- i was slightly underwhelmed by what we are getting when it comes to the exotic perks on these class items, but i understand that this is something you gotta take slow and steady. also, we got some gameplay of prismatic and bungie is finally making some more stuff free for everyone.

Re-cluttering the buff list because some players might not recognize text on the other side of their screen is such a Bungie decision.
I mean to be fair they were just responding to a lot of feedback. We can't rlly give them too much flack for trying to listen to the players, but I agree, I feel like right side debuffs would be fine. We'd get used to it eventually.

During development, we got a lot of feedback that this was pulling players' eyes to unfamiliar parts of the screen and that it was too much of a change all at once.

They need to revert the change. Putting debuffs back on the left just means we have the same problem as we have now.
Either that or give us an option to choose where do we want buffs/debuffs/activity related buffs on which corner of the screen.

It doesn't specifically call out an element for the first part of the Osmio perk. I'm looking to use storm grenade with osmio+verity.
Filaments with starfire, and osmiomancy with starfire or veritys are what I’m gonna go for. Nade builds on warlock were already good, this gonna be nuts

I'd pick starfire or something else in that situation because the exotic class item version of verities (Spirit of Verity) doesnt give you bonus grenade regen, only a damage bonus

I'm pretty glad exotic class items are after the Day 1, that way I don't have to headache about grinding rolls in those days.

Spirit of renewal and spirit of cyrtarachine are gonna be an interesting combo for hunters, doubling up on survivability.

Plus Frost Armor, Facet of Protection, Heal Clip, Damage Resistance mods, and so on. Hunters are suppose to be squishy thief type character, not the brawny tank. But hey, I won't complain.
Yeeaaah... that change to putting debuffs on the right side of the screen might not have been a bad idea. I don't think it was worth the complaints. Sure it would take some time to get used to but keeping it all in one stack is annoying even if its rotating. The left side just looks so congested.
they should at least include the option to separate debuffs to the right side in the settings tab

I like how Ursa's (or an as of yet unrevealed bear themes exotic that works around getting your super when blocking) is going to work with the new Titan Aspect. I'm definitely going to make a build to prepare for that because it sounds super fun.
I’m pretty sure it is just Ursa’s but, I could be wrong tbh, however yeah the ability to use it with the new aspect is great!

Spirit of osmiomancy + Verity’s is going to be insane. Probably my go to HOWEVER: Stag rift damage reduction + Starfire could be absolutely insane with feed the void as well. Kinda bummed warlocks didn’t get a super self regen based perk but the ones we did get make up for it 100%.

I think for general use I’m going to inmost light/star eater on warlock
If combination blow works with grapple, assassins cowl+syntho prismatic hunters might be just as good if not better than banner of war titans for melee builds
ehhhhhh, Banana of war (healing) still stacks with other banana titans... though otherwise Lorely's solar ends up better in really endgame content like GMs I find (unless everyone else has banana of war on to)
That being said banana of war can just be a little annoying with the constant healing noises lol.
Combination blow doesn't currently work with lethal current so I personally don't think it will buff grapple melee since it is its own ability that over-rides combination blow.

@@disastrousdwarf I assume the way combination blow works is that it only buffs it's own damage and adds a scaling arc damage buff to your neutral melee instead of applying a global melee damage buff.
Would probably need a full rework behind the scenes.

Facet of Command is a combination of Domineering and Hedrons (activates when a titan uses tractor cannon in ViDoc and when something gets frozen)
Looks like ursa furiosa is getting some kind of rework. The new Titan void aspect is going to synergize with it by giving super energy when you block. Could be pretty interesting
I think it’s a new exotic tbh. It would have been called Spirit of the Ursa otherwise. Yeah Ursa/Bear etc etc but it’s the only one that doesn’t follow the naming convention.
I really do wish that let u choose between the buff debuff hud in this video the one with the buffs on the left and debuffs on the right. Having the choice between the two would be great for those who want the extra space

