- A new friend offered to take me on her favourite hike as I experience an amazing trail full of varied terrain and incredible views on a gorgeous day. Along the way she teaches me about the flora, the work behind those responsible for creating and maintaining the trail, and also the stresses to the area due to overuse. Along the way I try rock tripe as an initiation, find an odd semi-permanent structure, and bushwhack off-trail which entails climbing a cliff to get back to the main trail when we hit a dead end. It was a full day of fun and adventure exploring and seeing the land come alive in early spring. This 21km trail is an out and back, and would be considered moderately challenging.
Amazing hike we’ll recommend in the summer as long as your okay with bugs lol me and my buddy’s had a good time once the sun went down we would just stoke the fire real good get it going big no bugs then 🔥
Nice! Beautiful area for hiking, camping and nice fires. 👌
I knew exactly what those gloves were used for as soon as I seen them lol!
😄 Do you work in the industry??
@@ThePursuitofPassion Lol nope! I used to watch this show on T.V. about a vet who went to a lot of farms that had cattle and horses. They showed everything on the show lol!
Lovely hike
Thanks!
Wanted to stop by and say hello from Michigan! We saw someone mentioning your channel on Canoehound Adventures Livestream last night and wanted to support Cheers Colleen and Jonny
Cool! Thanks for swinging by. Its a great community of sharing and connecting.
OMG, those pants! What was I thinking? I think I would've been better off risking getting shot by a hunter. LOL.
😆 Hey, they say colour is a reflection of one's personality! 😉😜
Great hike! She was so informative. Love foraging stuff!
It certainly was! Yes, indeed she was. Always a pleasure to hike and learn from others. Cool, I certainly do forage a bit on my trips, but now have some new options. :-) Thanks for dropping by.
@@ThePursuitofPassion Thanks for posting such an in depth video! Defiantly, I've got a few more options to pick from too now. Cheers.
I was just there! The parking lot was also flooded!
Wow, still???! Seems a bit late in the season for that. Weird. Hope you had a good hike!
@@ThePursuitofPassion Well, it has been the wettest 30 days in the history (I think) of Southern ON so the 5+ inches of rain that we received just last week might have had something to do with that.
At least in your video, there were no bylaw officers ticketing people for parking on the ramp or towing their cars away.
@Philip L I see! Good point. Must have been chaotic. Glad I wasn't there!
Nice spot for sure. The garbage I’ve come across plenty of times and I just can’t come to terms with it.
But on a good note David your now prepared should you be knee deep in shit 🤣
See you on the next one👍
😂 True!!! Too funny. Yeah, too bad re garbage. But definitely a great location for a hike. Thanks for the laugh Marc!
Interesting question you pose... will they eventually dismantle their 'winter palace' or not? I personally wish people wouldn't do this type of thing. Plenty of spots along the Murray where you find this too.
Yeah. I don't have a problem with people doing bushcraft, but its what's left. They need to take responsibility to clean and remove everything when they are done. I hear ya.
Would have been funny if Louise said, 'now these ones have been washed David, so they are good to go' 15:55
😂 That would have certainly got a look from me! 💩😬 Thanks Rob!
We are currently offering a special price for those vapour barrier socks David! Two for the low low price of.... just kidding!
😆 I bet you would sell them!
