Barbara Hale, everyone's actress and so elegant. Raymond Burr's type as well whether in movies or television series. They are both so loved and brought so much joy into millions of lives. Both unforgettable as well.
I read an article when she died that claimed she was one of the VERY few Hollywood stars about whom NOBODY had a bad word to say. A classy and gracious lady right to the end.
Watching Barbra hale signing autographs. Shows she is just as beautiful now as she was on perry mason she still has class and loves her fans and fans love her this fan still watches and loves her too Judith jax fl
She looks GREAT!!! Just started watching Perry Mason again. I watch a great deal of ME TV. It is my drug and escape of choice when I want to get away from the nation's miserableness, the world's insanity and my own problems. ME TV is like traveling in a time capsule. I can just get away, pretend I'm a kid again with no cares, no responsibilities and no politics or none that I cared about. That gets me down and METV is a great escape and better for you than drugs or alcohol! Barbara, you look amazing and wonderful. Thank you for all the great entertainment. I wish Raymond Burr were still with us. He had a charisma and an acting style that was riveting. Miss those days for sure!
yes, I tape it 5 day a week on my dvd, my 13 year old son taught me how to use it! Those shows have aged well, and the stories and most of the acting is very good. Since they are legal shows, most of it is still currant law, plus I saw a lot of them in the mid 60's I was too young for the 50's years PM, so they are new to me
@@sparklermp70 I think they would have made a lovely couple. Barbara Hale's real life son was William Katt, he used to act; but have not seen him for awhile.
Barbara is the epitome of "class". I have always adored her. Oh, how I wish I could meet her and have a chat. She is truly one of a kind...yep, a classy, classy woman, and still SO beautiful! Bless you, dear lady and may you have many more trips around the sun!
She was a real beauty, and perfect in the role of Della Street. No-one could ever take her place. I always smile every time Paul Drake walks in and says: Hi beautiful...😍😍😍
I had forgotten that William Katt from The Greatest American Hero was Ms. Hale's son. But this video compelled me to check her biography and take a trip down memory lane. Thanks for the video!
God bless this dear lady. I loved it when she could get Perry Mason to do what she thought was best. No one could tell him what to do but Della. She had him wrapped around her finger. They had such powerful chemistry on screen I've always wondered if the chemistry was that strong when they weren't in front of the camera . Raymond Burr was a great actor. Together with William Hopper they made one of the greatest shows ever on television .
Raymond Burr was gay, but later on in yrs, he and his partner had a rose "garden" where he developed a rose and named it after her. They were the best of friends, I read.
Is anyone NOT gay. Why do we always have to know someone's sexual preference. What does it matter. One of the impressive things about 'Perry Mason' episodes is that, at that time, it was common for men to link arms when walking - even Tragg and Mason would walk arm-in-arm. Women, too. It was completely natural. Now, that can't be done because everyone is so hypersensitized. Congratulations.
When I was growing up, you don't know how much I wanted to be a Della Street type of secretary. She was such an inspiration to me when I was a kid. Granted I never became a legal secretary (or paralegal) but her work ethics are still with me to this day.
*Trump's High SchooL grades, were so Bad, that Trump was NOT ALLOWED* *to get into Trump University!!!!* =========================================================== *On Another, Issue, Nancy Grace was FALSELY Accused of causing the* *Suicide ov a Psycho Nut Job, to whom she interViewed!!!* *There, I just had to Get that out!!!!*
I love the Perry Mason shows and always thought that Barbra Hales's character stole the show. She was beautiful then and right up to the end...absolutely ageless !!
The character of Della Street was the forerunner of all of the "independent women", such as Mary Richards who came to the forefront in the seventies. She was intelligent, classy, independent, feminine, and taught me a woman had many options other than marriage and motherhood. She was a role model for many women of my generation.
I watch Perry Mason onMeTV @9am & 1130pm est .. did you know that her husband appeared at least twice on the classic episodes and with her son William Katt (Paul Drake, jr) in the two hour movies.
I can't take my eyes off of Jeanne Cooper a/k/a Katherine Chancellor, the "Dame of Genoa City," on "The Young and the Restless to the right of Miss Barbara Hale - great video!! RIP Miss Cooper
Della Street, I believed, was the most gorgeous woman I'd seen. I used to watch her in the '60's and today, I hardly ever miss PM on METV. She was born in Dekalb, about 45 minutes away. If she ever comes back, I will make a effort to see her and thank her for style, class, and beauty.
What fun to see this...you don't just look great, you seem to be having a good time...wish I were there....a fan. My husband works from 4 am to 9 so we can get back for Perry on MeTv. I hope I look half that good at 90!!!
We're watching the series Vegas on Netflix. The character Katherine has to be modeled after Barbara Hale's Della Street: same dignity, grace, and intelligence. Nice work, Vegas creators!
God bless Barbara. She is a national treasure. Though Raymond Burr lived long enough to see Perry Mason become a cult favorite, sadly William Hopper, who played Paul Drake (he died of a stroke in 1970) and William Talman, who played DA Burger (he died of lung cancer in 1968) would not. You know, it's such a shame that it's so hard to find good, honest legal help these days. See, the problem with my brother and me is we're recidivists--habitual criminal offenders. No attorney wants to go near us. I gotta find him a lawyer, and I don't know what I'm gonna do... The D.A. was Burger The cop was Tragg Della was the secretary Drake sat on the desk with Perry
Can anyone answer who the gentleman is to the left of Barbra Hale? I've seen him with Piper laurie and another star whose name escapes me. He's collected money on behalf of Piper Laurie for photos. Could this be an agent/manager who's never retired? If anyone can answer, these questions, I would truly be grateful. Thanks Boy Culture for an outstanding job of labeling who the various artists are, which is a great help to me. Thank you!
(Boy Culture replies): This is Marvin Paige, an old-time casting director (Breakfast at Tiffany's, etc.) who worked a lot in the way you describe with older stars. He died at 86 a year and a couple months after I shot this.
Jennie Cooper and Barbra Hale must have had big fun together down though the years. And now that Mrs C is gone I know Ms Hale have some beautiful memories of her dear friend.
I am watching Perry Mason right now. I thought I’d look up Barbara Hale at the commercial. It reminds me of the time when people had class in this country.. men used to wear suits white shirts and ties to take their wife out to dinner. People got their shoes shined. We weren’t told every stupid meaningless fact about every celebrity like they do it today... cars back then had class also. You could tell every year apart. Today you have a hard time telling what decade cars were made in. They’re all made of ticky-tacky and they all look the same today.. I just found out January 2020 that Barbara Hale was married to Bill Williams from 1946 to 1992. The whole time she was Perry Mason secretary. Her name was Barbara hale but I will always think of her as della street
Geez. My mom asked me to look up Barbara Hale because as a girl she use to mock her and her job as the court stenographer/Secretary on Perry Mason. I google the name, I see this video, I show her.......going crazy like a Beatles fan girl. 😀
Barbara Hale, everyone's actress and so elegant. Raymond Burr's type as well whether in movies or television series. They are both so loved and brought so much joy into millions of lives. Both unforgettable as well.
Barbara Hale is a living doll! She looks beautiful and is gracious and kind. I wish her many more happy years.
I read an article when she died that claimed she was one of the VERY few Hollywood stars about whom NOBODY had a bad word to say. A classy and gracious lady right to the end.
She looks amazing even at 90 years old I would have loved to have met her. Rest in peace to Raymond Burr & Barbara they did a wonderful job
90 years young and still looks great and sharp as she was in 1956. Thanks for all those years of memorial entertainment god bless you
She looks 20 years younger. Amazing !!
*Robert, WUT a Fucking LIAR!!!*
Robert Sprecker.
She still has that same laugh, chukle that would always put a smile on my face.
Boy, she still has that special, beautiful smile ! !😄
We lost a national treasure when she passed. We still have her on film forever.
She's still beautiful as ever. God bless her.

