All foxes are so beautiful, but the Arctic stand out even in that crowd, to my mind. The wild ones, that is. Fennec foxes take the price for sheer cuteness.
Yeah, the real arctic foxes are not fat at all. The are real good jumpers too. 20 feet is no problem for them. I doubt fatso can jump more then a few feet.
My Kayla, you are a magical person and a dynamic fox advocate! I learned a lot from your discussion of the kinds of foxes. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your life with these marvelous foxes with us!!!! I watch them every night before I go to bed and hope I can dream of foxes.
My family is part of Animals in distress association and we take care of foxes and squirrels, we release our foxes in this large area surrounding a water treatment facility where they are protected. The treatment plant loves them there because they provide an extra level of security against mice and other rodents getting into the water systems. They have all the food they need as well as all the clean water, and it's in city limits where they're protected, but also away from people so they aren't bothered. It's cool to see how they benefit my community by helping keep our water clean :) I love foxes, they are such a sight to see! Especially seeing them hunt in the snow. Their little dive bomb😂 love what you do for these guys!

@Steef S I won't say I'm an atheist because I don't refuse the possibility of the existence of something greater than us.. However, I don't follow the writings of humans 1000s of years ago either. Just through my own experience, a life without a bit of chaos, risk, and desire of some sort, is a stale life that might as well not exist. Hence why I don't mind the concept of hell, as opposed to heaven. I don't see them as good vs evil, but rather as counterwight balances that allow each other to exist in a form of harmony. Predictability is my enemy, and the idea of heaven is predictable to me. So I'd rather venture into the place that most people are scared of, and live life for my own reasons rather than the path others have laid.
@@user-ff7fs4sj7r oh no i love the foxes, I just think some of these people commenting are funny. Everyone now wants to get a fox but I bet they only care cause they're "cute". Imo you should get an animal because of the companionship, not just because it looks cute. Plenty of kids/people do this with other animals like dogs and cats, and then once they get tired of them they get abandoned or neglected. I would hate to see this trend happen with these lovely foxes.

*Mikayla:* describes the foxes with their scientific names, their habits, and traits *Me throughout the entire video:* Foxx Foxington - obviously the fancy rich kid. With his expensive thick coat and monocle. Thinking he's the smartest and is definitely better than everyone else. I can hear that English accent in his voice. "Commoner! (Mikayla) Why do you keep offering me unedible sausages? (Fingers) No wait. Don't talk to me." Winter - the kid who usually misses his classes cause he wakes up late and has no clue of what's going on most of the time. "Huh? What's happening? ...Oh hello, Lady!" Francesca - Winter's friend who easily gets distracted in the back, admiring flowers and things like that. Great at finding things. She gets distracted but it's because her senses are more heightened compared to the others. "Oh! What's this over here! And that one over there! I found it!!!" Muttias - that friendly but also shy student who is really nice but is only really happy and expressive to that one person whom he sees as his truest and closest friend (Mikayla). "Lady! Lady! Watcha got today?" Vixie - the book smart kid. Straight A student. Perfect attendance and well behaved. Gets overly excited when something trivial is asked cause she knows the answer. Other classmates copy off her homework. Secretly has a crush on Finnegan. "Oh! I know what that is! :D" Finnegan - the street smart kid and the popular school heartthrob. Not everyone says it but everyone wants to be noticed by him (Lucky Mikayla). Is friends with Muttias and Vixie and is always the first one to copy Vixie's homework. Very active and knows he is handsome so he uses his charm to get what he wants. "Oh the camera is on? Hi everyone!" Nikita: that 'foxy' ladeh (no pun intended). The most popular girl in school. Finnegan has a crush on her (poor Vixie) but he could only hope that she would notice him. All the guys wanna be with her and the girls want to be her (except for Vixie >.> "What's so great about her?") She is basically perfect.
We have quite a few rescue foxes(red) where I volunteer, my favourites are named Frank and Rigsby. They are incredibly smart (and sometimes not) animals. Ours have very large enclosures that mimic their natural habitat, they run and frolic all day and night it seems. I can't imagine having one inside of a house like some people do. We just had a litter of 4 kits brought to us a few days ago, I'm on the rotation for bottle feeding and it's one of the best (and tiring)experiences I've ever had 😁
steph Some domestic foxes do prefer being inside, but it’s not too common. Fox rescues and sanctuaries (at least from the ones I’ve seen on Instagram) tend to have connected indoor and outdoor areas, where they can go as they please.
Dead Sea Studios that would be the best of both worlds. Let them come in if they want to, but give free access to an enclosure. We rescued one last year(a heavily pregnant vixen) from an apartment. The owner did her best, but foxes should not be confined inside for their whole lives, especially in an apartment
Also his leg and spine structure has altered from selective breeding and generations after generations of his ancestors growing up in 3×3×2ft cages. Wild arctic foxes are not that clumsy and disfigured-looking but actually as agile and swift as Red Foxes (see Finnegan for reference)
A beautiful red fox used to live in my pasture in an old oak stump. He never bothered my sheep and my Pyrenees ignored him. He was interesting to watch.
There's still people out there that want to have real fox fur, so an illegal market has managed to exist. Plus there's a big market for it in countries where it isn't illegal, so people can still find buyers by exporting the furs to those places. Then there's the people who'd want such fur because it's illegal and so rarer. It's horrible that it still goes on like this despite all the work to stop it and unfortunately some of these people will always find some way to keep doing it
@@dragonhunter8807 You can get wool without hurting the sheep at all and with the commercial sheep breed it's actually often necessary because they can't shed the wool themselves. Leather is a bit controversial depending on who you ask, as a cow is usually killed for its meat anyway. Throwing the hide away just wouldn't make a lot of sense. Feathers are actually very controversial depending on how they are harvested. Some farms collect them when the chicks shed their coat anyway, some after they are slaughtered for their meat and again on other farms they just get ripped out while they are alive. Ducks and gooses usually don't die from it though (and will get their feathers ripped multiple times) but during these sessions it's not uncommon for the animal to get injured as well like torn skin or fractured bones. The difference between all of those and fur however is that it's not uncommon (probably usual) to completely skin the animals alive, which is just cruel. They are then discarded and left to die a horrible death.

