- On my first ever solo canoe trip I discover the importance of good equipment. Some boots are made for walking but not the ones I wore on this trip.
Getting lost and then finding my way is part of the adventure of this trip as I venture off into the Canadian wilderness on my own.

I also needed a hot shower after watching that, it made me feel cold. Summer storms are here in Australia now my friend, it's a little warmer than what it looked on your video.
My Mrs had the same problem with her, brand new Thai hiking boots on her first visit here when I took her to the desert, only the glue melted from the heat and we had to tape them on to get her back. Air temp' was 44C that day, I have no idea of the temp' on the ground but her boots lasted less than 1km of walking!
We live 2500k's away now on the coast, and her footwear is much more suitable.
Great video mate, reminded me so much of Algonquin Park, I appreciate your time showing us around your neck of the woods.

Nice one Glen, great adventure .....would love to do that....at least you had the melody of cat to keep you company, sure that fall was not a ploy at the end to be taken care of hopefully by the fairer sex...but then again one look at those boots she would run a mile..my old granddad used to say shoe's makes the man....lol 😋😋😋😋

It’s funny because my brother was carrying bags of groceries down to the house when it happened to him he went down.. was really pissed because he landed on his potato chips 😆. He told me he takes a ppair of pliers and squeezes the grommets closed now
Yep that's the problem with any shoes that are glued..they don't last. Stitched is the way to go, expensive yes.
