- In this video, I deconstruct the school bus rear half down to the floor. I then rebuild the rear half back together to haul my jeep on it.
If you haven't watched the first two videos in the series, watch them here:

Thanks bud!!
That was a boatload of work, holy cow. It's looking really nice so far!
Thanks! It's coming along very well so far. Can't wait to try it out!
Super cool! Much easier than I thought it was gonna be!
It wasn't too bad! Definitely a lot more work than portrayed in the video but it was all just time taking work and not difficult.
Cant wait to see the end result .. its looks like it’s coming along nicely 🤙🏽🔥🤙🏽
It definitely is coming along!
Nice job! I need to come by and see it!
That you do! It's coming along!
Been looking at doing a flatbed school bus for awhile... any advice on the legal side of registering it? I just want a long hauler
Most states will allow you to register it as a motorhome/rv if you have specific conversion items in it, such as toilet, kitchen or whatever. Its not usually too bad. Here in Washington was super easy.
I would be a little concerned with how much the bed will drop toward the tires when you park a Jeep up there... that clearance looks a little short. Here's hoping I'm wrong. Also no update on the weight removed? You told us to guess last week and then didn't address it again.
I still need to weight the completed bus to make the video complete!
The bus has air ride suspension. So it automatically adjusts to whatever weight is on the back. Assuming that it should adjust to the jeep because it normally has to hold the weight of the structure in addition to the weight of all the kids and their backpacks.
@@4WDTrek True, but it also had inches more clearance to do so. Sitting still is not the same as moving down the road. It should be fine most of the time, but when you hit a pothole or a bump the travel will take a second to resolve itself.
Thats the reason of cutting the clearance out. I should be good. It's hard to tell from the video, but the outside edge of the angle steel is on the outside of the tread. So it's more of the bulge of the tire that will go up. Which gives more upward travel clearance
@@4WDTrek Cool. Must have just been the camera angle I guess. Still loving this series!
@@jabbott6748 Thanks bud! Its coming along nicely!
