Ethan - I second that, their voices are in perfect harmony together. The reason I hate when people give credit to one more than the other, to me both voices were amazing and complemented each other perfectly.
Maya A Right? People tend to get to Agnetha more, but you really need both to give it a better feel. They fit to together so perfectly. I like Frida’s more, idk why, but I love when she sings lower than Agnetha, she has such a powerful and rich voice. I guess that’s what you get when learning from an opera singer. Agnetha’s sounds more innocent and high and I guess people like that more, but that’s just me. However, both of them are needed, every band member is an essential part of ABBA. Björn, Benny, Agnetha, and Frida
Jeez wouldn't have killed her to say "one of the most successful groups of all time" at the end, because that is what they are. Not just the most successful of the 70s.
I'll rather say the best groups of all time coz without their music and songs, those musical adaptations in theater plays and movies would'nt become a reality.. and still in these millennial years, ABBA songs are still great to sing..
Eleazar Mora THE TRUTH IS THAT THE ABBA ARE THE MORE GREATESTS BAND OF ALL THE TIMES ( ALSO MORE SINGERS) !! NOT ELVIS PRESLEY, NOT MADONNA, NOT BEATLES, NOT MICHAEL JACKSON! !! NOTHING CAN TO BE COMPARED AT THE ABBA !!
roberto carluccio Certainly not Elvis & Madonna but as ABBA's biggest fan I have to admit that Michael is the only artist with more greatest hits. He had like a 35 year run, ABBA only 10 years
Jason Menso the ABBA HAVE ALMOST 50-60 SONGS ALL WONDERFUL AND INCREDIBLES !!! OF MICHAEL JACKSON I CAN TO REMEMBER MAX 15-20 BEATIFUL SONGS ( OR PIECES) !
Wow, I was expecting a little bit of take down by Mojo, but this is good. For young people who don't know about ABBA, this is a great 8 minute introduction. Abba is like the Beatles, as one day you start listening, and realising how amazing wonderful the music and harmonies are.
At the time, I was pretty neutral on Abba. But they were pretty widely despised, as were many such groups like Donny and Marie, and Capt and Tennille. They were sort of like the Mamas and Papas, but with less talent, much less quirkiness, and inferior vocals. But they weren't awful by any means.
LOL I was strictly rock back then, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, etc. but there were also many ABBA songs on my reel to reel. They were a group with a very unique sound and the vocals were second to none with Frida's mezzo and Agnetha's soprano voice blending in perfect harmony in a wall of sound. It is easy to understand why they are the 3rd best selling super group of all time.
ABBA has a special place in the hearts of Aussies. We made not two films but three about the band. We loved them for so many years, some of us still do.
Still now Thanks to Instagram and tik tok! I used to listen to many abba songs when I was little (because of my parents) Now I discover new abba’s songs that are lit Thanks to social networks! 🥰
I met them through a thrash-metal loving friend who also bought the ABBA Gold compilation the year it came out. Being a thrasher myself I started mocking him and he just lend me his copy, saying "just listen". I haven't stopped listening since then.
Thanks to my bus driver who was listening to dancing queen. When I heard I fell into love with the song. Then we watched the martian and i fell into waterloo
I mean, I’m only 13, so I have way more to go, but I know more than the average ABBA fan and more than kids my age, probably because they don’t listen to older music and only know them from Mamma Mia. I have read wayyyyy too much on ABBA.
Still one of the best bands. Their music was made by themselves. Nowadays peoples make songs and give those to artist who sing that. ABBA made its own songs, sang those. I am angry they was from Sweden and not from Finland :p Ty for this video! :)
I have heard them live plenty of times without any back up music and their vocals are phenomenal without that. I just wanted to throw that in there. I’m not trying to start an argument. Much respect.
I grew up on ABBA because my mother loves their music. I was born well after the band officially broke up (2000), but I have grown up listening to their music; particularly "Dancing Queen", "Take a Chance on Me", and a couple others. I believe that ABBA is one of the best pop band to have ever existed.
i honestly, truly cannot fathom into words how much i love this band. ABBA made amazing, spectacular, unforgettable music that will never be replaced and can never be compared. absolutely astonishing. my favorites!
NOT WERE, THEY ARE HUGE. STILL TO THIS DAY THEY SELL AROUND 2 MILLION CD'S/VINYLS A YEAR. ABBA, THE PERFECT BLEND OF POP, ROCK, FOLK, CLASSICAL, FUNK, REGGAE, COUNTRY AND DISCO MUSIC. LOOOOOOOVE ABBA💘💘💘💘
And new history, music and memories again , it finally happened , after ten years or more of speculation , September 2nd 2021, the official announcement , not just a tour, not just one more song, or two more songs… a new album and computerized tour ! Let the ABBA VOYAGE BEGIN!!!!!! November 5th 2021!
How about their song "Knowing Me, Knowing You"?? it was my all time favorite ABBA song. i was born in 1988 but grew up with the songs of 60s, 70s and 80s. Thanks to my father who always playing good old music. He is celebrating he's 60th birthday in heaven yesterday. We miss you Papa. 🇵🇭
Ha ha. Im getting there! I’m either going to wear the grooves out of my records or it’s going to blunt my needle. (And it wont be the first time it happened!)
David Kelso It's a UA-cam video not a documentary. It's ment to be an introduction to younger people that don't know anything about them, not an in depth breakdown.
Isabella Colon I’m only 13, but if you really want to teach, then give a better introduction, such a little amount of info here. It’s a good one, but it’s so rushed and hardly gets into the depths of their career.
Agreed. The four of them & their talents were so underestimated. Their contribution to the music & theater scene, across multiple continents, is truly timeless. Thank you for the music & the memories! :)
What a fantastic group!!! I could listen to their album of greatest hits and not keep forwarding it until I would come to one I like. I like them all!!!
Just when you think you like their music but you're not so much of a fan though, you realize you know all their songs and the lyrcis and you suddenly feel like a dancing queen, young and sweet only 17 and BAM, lights have found me shinning like the sun Fernando and you have to admit that ABBA might be your favorite band ever. Mamma mia, does it show again?? Finally facing my waterloo. SOS

