Get rid of Barry saving Jill?!?! One of the most iconic scenes in survival horror never kind RE?! Add a stalker? To a game that doesn’t need it while also making the point people kinda done with them?! Mate…no…just no 😂😂😂
Get rid of resident evil all together the franchise has been garbage since 4classic onwards I own majority of resident evil games and I hate majority of these garbage games
@@NeoMoonSevinquit smoking crack it's one of their most popular franchises. There's no fucking way they'll ever get rid of it. You'd sooner shit and fall back in it

My biggest wish if Capcom ever remakes RE1 again is to PLEASE let us be able to see the canon ending where Chris, Jill, Barry, and Rebecca are rescued by Brad and escape the Spencer Compound together, also I'd like to see a "zapping system" that has Chris and Jill's Scenarios intersect instead of being two alternate timelines/realities
@@King710. Well actually in RE1, Chris' best ending has Him escape with Jill and Rebecca, and Jill's best ending has Her escape with Chris and Barry, it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to have all 4 of them escape together in-game
i think it would be cool to have two separate campaigns that link together like leon and claire’s in re2r. when you play as jill, you explore the mansion and the woods, you interact with barry, wesker, and lisa trevor. in chris campaign you wake up in the lab area after being knocked unconscious and kidnapped (mysteriously by wesker obvi) and rebecca sets you free, she assists you sometimes along the way like barry does with jill. (Rebecca’s sudden appearance could be explained in a shortened dlc of Re0) at the end of the game, both jill and chris reconnect and it ends on the roof fighting the tyrant. Barry gets injured by the tyrant and Rebecca pulls him to safety to address his wounds, and Jill and Chris fight the tyrant together, (whomever your playing as). Wesker obviously is still presumed dead after being impaled by the tyrant with a post credit scene teasing his survival.
Man, what we need is a combined Outbreak Files 1&2 remaster. It was so ahead of its time, but communication tech wasn’t there yet on consoles. Imo, that was the true beginning games like Friday the 13th/Dead by Daylight.
I think the woods being playable as the opener instead of a movie would be good. You get to do the inspection of the chopper, explore the area, eventually hear the screams and witness the Cerberus doing their thing. Then you fight them off as you make an escape to the mansion. I’d say no to the Lisa stalker. She’s not a hunter like Mr X or Nemi. She’s a failed experiment with barely-there cognition. She was a very odd addition to the game that really didn’t do much for the story. They could take her out and the series wouldn’t even notice. IF they do a remake, it should feature the side story of what happened to either Chris or Jill. You should get to play the events leading to their capture.
@@getshwiftygaming447 Not to mention Lisa serves as a bridge to RE3, as she was infected with a Nemesis parasite, making Lisa a Proto-Nemesis if you will. Very haunting.
@@scottgauley7722 she was also the catalyst for Birkin discovering the G virus so at this point she is extremely important to the origins of the series.
I think a playable prologue where you have to run from the dogs and watch the team members that die get picked off would be a great addition. Obviously like as Jill, Barry and Wesker would stay with you, maybe fire a few pot shots behind you, but Chris would vanish and you could have a scene where all 3 other team members have to make the group decision to leave him behind in order to get to the mansion and survive. It would build up so much more tension than just the opening cutscenes alone.
Very well said. I've been saying some of these reasons this game deserves a remake for a very long time. Shinji even said this is the ultimate version of the game as they were held back by technical limitations in the 90s. This remake was made before RE4 came out for the first time and it got remade before this did. I hope they stick with that idea of starting at the beginning with Chris and Wesker.
Resident Evil Remake graphically has aged like a fine wine. It also has the best version of Jill. I think they can pull off an RE Remake Remake but they would have to find ways to expand the map. Maybe an open world or area RE game.
Yeah I think if playing as Jill you should still see both Chris and Rebecca and As Chris see Jill and Barry. Also I think RE0 remake should be included with the second RE1 remake that way we can play as Rebecca longer and we can see more of Wesker by not spoiling the fact that he will be against stars. And Rebecca can reference what happened in re0. I think we should get a longer segment of being in the woods before going in mansion cutscene.
@NerdSpaceGames in REmake when you get knocked out by Lisa Trevor, they could have you wake up in another area of the woods with no weapons or gear. Nothing but a flaslight and you have to make your way back through the woods to her little shack to get your gear back and you have to dodge or sneak by dogs and zombies.
@@shundy00That scenario might tempt the developers to put in a narrative slow walk session like they did in RE7/8. We should be trying to help them break their addiction to narrative slow walk, not encouraging them to use it more.

Would love it if they'd start us at the police station and just let us walk around for a moment. Similar to the opening of RE 8. We could then have a chat with everyone in the team, say hello to Marvin, get a briefing about the mission from Wesker etc. Just a little glimse of the every day life at the station.
I actually really like this. They already have the S.T.A.R.S. office assets that they can reuse. It would also be an opportunity to give Joseph a line or two to get people to like him before he's attacked and killed by the Cerberus. To give his death more than a "oh that guy's dead" reaction.
I disagree with most of these. Except the expansion of the woods, RE-engine(sorta remake aged well) and lisa trevor. But for the most part I do cause if you remake the remake youre more or less taking away the roots of the franchise. But I heard ya out an I have rebuttals 1. you make sound like remake is hard for new players to acquire when it's really easy to get and learn Chris's backstory. 2, the controls in the remake don't have to be tank. The alternative control options are semi tank but break the game. as it makes moment WAY easier for a new Comer. 3. Making the camera over the shoulder just wouldn't work for the mansion it's too small of an area. It was easy for RE2 remake cause it takes place in a city. The mansion, caves, woods, the Lab can only go so far. Plus the amount of enemies pales in comparison to city full of zombies. Basically I'm saying RE1 isn't action enough to warrant over the shoulder.
The only thing I want from an RE1 REmake is both campaigns intertwining. The Separate campaigns make the story canon irritating as both contradict later games/movies.
