think it will be nerfed. Too easy to optain this GG shots and too op. It will be gjallarhorn 2.0 in terms of "Need to be Cel solar hunter with Still Hunt 2020 to enter fireteam". Also it will make dayone raid busted, only Hunters with still hunt to dmg

@@musicaltarrasque or they ban it for day one raid. which i think is more logical. Cause even if we will got bosses like legit Riven Still hunt is super each mag. Too op and easy to take out mini bosses or champions withot payback. The will make it charge on crit kills or take some super energy i think. Still it will be busted but not on gjallarhorn D1 level
With Celestial Nighthawk, this gun is Zen Meteors spiritual successor. Even got the better progression towards the super shot that we wanted on Zen Meteor. I can tell this will be one of my favorite exotics this DLC.
Zen Meteor as an ornament for it would be pretty fun. Especially if it carries over the sick flames from the perk proc

Being able to enjoy this exotic synergy AND run Prismatic is super exciting. Still Hunt looks to be a fast favorite for both DPS and really satisfying general gameplay. I don't think I've been this excited for a sniper since Cloudstrike.
So titans technically finally got a one-off super after forsaken

Twilight Arsenal seems to have good damage.
It's more like chaos reach, where you need to spend a couple seconds in super, but it is a ranged damage super :b
Pyrogale then use still hunt.
Chaos reach is longer than a couple seconds lol. And twilight arsenal appears to have the same windup time as silence & squal. Which is a one off super.

I rocked Golden Gun for all three years of D1. This brings joy to my heart to see Goldy getting some gooooooood ingredients for us to absolutely cook
You can hear the excitement in his voice when he talks about the hunter, but when he talked about the Titan in the previous video he sounds sad & disappointed😂 he's definitely a closet Hunter
Tbf the titan's prismatic and exotic class item just doesn't seem as interesting or exciting as the others.

This gun is what Vex Mythoclast should have had - getting Overcharge stacks from Precision Hits against PvE enemies (so it doesn't become a problem in PvP). I would love to use the Linear Fusion Shot more against Bosses or in DPS scenarios just because of the fun factor and the sound effects of the gun.
My silly whining aside though, this gun is going to be great to play with and I can't wait~
Man, I miss Stillpiercer. Would have been cool for this to be the updated version of it.
So, this is why they nerfed the Golden Gun + Star-Eater Scales method of stacking supers. Shit, with this exotic, you can almost do the same thing. Prep the sniper, pop it, then pop super, pick up orbs, pop sniper again.
That's not the only reason why the nerfed it lol. That flow is actually game breaking (see 1 phase of Nezerec in pantheon)

That isn't why they nerfed that combination. They nerfed that combination because you could use Golden Gun back to back, essentially never running out of Golden Guns.
It was nerfed because people were using it to gain infinite supers. Each shot basically dealt the same damage as like 2 rockets and you could do it infinitely.
You know what would be cool with The Final Shape? A arena where you can experiment with the Prismatic Subclass against different enemy types. Also a way to tweak the difficulty level of those enemies would be awesome. So like being able to adjust from regular vanguard 1600 difficulty to GM Nightfall 1840 difficulty.
a lot like what warframe allows ya to do, thatd be pretty damn cool addition to have in destiny so i can 100% agree with that type of thing

@@IIgroksII well that’s true but Onslaught won’t be around for The Final Shape. So you won’t have that to test Prismatic builds.

I’ve been running celestial nighthawk as my main exotic since it dropped all the ay back during house of wolves. With it getting a complimentary exotic weapon to go with it it now feels like a true complete journey for me having the armor and weapon to go with the ultimate 1 shot guardian

- Celestial Golden Gun Shot
- Celestial Still Hunt Shot
- 1 shot of your primary
- blow thy load with cascade point/b&s edge transit

It’s a great option for a cascade proc, if you start with a goldie, and use it to proc cascade you’ll likely be able to end with another shot. Potentially 3 Goldie’s in a single phase will be nuts

Man hunters are eating real GOOD, can’t say the same for us warlock mains.
Its super interesting, all the comments ive seen about warlocks and hunters say that 1 is terrible and the other is amazing.
Not really, both Hunter exotic armour pieces are straight trash and the super is catered towards PvP, very lame. This sniper is about the only good thing Hunters get but only because it works with Celestial.
The Hunter exotics suck ass, titans and warlocks either op or real good in endgame
Warlock exotics are boring to people who have mained warlocks their entire life

If it does work with surge mods. Spirit of the Foetracer will be a must have... Just damage the boss/enemy with an ability (has to be solar ability) and instantly get x4 solar surge. Plus spirit of star eater will be good to boost your celestial shot. Although it still might work with Still Hunt since Celestial does and it also casts like one... Might even do more than your actual super.
Watch Bungie disable it before day 1 raid for being op...

