when chris saw he was wasting his time with stupid questions he entered into troll mode, ha ha, saying he didn't hang out with hendrix 'cause he was a child, or that his parents were still living in Seattle
Thanks for uploading the full interview. I've only come across the part where the silly interviewer says "but it's so loud, and Chris says "yeah can you believe it" Love it when he says back the only thing I have in common with Jimi Hendrix is that both our parents are from Seattle lol.
It's been 50 years ago today that you left us beloved Jimi. We will never forget you. You were the first person of Rock that I could identify with, because well you looked like me, as far as being black, and you made it okay to be eccentric, to dare to dream about loving Rock Music, I'm sorry you didn't live long, enough to see just how you influenced all people. Thank you so much Mr. James Marshall Hendrix, a true fucking Rockstar!🤘🖤🤘🖤🤘🖤. Love you Chris, true Rockstars.
This Dutch guy, named Jan Douwe Kroeske was notorious for his awkward interviews. He once asked Anthony Kiedis from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers: "Your music is kinda funky he? Kiedis: "That's a true statement"
I love the moment in which the interviewer says "I like some part of it" and Chris was like "uh thank you very much " 😂.... You can tell he was struggling to make this jackass understand that although they were both born in Seattle, surprisingly, he and Hendrix didn't have many occasions to hang out
Ah yes, I still remembered the general idea of this interview. Always remebered how the interviewer came up with the dumbest remarks ever: that it is just so loud all over. facepalm :-/
This is a short, but funny interview that Chris did right after the Soundgarden concert at Pinkpop '92. Chris has such a fun-loving sense of humor! He later played there again three times: in 2003 with Audioslave, in 2009 during his Scream tour and in 2012 with Soundgarden. Anyone ever at a Pinkpop Festival to see these concerts?
2:21 when the idiot journo claps Chris's shoulder, it's like NOOOOO HE'S TOUCHING A LEGEND AND HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW IT!!!! Chris just looked like the breath was knocked out of him and his knees buckled.
Cornell is a truly great guy. Reporter asks dumb question which pisses him off, but instead of being hostile, he uses sarcasm and turns the Convo friendly again to the point the reporter even puts his hand on Cornell at the end. He didn't wanna embarrass the reporter. Other musicians would have handled it less well
The interviewer is a notorious fuckmuppet. He barely even speaks English and Chris's jokes and jabs completely go over his head. He doesn't know the first thing about music and even less about the people he's interviewing. And on top of that he's being downright insulting to Chris. Which I'm sure he'll just brush off with that classic 'Oh it's just Dutch directness'(It's not. I'm Dutch. He's a massive twatwaffle.) His interview with Pearl Jam is somehow even worse than this.
Don't know, but if you watch the Slaves and Bulldozers video from this event he puts the megaphone over the guitar and start singing into the megaphone while the guitar's above it. It's pretty awesome, but it's "VERY LOUD, I DON'T KNOW WHY IT'S SO LOUD!" lol
That interviewer (Kroeske) was known to be totally into britpop, post-punk style like the cure and the smiths, since he was a dj for a dutch station he didnt have to know much about learning english... but they didnt have a better interviewer at that time, he has always been a bit "slow"
@Aerofighters What is the deal with those stickers and shirts, Ive noticed other interviews where chris and matt have those shirts. I was finishing highschool in the 90's and I dont ever remember seeing them.
I think he handled that interviewer very well.....like "con" said.....GREAT sarcasm!..... "but it's so constantly loud...all the time" "yeah!...can ya believe it!?!" hahahahahhaa
@sittnonchrome Word on the street, I've asked this on the epic version of Slaves & Bulldozers on UA-cam; apparently Chris started a "90" fashion label. I've been looking for it, but nothing comes up.
@evaboon1980 woahhhh he's got blonde hair, how can you tell he's flemish, or dutch if not german. The dutch don't have blonde hair. Flems? I have no clue.
