A top 10 ABBA songs ? How can it be possible ? Each time you listen to an ABBA song, it is the best song. And when you have finished, the other ABBA song you listen to after becomes the best.
You literally can't not like ABBA. You may SAY you don't to sound cool, you may be ashamed because of it, but you like them. You'll always like them. Best get over it now
Angel Eyes ... Although I didn't found any video of it. Vocals are amazingly melodious just act as like different music instrument itself . One of my very favorite track !! ABBA all tracks are literally out of the world ... Extraordinarily Melodious combination of vocals, perfect lyrics and mesmerizing music. They were pretty futuristic as compared to 1970's . Just imagine 40 years back... without internet they reached top ten song list of more than 14 countries and sold 6-10 millions copies !! Simply outstanding and stunning !! Still rocking in 2018 .I think every fan will share the same feeling mentioned in below lines and perfect tribute of their love towards ABBA !! "So I say Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me" - Thank You For The Music Track - ABBA
ABBA is more than just a pop band. Pop bands are simple and catchy. ABBA is way more complicated and very harmonic. Something that pop bands before and now are not. ABBA is out of this world. Definitely one of the greatest bands ever existed.

I was stationed in Germany during their rise to fame and attended their concert in Hamburg. I was an instant fan; love their music and the movie "Mama Mia". Looking forward to their upcoming album.
I never got bored of any of the ABBA performances. I am Indonesian, but used to live in the Netherlands during the mid 70's right in the middle of ABBA's popularity years. Their songs are unforgettable and bring back so many sweet memories of my childhood and my late parents back. I feel sorry that they had to split from each other.
Hello from another Indonesian, tante (judging from your username)! My grandma was (and maybe still is) an ABBA fan. I grew up listening to them as well. Sorry to hear about your parents’ divorce.
Kinda strange that More than half of the "honourable mentions" were from the album 'Voulez-Vous' yet the title track (one of their best) didn't rate a mention. Very odd.
This video was how I first discovered ABBA was more than "Dancing Queen", and made me want to look into their full albums! Nine years later I'm a huge fan and know all the lyrics to their songs. Thank you!!!
Abba from a throw back time...the sound takes you back to forgotten time when you were young....knew people who simply adored Abba and it was infectious....yes we celebrated every time you heard a strum of piano keys/of a guitar or voices "annoncing" an Abba song and to this day, you hear an Abba song and you get lost in nastalgia....so you're YOU again for a brief tune...comes every now and again Happy New Year 2021!
I love ABBA & am proud to say so! So many great songs. My faves are: SOS Fernando Chiquitita Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) The Winner Takes It All Super Trouper Take A Chance On Me
One of the greatest music groups of all time, and this video and the comments just prove it. The singing, songwriting, arrangements...just all of it have always been superb!
ABBA was slow getting to the US, but I think that was Stig's ultimate objective from the get go. They were so meticulous in the crafting of every single song. They broke out of Sweden-only with the Euro-contest superhit Waterloo, then S.O.S - then they switched language to English (American accent) and put the girls in front, vocals (the boys did back up, and wrote most all the songs). Life is so, so short. I love the fact they were so old fashioned, believed in marriage and family and children. But their careers were so intense, they were superlative cratsmen artisticly. They gave themselves unstintingly to their adoring world audience. Yes they did break into the English-speaking world, almost by surprise. But it was not the USA but Australia. I am an American, and somehow overlooked them when I was young. I am turning into their biggest fan. My favorite is "Winner takes it all."