Frost armour looks like its gonna be a"modular" damage resist. My guess is lower stacks are easier to achieve but are decently weaker than woven mail, but high stacks will be stronger than woven mail but harder to reach.
I think the stacks will be gained from picking up stasis shards, so it probably won't be that hard to get to max stacks, unless the cap is really high.
I imagine they'll incorporate it into icefall mantle somehow
Inmost light on warlocks with devour could be very interesting...
they should just make the buffs stay upside (the move diwn if you have less than 4)

Arc hunter assassins cowl and syntho and combination blow sounds pretty sick in many scenarios.
I’d love to be able to decide which buffs and debuffs I’d like to see. Some of them have super obvious environmental ques and some I just don’t really care about.
Verity x Foetracer, star eaters x galanor and Gyrfalcon x assasin are the combos I'll be looking out for.
A little sad that the necrotic grip perk isn't available for other classes, but overall very excited for what's to come.
Ya coulda been cool for other classes to have the thorn/osteo/necrocasm + necrotic grips combo.
Same I wanted that with titan but they gave us severance enclosure so I’m fine with combo it with point contact braces or just syntocepts n use frenzy blade with consecration aspect To have 3 slams since that melee is stronger than frenzy blade n won’t have to rely on shit melee targeting system
@gamesordames9480 exactly my thought. I pretty much only play hunter, but Necrotic grip has been the one thing that makes me wanna play warlock, as thorn has been my favorite exotic since D1.
I’m personally glad it stays with Warlock - part of our class identity is that little poison sub-subclass we have with Necrotic Grip and the WoS. It would feel like the other classes gaining access to our soul buddies
I'm pretty excited for the Warlock one. The Spirit of Osmiomancy is exactly what I wanted and was hoping for.
I’d like having two grenades though. But the Spirit of Vesper sounds cool too!
@progenitor_amborella Honestly, the grenade regen is much more important. Imagine the speed when combined with Transcendence! Plus, it still boosts Coldsnaps, which is what I was planning to use primarily.
Exactly what I was hoping for as well. Pair it with a star-eater buffed needlestorm, feed the void, etc and you become the jack of all trades, master of quite a few actually

A few things worth noting:
1) the possible combinations of Prismatic they talked about in the reveal vidoc was talking about the subclass, not the exotics. Once we got more info and saw that Prismatic only took parts of each subclass, people should have then expected the Exotic Class Items would be similar.
2) would love the debuff and ui be more customizable. The "feedback" as deciding on doing on the left side ui was from internal playtests. It was too jarring to rewrite muscle memory for both a new UI system AND also looking for info on the right (which previously was only for loot or quests, not moment-to-moment gameplay). They also just can't shove more on the left-side above the current "4-buff cluster" because that's where current objective info goes.
3) Based on the last twid, we should be getting new "traditional" exotics as well via Rahools Tier 3 focusing, unlockable Day 1. So while no funkiness with class items during the raid race, the new stuff could still be buggy xD
My basic theory crafted Warlock set up with Prismatic and exotic class armour for general game play:
Weapons: Tusk of the boar, Unforgiven/Recluse (demo + adrenaline junkie and Repulsor Brace + desperate measures, both rolls I currently have), heavy will depend on activity
Prismatic -
Aspects: feed the void and bleak watcher
Grenade: vortex
Melee: arcane needle
Jump: I don’t think I need to say anything
Super: song of flame or Needlestorm
Fragments: I can’t put a definitive choice on this, but one will definitely be the fragment that gives volatile rounds on void nade kills and unraveling rounds on strand melee kills. Additionally if there are any aspects that allow you to get Woven mail and/or void over shield. Ones I do know of include facet of hope for increased class ability regen when having an elemental buff, facet of dawn for radiant when getting powered melee kills and facet of balance to get melee energy back from light damage and grenade energy from dark damage.
Exotic class armour-
Spirit of assassin and spirit of synthos/claw
Spirit of inmost light and spirit of verity/synthos/vesper/Starfire
Spirit of stag and spirit of vesper/Starfire
Spirit of filaments and spirit of Starfire (for when you don’t want to rock feed the void)
Spirit of necrotic and spirit of synthos/claw
Spirit of osmiomancy and spirit of verity/Starfire (not sure how osmiomancy recharge will interact with things like vortex grenades)
Spirit of Apotheosis and spirit of star eaters/harmony
The goal is to use as many abilities as possible and achieve Ascendance as quickly as possible.
Hard disagree with the people complaining about debuffs being on the right side of the screen. It's really not a huge deal to have to glance your eyes to the other side of the screen if that means we can have a more clear view of what buffs and debuffs are currently active. It feels like a very silly reason to roll back that change.
Now that we have a better understanding of what we’ll be getting in final shape, do you think it’d be worth pre-ordering it for that fusion rifle, or whatever it was that can do all elements?
Facet of protection is basically “DR while surrounded”, that was described in the whole dev blog on available abilities and some fragments for prismatic. Facet of dominance is unknown tho, we’ll see what that one does
I really hope there’s ornaments for them or if you can apply them just like regular class items
I think a good middle ground on the armor chase would be if you could focus an exotic effect in one column (so every item will drop with Verity's in the right column or whatever) but the other side you have to grind for.
Maybe, but I find that unlikely. At that point it's a 1/8 chance to get the exact roll you want per run, which seems too easy for Bungie standards. Maybe you could run a significantly harder difficulty to get double perks in both columns, so a 1/16 chance?
I was hoping Scars and Lupi would have been in a different column for a decent support build.