"it's loud constantly"
" i know, can you believe it? "
[awkward pause]
hahahaha
@No One Actually, I thought it was one of the funniest things I´ve ever seen! ;D Different strokes for different folks.
BEST INTERVIEW FLIP EVER!!!! 😂😂😂😂💚LL
"I know, can you believe it?" lol. Genius!
The absolute silence afterwards. That’s perfection
The guys from Soundgarden and Nirvana trolled the hell out of interviewers back then. miss those days.
Grunge mentality. :)
And Mr. Jimi Hendrix?
“I was 2 years old and we didn’t get to hang out much.” 🤣🤣🤣
Great response.
"When the audience is wet..." - The minute the guy said that Chris starts smiling! Dirty mind, lol!
😅 se nota el gran esfuerzo que hace para no contestar 🤣🤣🤣
LOL good catch
"Hes lying to you people, hes lying he hates it"
XD hahahaha
cornell has great sarcasm, very intellegent guy
Lesson one....Dont insult the person you are interviewing. Lesson two...Dont be such a doofus when speaking to a rock god.
CC is amazing!
I still can't believe he's gone. It feels like the death of a relative or a close friend. I'm always going to miss this man.
That is priceless! What a great piece of footage that is.
when chris saw he was wasting his time with stupid questions he entered into troll mode, ha ha, saying he didn't hang out with hendrix 'cause he was a child, or that his parents were still living in Seattle
I love when Chris embarasses the interviewer asking "are you saying you don't like it?" Hahaha nice!
Thanks for uploading the full interview. I've only come across the part where the silly interviewer says "but it's so loud, and Chris says "yeah can you believe it" Love it when he says back the only thing I have in common with Jimi Hendrix is that both our parents are from Seattle lol.
I love Cornell's responses LOL If only a real Soundgarden fan could've talked to him instead of this guy :(
"I was probably about 2 years old, so I didn't hang with him much."
Chris was a real good sport, dealing with such a moron and all.
"I know can you believe it?" hahahahaha I think the interviewer almost died from fear after Chris said that.
yea thats my man chris, dont take anyones bs
u are god!
make as much noise as humanly possible
cause ill be a fan 4 life!!!
love ya bro, beyond death
"yeah when he was playing clubs in seattle, i was probably 2years old so i didnt hang with him much..."
haha funny stuff
And today , he was here at pinkpop again, one of the best today.
What idiotic questions. He gave Cornell nothing to work with
I disagree, he said plenty of dumb shit for Chris to joke about. Quality content
I agree
This guy say's Chris Coleman from Soundgarden LMAO!!
Oh my god, this is amazing.. "But it's so loud"... "I know, can you believe it?"
Chris is pissing him up and down his back.
It's been 50 years ago today that you left us beloved Jimi. We will never forget you. Damn those eyes!!!!!!!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! THOSE EYES! He was and still smoking hot *o*
chris's responses are hilarious. its too bad he didnt bash that interviewer in the face with that megaphone. he deserved it
Chris is 6”2 this guy must be a giant!
I thought he was about 5.9 feet for years because of this interview haha
This Dutch guy, named Jan Douwe Kroeske was notorious for his awkward interviews. He once asked Anthony Kiedis from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers: "Your music is kinda funky he? Kiedis: "That's a true statement"
Chris fucking OWNS the reporter. This is why I love him so fucking much
OMG!!!! I love this guy! "it's constantly loud... I know!!! can you believe it???" LMAO!!!
I think Chris was thinking something dirty at 0:08 when the interviewer said "when the audience is wet" LOL. Chris gave a smile.
I love the moment in which the interviewer says "I like some part of it" and Chris was like "uh thank you very much " 😂.... You can tell he was struggling to make this jackass understand that although they were both born in Seattle, surprisingly, he and Hendrix didn't have many occasions to hang out
this guy should do every interview. not just every one at pinkpop, or every interview with a musician. every interview.
lmao "yeah can you believe it?" pause lol
Chris Cornell's sardonic sense of humor. Love it.
Ah yes, I still remembered the general idea of this interview.