+Owen Reese I Think All this top 10 songs and Honorable Mentions are Super Popoulat Songs But SOS at #9 and The Winner Takes It All at #6 They are underrated in this ranking... They should be #1 and #2 in my opinion
You forgot The Day before You Came, best by far imho(It belongs between songs like Trans Europa Express from Kraftwerk en Hallogallo from Neu!), followed by The Winner Takes It All. The Visitors is also great.
People often wonder why ABBA is such a guilty pleasure for many. Some cite the obvious Disco influence in some of their songs but that's the thing; only some and certainly not all have that music style so it can't be that. Others cite the fact English wasn't their first language giving the songs an innocent sense and highly accessible nature. I disagree, the lyrics to their songs are actually quite complex and the topics of their songs are often unconventional and deep in a way that it finds its way in everyone's experience either because they can relate to the message or because the music grabs at something that can't be put into words and ABBA is damn good at that. That is no simplistic effort and I'd say they have a better command of the English language than most native English speakers do. So language barriers aren't what makes their songs frothy and childlike to the point they are guilty pleasures because their song catalogue is far from cheap and simple. I truly believe their music is a guilty pleasure for many for the same reason musical theatre is a guilty pleasure for many. It is no coincidence that ABBA's song catalogue is the basis of a smash hit Broadway musical. Their songs have more than just a hint of theatricality in them; they ARE very theatrical. Not only in their sound but also in the way they treat subject matter and how they always seem to be using music to deepen a story, to flesh it out, to make it real and to reach into us all and invoke that which cannot be said via the spoken word. And why is that a reason to want to hide it all and pretend you're less of a fan than you are? It's effective. You can't just be at a bar and hear an ABBA song come on and not feel like time is standing still. ABBA reaches in and pulls you in whether you like it or not. It makes you feel. Disco music with its beats and grand orchestral accompaniment had very much a similar theatricality that many people also resented. I think there is such a thing as music that is too effective; it begins to become intrusive if you don't plan to feel a certain way and it forces you to. Those of us who are able to handle the weight that these songs bring easily adapt and find them to be invigorating. Not everyone is able or willing to do that and so they wait until they are alone to enjoy the music that makes them feel, when they are ready to let their guard down.
I don't believe in bull fight efforts ABBA r a bunch of Aliens have invaded our universe music industry and cool, quietly , quickly and carried away, just look their songs, almost all r best in music but fucking don't resemble each other Let it be fast or soft no all r unique in their category, will stay the best. HS Bafila
the day before you came, the winner takes it all, knowing me knowing you, sos, etc etc . still gives me chills and tears after 35 years. brilliant compositions, arrangements, production, vocals. timeles classics
My top: 10)Knowing Me,Knowing You 9)Lay All Your Love On Me 8)SOS 7)Mamma Mia 6)Super Trouper 5)Money,Money,Money 4)Dancing Queen 3)Take A Chance On Me 2)The Name Of The Game 1)The Winner Takes It All
Knowing Me, Knowing You~ my favourite ABBA song since I can remember, literally. My parents, grandparents, all huge ABBA fans. ✨❤ Now my own daughters love them, too. ☺️❤️ I also remember our bus driver had a various hits 8-track with "Angel Eyes" on it & we'd ask him to play it *every single day* , lol. Poor guy, a bunch of primary aged kids actually *requesting* music on the bus route to & from school. Meatloaf was on it, too & another daily request, lol.
What a band. So many hits that the top 10 feels right until you realize there are so many classics that are all just great songs on the own such as Chiquitita, Angel Eyes, Does your mother know, Honey Honey, Summer night city, Lay all your love on me, our last summer, the day before you came, when all is said and done etc. All of these songs that weren't included in top 10 could be among the top songs of any other band. That's the legend of ABBA, no other band so many awesome songs to their credit.
ColinsCity Yesss, when I watched their 1977 concert on YT and ABBA: The Movie, I was stunned. I’ve Been Waiting For You and He Is Your Brother are also songs that sound good live
My personal top ten favourite ABBA Songs: 10. Lay all your love on me. 9. Take a chance on me. 8. SOS. 7. The Winner Takes it all. 6. Super Trouper. 5. Gimme Gimme Gimme ( A Man after midnight). 4. Mamma Mia. 3. Money Money Money. 2. Waterloo. Honerable Mentions: - Fernando. - Does your mother know. - Knowing me, Knowing you. - Our last Summer. - One of Us. 1. Dancing Queen.
Pretty good list. Good job. 10. Money, Money, Money 9. Voulez Vous 8. Mamma Mia 7. Chaquititia 6. I Have a Dream 5. Knowing Me, Knowing You 4. Waterloo 3. Take a Chance on Me 2. Dancing Queen 1. The Winner Takes It All
10-SOS 9-Take a Chance on Me 8-Hey Hey Helen 7-Ring Ring 6-That's Me 5-The King has Lost his Crown 4-If it wasn't for the Nights 3-Kisses of Fire 2-Angel Eyes 1-Thank you for the Music I personally always hate how everyone only ever seems to focus on the first cd of the ABBA Gold album. Yes the songs are great, but so many of their other great songs go missing. For a change, listen to the second cd, or the five record Readers Digest album!
mbear1 honestly, I feel like ABBA is at the same time overplayed and underappreciated. People instantly think "Dancing Queen" and write them off as a superficial disco band. So much so that the rest of their endless collection of fantastic music is left forgotten. it's unfortunate, as they have a lot of depth to their music :/
mbear1 BBM no they are not ,the entire world already knew who they are ,and how awesome they are ,maybe in US they are underatted ,but i dont know exactly
My current top ten: 10. Should I laugh or cry 9. Rock me 8. Fernando 7. I let the music speak 6. Cassandra 5. When all is said and done 4. The day before you came 3. I am the city 2. Hey, hey Helen 1. Angel Eyes
My favourites are... 1. I'm a Marionette 2. Dancing Queen 3. So Long 4. The Visitors 5. S.O.S. 6. That's Me 7. Hey Hey Helen 8. I Let the Music Speak 9. Knowing Me, Knowing You 10. Lay All Your Love on me
How typical putting Dancing Queen on the top--I agree it's their best known song, so I see why it's there--but as an ABBA fan, it's the one I usually skip when shuffling their songs. How about Andante, Andante, The Visitors (that got them banned in the USSR) or some of the runner ups? It was a TOUGH call--they're a rarity--writing their own music, and the guys playing their own instruments, without computers fixing their voices--can't wait for their new songs coming out in late 2018! :)
Because it’s based off of favorites and success. If you ask me, I think Fernando should’ve been higher because of that though. Fernando and Dancing Queen are ABBA’s biggest singles. Plus the 14 weeks Number 1 in Australia
Honorable mentions include Love Isn't Easy, When I Kissed The Teacher, Eagle, Does Your Mother Know?, Kisses Of Fire, Happy New Year, Our Last Summer, Andante Andante, The Piper, One Of Us, and I Let The Music Speak. Hell it should've been a top 20 or even 30 lol I disagree with most of the list but Mamma Mia, S.O.S, and Dancing Queen definitely belonged there. The Album, Voulez-vous and Super Trouper (my favorite) are damn near perfect albums. Yes I am in love with this band.
My Top Ten Songs that not only didn't make the 19 on 'ABBA Gold', they weren't amongst the 20 selected on the follow up 'More Gold' album either. 1. Gonna Sing You My Lovesong 2. I've Been Waiting For You 3. Tiger 4. My Love My Life 5. Andante Andante 6. One Man One Woman 7. Move On 8. Slipping Through My Fingers 9. That's Me 10. Should I Laugh Or Cry. Let's chuck 'The Piper' in too as a bonus track. Check 'em out. Any other band would kill to produce this stuff. That's how good ABBA were.
La mejor agrupación que e escuchado y visto en estos 46 sños en que los vi por primera ves y a un a pesar de tantos años los sigo viendo y escuchando sus videos como la primera ves que tuve la fortuna de ver sus videos musicales

