Carson I have the Gear S3 Frontier and I am going with the Series 4 and Xs Max instead of the Note9 and this watch. I had the Note8 with my Gear S3 but the watch stopped receiving text and the fitness tracking is way off for certain exercises.
Carson I had sworn off Apple after buying the Note 2. Bought every Note over the iPhone. I grabbed the iPhone X in May and now I use it daily. Sold my Note8. Still getting the Xs Max because I love the bigger screen. iOS is boring but it works. I am taking a break from Android I guess.
+DJ GMONEY Lao have fun with your downgrade if you stopped recieveing texts then thats an issue with your plan not the phone. And fitness tracking is amoung the best with samsung. Right when the best note comes out you go for the worst phone...yah seems legit. Not
My Gear S3 tracks sleep automatically, something that's not a feature on the latest apple watch(series 4). I'd say, Samsung's smartwatch has everything you need. More apps means more distractions on the wrist, you just need fitness tracking, sleep management, notifications, calls, alarm, good looks of the watch, which gear S3 or galaxy watch has! And good battery too!!
True. But as far as my usage goes, I never needed an EKG or send anything to a doctor. I rarely ever go to a doctor. Those "features" are just a gimmick to my case. and sleep tracking is more important to me as I keep track of my sleeping habits. Maybe cuz I have a good sleeping habits, that i never needed to contact a doctor anyway. Apple watch is great for people who are into iOS ecosystem. I'm just talking about my case, so it doesn't interest me. ✌
Exactly ! I'm satisfied with my Galaxy Watch because it does exactly what I need a smart watch to do without being a "phone on my wrist". Fitness tracking, sleep tracking, calls, and messaging without the distraction of a phone is what I LOVE about my watch. It doesn't malfunction and it tracks everything accurately. I can't lie tho, when it comes to aesthetics, I like the Apple Watch more. Not enough to switch to iPhones and tolerate limited functionality across platforms tho. Samsung Galaxy Watch is awesome.
I have been using the S3 Classic for a year and a half now. Watching this review I see very little in the way of new features. Torso Twist pops up for me too! You can switch that off if you like but I do find the little nudges the watch makes to get me moving is a good idea. Samsung have done a great job, but this watch is nothing new. By the way, using my watch day to day, I don't read emails on it, I don't play games on it. Mostly the health tracking, changing the watch faces, these are the most used features. I have a smartphone in my pocket after all. Compatibility is not an issue. I used my S3 with the Honor 7 and Nokia 8.
I think watches are more like notification center taking calls and health tracking. I feel that we don't need that much more I used android wear on and off for 4 years and just got the galaxy watch
Oh yes those plastic stickers all over the watch, took me some time to take them off too. You pretty much covered everything there is to know about this watch to get a feel of it. Great review as always. I love this watch !
No MST is a complete DEALBREAKER. I use my S3 to pay for stuff at every single place that takes a credit card. I'm definitely NOT ready to give this luxury up!
TheRobbSki Can’t blame but I don’t even use Samsung Pay at all so it’s not a deal breaker, the one thing that is, is that the new Galaxy Watch Active 2 is about come out and it looks pretty promising but I sadly already got my Galaxy Watch.
Have you tried the remote PPT app? It is one of the most impressive and most surprising features of the watch. It works in a way, that wit the rotating bezel, you can control your presentation to go forwards and backwards, but it does it in a such simple way, that it just simulates up and down arrow keys being pressed. That means you can use it for a lot more like scrolling web sites, navigating through a word document etc. And then the best one, in the remote PPT mode, you can use the watch display as your touchpad, essentially being able to control the whole computer. Love this feature
I have one and I'm in love with it, the fact it helps me not stay stationary too long, i can pick any face to go with any outfit (mine is currently the Q watch from Golden Eye 64), the fact I have all my music in one area to swap it without pulling my whole phone out is something I love!
Kronixio I've also used both, the ipad pro is simply in a class of its own at the moment. Which is sad, as there needs to be more competition in the tablet market.
How good is the Bluetooth connectivity with headphones? Do they cut off like the Garmin music models do when worn on the opposite of the receiver side?
