I think that the only way Barry could be in it or even mentioned by Alex Wesker have taken over Natalia so much that she let slip that she's working with the Connections, and Barry is trying to save Natalia.
I really want Leon and Jill to be the two main characters in the game. They're my two favorite characters in the franchise and that would be a dream come true for me (: Like you said, This would be the first time they've been in a game together so that would be so cool. You should have seen how excited I was when I saw them in Death Island together. I just want to hear some confirmation news already. I don't want to keep waiting

I’d be a little guttered if they deviate away from the cliffhanger in a direct sequel to that cliffhanger. I’d like Jill, Leon, Chris, Mia and Ada to be involved in some way or another, whether playable or not. If they have Leon as a playable character I do hope Hunnigan or Ashley would be some sort of radio support.
Spencer as a villain would be a nice twist, along with Jessica and Raymond being involved.
I like the single campaign with split sections like what 3R, 7 and 8 have done. If they have separate campaigns at least have Jill/Leon on the island as one and maybe Chris investigating BSAA as another.
I’d love it to turn out Wesker is alive and running the connection after Natalia (Alex) brought him back
Ohhh, though if that's true just imagine Chris' reaction to not only that and how there's not one but two Weskers then finding out Albert has a sister.

Jake with his dear old dad and aunt Alex due to Jake being brainwashed and given the very virus that Albert gave himself in Arklay, then Sherry's married Jake and they combined the Wesker and Birkin bloodline and the T and G virus by having kids.

I love Rebecca from OG 1 and 0. I'd love to see Claire, Sherry and Rebecca possibly come back together in a game. Its universally know that Rebecca is hated though.
I wonder what the far future for re games is going to be like. They’re running out of time with some characters who are getting too old and there can be only so many ideas for enemy/enemy types
I don't know. Too many misinformation. Though re9 going to be the last re with familiar characters then the next RE is self contain RE. Like every final fantasy game. Self contain, new story and character each game. Now who know.

Hear me out. (I am absolutely NOT cooking tho ) MAYBE... just MAYBE... the main RE characters, Claire, Chris, Leon, Jill, etc... SHOULD be in infected or something but get a cure that makes them age slower. That way you can keep them in the games longer ( edit: like Jill) 😂😂😂

well we already know chris survives since mention him in post credit scene and dlc of rose which set 12 years after 9.

You have to remember that this look is her most iconic look popular-wise. Not saying if it’s the best or not cause everyone has theirs. I’m a Jill fan since 1996 trust me :) I also believe this is misunderstood. Maybe it’s just a case of looking similar. Her hair could be similar but different colour. Maybe blond is coming back or she has slightly longer hair and it’s just the similar outfit from LiN that has her signature colours. Plus her ageing slowly is why she looks similar and not drastically different and that makes sense

@gerald9815 you know that RE9 is something like 20 years after RE3 Jill has changed ALOT I mean remember RE5 were she is a boss (and now Blond for some reason?) now while she wouldn’t be as strong as she was in RE5 by the time of RE9 she isn’t 100% human anymore.
It's about time, Jill and Leon were the headliners in a RE game. We finally get to see how they work together. It has been a long time, 25 years for this to happen. Please give Leon his long overdue vacation...maybe with Jill too.
I’m so glad it’s Leon and Jill since Death island I wanted to see more of them together I really like their dynamic both Jill and Claire have been slept on for years! Will be nice to play as a girl again instead of a boulder punching man

Capcom announced during shadows dlc that the winters saga was over. Perhaps we see a spinoff with her but I doubt we’ll see a mainline entry for her anytime soon

I don’t personally believe they will bring Spencer back, but with how convoluted some of the plots have become,if you’re right and they do, I actually think it would make an aging Barry’s involvement a lot more likely than not, because it would be a direct link to the personality transplant Alex used on Natalia as a bridge to Spencer transplanting himself into a clone or another person before his death to achieve his long sought after godhood and if this happened Alex/Natalia would be in her mid to late 20s in the timeline and she would definitely be a part of her “fathers” plan as she had a lot more loyalty to him than her “brother” Albert did. I wouldn’t even be surprised to find that if you’re right and he is the main villain that another reincarnated version of Albert, possibly having been implanted into Jake was also working for him.
Isnt it possible that the connections could include the bsaa like what if it a group of organizations or something like the connections seem like an open ended name. They wouldnt want to reveal who they were in 7/8