Im currently replaying code veronica after 20 years 😂 Id love Capcom to remake RE:CV. In fact they MUST remake it.... ...and they should add an item discard option, maybe allow items to stay where you dropped them for later retrieval if need be.
I would love to go through RE1 in 3rd person but only if it was different enough. If it's the same walk in the park it would be boring. The way they added stuff to the original 2002 remake kept it fresh and interesting enough.
I think that’s something they’ll do. The game is short originally and unlike re2 remake, the two playable characters don’t really have alternate scenarios. So I can see them expanding on areas and maybe adding slight differences to the playable characters.
Orrrr what about to a canon ending actually write a canon story? Making Chris, Wesker and Jill enter the mansion, ant Barry being left out as Wesker's orders to place traps for Chris and Jill. Then making Barry find Jill and being part of her story, while Chris finds Rebecca and all. Just like Resident Evil 2 original, that the stories completed one another. It would be refreshing to see that. Making Jill actually meeting Chris in the gameplay ant interact would be amazing, we only could see that in Revelations 1. It would be top notch to be able to play a game having Chris and Jill together. Beside, placing something about his little sister, having Wesker threatening Chris to hurt or go after Claire would be exciting too. Chris reaction to Barry being a traitor is somenthing to see... RE1 Reimaged!!!!!
The 2002 remake is also my favourite Resident Evil game of all time. To this day, the game still looks amazing and I'm still figuring out how it ran on a GameCube. I realized it was static backgrounds but damn, they looked gorgeous and so did the character models. I actually hated the puzzles in hope they reduce the amount of puzzles in the remake if it ever comes out. Capcom did such an amazing job with Resident Evil 4 remake so I have high hopes for the original. 🤞🤞
RE1 remake: Seperate A and B scenarios New forest area Lisa Trevor stalker Bigger mansion environment with more new areas Crimson heads More puzzles RE Zero, George Trevor and Weskers Escape DLC
I'm so glad you included the Acting/Dialogue. To me, that's the biggest problem with the 2002 Remake and why it drastically needs another Remake. I can get past the fixed camera angles & dated gameplay mechanics...but the corny/campy dialogue is a deal breaker when you wanna play these games chronologically. Even longtime RE fans cannot deny that if you try to play the 2002 Remake & then the RE2 Remake... it's gonna feel off. The continuity & character depth JUST. ISN'T. THERE. Y'all naysayers can live in denial all you want...but the Jill Valentine from 2002 is absolutely nothing like the Jill from RE3 Remake and nothing can fix that except a Remake. And just in case someone is gonna say "that's because Jill in RE3 is hardened/traumatized"...that doesn't change the straight up cheesiness of the dialogue & acting. I'm all for a Remake of CV & 5...but the original Resident Evil needs to be the next Remake, hands down. I wanna play these games in chronological order and have it feel connected & make sense 🤷
The characterisation presented in RE1remake doesn't blend well with the grounded approach the game attempts to set out. No character reacts accordingly to the horror/terror unfoulding around them. The script was extremely poor and is only a marginal step up from the original which is regarded the worst in the series.
Have to disagree. Recently played RE1 and RE2 remakes. RE2's new engine just made the game feel like RE4 (like an arcade game). RE1 though still feels intense with all the forced perspective camera angles and the mystery of the mansion's puzzles. I think a remake would fail to capture the essence of what made RE1 great.
unfortunately modern players like to turn it into a homogenized modern title riddled with extremely commonplace modern gaming design like over the shoulder perspective that give no unique distinction to RE whatsoever cuz they can't get good with playing good ol classic titles
@@Bean-hjkiuer Chief, fixed camera is still used in many games, and obviously is altered and done in a different way compared to the past. Claiming that it is dead sounds so uninformed. And according to your thinking, the inverse can also be said: over-the-shoulder fans also try to deprive fixed camera fans from playing fixed camera. But now you suddenly get butthurt when I am doing it ❤️🩹. But I said what I needed to say. I am not an avid hater of over-the-shoulder perspective but it (and first person, which is better imo) are so commonplace now but then they want to turn a gaming design that deviates from that into the same generic one apparently for "accessibility" cuz players either have this weird conviction that "recent/modern games are always the best and games released from many moons ago, no matter how excellent or abysmal, are inferior" or they suck at and cannot accustom to games with tank controls and forced perspective or can't see positive points as they do with over-the-shoulder so they put the blame on the developers' part. Fixed/dynamic preset camera angles mode is still a form of gaming perspective, alongside first/third person, 2D sideway, topside view, 2.5D,... My opinion is ofc an opinion, but also somewhat true. You prolly can't see how many RE gamers always demanding over the shoulder third person again and again (they also dislike first person). And since Capcom now prioritizes profits, and new gen gamers' opinions unfortunately seem to be the only thing that matters, RE progressively becomes a modern AAA franchise but the recent remakes/games look more generic than ever, almost the same UI, presentation, perspectives, design, FX,... across all games with only slight modifications and different storylines, and people still think thats best RE. Good for them I guess? At least the OG mainline series spiced things up a lot between each installment. I no longer have faith in Capcom pulling off another actually good RE game.