Kinda strange that More than half of the "honourable mentions" were from the album 'Voulez-Vous' yet the title track (one of their best) didn't rate a mention. Very odd.
I too am an abba fan. ;)
Its my favorite song
This video was how I first discovered ABBA was more than "Dancing Queen", and made me want to look into their full albums! Nine years later I'm a huge fan and know all the lyrics to their songs. Thank you!!!
You know you're an ABBA fan when you know all the songs mentioned and heard in the video by heart XD i could not posibly be more happy to be one
I wonder if there are any other 16 year old guys out there who are extremely into abba as much as I am.
I feel you dude. I'm 17 and I love their songs. lol
pfff I'm 21 xD Yet, I became a fan not that long ago... xD
21 and I love them, not all their songs but enough to call myself a fan.
You should go watch them in swedish
i´m a 14 year old guy and i freaking love this music
Abba from a throw back time...the sound takes you back to forgotten time when you were young....knew people who simply adored Abba and it was infectious....yes we celebrated every time you heard a strum of piano keys/of a guitar or voices "annoncing" an Abba song and to this day, you hear an Abba song and you get lost in nastalgia....so you're YOU again for a brief tune...comes every now and again Happy New Year 2021!
I love ABBA & am proud to say so!
So many great songs. My faves are:
SOS
Fernando
Chiquitita
Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)
The Winner Takes It All
Super Trouper
Take A Chance On Me
One of the greatest music groups of all time, and this video and the comments just prove it.

Underrated:
SOS
The Winner Takes It All
Honorable Mention:
On and On and On (It's in my top 3)
The Name Of The Game
I don't think they're underrated, they're super popular songs
+Owen Reese I Think All this top 10 songs and Honorable Mentions are Super Popoulat Songs But
SOS at #9 and
The Winner Takes It All at #6
They are underrated in this ranking...
HS Bafila
no voulez-vous? that is one of the best they have done.
im surprised its not even on honorable mentions
I'm 15 years old and I have heard every song in this video at least 500 times!
ABBA - The only band who could make you cry and dance at the same time.
Far from the only
Thank you for the music makes me cry
I started loving ABBA when i was 12 years old but now I'm 15, i still love them

+Camilo Garcia Ylasaari I know right! :O
Yes ! This is one of my favorites!
Yass! my favorite song!
god no. Horrendous and facile. It was a sales flop!!
Before they mentioned Dancing Queen I truly believed they saved this song for the winner!
The fact that we all feel like there were missing many song in this video tells you how great this group was.
honestly there all great and i couldnt pick just one favorite
Couldn't agree more.
the day before you came, the winner takes it all, knowing me knowing you, sos, etc etc . still gives me chills and tears after 35 years. brilliant compositions, arrangements, production, vocals. timeles classics
I wasn‘t a big fan of DANCING QUEEN for a long time - and then one day it HIT ME 1000%!
Il n'est jamais trop tard ! 😂😂
It's not my favourite ABBA song but it's definitely one of their best
Proud to say that I sang along with all of these songs