I have a question does it work well and does all the function the watch have work well without a Samsung phone just a standard Android phone? I have a Motorola phone
Samsung told me it needed space in the casing, and while the company goes out of its way to say it's not walking away from MST ... frankly, I don't believe them. I think they're going to sunset it as mag stripe readers get less popular over time.
@@TheMrMobile but there are countries which still use MSRs. In India, you womt find any place(literally) with tap to pay or Apple/Android pay and MST was advertised a lot when Samsung Pay was launched in India
@@Uddin232 Even America is behind on NFC enabled card readers. Apparently a lot of other countries are already close to 100% NFC enabled card readers in stores. But that's just what I've heard from people in other countries. I have no experience to confirm that. Besides the America bit. There are still loads of places lacking NFC readers here.
In Australia no one uses the magnetic swipe cards anymore, at least for me for over a decade. I was really surprised to see my parents in America opening up their oversized wallets to pick a card and swiped. It's shocking!
Great review as always sir, and even greater seeing you display the BlackBerry KEY² to pair with it. Not sure if you tried it but did you attempt to setup Samsung Pay on the KEY² and did it work?

My Galaxy Watch uses 10% battery per day with AOD off. My S3 used about 25-30%, so it's been a huge improvement for me.
@@TheMrMobile is it worth to buy the galaxy watch if have the gear s3
@@postnet92 no.
Thank you Mr Mobile for always making a tech experience great. I love your videos.
That ticking is not subtle at all LOL
It's a simulation for the sake of the video. It's a very quiet ticking sound in reality.
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] ah gotcha
I can't get the ticking sound to work on my watch am I doing something wrong?
@@jeffdrexler8372 You have to wind it up first.
Only some watch faces tick tho...
Wooo. What a review. Your reviews are always my favorite, from your pokenow days...
Doing my homework I'm picking up mine tomorrow trying to see if it's worth the 300$
Hey what's the wireless charging dock at 5:20 that you use for the watch?
Mine went black after 3 months. Going through hell trying to get them to send me the UPS shipping container.
Great review as always. I'm wondering if it works as well in terms of notifications with an iPhone.
Will you review samsung galaxy tab s4? Thank you🙏
Well, i asked it to be review because just my curiosity, of course ipad pro is the best tablet out there haha
Rizky Warist iPad is the best tablet. Phone and Watch is very competive.
@Kronixio Have you been sleeping? Tab s4 is better than ipad. I used both galaxy tab and ipad. Even Surface Go is better than iPad Pro.
Kronixio I've also used both, the ipad pro is simply in a class of its own at the moment. Which is sad, as there needs to be more competition in the tablet market.
Tbh, even though apple products aren't my go to. The iPad Pro is pretty cool and good
How good is the Bluetooth connectivity with headphones? Do they cut off like the Garmin music models do when worn on the opposite of the receiver side?
Considering how shitty the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip is , I don't have high hopes for the new Wear OS smartwatches .
Well google assistant is the reason to get wear os. But samsung Galaxy watch is very slick.
I have a question does it work well and does all the function the watch have work well without a Samsung phone just a standard Android phone? I have a Motorola phone
It will work with any Android os phone. Just downloaded the Galaxy wearable app and you're good to go
@@josephzayas3715 Thanks for the feedback
Took me 30 seconds at max to peel of all the plastics bro!! Including the plastics on wireless charger!
10 mins is over exaggeration 😂
Hey was it the 42mm or the 46mm you reviewed? Interested in getting one of these, thank you :)
Wait, no magnetic swipe pay?!? Wth! That was something which made Samsung Pay special
Samsung Pay is not even available in my country but whatever. Majority of POS here are magnetic swipe or EMV. Seeing an NFC POS here is still rare.
I wait for you to review anything im considering to purchase. Your brutally honest.
Shoot, I just pre-ordered the Apple Watch Series 4!
Great review as always sir, and even greater seeing you display the BlackBerry KEY² to pair with it. Not sure if you tried it but did you attempt to setup Samsung Pay on the KEY² and did it work?