@@Bean-hjkiuer First off, I was complaining about how RE games feel so homogenized and generic nowadays which is a corollary of both Capcoms streamlining the series for "consistency" by turning it into a modern AAA one as well as the general fanbase also wanting to have the same uniform modern gaming style. That the majority of fans demanding the same tropes and features is what actually happened and probably still is (and I'm aware that over-the-shoulder and first-person are generally the most intuitive), but me finding it tired and generic is obviously a personal observation. I don't believe I am desperate enough to have to portray my personal feelings towards something as a fact like you are making me out to be. And even my original comment is flawed, as in I should have worded it as "the bulk of modern or RE gamers" since I'm a gen Z member myself as well as it reeks of broad-brush painting, and that Capcom probably wanted modern RE to have a certain distinction aka a consistent visual style, which feels so generic and is not even that distinct from other contemporary games (again my own feeling). But then you somehow got pissed, chimed in by throwing rants left and right about why I should "hate" a certain camera perspective and "deprive" (lmao) other people. Even after I specifically said "I'm not an avid hater of over-the-shoulder perspective", you still hilariously griped about me loathing it and then apparently "attacking new gamers that don't like fixed camera". Sir, those are common sentiments I saw and read from virtually the generality of those people, but then stating them out is considered "attacking" lol💀, ig they have special privileges in your eyes apparently?😞 Secondly, I already acknowledged in my second comment that Capcom strives for profits and catering to the mainstream demographic, which is why fixed camera style is dead in the RE series. You made some arguments that I ofc agree with. But then your comment on it feels like the notion also applies to the general gaming landscape, which is again your feeling sorry. It is mostly altered and done in different ways as I mentioned above and there are even decent fanbases adoring that style of presentation, as well as manifold games looking fine using it. Bramble the mountain king mixes both Little-nightmare-esque camera style and preset camera angles. Sure there are prolly you and others who find it "outdated" but people generally enjoy it. So the bottom line is neither it is dead nor outdated. If anything it is just certain people's feeling about it visually. You also made many other totally irrelevant points about me because you overblew most of the things I said. And I am "toxic" for not liking the direction Capcom and the fans want RE to take in terms of visuals and presentation, huh💀??? If you want that real toxicity you should go read the various comments that Crowbcat's fanbase made about RE4 remake chief. By your logic I'm toxic because I don't like the things you like, I become this obnoxious spoilsport that takes away people's enjoyment because I am not on their boat. The whole word doesn't have to cater to the preferences of you and other people in the same boat, not even me. And I believe maybe the only person being mad here is you, uh from the way you talk. Get a grip on yourself.
It's a remake in name but gameplay wise it: A) Plays the same as RE2 & RE3 B) Is more 'outdated' than RE4 If 2, 3 and 4 all deserve the remake treatment, RE (2002) deserves it too.
Although I do agree on all the points made here, I just can’t shake the feeling that we’re all in a «remake epidemic» here. Not just for the Resident Evil series, but for many other games too. Yes, many of these original horror games had solid stories and are considered by us OG veterans iconic. And yes, many new games these days sVck cause the lack of originality, charisma and they just don’t hit the mark. So I’m kinda split between wanting to see more remakes and just wanting developers to stop remaking old hits, move on and creat something new and fresh, that is actualy good!😐🤷🏾♀️ Like, do we really want remakes of every single Resident Evil game ever made? And if so, where does it stop? Remakes of the side story games too, like Resident Evil Outbreak and Revelations? And by the time the developers has remade all the Resident Evil games, the technology has improved so much that people will ask for new remakes of the remaked remakes😭
I would love to see Chris get a proper run in Resi 1: 1. Chris should carry more than 6 items lol 2. Chris should have as much weapons as Jill had, she was so OP by the lab it was nuts. I could see Chris getting a lever rifle or a 44 mag revolver by end game as well balancing the game out more. 3. (both Chris and Jill) I would love to see the OG bonus outfits from 96 Resi 1 done with modern updates. 4. I'd like to see a battle mode with everyone on Alpha team and Bravo team.
Well since Jill got a grenade launcher id give chris a submachine gun to make things fair cuz a 2nd magnum would be too OP just give him a sub machine gun that takes 9mm ammo so if the player has any leftover they can just use what reserve they got and not rely on their handgun by that point. Cuz thats not gonna give too much assistance to chris but it would be just enough to be fair.
Good ideas in the woods. I think it would be cool to have a timed ending with a written clue to locate Rebecca or Barry etc before the mansion blows up
No they don't need to. That game is a classic and perfect as it is. I don't want them to remake it just to cut stuff and make me miss the original like they did with RE 2 and 4 remakes and especially with the 3 remake.
In this case i would absolutely love them to go back RE2 and just fix 2nd scenario and make ir more zapping system , and also go back to RE3 and well literally re-do that awful game
5:50 Terrified?? F%ck no! Annoyed is more accurate. The only times I’ve enjoyed Mr. X was those sneaky times he break through a wall and scares me for a sec. I’m currently playing REmake 3, so I’ll see if Capcom improved with Nemesis
I’ve been looking for this comment, I got so annoyed that she was still afraid of the hunter, but apparently 0 came after they were working on the remake, so they couldn’t fix her
They mention feeding the dogs and the dog pens. It would be cool to see servant corridors that lead off to the dog pens or even other areas that would add secret passage shortcuts after finding a passcode or key would be nice. The problem with the woods I feel would be too much emphasis on killing the dogs then all of a sudden if you run no shooting ammo and you start off with basic full clip in the gun you may feel it misleading potentially. I feel if they take out Yawn encounter in attic and replace that with the Acromantula boss it would be more fitting to fight that up there instead of as an optional non rewarded easily skipped boss.
While I'd be interested in what Capcom would do with another RE1 remake, I have to say I'd be absolutely fine without it. REmake is THE perfect Resident Evil. Hands down, and simply can't be touched.
I want them to remake 1 for a single reason: so we can see all four characters surviving instead of Capcom's "trust me bro, they just did" talking point
A 1 reimagining might be really cool but I'm worried that when if it does happen that the newer RE fans are going to use it to alienate the classic fanbase. Every tme I see a classic fan in a comments section (a toxic fan I should add, I know the classic fans get toxic too but I can't blame some of them) they seem to think it's OK to call someone who doesn't like the new games a "nostalgic fanboy" or some other wrong use of the word nostalgia. It's OK to have an opinion (as long as you are respectful towards others) and there is nothing wrong with liking the classics. I just hope that we don't forget about RE's roots and we can keep the classics relevant ( mostly because I haven't played some of them yet and I really want too).