I love ABBA. I'm obsessed. I even have their Wii Game: ABBA You Can Dance and have seen ABBA The Movie and Mamma Mia!!! The Movie featuring songs of ABBA.

I have enjoyed their music all of my life since I was a child of single digits during the 1970s, I hate that they like to rest of us have had rough patches. gwtw99 good eye my friend, she was and is gorgeous, what a beautiful woman, her story is very unique also, her mother and grandmother with her as a child had to flee her native country of Norway to Sweden because they were persecuted and discriminated after World War II because her father was a German soldier during the occupation of Norway by the Germans and her mother was considered a traitor to the Country and her a bastard and undesirable child....
No matter what ABBA song you hear you think ”Oh yeah, this is their hit song”
Aterhallsam . You are so right. Almost every song is great!
I knowwww😁
Most of their songs are hits
So true
Hahah.. yeah🔥
This band will forever be associated with my childhood, since my parents played these songs when I was young.
Dean Martin. Elias Iles

just like john lennon and paul mccartney
Absolutely, they harmonised exceedingly well!
one of the most underrated bands in 1974 now the third most best-selling artist of all time
mr chese At least they are lucky enough to watch all their success unlike many other artists who died before getting recognized.
mr chese 1974 was a good year I was born.
What’s two and one?
Two is Michael Jackson and one is The Beatles.
@Frederick Green o
You just can't deny that ABBA was one of the most successful groups, ever. So iconic
Jeez wouldn't have killed her to say "one of the most successful groups of all time" at the end, because that is what they are. Not just the most successful of the 70s.
Cathy Maguire exactly. they r incredible with everything especially pop 70s music

Apprentice didn't hear Bjorn saying they're bigger than Jesus.
ABBA has a special place in the hearts of Aussies. We made not two films but three about the band. We loved them for so many years, some of us still do.
Why ABBA's songs always feel like they singing by their souls, so beautiful
40-years later and ABBA's music is going strong in 2019 as it was in the 1970's.
Of course they are popular you know.
And into 2020.

Alex Lopez what is is about ABBA that metal heads love? I’m a huge metal fan, but I’ve always loved ABBA!
Your friend has really good taste :P
The best metal song of ABBA is definitely "Watch Out"!!!
@@Music-wr4yo Same, it's confusing
I blows my mind as well but every single metalhead I know loves ABBA.

Gimme Gimme Gimme was way ahead of its time. I thought it was 80's or 90's. Good grief. I love that song.
Exactly! It was even ahead of its time in 2005 when Madonna used the same tune in her song called "Hung Up"
No party without a couple of ABBA songs, uniqe sound and their music Always make you Happy:))))))
40 years later their music still gives people Goosebumps! 🔥🔥

In New Zealand and Australia they were the biggest stars of all time. Those of us in our 40s and 50s grew up with them.
Best pop band ever

I lived in Germany 1979-1982. ABBA's music was everywhere in Europe.