Honestly I hope that we see all the og cast and not limited characters cause there’s a lot of cliffhangers that need answers to and not be dead in the water,because if these are true then we might not get those answers and I am praying hoping that they don’t recycle re3 Jill because that’s been done enough and shouldn’t be done again for re9 so please please capcom listen to us the fans please don’t forget what we are hoping for.
I’ve personally had enough of the Leon Kennedy glaze. If any RE protagonist is gonna return I think it should be Jill. We haven’t seen her since RE5 and I feel like Capcom and half the RE fanbase is ignoring her just to glaze a character that didn’t even start the franchise. It’s time for her to come back.
Personally I’d prefer if there was a customization option for whatever weapons you get.
Like optics, grips and weapon attachments to rate of fire, power and precision.
Give me Chris, Claire or better yet Jake Muller as main character.. I personally think if the enemies in new RE will be potentially most dangerous, Jake is by far the most suitable to go on such mission, he has speed and strength far above human level, he is familiar with some of the deadliest monsters, such as Ustanak or those huge monsters you shoot down at the very first missions. He is also shown to be quite smart, and personally i would be interested if after so many years his personality would change, going from quite cocky arrogant guy, to perhaps more calm Leon-like guy, or choose Chris path, meaning being normal but have quite short fuse, and react too much on emotions in some situations.
11:40 honestly i wish capcom would retcon it so spencer was the recipient of the "phobos plan" u know tht whole thing with alex wesker? Thematically-wise it fits him like a glove,hed b like albert only stable and ageless just like he wanted,plus in tht state hed be unique as a final boss considering phobos isnt virulent like other viruses,esp in compatible hosts,not to mention the whole "mind transfer" machine tht was taken from spencer by alex,and ik REsistance aint canon,but its heavily implied alex worked on the phobos project since 98 least and shared her initial findings with spencer,thtd b a nice callback,would make the story feel built up
I’m so happy I love Nichole Tompkins jill she has alot of personality and while sure it’s different from og jill I don’t mind it. Then again I may be bias since I’m a new re fan and re3 remake was my first game and Jill is my favorite character. And for context I’m all caught up on the lore and played all the remakes and 5. I just hope they give Jill the death island treatment again becuase her personality really worked for a post re5 Jill

I really liked having Ethan as a new mainline protagonist. I really hope these leaks are false. I want a new lead and new setting. I heard rumors a while ago that this game was actually going to be about wendigos/native mythology. Who knows.

Don’t punch me in the face but… I like when RE strays away from their formula . Even though RE6 isn’t a good game it was still extremely ambitious. I think the perfect blend is RE7-8 . Yeah it wasn’t zombies , city , and our core 4 but it was fresh exciting , we are far farrr past zombies even really being a threat to our protags . I feel like gouls , goblins etc is just a natural progression to amp up how far Bio Terrorism has gone . And if I haven’t angered anyone yet (I LOVE STEVE BURNSIDE !)

I’m quite alright with Jill being the main protag of the game if that is the case, she’s been sidelined way too long just like Claire and many others, frankly I need a break from Leon and Chris. I get it they are Capcom’s golden boys but I just can’t help but feel like they are shoved down our throats regardless of the form of media they are always there in some capacity or at least it seems that way to me lol.

So personally ied love to see a branch off game set around Rose as she could be extremely powerful in a game set a few years after the rose DLC, of course this wouldn’t be your standard RE game as it definitely wouldn’t be survival horror it’s more of an Devil May cry or god of war style game as Rose at full power is the kind of B.O.W. you send in when the main RE cast has failed or it’s to dangerous for normal (ok I’m using the term normal extremely loosely when describing the likes of Chris, Leon, Claire and Jill but you get my meaning) humans so you send in the likes of Rose to recover the situation as best they can as they are pretty much Unkillable.

I hope it is but honestly as long as I get a CV remake I’ll never have to play another RE again my dreams will come true .
Fake sources, the only thing known is that the game will be open world and that the creator of the game will be the one who created RE7.And it is also known that the game will not be related to RE7 and RE8 either.This will be a completely new game with a new story new villains and of course a new hero.
Actually with the exception of the director of re7 being involved, the rest of this comments is as rumored as the things I mentioned in this video, some of which comes from the same source. Nothing has been confirmed except the director and even then he didn’t say he was directing re9, just that he’s directing the next re game (which could be a remake). We assume otherwise but if we’re going to be pointing fingers and commenting on all the “fake” news then we have to take everything not confirmed (including things you mentioned) the same way: with a grain of salt
I think they should really take their time making RE9. Make 3 intertwining campaigns between 3 of the main RE characters. 1 of the core 4 characters should die in the beginning setting off this story and letting us know there are going to be high stakes in RE9. I think Jill should die in the beginning. Bringing OG Stars team together Barry and Chris but Barry only contacts Chris via radio.
Then once Chris goes MIA and gets into shit that’s where Claire comes in and she goes and seeks out Leon Kennedy (her old friend from RE2) for help. 😀
Shit I’d Kill off Chris Redfield also at the very end of the game but only after he saves the day. But you can’t because he’s still alive 16 years after the events of RE village.

Ideally they could make a game like the original RE where it’s survival horror. It’s possible to make multiple campaigns and still have survival horror but it’s up to the DEVs.. who will make it action based haha