I mean I’ve been saying for a while as a pipe dream that Capcom needs to pay it’s respects to the classics by releasing the original trilogy as a HD remaster collection on modern consoles. They did it with street fighter so I can’t see why they won’t do it with RE. It’s easy money from us og fans of the franchise
@@NerdSpaceGames Yes! I forgot to mention that in my first comment. Hopefully they learn from what konami is doing and comtinue to port older games in the future.
They should make an effort to make Chris’s and Jill’s campaigns as different as possible. In the original and the remake, there were differences. But there should be exclusive areas, cutscenes, bosses and endings to both characters. Hell they should even give Wesker a campaign but not like they did with Zero. He should have a story and cutscenes.
I'd like to see them give Jill and Chris some more exclusive tools that they always have. They should normalize their health and inventory slots though, people don't like how handicapped Chris is with inventory slots.
1.) I can't be bothered to play a game without modern graphics 2.) Fixed camera angles suck 3.) Tank controls suck 4.) I like cut content 5.) I'm a slave to nostalgia 6.) I want a watered down version of these characters and story 7.) I really like the idea of playing a reimagining of a remaster of a remake of the original game
The remasters did improve the controls making free motion the default way to move with Dpad locked to tank or turn off in the options. So this isnt a current problem for newer players. Probably just want a more more approach to action and exploration. Still agree though. They can make the Crimson Heads a major shake up in a new remake.
@AngryCosmonaut They could also make Yawn a more persistent threat too. Black Tiger and the Chimeras hooboy that be something. Make the Mold from 7 look like nothing.
I would like an origin of playing as George Trevor. Hiding from Umbrella Agents in the Spencer Mansion, avoiding being seen. Trevor would be able to see the switches, keys, in plain sight as he is constantly moving about the home to not be caught. Before finally meeting his demise of starving to death behind that wall where the Golden Emblem rests. Also, I want to see Barry encounter Chris's campaign as well as Rebecca's with Jill's. While I'm at it, I want the aftermath of Barry and Rebecca explained. We already know that Barry immediately fled the country sometime before or after Chris did. And while I'm at it with the aftermath, I'd like to play as Ben Bertolucci with investigating the Arklay Mountains and uncovering truths, before being found out and then arrested on false charges by the Chief Irons himself. And finally, I'd like to see be able to play as the four bravo team members: Enrico, Forest, Richard, and Kenneth. Having the game explain to how they got where they were without keys.
Just leave the original alone. It doesn't need a remake on top of a remake. If these new players want to know more about the original characters. Pop in the old school version or the remake. That simple. Now move on to RE: CV like they should've been done, and keep this remake train going.
There was one dude on this video about someone talking about the remake of Resident Evil one and they said they capcom. Don’t need to remake this game because it would destroy the game and it would be another wrestlemania three remake failure which I disagree with but I also agree because if they Screw this up, they will have a lot of friends angry, but I think that it would look amazing in the RE engine they do need to improve on the dialogue. Maybe put a couple of new puzzles, but keep the old puzzles. Don’t change a lot of the game expand some of the areas, make the knife better for crying out loud
Only thing I disagree with was the RE2 comment, because RE2 remake cut a hell of lot of content. One little orphanage story can't make up for that. It's a great game, but it's not better than the original when it comes to content. RE1 getting remade would just end up being a case of the same, and I'm just not looking forward to it.
Stalker Enemies are lame, always have been. They overstay their welcome, become loot pinatas, and/or have too much plot armor which makes their boss fights feel unfulfilling. Resident Evil games are horror games in the same way Castlevania games are horror games, both have spooky elements and then its all action. "Survival Horror" really just means "Inventory Management Action".
I dont think using the “its to old school” argument just isnt a very good one in terms of justification. Mind you I loved RE2 and 4 remakes but both of them had their own issues. Tank controls are fine. I also didnt like them at first when I was getting into RE back in the day but after learning how to use them they grew on me. So did the dialogue. Im sure I could go on some rant about how too many changes and cuts would result in another RE3make situation but more than enough people have already covered that. RE:REmake needs at least its cheese to a decent degree. I wont argue too much on the tank controls since “the new generation” is all that seems to fucking matter in every entertainment medium these days and they seem to be incapable of learning anything that requires skill (based solely on the constant coddling of those people when a challenge is issued instead of letting them rise to the occasion) but, I seem to be falling into my rant now. I will leave it at that. Im sure an RE1 remake remake would be fine and if it sucks, well I still have the OG REmake.
Real. Too many players be playing too many fast-paced action-heavy over-the-shoulder shooting games that when confronted with a game with a unique different control scheme they fly off the handle and blame it on "bad gaming design" instead of getting good and actually learning how to habituate to it. And also because of it every classic title with distinct takes and direction are now demanded to be remade specifically by stripping them of what make them unique and throw in bundles of modern commonplace attributes that have appeared in almost every single game nowadays to fit their "modern", "gaming should be mainstream and accessible" sensibility. And now I'm left wondering, as good as some of the remakes are, why they feel so generic and bland now.
I'd be fine with them incorporating Rebecca's history in 0 into this for consistency, but that's about it. Tank Controls to me are second nature so the Alternate scheme they added feels completely unnatural to me. And as for the old school argument, sometimes Old School can be better. New doesn't always mean good. Lisa's less a monster, and more of a victim. Making her a Stalker enemy would not work, and would actually betray her context.
I agree wholeheartedly RE1 and 0 in the RE engine would be based. And when people say RE1 is too short I just say, here's how you fix it, take RE0 and RE1 remake them both in the same game and different campaigns, this way you have Chris' story, Rebecca's story and Jill's story, but for good measure throw in a Barry campaign as well. Boom. Full on RE0-1 remake in the RE engine with modern over the shoulder perspective, current VAs, expanded environments, bigger set pieces, and literally dozens of hours of content.
