@Edison Dean yea, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since november myself :D
Your video is perfect. Not too long. Just right.
Thank you so much!!
Wow cool tutorial where did you get the gold vinyl that you use to divide the the glitter and vinyl wrap
Great! How long do I let the pen fry in between brite tone coats?
❤
Can you show how to get the clip back on??
Beautiful, when you pop off the clip part of the pen at the top, do you or can you put it back on?
You can't unfortunately
Did you spray the pen with clear spray paint at the end?
Great video! I’m just getting started so still a little unsure about the process. Did you sand the whole pen or just the part where the clip was? Also, what spray did you use seal the glitter with? I didn’t see it in your supply list. Thanks for your help!
Thanks Lisa! It’s best to sand the entire pen. It helps the epoxy stick to the pen. To seal it I used Rustoleum 2x Clear spray paint. The finish for that doesn’t matter, you can use gloss or matte. Good luck on your journey! This is such a fun hobby!
Thanks! I’m trying this now. How long do you give the mod podge to dry before sealing?
@@lshambaugh2006 I usually give it about an hour to dry.
How did you get the vinyl to stick. Did u use permanent vinyl.
Does the clippy have to come off? I know a lot of waitress and stuff don’t like their pens to not have the clip
Beautiful pens! What are the dimensions of the vinyl wraps?
Thanks! I don’t actually have dimensions. It’s literally just random scraps of vinyl I have laying around. Some are bigger than others.
What do you mean epoxy? What do you do with the epoxy? Thanks
Great video, is there an alternative to the epoxy??
Thank you! I’ve never tried anything else, but I know others who use Crystalac.
I COVER SOME OF MY PENS ALL THE WAY WITH VINYL. AND YES I use Brite tone aka Crystal. It is safe and you can apply with your fingers. Alot thinner consistency than epoxy but I love it. I do dip the end of my pens in glitter to hide the blck part where vinyl doesn't cover. The end where you push the pen. It is super fast and easy. Quick turn around. Hope this helps 😀
What type of epoxy u use I been wanting to make pens but I'm scared to not get the right epoxy and supplies
I use Alumilite. I actually have a video on my channel about all the supplies I use!
How long do u wait on modge podge to cure?
I usually let it sit for at least an hour before I seal it and then a few hours after that to epoxy.
Can this be done with a different kind of pen?
It definitely could, but if it screws off at the top of the pen it’s going to give a much different look. But you can definitely play around with all sorts of different pens!
Future tip!!! You don’t have to tape off and waste all that tape! You can wrap a piece of paper around it and use one or two small pieces of tape to secure it!
How much would be a fair price to sell
I sell mine for $6 and I think that’s low. I’ve seen them for anywhere between $8-$12.
After resin my pen is sticky
So, generally sticky resin is an indication that you either didn’t mix the resin enough or your measurements could have been just slightly off. This happens to me a lot when I use quick coat for some reason!
