Arctic foxes aren't that much different from the regular foxes. However their adaptations are extremely amazing. Their size is truly amazing for survival.
There’s also a sand morph that is very beautiful. Not sure if they are on Svalbard though, but they can be found in the Scandinavian mountains (Norway and Sweden).
Thank you for this beautiful ten-minute "escape"! You do such a wonderful job of taking us with you on your amazing adventures. I want to cuddle those adorable cubs, but I don't feel like having my fingers chewed off!
Bellísimo video, cuanto se aprende de tu arduo trabajo, tenemos la facilidad de poder gozar de la vida salvaje, sin necesidad de ir al sitio o lugar. Gracias , Robert .......gracias infinitas.....!!!
Saw a film where in some parts Arctic foxes are in trouble due to global warming, the stronger bigger red fox is encroaching on their territories and are out competing them for food. Think it was an Attenborough film.
These things are all over the place in Manitoba. I once walked past a trash bin at a work camp that had 4 of these little guys inside it. Four little faces looked over to me, before they went back to eating garbage.
The Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus) is a small dog native to the polar regions of Eurasia and North America, it known for its ability to seasonally change the color of its fur coat, in fall and winter it is white, while in spring and summer, it is blackish brown, it is one of the four extant species constituting the genus Alopex, the others are the Corsac Fox (Alopex corsac), the Swift Fox (Alopex velox), and the Kit Fox (Alopex macrotis), the former is its closest living relative as the corsac fox is very similar to the arctic fox.

Yes I saw that I think it was in Canada
There is no chance they get to Svalbard though because it’s a island
This is happening in the Swedish mountains. The red fox is encroaching and outcompeting the arctic fox due to climate change.
Thank you Robert for another delightful video top work!

Foxes really do split the difference between cats and dogs.

Am I the only viewer who would appreciate descriptions of odour and textures the camera cannot translate?