I don't want over the shoulder controls as the default and only option. Yet another game of which I'm looking at 70% of the screen that is essentially the back of the protagonists head (and thier back) is not for me anymore. I think we should progress on to first person as default which is immersive and scary. My real preference however. Is to have all three camera types in the form of the original tank control, over the shoulder for those that like it, and first person for those that like it too, simply be a choice at the start of the game. That would be awesome. Or if capcom decides it's a better route for them. Then they could simply have the other modes as unlockables upon completion of the game. That would keep people coming back again and again and the replayability levels would be sky high.
I wish multiple styles would be introduced going forward. Especially since village proved it can work both ways, but who knows if Capcom will commit to stuff like that on release.
my top 7 reason why it's not need a Remake 7. It's has already Remake. 6. I think we have enough, third person over the shoulder games these days. 5. they will cut stuff again. 4. No more hide and seek enemies it's getting old. 3. It's already a master piece. 2. They need to focus now 9 and stop milking these games like they did whit Megaman X series and let it die. 1. the fandom needs to remake their brains and stop these fucking stupid speculations. Amen
Like I said in the video, re1 remake is already perfect and my favorite game as is. That being said a lot of modern gamers won’t touch it because of the tank controls.
I know they want to spice things up, but imo they can just keep sthe same exact game as re1HD with a new paint job and it will be amazing, and people would love it. I know I would
So basically make it harder..ok,how about more zombies? It's like any suggestions for new res games never touch on the Zombie element, just harder bosses and more puzzles.Resident evils puzzles are great because most of them are common sense, just buy yourself a rubix cube.Agree with you on the woods being expanded that definitely would work.
I 100% agree that having them expand on the mansion/exterior! The biggest thing I want to see from a 1 remake is a Barry expansion! Have it like Ada's expansion down the road and rework the story like RE4. Can you imagine how popular that would be?
Remaking the first Remake is not gonna be easy task, because CAPCOM need to at least make it the same level with the original Remake or Make it better than the original Remake. If its lower quality than the original remake, fans would pretty much lose faith in CAPCOM. It's big risky gamble of remaking the Remake
Lisa Trevor as a stalker figure doesn't work for those who already know the character. As we feel empathy for her more than anything else, and therefore the fear factor simply doesn't exist. Even if they really changed up the script (which therefore wouldn't be true to the previous of course} it wouldn't really work as we have preconceived ideas of her character.
I still see her as a good stalker enemy. Of course we see the tragedy and sadness behind her but that wouldn’t make her any less terrifying as she stalked the halls potentially trying to kill you
When they remake RE1 again, I hope they change it where Chris or Jill just doesn't get locked away for 98% of the game. I think it'll be fine if Chris found another way into the mansion and he's in there with Jill. Kind of like RE2R where they only see each other once in awhile but you find notes about them being in the mansion. Then let it be Rebecca or Barry who is locked up, depending on who you are playing as.
As for the cannon ending, make me go out of my way to rescue Rebecca or Barry. Risk versus reward, with it's going to be dangerous, but there's a nice weapon only obtained that way
About your statement on the 2 remake adding a lot to a game with "not a lot of things": The 2 remake was the first RE game I played and I can tell you that yes they did add some cool things but they also took away a lot of things from 2 like the zapping and scenario system, some enemies, and some other things. That is by no means a bad thing as the remake in no way replaces the original and it is meant to be it's own RE title (even though most newer RE fans would think otherwise). My main problem with the new remakes is the character personality changes (jill, claire, and a few others to be specific). I also don't like the whole "realism" thing capcom has for some of the character and monster designs.
i dont get the people who are saying re1 doent need a remake because the 2002 remake was the perfect remake. nobody is taking re1 (2002) away from you. its still there to play and it will still be amazing. even if the new remake wont capture the soul of the original like the 2002 remake did, it can still be an amazing game and capcom has shown that they can pull it off with re2 remake and re4 remake. plus everyone loves Resident Evil 1 so it would sell like crack.
Bro it would be so glorious. Due to the close-quarters nature of the game it would be perfect for it to be in first person. Also as you can see in the intro, some characters have a camera, it also kind of shows you the game from a first person perspective, but imagine if it had a "found footage" vibe to the game, like, as if some important people were watching the recordings the characters recorded throughout the whole nightmarish experience, and the first person camera is see through the "lenses" of the cameras the characters have with them. Kind of like the movie "REC" and "REC2".
I personally don’t think 1 needs another remake I just WANT one and I know it would be so fucking cool and it would be smart to do it. Maybe not soon because we need a code Veronica remake first
Code Veronica definitely needs it the most but I think it would be best to do 1 then Veronica, especially since the 30 year anniversary is coming up, get it out the way then do CV.
In my opinion RE only justification for a new remake is to make the new game in first person. 7 kinda brought back the feelling of the spencer mansion, but be able to walk through the og mansion in first person with the original music, wow it would be epic.
They even used the new Jill on Death Island, the intro for that movie shows the new Jill on the RE1 Stars Gear, that already made me think about this remake
I think chris needs a break from the games. He was in re1, code veronica, many 3d movies, then re5, then re6, then re7, then re8. He has been in more things than any RE character to date. So no, we 100 percent don't need a remake of the remake of RE1. The game was already remade. We don't need RE1 to turn into what Bethesda keeps doing with Skyrim or what has been happening to the last of us over and over.
As a day 1 RE fan. Tank controls never bothered me back then. New controls spoiled me so much now that I find the tank controls frustrating. I only played 2 mins of RE1 remake because of it. I would love a new RE1.
They should make the mansion a labyrinth. Over the shoulder camera action. But true survival, minimal ammo and resources. Heavily focused on exploration and puzzles. I would love that
Thank you so much for making this video! I am the exact kind of person you were talking about. I was not introduced to the RE world until RE7 and I fell in love. I’ve beaten 7,8, 2remake, 3remake, and 4 remake dozens of times each. However I can’t get through 5 mins of the tank controls and weird camera angles of the older games. I did beat the RE remake one time just for the story but never replayed it because of the era. We need it to be remade with the RE engine!
