I am obsessed with motorcycles since 2014 ish, and my motorized bike is as close as i can legally get to a motorcycle. rode a Yamaha crypton in a closed circuit once (i know, its not a motorcycle) but i loved that thing. pretty damn good power for a 110 tho.
It's cool that people are saying that these bike kits got them into motorbikes but I did it the other way around. I've had motorbikes I've built and worked on my cars but I still built myself an 80/66cc bike. I went for the off-road look with an aluminium frame. They aren't legal on the road at all in Britain so I avoid busy roads and if I see the Police I cut the engine and pedal or I mime pedalling :-)
That's awesome! I also used to pedal when there was a lot of people around, just to so I wouldn't scare someone with the loud noise. Thanks for sharing!
Haha I do the same. Just completed must first big trip to Surbiton from Winchester where about are you? I can't believe there aren't more people sneakily using these kits in England. And actually I broke the engine on the way back and am still slightly mystified as to what I did wrong. Didn't bring a wrench and think the head bolts might've come a bit loose and crushed the head gasket into the cylinder. :(
I gotta say, you should get a longer and thicker chain and lock to lock your bike up, and also lock through the frame, they can just unbolt your front wheel and steal you bike, and then steal somebody else's front wheel and they've got a new bike
I wish I could answer your questions, but I've got no idea of what brand the engine is, since I got it from a local store that knows less about the bike that I do, sorry man
That is not really true they were originally made in Russia an American dude married to a Chinese girl that goes by Grubee saw a Russian made one in China a bunch of years ago when he went with his wife to visit and started the Skyhawk company which cloned the kit and started the whole revolution. Yes there are a bunch of them sold on ebay.com under no name, but there are little bigger companies that put out thousands of them out a month such as JLZeda (jlzeda.com) and CDH power now that makes great kits now too. You could email contact me at lquinones1954@hotmail.com, if you want to know more about them as I am a distributor in the US and Latin America. I usually just whole sale them, but maybe I can guide you in the right direction instead of making up stories like if I really knew and if I don't know I will try to find out or just straight out tell you that I don't know.
avoid the really cheap ebay motors.. you get what you pay for, abit more money goes a long way with the Zeda 80 motors, anther very good motor is bicycle motor works custom ported engine, straight out of the box mine will do 48 mph and its got the upgraded hardware balaced crank ect. girls can build bike too !!1
It is. Totally legal almost everywhere. Go for it. I just ordered my kit. Between the cost of my mountain bike and my engine kit, I'll have less than $250 invested. Well worth it as you can see by Hans's videos!
Lemuellee Quinones but do they actually work? When I had a pocket bike as a kid and the homeowners association at my old house kept threatening to call the cops I tried everything to make it quiet and nothing really worked short of not using it
I just bought one of these, people consider adding a Reed kit and expansion chambers on these "performance mods".... I'm just trying to make it run correctly, because it allows the scavenging affect 2 strokes are known for
I rode mine from my shop to the restaurant for breakfast every morning and never had a problem with the cops here in San Antonio Texas... and mine was a Lot faster and louder than this one... 43mph and running a KTM 50 pipe with no silencer. I did like the looks I would get when passing up cars on a bicycle tho... I'm guessing it's where you live or what side of town you're on because I've never had an issue and haven't heard of anyone here getting any problems with the cops.
Why? Wouldn't the lack of air from the carburetor mean that more fuel runs in due to the wheel spinning. It would cool the engine though. But running rich is understandable. Explosion wise would be a factor in the cylinder to loosen the head nuts if that's a thing.

@@brunomusraimondo7710 that makes sense to me. Excellent. Now that I know this. I'm gonna have to brake early than before. These kits been around 40+years.
I've seen them all my life used by people.
this is costa rica right?
and you get all that sun not bad
What country are you riding it in? is it legal to ride without registration and insurance? and do i need a license to ride this?

well if you had it 49cc its legal
What exhaust do you have on your bike? Sounds pretty gnarly!
What brand of 2stroke engine? Runs real smooth
How many miles was that?
@Hans Karlsson, did you use loctite on your bolts, or just lock washers?
Just lock washers, never noticed the bolts getting loose between maintenance periods.
@@hanskarlsson525 ok, sounds good. I hope that will be good, as I don't want to disassemble it and put loctite on
How to change oil
Is that the huffy Cranbrook cruiser?
you need to lean out your jet its 4 stroking in the midrange
I'm already playing around with the needle adjustment, if that is not enough, I'll get my hands on a jet kit.

cheaper gas mileage that's for sure

In a 4stroke engine you can engine brake without any problem because they are lubricated with oil in the cranckcase
But in a 2 stroke the lubrication is in the fuel
So when you let go te throtle and close the carburator you are giving just enough fuel and lubrication to the engine to idle
But since you're going at higher speeds than idle your engine overheats because the lack of lubrication and when an engine does not have enough lubrication it creates friction and that friction is whag generates heat wich seizes uo your engine
Note: some two strokes have injeted oil and the lubrication isnt in the fuel but those are in much biger engines like the detroit 2stroke diesels
Hope you learned something new and if you didnt quite understand me (cause i'm argentinian and english isnt my first languaje) you can always go watch a video on why engine braking is so bad for a 2 stroke

2 strokes will not get proper lubrication if they coast in gear because the oil comes from the gas mixture.