Warlocks you are welcome to mourn with me for still to this day, a lack of diverse dps builds that are worth a fuck as compared to our fellow hunters and titans
Since it counts as a super warlocks can take advantage of still hunt using spirit of star eater on the exotic class item. Also might be able to pair it with the new solar super to get some crazy damage
Warlocks have way more builds that are good than both Titan and Hunter. Outside of Solar Hunter with golden gun or lucky pants 90 percent of warlock builds are better. And titans? They have 1-2 dps setups tops that’s it. They don’t have shit on Warlock.
Titan doesn't have too much either tbf
@hatchell18 ikr. Warlocks have by far the best pve exotics. Titans(especially titans)and hunters don't have too many good pve exotics that synergize well

2020 power Still Hunt with Celestial, 3 Solar Surges, Radiant active, Someone Tractor Cannon target while behind a Banner Shield Titan and if Solar Burn and Increased Sniper Rifle activity damage is active.........my god this is the type of damage stacking that will make a sane person start a world war

But i have no way of veryfing how true is that. Im just going by feeling and trust....and im too lazy to damage test and do calculations myself
Maybe, when the DLC drops cross. See if still hunt works with star eaters? & also see if the marksman bonus persists after marksman godly & then into still hunt Goldie. Or vice versa.

If only we could use two exotic armor we could also proc Lucky pants to recharge the mini super and then use it to get better damage output.

We are giving everyone golden gun. The Warlock Nerf was simply to being other build types to endgame content - that is if you are talking about well of radiance.
In PVE it’ll have insane burst damage synergy. In PVP a good player will charge it quickly, punish, get ammo back, repeat.
Izzy will probably still be stronger in PvE rotations, but on Solar surge I see it getting a lot of use.
Using stillhunt to proc cascade point on edge transit with precision hits while building up the meter for those Goldy shots sounds absolutely creamy. I'm so excited to try this thing in damage rotations

My man got to play Final Shape early and went straight back to shooting at the grasp ogre. That's dedication right there.
I know the go-to is using this with golden gun super, but hear me out. Use this with the void class to get the tether debuff with star eaters the swap to celestial and use the sniper then. 8:43
That's a 30% buff instead of a 200% increase
I literally just got nighthawk tonight from a random exotic opening and now I’m gonna be rolling for a good one for a GG build

This thing is going to be insane for damage rotation. Nighthawk, still hunt, bait and switch or explosive light heavy. Man i might have to jump on my hunter again for this
I hope someone gave them some feedback about the ammo you get back, if you pop it at max ammo it should overflow the mag so you can chain it
I've been using Celestial non-stop lately so I am VERY excited for this one
If you can you can pop your sniper then pop your super and not only keep both, but have them both inherent nighthawk's giga shot after swapping off of nighthawk like they do now the lucky pants swaps will go absolutely INSANE!
oh my god i didnt know it had golden gun synergy, i avoided all trailers, videos, just anything that spoiled the dlc before i played the campaign, this is awesome to know.
Celestial is already my fav hunter exotic/build i go for. So getting this sniper just enables it even more
So pumped to come back to destiny the builds seem like they will have much more depth.
If this works with spirit of galanor and spirit of star eater, while using grapple grenade, combination blow, void aspect and whatever you else hunters gonna be crazy

Considering how consistent everything has been so far of treating Cayde's Retribution as a Super, I'm extremely curious to see if Star-Eater Scales works too. Could potentially be better for Prismatic since we can run that plus another perk at the same time.

Its insane, just in approximately 3 sec u deal 1,2 million dmg combining hawk, super and sniper, take a BaS weapon and u melt bosses in an instant, this is ridiculous 😱
If celestial works then star-eater might also work and that would give quite a bit of benefit to exotic clas items that roll with spirit of star eaters

Its hilarious to me that Bungie nerfed star-eaters to counteract the 6 goldy hunter trick, and then added an exotic that lets you do it on all classes and solo.
Heres what will happen. The expansion will be good and fun, and all there will be lots of weapons and abilties that will be super strong and fun. Bungie will consider them "unhealthy" and nerf them when nobody asked for nerfs but were asking for buffs to other things. Im going to play the expansion, but the first round of nerfs signs my deleting of account and game and I will never come back because I'm sick of Bungie doing this same toxic dance over and over. They lure you in with shiny things, then they take the shiny things away. Its why all my friends and clan mates left.