I've been playing RE games with tank controls. I've never beaten RE1 remake because of that. Granted, I'm not the greatest player ever but over the shoulder helps me out alot
I’d say just play the game on easy at first then go from there. I used to be the same as you guys until I finally gave it a shot and now I LOVE re1 remastered, RE3 original and Code Veronica. Even RE 0 and RE2 original are great games!
Yes! I agree there needs to be a way to get the cannon ending of RE 1 with all 4 characters on the helicopter as they escape. It’s always bothered me that this ending is impossible to get yet we see all 4 of these characters appear in later games and movies. Let’s hope capcom listens and finally gives us this ending
when they remastered it in 2015 i expected them to mak actual 3d backgrounds so thered be no fixed camera and theyd make the inventory better so there wouldnt be so much back tracking as well as making the objectives more clear to avoid getting lost and being confused, ppl hype up this remake but its honestly got so many problems that ppl ignore just cuz its an iconic re game
if they give us scenarios for Chris and Jill like A and B scenarios in OG Resident evil 2 and some new areas i'm all in, but i'm afraid they'll only take out the fixed camera angles, remove areas (like in RE 2 and 3 remakes) and dumb down puzzles.
As a long time Resident Evil player starting with Resident Evil 1 Directors Cut for the Playstation 1. Here is what I want in the newest Resident Evil game. I found Veteran for RE7 and Standard for RE2 Remake to be playable, The Hardcore RE2R and Professional RE7 modes however were too difficult. Stalkers just add extra loops you have to just deal with which wastes time. Try to stay away from all of the RE2R dlc and the Chris Redfield dlc. There is a theme I am advocating for and that is capping difficulty out at a manageable amount. I prefer the old style Resident Evil games to the new style ones. My favorite optional content were the mercenaries modes for Resident Evil 6.
Wouldn't mind them changing up lisa trevor a bit... once you drop the rocks it could seemingly kill her and "complete" that boss fight, but then you find out you actually just set her free to roam the mansion and stalk you now 😯
@@Bean-hjkiuer thats the point and it is canon because r2Remake, R3 remake and resident evil 4 were base in their old counterparts (Re2 remake is based and the lore of old Re2) ergo i dont neek a remake only a remaster with the RE engine (what you want). I can comfirm that you only play the remakes and there is were you begin to play Re games. You are a resident evil old hater. I like old ones and new ones except RE5 and RE6, those are garbage (Re6 more than RE5). P.S: RE3 remake is crap
@@Bean-hjkiuer I am not attacking capcom, i love a lot of games of capcom. I am attacking you and the old resident evil haters. A lot of people say that Re3 remake is crap because is linear, cut locations, cut story elements and dialogues and ruin nemesis. Also scenario B (of claire or leon) of RR 2 was ruined. Second if we erased the old games story, remakes will not exist and the lore of the old games is absolute because the original creator of the resident evil franchise says so, new people try to change his vision and his story (shinji mikami and tokuro fujiwara). The pld games introduce the gaming community to resident evil and his lore, it was made them the fans you see today ergo are way better than the new ones (also apply to resident evil 4 old). Third i dosent contradicts because the story old of the old one were the base of the story and came first
Really love RE1. I think the first time in a cut scene in RE4 was one of the best OH SHIT moments in RE history. Adding one of those to the woods part that us old-timers think is just a cutscene!?? BRILLIANT.
5 things I want to see a second remake of Resident Evil that I think is the best ways to reinvent the original game. 1. Make Chris and Jill's campaigns intertwine every now and then with the final boss is given to the second campaign. 2. Make the acting and atmosphere feel more serious. I do like the comedic moments in the original and the 2002 remake, but it gets thrown everywhere like a ragdoll. 3. Add new B.O.W.s such as a prototype version of a Licker or a STARS member turned Tyrant. 4. Add new locations and consequences. Seeing new areas such as the woods is what we all want, but there needs to be some kind of ramifications to punish the players if they are leave the main mission. 5. Add two DLCs. One to explain how Rebecca survived the events between Zero and 1, and the other to explain how Wesker survived the ending of the game. These two DLCs can engrave more lore to build up the stakes and what's to come.
Can we just talk about the graphics difference between the original and the remake considering it was 5 years later like it still holds up today it was truly ahead of its time
Re1 OG is probably my fav game of all time, RE1 remake is very close behind. I absloutely would love another remake in the re2 remake style. I always wonder though, how they would do it. They would have to add a lot to it to make it longer I think. If they made a remake with the current re1 content, I feel the game would be way to short. The mansion although my fav place in all the games, it really isn't a big area. When you know the game you can beat it very quick. But i'm sure capcom would figure away to do it.
What you mention as 'Boss fights' are not boss fights. It's survival horror. Escaping them rather than defeating them leaves the survival horror aspect right there. You don't know when they will show up next which hypes up the survival part of the game. You're not supposed to go in guns blazing and end them, or even if there were a strategic way to deal with these enemies. If we just killed every 'boss' we would be left with basically Resident Evil 6. In saying that, the 'bosses' that aren't killed would be pretty cool if they just showed up randomly. Like maybe you have the choice to take them out, but if you don't they can randomly show up when you least expect it. If they ever did a new remake of this game, that would definitely be a thing I would want included.
I like to see the other titles like Outbreak, Operation Racoon City, and Resident Evil Zero. We don't get enough of Rebecca chambers as well. RE0 is the first game officaly acutally takes place before RE1.
I dont think lisa trevor should be a stalker like mr.x. She's too slow and way too difficult for her to get throu the mansion with her size and handcuffs..