5)Money,Money,Money
4)Dancing Queen

No Fernando?
Steven Cuff no
Fernando would be in a worthy place at number 12 behind The Name Of The Game
I have to fix this top though
I also really like head over heels
I miss "The day before you came" - ABBAs last track and really a great one.
And I miss "Slipping through my fingers" and "our last summer"
One of us was the last song
"My Love, My Life" is probably the least known and most underrated song of ABBA. IMO, it's one of their best songs.
Jo Gat
It is my favorite ABBA song, but it isn’t the most underrated. Maybe songs from Ring-Ring have underrated songs like I Am Just A Girl
"My Love,My Life" is a masterpiece ( and that's saying something with ABBA).Be in the top 5,certainly.
OMG yeesssssss!!!!!
Dancing queen is my favourite
Dancing queen will never get old man never
Knowing Me, Knowing You~ my favourite ABBA song since I can remember, literally. My parents, grandparents, all huge ABBA fans. ✨❤ Now my own daughters love them, too. ☺️❤️
I also remember our bus driver had a various hits 8-track with "Angel Eyes" on it & we'd ask him to play it *every single day* , lol.
So many ABBA songs that are a little stranger, like “I Am The City”, “Tiger”, “Me and I”, etc are so underrated!
Reshapre Your Mind Tiger is the best the live performance i always love watching so much :D
ColinsCity
Yesss, when I watched their 1977 concert on YT and ABBA: The Movie, I was stunned. I’ve Been Waiting For You and He Is Your Brother are also songs that sound good live
Me and I always makes me tearful
I love Tiger.

I personally always hate how everyone only ever seems to focus on the first cd of the ABBA Gold album. Yes the songs are great, but so many of their other great songs go missing. For a change, listen to the second cd, or the five record Readers Digest album!
Just the best band ever. Music is ethereal and eternal. Vocals which will never be matched. So good to live during Abba times
Was there any doubt Dancing Queen would be #1? Great list, great group!
My favorites are Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen. I love them soo much. (:
Me too, and happy New Years as well
Chiquitita all the way
What happened with. THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC ? Absolutely a MASTERPIECE!!!!!
Mockingjay "HASTA MAÑANA" is such a simple yet well built song, beautiful melody and beautifuly sang. Should be included also.
Gime gime gime uf una obra de arte 💽👌💯 el tono es algo increíble 👍
ABBA has always been underrated (imo). The singing and music are deceptively complicated.
mbear1 honestly, I feel like ABBA is at the same time overplayed and underappreciated. People instantly think "Dancing Queen" and write them off as a superficial disco band. So much so that the rest of their endless collection of fantastic music is left forgotten. it's unfortunate, as they have a lot of depth to their music :/
mbear1 Especially the piano fills in SOS.
mbear1 Underrated?? How?
mbear1 BBM no they are not ,the entire world already knew who they are ,and how awesome they are ,maybe in US they are underatted ,but i dont know exactly
My current top ten:
10. Should I laugh or cry

5. When all is said and done
4. The day before you came

5. S.O.S.
6. That's Me
7. Hey Hey Helen
8. I Let the Music Speak
9. Knowing Me, Knowing You
10. Lay All Your Love on me
I could not go trough the list without stopping at every song, searching youtube for it and listening it.
The Visitors is my all time favorite! But I love them all too!
i've been waiting for you is one of my favourites
ABBA ist die beste Band der Welt
Whoa, I understand German(is that German?)!
@@priyajohn9198 Yeah, that's German.
Kaylyn Zoe 2 years late but you forgot angel eyes
These guys are very talented, I love every single one of them
Their mysic brings back so many memories. I remember my parents always play them in the morning and evening :")
Mama Mia is still my favorite! Frida will always be my Dancing Queen.
(Visible Confusion)
Frida forever!
"Lay All Your Love On Me" is my favourite... 😔😔
The Name of the Game? How can you leave that out, that is just outright ludicrous. That is probably Top 3 in ABBA songs.
I totally agree , one of their best songs period
Yesssss!
Definitely my number 2
Honestly ABBA is the pop band with the most hits I know, for me the best ever. Thank you for the music ABBA.
What great memories there songs bring back from the 70s. A great time to be alive !
Voulez-Vous?!?!? (Aha!)
Take it now or leave it (ah ha)
Nothing promised, no regrets
Voulez-vous? Now is all we get!
La Question c‘est voulez-vous?!?👍🏻😆
Voulez vous (ah-ha) Ain't no big decision (ah-ha)
Charlotte Mulcahy people everywhere, a sense of expectation, hanging in the air👅👅
Oh I just cant get enough of ABBA.they are my all time favorite group.i like all their songs
