    I think a DISCLAIMER is needed, about opening a power supply, capacitors can hold charge for a long time if not properly discharged which can seriously injure or even be fatal if touched

      This isnt a tutorial video, so I assume people wont follow it especially since I dont show the entire process, but to be on the safe side ill add them in the future.

      Definitely needs a disclaimer. People could really get hurt opening their power supply. I’m sure a lot of younger children watch this channel and would be tempted to do so.

    • @Dawelio
      @Dawelio Місяць тому +4

      @@TechSource I would think that there are people out there watching a respectable and big channel like yours, seeing you opening it up and so on, makes them think it's essentially safe etc. Hence not knowing the potential dangers of doing so... Should never assume anything when it comes to people, especially when it literally involves potential injuries or even death.

      can i use thermal paste that i used in cpu

    • @TheGameBench
      @TheGameBench 21 день тому +2

      @@chirayu781 Sure. I suggest using the spread method to ensure that you have even coverage on the GPU die. When you're securing the heatsink back down, just be sure to do a couple of turns on each screw, one by one, until you secure it down. This makes sure that the cooler seats on the die at an even level. If you just screw down one screw all the way and move on to the next, you can pump the thermal paste to one side creating a hot spot.

    Hey ED I think its very smart you are bringing your truck to test the components, I know some are easier than others to test, but better safe than sorry. Also always meet at a public place (which it seems your doing) and I advise against meeting at night. Also a tip I learned while flipping this is to lowball a person, and if they reject, then likely the part works and you may not even need to test it (of course still test to be 100% sure). I also ask them before purchasing if its okay to test and if they say yes then thats another green flag they are not scammers.

    1st buy: opens up the case but doesnt check for bended motherboard pins - ends up with bended pins
    2nd buy: eye checks video cards - calls all good
    3rd buy: no eye check here brings the entire pc to check the gpu - forgets monitor, doesnt eye check the gpu since no monitor - ended up with a broken and physically teared gpu (could have avoided that with ''eye check'' method :D )
    Also cleans the case before he finds the 4070 but the pc is still dirty when he checked it. Hmmm, legit script

    Ol' Mil., then consumer Tech here, it's been decades since then and am now just an Ol' Boomer building as a hobby, not selling them, and have a bit of a museum. I've always kept the Fans from spinning wildly when blowing them off with compressed air. I also use different sizes of new paint brushes to loosen the dust / dirt. Question: I Collect parts and build old Flagships and / or duplicates of builds with my own twist. eg. staggered Vertical GPU's in SLI ( no insane Water Cooling, yet ) Like the look of HEDT's, TR's, ( 😍8 sticks of Ram flanking the CPU ) so mostly X99, X299 and X399 MB's. Just recently added Z490 and Z590 MB's and picked up 2 10850K's. Most of my older builds are SLI, whether 980ti's, 1080ti's or 2080ti's as looks and era correct are more important to me than gaming specs / FPS. Talking with a friend, over 3 years ago, I was telling him I could see (predicted) problems arising with future CPU's, but mostly GPU's. After researching 3000 and 4000 series, there are a lot of problems, some unfixable. What newer Graphics cards would you recommend with over 8G of VRAM, make / model is important (as we know with 3080's cap arrays )

    Here in New Zealand used RTX 3070's start at $550NZD or about $332.88USD so similar used values when currency converted. Thats for cards that have been mined for a short term. Genuine cards from gaming rigs cost $100+ extra from private sellers.

    Make this a yearly season, like next year next season starts. Also reset the total after every year(every season) so that the amount make sense to us. Thanks for this awesome video.
