Nothing wrong with that. In this day and age you can't afford to give it away. Can you imagine raising five children and caring for all those animals? Be realistic, man. He's doing what most would call impossible.

I mean I get what you're saying but this type of information is given away for free everyday all across America. Farmers get together over coffee talk, discuss, work together and brainstorm in rural towns all across America. They're happy to share and help for free, they work regular jobs or work just their land and feed their families without the sales pitch. I get what Justin is doing and why but at the same time the information he is selling is given away freely for motivated people to gather and utilize and not only in rural America but across the internet.

I love how focused and interested in getting the chores done the kids are and how well they know the routine and how to take care of the animals. Gideon is just a pure joy to see. I think becoming a big brother has helped him mature.

I have been watching your channel since you were carrying Mr. Brown around on your back. I happened across your videos on chickens and was hooked. I have enjoyed watching you and your family and farm grow. You have so much useful information and very entertaining. Thank you. I have been praying for your son. God's healing touch for his up coming surgery.

That area where you are trying to grow squash lolks like the wood chips are pulling your nitrogen there. That would explain the yellowing of the leaves as well. A cover crop would be amazing there to replenish nitrogen in the area. 😊

That was just lovely ❤️ You both have raised such beautiful humans. Seeing little Lilly in the kitchen and your big boys out on the farm on machines 😳 and Gideon really coming into his own. All that patience and love is paying off so visibly. Young Henry is growing so fast 🥰 and what an enthusiastic helper.
Such a pleasure to watch. Well done to you all ❤️❤️❤️

Great video, Justen. It does not happen all at once that is for sure. The term you were looking for when you were talking about children, the business of the homestead and your needs was coined by Jim Rohn, “Enlightened self interest.”

Hello. I have very much enjoyed watching ur family over the last 3 plus years since I have became disabled from a serious illness. When u said u didn't know how the weeds r growing so well in the little green house, I was thinking it was acting like a terrarium pulling the moisture up from the ground. I know ground plants grow better because they pull water from the ground and don't just get water from above. Thank u so much for sharing ur lives with ur UA-cam family. B

🇦🇺Print a recipe book for each of your kids. I done this a few years ago for my grandchildren. I collected favourite recipes from my mum and each of my girls, husband as well. Appetisers, main meals and desserts. Now they will always have it. I personalised it with their name, Brodie’s recipe book 1. I’m in the process of making another one for Christmas gifts.

    • @drummerlovesbookworm9738

I did that, too! I bought all my grandkids the empty recipe binders off Amazon and got them started with their favorite recipes and old family recipes. Now I add to them and what’s very cool is that they are adding to their own, too!
I also started “Hope Chests” for each of them. In our family the girls got beautiful Hope Chests when we turned 16. But I bought them for the boys, too.
I’ve made quilts for each one and I had everybody choose a Christmas china pattern that I add another place setting to every year. But I also had to find krumkakke irons and Swedish spritz cookie guns for them all so they could make the family cookie recipes.
I have a lot of fun collecting things they will have when they are grown and I am gone. 🤎

Rebekah, I used to listen to Dr. Laura Schlessinger, too, and really enjoyed how she would take people to task. I didn't know she was even still on the air.

Justin my husband and I followed you for years, although you were younger you were our mentor. On 02/02/2023 my husband went to Jesus at the age of 54 and my life took a very bad turn 😔😭 I'm struggling to find my way "back"! One day I just longed for something I can feel connected to him with. I thought of you and your family. I've been binge watching to catch up. On the 20th March our grandson Noah was born. He spent time with granny to keep me focused and he started listening to your vlogs. Now I believe he might be your youngest fan. He is currently watching this video again. His parents follow you guys now as well 🤗 it's so adorable! If he doesn't wake up to you his mom is in trouble 😁, homesteader in the making. Greetings from South Africa 🤗🌻

We did a food collection of same day expiring food. It was to support people in need because a lot could be frozen and used as needed. One thing I thought was what if the salad bags (which you couldn't eat, it was too far gone) went to feed pigs. There's so much food waste but pork could be the answer.

I so agree with you Justin about the getting a little better every year. We are going on 14 years and it's a bit better set-up every year. It's been a journey getting things we need to run the hobby farm over all these years. Our hobby farm is little, less than 10 acres. We just have small animals; chickens, turkey, ducks, goat, and a bunny besides a house/yard cat . We have raised pigs before but not this year. I just got a large Gorilla cart and we have to take down several trees from Emerald Ash Borer damage so that will help with stacking the fire wood! Lily is a fantastic cook! Cute with the real kiss! Vanilla is doing so good! Nice job training her for milking Justin! You can just milk her in the pasture! You got Sally back? Good idea to use the winch! It was the mud that slid you back into the trench. It was great to see all the boys had cleared with the equipment after seeing you clearing with chainsaws last winter. Soooo much faster and perhaps safer? The new silvopasture is looking great. That was a great tour of the improved and ever improving Rhodes homestead!
