I have gone back to using small local business like this rather than buy stuff online, wherever possible. Online sellers can be good, but I got fed up with so often getting the wrong parts. The old shops have people who really know what they are selling and can offer valuable advice, I don't mind paying a bit more for good service.
Tim you are so right, I have noticed for a long time that service is not a watchword in our modern world. When I worked in any of my jobs I used to give of my best so that people would come back for repeat business rather than just one offs, so when Rob shows these businesses it`s great to see, you agree?
Love how passionate you are about proper business. They are a dying breed and people like you keep them alive. Cheers rob. Interesting and informative video.
Good to see that they have trained up a young person in the business. Definitely worth supporting them. They have been around for 70 years so best wishes to them for the next 70 years!
Little independents like these guys are great, and I'm always happy to use my local parts & accessory shop rather than go to Halfrauds etc.... Great video, cheers !! 👍👍
So many people, especially the younger generations who are just getting into the joys of motoring, will learn so much from this video. It's commendable, it really is! 🏅🙂👍
I love business's like this, no flashy sales people just someone you can talk to and also get a lot of free advice. Companies like this will really look after you, as they know you will come back again and again. Nice find Rob
Many years ago, it was possible to buy a trigger mechanism for an aerosol can. It just clipped to the top of the can. Turned it into a spray gun. I've had mine over 30 years. Saves knackering your finger pressing the nozzle.
You can still buy them, but they are now plastic. Still work well though! There are different brands, but this is what I have www.amazon.co.uk/Can-Gun1-02012-Spray-Can-Tool/dp/B002EQEE82/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=paint+spray+trigger&qid=1582124255&sr=8-6
Rob, Everyday is a school day, it’s always nice to learn something new and these guys seem like nice people, thank you. Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave
Wow, this type of video is great, please do more. Don't get me wrong, your doing and fixing videos are great but learning about the things you use to do the doing and fixing is a step further than other content creators. A brilliant video guys 👍👍👍.
I had no idea that you could get a service like this Rob, so thank you for taking us along with you, and you have opened our eyes once more. Who else does that? Answer, you and Chris do that!!!
Omg mate it's great to see small companies like that still going strong and now you have shown them I hope people on your channel use them 👍👍👍👍well done mate
Nice to see good old business being done with friendly people make all the difference. Thanks for that very Interesting video rob it makes all the difference.
Old fashioned good service is the best - why would go anywhere else for your paint. Really nice video, Rob, and good to see you supporting other good people.
Being a painter myself I do this stuff every day and it amazes most of our customers when they find out how many colours do go into making each colour for there cars and the fact you do have to tint them differently
Well done Rob, I hope a TV channel picks you up and gets you on board. We need more normal people like you on TV that can relate with the people. You’re the people’s Macanic
Another great video and so refreshing to see a business dedicated to customer service. All too often I am obliged deal with businesses that haven't got even the merest clue about customer service.
Thanks for the videos Rob, just started my first Copart adventure with a CAT N Fiat 500. Already saved a fortune thanks to seeing you using a lug repair kit for the headlights. Dead easy car to work on and take apart, I can see why you have done so many. Not sure i'll make a fortune on it, but it's already been loads of fun, so i'll be happy even if it only gets me a bit of beer money. Love the videos!
salvage rebuilds uk good stuff and thanks for the reply! I just need to save up and get myself a workshop now, as my single garage is at full capacity 👍👍
The penny has just dropped....your the youtube wheeler dealer. Your Mike Brewer and Chris is Ed China 😁 💡 how about a trading up series....cracking mate.
Rob that was a great video and I always wondered how they make and get the paint into the can please do more videos like that very interesting content.
wow, this brings back memories from working at Brown brothers Poole. I was the panel department manager but mixed paint on numerous occasions. we supplied the local garages with all the consumables, paint and panels. I left just as 'fliptone' paints came into fashion. We sold ICI and glasurit paints. I never thought id leave the motor trade but i married a Namibian and live here now, owning a fitness centre, a world away!!!! Keep up the good work, shame i cant help. I think i better start restoring my 1971 Tc Marina i brought with me!! lol.....What the code for Teal Blue again, i could do with 5 litres of that!!! lol
Really interesting video, cool to see how they fill the aerosol cans, never seen that done before. And it’s brilliant to see small independent places like this operating, cant beat the personal touch.
Love it. I completely avoid the likes of Halfordses unless I really need something my local motorstore doesn't have. They know everything about cars whereas when you go into somewhere like Halfords they haven't got a clue. Keep up the amazing work

I can't believe this place place is still there, I picked up paint here for my second car, an Austin Cambridge which was owned by an ex Scotland Yard flying squad officer, this was in 1967.