I think it would be cool if we got another set of Exotic Class items in the future that can only roll with one exotic perk.
But that perk can be from any class's armor, and the class item would allow the usage of another piece of Exotic armor like they did in Destiny 1.

the one thing i cannot wait to try is knockout + consecration with frenzied blade for the 3 melee charges, alongside the spirit of severance and spirit of contact. knockout makes your unpowered melee hits to powered arc melee, which make it so everytime you hit with your melee, lightning strikes the enemies and they get jolted , plus when they die they get exploded. then consecration for even more explosions whenever you have your melee charges! the one melee build to rule them all
Inmost light/Contact might be even better. Three melee charges to keep the inmost light buff up is arguably better than severance causing an explosion, especially since consecration already ignites everything it hits
What button do you activate it with?
Yo Datto been watching forever and I know you've been branching out more in terms of content, there are some avenues that I think you could explore and excel at from other game communities that could be cool for destiny 2 like :
1. D2 fashion show - have a private match with X amount of people. Give themes of what you want them to convey with their outfit, slowly kill off the weak options until you get a D2 fashion champion.
2. D2 Randomizer challenge - something like "beating X dungeon but your loadout changes every 10 seconds" or after every encounter something like that, randomized through DIM? Could also be a cool grind to try and solo flawless a dungeon with a changing loadout
3. D2 Bingo - race against Danielle and Jez or whoever on a D2 bingo with different challenges from crucible to nightfall etc
4. two player one controller with Danielle trying to solo a dungeon
5. "Chat chooses my build" type challenge video
6. "Show me your best/worst D2 clips"
I know it's not typically what you do and you may not care about any of this but it could be cool content ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

depends on how much damage the grenades do, gotta remember no fusion nades so thats kinda a big dps hit
The grenades on Prismatic suck for damage, and good luck up keeping Death Throes during a DPS phase after using your super.
There’s already a Verity’s DPS tactic that is situational at best and has higher uptime that Apotheosis, it just uses two Verity’s Warlocks over one.

So will we be able to combine anything from the left column to anything on the right column with in there respective class? Is that correct? Or will it be just as the spreadsheet sits? For instance, you will only ever be able to roll spirit of necrotic with spirit of starfire etc?

Kinda expected to see some of the exotic perks being able to be used on other classes and some probably staying with the own classes but overall it’s still gonna be fun to get rolls of these things
Would love if they introduced exotic focusing but only one perk is focused and the other would be random. Could help if they extended the pools for the class items to be larger.

Bar and charge buffs needs to be in the center below the XP bar. This includes Armor charges and exotic perks like Wormgod’s Caress.
Debuffs need to go back to the right.