Get rid of Barry saving Jill?!?! One of the most iconic scenes in survival horror never kind RE?! Add a stalker? To a game that doesn’t need it while also making the point people kinda done with them?! Mate…no…just no 😂😂😂

You gotta earn that ending, can’t do it then you don’t deserve it
@@King710. Well actually in RE1, Chris' best ending has Him escape with Jill and Rebecca, and Jill's best ending has Her escape with Chris and Barry, it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to have all 4 of them escape together in-game
@@King710. you're a dumbass. probably never even played the game.
i think it would be cool to have two separate campaigns that link together like leon and claire’s in re2r. when you play as jill, you explore the mansion and the woods, you interact with barry, wesker, and lisa trevor.
in chris campaign you wake up in the lab area after being knocked unconscious and kidnapped (mysteriously by wesker obvi) and rebecca sets you free, she assists you sometimes along the way like barry does with jill.

Off base with Lisa's importance, she actually adds a chilling element to the story that didn't exist previously
It would build up so much more tension than just the opening cutscenes alone.
joseph was the only one who die in the forest
Very well said. I've been saying some of these reasons this game deserves a remake for a very long time. Shinji even said this is the ultimate version of the game as they were held back by technical limitations in the 90s. This remake was made before RE4 came out for the first time and it got remade before this did. I hope they stick with that idea of starting at the beginning with Chris and Wesker.
We don't need a remake of the first RE again. It's time for Resident Evil 9.
Why not both? 2019 to 2021 gave us RE2R, RE3R & RE8.
Oh please y’all said the same about RE4remake and look what happened 😂
@@user-pn9xp1gz2l Preach
Resident Evil Remake graphically has aged like a fine wine. It also has the best version of Jill. I think they can pull off an RE Remake Remake but they would have to find ways to expand the map. Maybe an open world or area RE game.
Spooky darks, muddy textures and mickey mouse haunted house aesthetic is sub par, how does that qualify as aging 'like fine wine'?
Yeah I think if playing as Jill you should still see both Chris and Rebecca and As Chris see Jill and Barry. Also I think RE0 remake should be included with the second RE1 remake that way we can play as Rebecca longer and we can see more of Wesker by not spoiling the fact that he will be against stars. And Rebecca can reference what happened in re0. I think we should get a longer segment of being in the woods before going in mansion cutscene.
I think the woods was a missed opportunity by Capcom. It’s such a scary location that they can easily make iconic if they make that segment playable
I think the RE0 story with Rebecca should be DLC like Ada's DLC for RE4. They could just shorten up RE0
Let's just pretend RE0 never happened.
@@shundy00That scenario might tempt the developers to put in a narrative slow walk session like they did in RE7/8. We should be trying to help them break their addiction to narrative slow walk, not encouraging them to use it more.
Reason 1: They don’t need to. Then again, they didn’t need to remake 4, but they did anyway. Mostly for money but ANYWAY.

Would love it if they'd start us at the police station and just let us walk around for a moment. Similar to the opening of RE 8. We could then have a chat with everyone in the team, say hello to Marvin, get a briefing about the mission from Wesker etc. Just a little glimse of the every day life at the station.
awesome idea!!
I actually really like this. They already have the S.T.A.R.S. office assets that they can reuse. It would also be an opportunity to give Joseph a line or two to get people to like him before he's attacked and killed by the Cerberus. To give his death more than a "oh that guy's dead" reaction.
So they can give another low quality cash grab, that they removed 50% of the content from.
I'm never getting over how bad Remake 3 was.
I disagree with most of these. Except the expansion of the woods, RE-engine(sorta remake aged well) and lisa trevor. But for the most part I do cause if you remake the remake youre more or less taking away the roots of the franchise. But I heard ya out an I have rebuttals
1. you make sound like remake is hard for new players to acquire when it's really easy to get and learn Chris's backstory.
Im currently replaying code veronica after 20 years 😂
Id love Capcom to remake RE:CV.
In fact they MUST remake it....
...and they should add an item discard option, maybe allow items to stay where you dropped them for later retrieval if need be.
I think they're going to. RE1 then CV then 5, so that way we get a Wesker/Chris trilogy.
RE:0 had the item drop option
I would love to go through RE1 in 3rd person but only if it was different enough. If it's the same walk in the park it would be boring. The way they added stuff to the original 2002 remake kept it fresh and interesting enough.
I think that’s something they’ll do. The game is short originally and unlike re2 remake, the two playable characters don’t really have alternate scenarios. So I can see them expanding on areas and maybe adding slight differences to the playable characters.
@@NerdSpaceGamesif they went in the way that re5 did a mansion it would definitely up the ante on re1 which would be absolutely awesome
I'd like additional options to randomize key item locations, puzzle solutions, and/or randomized campaign weapons and ammo.
RE1 remake:
Seperate A and B scenarios
New forest area
Lisa Trevor stalker
Bigger mansion environment with more new areas
Crimson heads
More puzzles
RE Zero, George Trevor and Weskers Escape DLC
@@Bean-hjkiuer First off, I was complaining about how RE games feel so homogenized and generic nowadays
which is a corollary of both Capcoms streamlining the series for "consistency" by turning it into a modern AAA one as well as the general fanbase also wanting to have the same uniform modern gaming style. Sir, those are common sentiments I saw and read from virtually the generality of those people, but then stating them out is considered "attacking" lol💀, ig they have special privileges in your eyes apparently?😞
Secondly, I already acknowledged in my second comment that Capcom strives for profits and catering to the mainstream demographic, which is why fixed camera style is dead in the RE series.
If we enter an age of remaking remakes I'm going to commit arson
Lol technically RE1 has already been remade twice if you count deadly silence 😭
yeah but its outdated as shit lol
Yeah it would be a 3rd person action game. Some things should not be screwed with.
@NerdSpaceGames .....nobody is counting Deadly Silence as a Remake but you.
It's a remake in name but gameplay wise it:
A) Plays the same as RE2 & RE3
B) Is more 'outdated' than RE4
If 2, 3 and 4 all deserve the remake treatment, RE (2002) deserves it too.
A remake would need an Easter egg that plays the original FMV lol god bless that irl Wesker actor hahaha
Even if they did you can still play the 2002 version.