+califdad4 yep; good stuff.
Wow..she looks amazing. Looks like her mind is still at 100% too. Great that she still gets out and seems to love the attention she so deserves.
At any age, that kind of scene is nerve-wracking and exhausting. She is fabulous.
Barbara Hale was simply a wonderful great lady. Great beauty, great personality. Missed very much....
Kool to see the elders in good health & enjoying the fruits of their labor...
Barbara Hale looks great at 90. She is a special lady with special talents.
She is beautiful and her hair is still pretty. I love looking at the old Perry Mason shows.
Pretty lady, still watch the old Perry Mason shows.
Mary Jo Braun me too. I’m actually watching now. I’m trying to figure out if Della and Perry ever married In one of the Perry Mason episodes

Loved the show and the star Barbara Hale, the best secretary in the biz!
She is beautiful and still has that smile. For her to put up with all the noise and fan demands at 90! Pure class and graciousness. What a true lady.
Its wonderful to see Barbara! I LOVE her! Perry Mason is my all time favorite show! All the best to you Barbara!!!
She looks just amazing and so full of life and fun.
I loved the costume with the DS pin she had on Perry Mason.
She was a real beauty, and perfect in the role of Della Street. No-one could ever take her place. I always smile every time Paul Drake walks in and says: Hi beautiful...😍😍😍
You just made my day. Such a gorgeous, lovely lady. THANKS so much!
she is one of the most eloquent women ever to grace the screen . Total class .....

I tape the show every day and watch it. As Paul Drake would say 'you're looking great beautiful!'
I tape it every day, too! It comes on in the morning and then another episode at night!

Still a beautiful lady. Hated to hear of her passing.
Love this actress 💕🤗🤙🌺
Gorgeous at 90 ! What’s more, so open & with it !
Thought she had passed away. She is one of TV's greats
It's astonishing to me that she's the last remaining cast member of Perry Mason. I didn't know that Willam Kratt was her son. :)
She's still kicking...age 94.
I loved her as Della Street on Perry Mason. That looks like Julie Adams just up from her in the white blouse.
The character of Della Street was the forerunner of all of the "independent women", such as Mary Richards who came to the forefront in the seventies. She was intelligent, classy, independent, feminine, and taught me a woman had many options other than marriage and motherhood. She was a role model for many women of my generation.
Awesome. She's having the time of her life, lol. :)