I feel like armor charge should have its own dedicated spot on the ui, it’s something that’s constantly utilized and if we could get it off the buffs screen I think it would be beneficial
Yeah, it could be nice as simply another "meter" listed at the bottom left of the screen, alongside your ammo, abilities, and super.
Can you have a regular exotic and the class item on at the same time ?
Necrotic and harmony on warlocks could be wholly busted in pve. Gods throw on like dawn chorus go solar and be able to poison and scorch really well at the same time.
Oh boi, theorycrafting and buildcrafting are my favourite things to do, so here we go, I've been cooking that one since it's been announced...this is a long one, hopefully you see what I'm trying to get at :D
I've seen it mentioned a bunch, and I'll likely also go for the Osmiomancy + Verity, BUT:
Begs the question, what does the Transcendence nade count as? Because Warlock's nade is now going to be stasis/void, so...can Verity work for that? Because if not, I'd rather go with Osmiomancy + Harmony, which also leaves me open with another question:
Does the Transcendence nade override the Song of Flame nade, and if it does, does it do more damage than the Song of Flame nade? My "dream" build would be:
Song of Flame, Feed the Void and either Bleak Watcher or Hellion (in the Prismatic Deep Dive post, they showed the first combination, and it had a total of 5 Fragment slots, I suspect that Feed the Void is the one with 2, if Hellion "only" has 2, I might stick to Bleak Watcher, since having turrets is also funny)
As for the Melee, not sure yet, probably Strand melee just because 3 charges, not sure on that
Nade is very likely going to be either Storm or Threadling, also not sure on that one.
Fragments: TBD, but for now, mainly looking at Facet of Dominance and Purpose
Gameplay loop (in my head at least, this also assumes that Transcendence overrides Song of Flame's nade):
1. Storm grenade (specifcally more for boss dps, Jolt from Facet of Dominance) > 2. Pop super, pop Transcendence > 3. grenade, melee, weapons > 4. repeat 3 until both run out > weapon (or likely DPS phase over)
loop would be identical in addclear settings
Basically, the dream here are multiple things, but are likely to be shattered, because I'm like 70% sure that SoF will override Transcendence...
1. SoF + Transcendence + Osmiomancy - Absolute menace of a grenade recharge (if SoF counts for "grenade" in general, if it's only for solar...well rip)
2. In theory, very easy gameplay loop thanks to both Osmiomancy and Feed the Void, Facet of Purpose adding both Devour and Restoration (because of SoF) means, you're basically unkillable, if you weren't already with just Devour lol
3. Possible "pre-nerf" Starfire Protocol gameplay loop for DPS phases and for addclear, however, you're mobile because you're not stuck to a well or a rift.
Downsides (as of now):
1. obviously unknown damage
2. SoF ability recharge may not work for Transcendence
3. Transcendence MAY not override the SoF grenade, which would make the gameplay loop not synergize very well, because you are then forced to NEVER use your super during transcendence and vice versa
If the 3 downsides come into play, I'm very unlikely gonna play SoF tbh, the whole idea was to have (basically) sunbracers like grenade recharge rate but with the Freezing Singularity and with good damage for both addclear and bosses. I don't know, I'm not really a good player in Destiny 2, like mechanics wise, I understand most things, I'm just bad at executing them...i'm praying I can make this work, because this would be so much fun to just yeet black holes at enemies

Assassin and Gyrfalcon could be a wicked combo. I usually run a void SMG on my Grapple punch build anyway so having repulsor brace give shield plus facet of purpose giving woven while also being invis and have volatile rounds is crazy

I think they should increase the amount of buffs/debuffs to at least 6, if they’re not going to backpedal on putting them separate on right and left sides of the screen

They should put all the buffs and debuffs along the bottom of the screen similar to borderlands. Change the symbols up to make them easier to read and then put a small timer next to them (if necessary) and that would probably solve a lot of the UI problems

I think the list will be added on as the expansion continues, like how we got a new aspect for stasis and strand in later seasons. At least, that's what I would do. This is such a letdown as it is now.