In this case i would absolutely love them to go back RE2 and just fix 2nd scenario and make ir more zapping system , and also go back to RE3 and well literally re-do that awful game
Unfortunately doubt we’ll get that 😭

If the only thing they did was make Rebecca the character she was in Zero, they would hit a home run.
I’ve been looking for this comment, I got so annoyed that she was still afraid of the hunter, but apparently 0 came after they were working on the remake, so they couldn’t fix her
Really? No, give us a Code Veronica and Outbreak File 1 & 2 Remakes, RE1 Remake is good enough for now.
Truth
I want them to remake 1 for a single reason: so we can see all four characters surviving instead of Capcom's "trust me bro, they just did" talking point
lol facts
I think this is an easy way to appease new fans with the remakes while also still appeasing the OGs with the trilogy collection set.
1.) I can't be bothered to play a game without modern graphics
2.) Fixed camera angles suck
3.) Tank controls suck
4.) I like cut content
5.) I'm a slave to nostalgia
6.) I want a watered down version of these characters and story
7.) I really like the idea of playing a reimagining of a remaster of a remake of the original game
The last one took me out lmao
Totally accurate.
is this like a sarcasm or call-out
@@userxy6987 just calling it as I see it. I've been burdened with brutal honesty
The remasters did improve the controls making free motion the default way to move with Dpad locked to tank or turn off in the options.
So this isnt a current problem for newer players. Probably just want a more more approach to action and exploration.
Still agree though. They can make the Crimson Heads a major shake up in a new remake.
I'd like to see Crimson Head style dogs too.
@AngryCosmonaut They could also make Yawn a more persistent threat too.
Black Tiger and the Chimeras hooboy that be something. Make the Mold from 7 look like nothing.
bruh the intro music is so nostalgic but I have no idea where I have heard it from
I’d like to be able to go through the giant door outside before entering the lab. Looked interesting
I thought it was darling seeing a baby face Leon in RE2 remake. It would be cute to see a young Chris 😂
They should just make Barry a playable character.
Just leave the original alone. It doesn't need a remake on top of a remake. If these new players want to know more about the original characters. Pop in the old school version or the remake. That simple. Now move on to RE: CV like they should've been done, and keep this remake train going.
"the acting sounds like it's from a B movie"
My brother in Christ, Resident Evil IS a B movie.
They do with that new re engine it’s by far my favorite entry in the series we should all get together and contact capcom
Or maybe fuse both re0 and re1 remake as one package you chose what to play either 0 or 1
I agree wholeheartedly RE1 and 0 in the RE engine would be based.
Toilet, we definitely at least one toilet for such large facility in the whole game! The lady Jill would certainly appreciate that!
absolutely lol
my top 7 reason why it's not need a Remake
7. Amen
For yourself.i have it .resident evil 1 remake is best . You must make resident evil code Veronica remake
Like I said in the video, re1 remake is already perfect and my favorite game as is. That being said a lot of modern gamers won’t touch it because of the tank controls.
how about them not skipping games AKA code V first
I know they want to spice things up, but imo they can just keep sthe same exact game as re1HD with a new paint job and it will be amazing, and people would love it.
No! It does not need another "remaster" because was already a remake Amigo
I 100% agree that having them expand on the mansion/exterior! The biggest thing I want to see from a 1 remake is a Barry expansion! Have it like Ada's expansion down the road and rework the story like RE4. Can you imagine how popular that would be?
Pretty damn popular!
They should combine RE 0 and RE 1 into one game on the RE Engine
Totally agree man, first person is the only way a re remake remake would work. It deserves it, 3rd person would ruin it.
Your number one reason is my primary reason I wouldn’t mind if they made another remake.
You are so welcome!
We need Code Veronica the re1 remake we have is perfect and should be left alone
when they remastered it in 2015 i expected them to mak actual 3d backgrounds so thered be no fixed camera and theyd make the inventory better so there wouldnt be so much back tracking as well as making the objectives more clear to avoid getting lost and being confused, ppl hype up this remake but its honestly got so many problems that ppl ignore just cuz its an iconic re game
if they give us scenarios for Chris and Jill like A and B scenarios in OG Resident evil 2 and some new areas i'm all in, but i'm afraid they'll only take out the fixed camera angles, remove areas (like in RE 2 and 3 remakes) and dumb down puzzles.
I think it would be cool to see Barry in Chris playthrough and Rebecca in Jill’s playthrough
Wouldn't mind them changing up lisa trevor a bit... once you drop the rocks it could seemingly kill her and "complete" that boss fight, but then you find out you actually just set her free to roam the mansion and stalk you now 😯
There is a saying that goes: it isn't broke don't fix it. Re1 remake is perfect, it doesn’t need a remake
Perfect? Its anything but perfect.
@@mrpussinboots4252 it is
@@Bean-hjkiuer thats the point and it is canon because r2Remake, R3 remake and resident evil 4 were base in their old counterparts (Re2 remake is based and the lore of old Re2) ergo i dont neek a remake only a remaster with the RE engine (what you want).
Third i dosent contradicts because the story old of the old one were the base of the story and came first
@@Bean-hjkiuer I love capcom, phoenix weight, resident evil, megaman, dead rising, marvel va capcom franchises
Dino crisis needs a remake.
Are you thinking what im thinking when capcom wanted to cancel all that fan made Re1 remake stuff?
Oh absolutely! Guaranteed they canceled all that to start making money on all of the remakes themselves 😅
Went from why we need a remake to how to remake the remake 😂
Yet I watched the whole thing 👍🏻
I know it's not everyones favorite but I still talk about RE6
I don’t hate re6 as most do tbh, and I expect a remake of that too which is even more of a reason to remake the “Chris” trilogy prior to it
I dont think lisa trevor should be a stalker like mr.x. She's too slow and way too difficult for her to get throu the mansion with her size and handcuffs..
Great shout out to Jon from arkley archive( now known as jon grevier) his take on the acting of re1 og and re1 remake is 100% accurate