Always remebered how the interviewer came up with the dumbest remarks ever: that it is just so loud all over. facepalm :-/

greatest interview ever. Chris is my hero.
awesome thanks!!!
You're FIRED!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! This is great. Gotta love it. The old Chris IS funny. Very tongue in cheek.
You can tell Chris (at 6’4”) is a bit taken back when he first looks up at this dude like wtf😂
The dude didn't even get Chris's name right! AH! So priceless. Thanks, Chris!
2:35 he said: “let me translate, Chris Collmen” or something weird like that, but it wasn’t Cornell😂 i speak the same language as him
'It's constantly loud...'
'I know, can you believe it? =D'
'...'
'=D'
lol I love Chris xD And his hair is awesome.
2:21 when the idiot journo claps Chris's shoulder, it's like NOOOOO HE'S TOUCHING A LEGEND AND HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW IT!!!! Chris just looked like the breath was knocked out of him and his knees buckled.
I'm sure he was thinking I wish this MF would get off me...
Spashaei He was too polite to say "you're not worthy to stand in presence, you misguided, misinformed simpleton."
He calls him Chris Coleman at the end, the guy doesn't even know who he's talking to.
The interviewer obviously doesn’t understand that when you crank Soundgarden up full on what ever listening device, the sound is even better!
Haha Cornell is hilarious
Loud Love ❤️
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH genius! This is my favorite kind of humor.
The genes of this interviewer geez
seattle is the land of the best rock n' roll

HAHA this interview is hillarious!!!!!
Wasn't Chris like 6'2"? Is he being interviewed by a giant
LMFAO!!! you the man dude!!! cant stop laughing!!! HAHAHAHA
That interviewer (Kroeske) was known to be totally into britpop, post-punk style like the cure and the smiths, since he was a dj for a dutch station he didnt have to know much about learning english... but they didnt have a better interviewer at that time, he has always been a bit "slow"
yes...his name was and still is...
Jan Douwe Kroeske
really square figure yes...we dont hear much of him anymore nowadays...
Um... did the interviewer refer to him as Chris Coleman...?
Day. Made.
I believe it's an old skateboarding/surfing company possibly snowboarding. Chris rocked this gear as well as some pj members. I really want one.
Lol the interviewer made 6' 3" Chris Cornell look short haha.
"yeah..... yeah" (smirk)
i love that
i love him...he was so cool bak then XD
I understand Chris with the mega phone. I bought one while in college, great ice breaker. I want that '90 STICKER!!!!
Why is the die hard villain interviewing
Chris Cornell is a pretty funny guy, I sure hope he follows through with the rumors about soundgarden getting back together.
Chris Coleman???
Legend
well he was already a rock icon. this was a year afer badmotorfinger and soundgarden were one of the headliners.
you said it chris get back like this
@Aerofighters What is the deal with those stickers and shirts, Ive noticed other interviews where chris and matt have those shirts. I was finishing highschool in the 90's and I dont ever remember seeing them.
He is the best
I think he handled that interviewer very well.....like "con" said.....GREAT sarcasm!.....
"but it's so constantly loud...all the time"
"yeah!...can ya believe it!?!" hahahahahhaa
I'm sure he could've come up with better questions though, instead of asking about volume.

He was too good for this fukd up world

I accidently paused at 1:17...I feel like I've been caught doing some wrong and dirty.
hahaha. i love how chris made it uncomfortable for the interviewer. he deserved it for sure.
Who gave this guy a job as an interviewer?
CHRIS COLEMAN LOL!!! P.S what's that logo on his shirt and megaphone...I've seen various members wear that logo...anyone know what it signifies?
Chris F-ing Cornell. His grunge days were DA shit!
@evaboon1980 woahhhh he's got blonde hair, how can you tell he's flemish, or dutch if not german. The dutch don't have blonde hair. Flems? I have no clue.
Its too loud, its too loud, its fucking loud. Its fucking Soundgarden man its suppose to be loud.
hahaha, wow, that interviewer was asking for that... duuumb questions!