*Mikayla:* describes the foxes with their scientific names, their habits, and traits
*Me throughout the entire video:*
Foxx Foxington - obviously the fancy rich kid. With his expensive thick coat and monocle. Thinking he's the smartest and is definitely better than everyone else. I can hear that English accent in his voice. "Commoner! (Mikayla) Why do you keep offering me unedible sausages? (Fingers) No wait. Don't talk to me."
Winter - the kid who usually misses his classes cause he wakes up late and has no clue of what's going on most of the time. "Huh? What's happening? ...Oh hello, Lady!"
Francesca - Winter's friend who easily gets distracted in the back, admiring flowers and things like that. Great at finding things. She gets distracted but it's because her senses are more heightened compared to the others. "Oh! What's this over here! And that one over there! I found it!!!"
Muttias - that friendly but also shy student who is really nice but is only really happy and expressive to that one person whom he sees as his truest and closest friend (Mikayla). "Lady! Lady! Watcha got today?"
Vixie - the book smart kid. Straight A student. Perfect attendance and well behaved. Gets overly excited when something trivial is asked cause she knows the answer. Other classmates copy off her homework. Secretly has a crush on Finnegan. "Oh! I know what that is! :D"
Finnegan - the street smart kid and the popular school heartthrob. Not everyone says it but everyone wants to be noticed by him (Lucky Mikayla). Is friends with Muttias and Vixie and is always the first one to copy Vixie's homework. Very active and knows he is handsome so he uses his charm to get what he wants. "Oh the camera is on? Hi everyone!"
Nikita: that 'foxy' ladeh (no pun intended). The most popular girl in school. Finnegan has a crush on her (poor Vixie) but he could only hope that she would notice him. All the guys wanna be with her and the girls want to be her (except for Vixie >.> "What's so great about her?") She is basically perfect.

Fox bites her than gives her a high five
Then bites her again
Metro Inc I mean... my chihuahua does the same exact thing. I recognized it instantly when it would lick her hand right after.
my neighbours cat also constantly "play bites" me, it's a good thing i have a high pain tolerance cause he sometimes get's carried away while we play
My cat does that as well, biting then licking.
It is common for cats to do the bite lick thing, but, anecdotally, it is much less common for dogs to do.
Awe so beautiful ! Thank you for rescuing! Amen.
Mikayla thank you for all comfort you bring to these foxes. As well as being a great human being you're a a damn good teacher as well.
The Artic Fox is SOOOOOO fluffy, I want to hug it.
You are an amazing , beautiful human being inside and out. I can't imagine a more fulfilling life than working with and saving such gorgeous creatures

These fix frens look so very huggable. I hope you can hug them.
I honestly thought that any form of clothing with fox fur was declared illegal, it breaks my heart to know that that industry still exists.
U tube has plenty fox farm vids. Very depressing.
There's still people out there that want to have real fox fur, so an illegal market has managed to exist. Plus there's a big market for it in countries where it isn't illegal, so people can still find buyers by exporting the furs to those places. Then there's the people who'd want such fur because it's illegal and so rarer. It's horrible that it still goes on like this despite all the work to stop it and unfortunately some of these people will always find some way to keep doing it
@@HarleyHerbert - May there be a place for this type of people in hell.
i dont see a difference to leather from cows, sheep with wool on it, feathers from different birds and so on.
Finnegan’s smile while being groomed is priceless. Thank you for all your hard work and constantly providing viewers with new videos.

Arctic Foxes in the wild are grey/brown in the Spring/Summer and turn white in late Autumn. They are not white year-around.
The color of mr. Foxie Foxington is close to the "summer coat" of Arctic Fox, maybe slightly blondier but that captive/farmed variation is bred the way they stay in that same color year-around. Maybe turn a little palier in the Autumn but not white.