I woudln't be surprised if Star-Eaters got nerfed because of Still Hunt as well, not just the 6-man goldie strat itself but having a grand total of 36 golden shots before a new rotation is nuts.
But having an extra bosshawk in the pocket cooks
I really hope this synergizes with the solar fragment where super final blows cause ignitions, i know snipers arent ad clear weapons but man it would be cool
Cool, it looks as though o.g Marksman Gg fills the light Subclass quicker. Using both would nearly or fully refill it. Back to back to back supers seems near possible with the new Artifact items and Exotic armor/synergy.
It’ll be interesting to see if it’ll also work with the star eater perk on the exotic class item too on top of celestial
can’t wait to use use these on the Witness/raid boss

Would be nice if ager scepter got the same treatment. Instead of consuming your super, it just had its own super bar.
Plus we don't know what the season mods are so they might synergise really well.
My guess is it's a Sniper and Pulse mods to coincide with the buffs they are getting.

this gun is going to be my special ammo replacement for sunshot on my nighthawk build now, its so sexy
So when onslaught started I wanted to help whatever team I ended up in and decided on tether hunter and started looking at the exotics I had access to at the time since up to that point I'd only played as a titan. One of them was nighthawk which I decided its first ability to increase super bar on precision kills would help feed into me getting more tethers and in turn increase my build's purpose. With still hunt coming out getting to tether a boss, proc mini golden, then since every hit is precision refill the mini golden super fast makes me very happy I decided to use nighthawk incorrectly.
you can always run orpheus rigs! that feedbacks into the super really nicely, you get one almost per round, sometimes 3 per round if you play it right
Me and a friend were taking about Still hunt and how its basically an extra super you can carry. But ine of us had a idea that you can put like a warlock super in there or a Titan super and make them different weapons for each class but each class can still use it so you can have a void bomb granade launcher and Shadow shot hunter or a Thunder Crash fusion rifle with a warlock to just jolt everything i dont know any names for the wepon but we both liked giving the warlocks a granade launcher nova bomb and a fusion rifle that could launch a thunder crash when both fully charged.
I just realized that Titans have a Ward of Dawn glaive but I meant offensive weapons

The build I want is a exotic class item with lucky pants and celestial nighthawk. Plus wardens law and still hunt. Would be insane with them damage numbers.
Since the Speaker Helmet exotic they're adding generates orbs on healing, I wonder if it'll generate enough orbs that the new cheese becomes
1x Speaker Warlock spamming heals to churn out orbs

If this isn't locked behind campaign completion; yes its most definitely tied to a quest.
This would probably be the meta choice in the day one raid race.

The recent videos from Bungie and Cross made me preorder FS. I wasn't going to buy it because I thought it will be another Lightfall situation but Bungie seems to have learned from those mistakes

I can see this being used to just double nighthawk when a damage phase starts, then swapping to lucky pants. Kind of like a izanagi but only for a single shot.
Now they they should do this with other classes, like a void fusion rifle to imitate a nova, and an arc shotgun to imitate t-crash

A prismatic celestial build with still hunt is gonna be possibly my fsvorite build of all time. Will hsvr thr damage from sniper and Golden gun plus acess to threaded spike or spector etc or basically assiasins cowl arc hunter by using combination blow plus stylish executioner with winters shroud.....or tons if other things to pair my celestial nighthawk build with. I cant wait to have my cake and eat it too 😋.

@Aztecross, fantastic vid - I thought it initially it would be a discount golden gun but only 5% less damage is very respectable. I run a Titan and I've had a heap of fun with this. I didn't realise you could pair it with Celestial Nighthawk so now I'm going to run my Hunter through the campaign and go from Lucky Pants/Malfeasance (given there is a heap of Taken) to Celestial Nighthawk/Still Hunt. Also, have you thought of doing a Still Hunt v Whisper of the Worm damage comparison (I was about to say Black Spindle)?
I genuinely can’t believe they made this a special weapon, it’s gonna cook so hard.
