the bottom of the river Vega album. Don't too much care for tiny dots. The album made me feel very strongly which is good but I was very sad lol
I'm an avid mewithoutyou fan and always will be but damn, to hell with the haters who hate ladispute for being so "emo" or "whiney:" They do not understand truedom.
How many years have you been listening to la dispute for? I remember watching your videos years ago and hearing you talk about la dispute, it’s actually how I heard about them, so thank you I guess

woman (reading) is so freaking powerful
Woman (reading) fucking hurts my soul, it’s so good.
I'm tattooing these lyrics to my body. I think everyone will agree with me when I say La Dispute is a beautifully poetic band.
Fuck, how this song describes love in the most realistic way possible, it's so pure, so authentic. Just straightly touches my heart and makes me cry a lot.
I feel so lonely, no matter how many people are around me or how many friends I have. This song makes me crave a deep connection with someone
I entirely relate to you. Hopefully, we're all gonna make it
Never despair.
I like to think that when I listen to this song, I have a certain connection with those who feel something deep for this tune. We can feel the loneliness but thinking about other people listening to this gives me relief.

your comment really hit me hard
You might enjoy My Arm is a Timeline by boyinaband if you haven't watched it. Kinda similar, but a little more philosophical.

Gotta be my favorite one from the album
I finally remembered this song... i'm so amazed by the lyrics that now i can understand.
I was struggling to 'get' La Dispute then I heard this and it all made sense. Perfect.
Woman (Reading) did that for me. Then I heard this one and it all grew from there.
For anyone wondering the bird song at the end is one of a white-throated sparrow

Holy shit the chills on my neck right now. I relate to this so fucking much.
I read this comment about two years ago, thinking the same thing. I’m glad it’s still here, and I hope you are too.
Baylee Chance I’m still here, as much as I sometimes wish I wasn’t. We should be, we have to be. Glad you’re still here too. Healing ❤️
Calming and soothing. I usually don't like love songs but this one isn't cheesy at all. It sounds so authentic and honest... wonderful.

Saw them tonight in Houston and they played this song!!! It was an amazing experience.

This gives me hope for modern music.
this and andria are by far my favorite songs!!
They're all sui generis! Although for me woman(reading), frist reaction after falling through space and objects in space are mine :3
as much as i prefer wildlife and somewhere at the bottom of the river to rooms of the house, this album is a fucking masterpiece. esp with these videos. everything sounds so immaculately put together.

I just can't shake the feelings the album is about Palace of Mind. Describing memories just like the idea of such Palace such work. It's an outstanding album, lovers, great job. An art is sometimes worth the depression.

The way this song sounds reminds me of a old wooden picket fence with some moss on it
I want to be listening to this song when I die
Just found this group...and...this sh*t is freakin' amazing!
Goddamn, so many goosebumps from the album.
This song has literally the most perfect instrumental I have ever heard. Every time I hear it I know I'm in for a journey
There is someone talking in the background starting around 2:10 very faint and I can't make it out.
southpaw3687 now I hear it too!

I feel bad that 1 person probably heard this song out of the context of the album and not knowing anything else about this band made the hasty decision to hit the dislike button and at the same time probably marked it down mentally as a group not to check out again. I hope I'm wrong!

How does this have less than 500K views when I’ve listened to it 10K times on my own library??? I know I can’t be the only one
Always makes me wonder buy where do they get this type of film like this? It perfectly goes with the song
Does anyone know the name of the bird that is calling at the end of the video? I hear this bird in my yard all the time and I can’t seem to figure out which it is
You guys preformed so amazingly last night at the Neptune. I love
oh hey that's awesome!!
Why is this song so different from the rest of the album? The other songs are good but this one is so unique
drumming is so tight
simply the best!
Absolutely in love with La dispute, I don't think that could ever change. Thank you for always speaking my thoughts through lyrics and always being here for me without even knowing you are.
